Exactly, and in DBD.
The only thing that we can do is make the best of it, right?
The problem is it's not the best out there , not everyone knows about these things before they happen and often don't sign up in time , also there's way too much camping and tunneling in the tournament for it to be considered skill based anyway, if I wanted to see someone get hard proxy camped and tunneled out I'd find a rank 20 streamer and watch them
-
I wonder if her add on where she can see survivors when they puke works with this bug? I might hop on and test it out
-
My favorite is the insidious, noed, bloodwarden exit gate nurse build
-
So you ignored infectious and then got surprised she came up there? There's not enough footage there to even tell if that was a good nurse or not, you literally sat there on the gen injured anyway knowing she saw where you were at

So after struggling with my gaming PC for multiple weeks straight and having multiple blue screens of death I am strongly considering selling my PC and moving to console. I have a PS4 Pro and I am okay with re buying some killers and re earning BP/perks. My biggest concern is if the game is good/playable on PS4 Pro for playing killer. If I can get my PC repaired I will later sell it and get a PS5, but for a few months I will likely have to make due with my PS4 Pro. Does the game currently run well on PS4 Pro and is it possible to play well as killer with a controller against PC survivors. I am at my wits end with PC gaming and have come to learn it’s not for me. The only game I really enjoy playing on my PC is DBD so if it runs well on PS4 Pro/PS5 I will probably sell my PC but before doing so I need to know how the game runs on these platforms. Any input from console players on these subjects would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Pc, switch, and ps4 pro and I can confirm that it does run well on the ps4 , it's not as smooth as pc but it's not a gigantic difference like some people make it out to be

When you play killer at high ranks, you get a hodgepodge of very good and very bad survivors. This shouldn't be the case. The ranking system, especially on the survivor side, inflates their skill. As a survivor, you don't have to interact with the killer to get points and rank up. As a killer you HAVE to interact with ALL survivors to get points and rank up. The system is simply too lenient on survivors and allows them to be carried to ranks where they don't belong.
On the other hand, at high levels of play, this game is very painful to play, and it's primarily because the balance of the game is so focused on lower levels of play. Things like DS and DH are completely balanced at intermediate levels of play, but they become abusively broken when survivors are good enough to know how to use them.
If they could push the potatoes out of high ranks then rank might actually start to mean something in this game

Which actually is a thing on DBD, since the player retention in this game is very poor. Scott actually made a video recently on this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHJ84LN4vz4
But basing game balance on bad play is a poor way to balance any game. Counting on players to be bad is actually why it's so painful to play as a solo survivor on this game, and it's why it's so painful to play killer at high ranks.
I agree with some of what you said but if all of what you said was true then playing killer at high ranks would be a walk in the park which we both know it's not when you're facing a good team, I think it comes down to some killers being able to handle the meta survivors and the killers who really lack map pressure or a threatening power being the ones that suffer the most against the meta, I'm not the best nurse in the world or anything but I can't remember the last time I didn't at least kill 3 when I use her, I 3kd the depip squad with my nurse back when they were active

The video elucidates DS' ability to be used offensively. You can pick apart every tiny millisecond of video and every minor mistake the killer made, but it doesn't change that fact.
You're right, my calculations don't tell the whole story, as I've left out the time it takes to down the survivor in the first place, which can take 20-30 seconds, providing an additional 40-60 seconds of gen time.
You also fail in your attempt to explain what a stun is. A survivor moves at 4 meters per second. A standard killer moves at 4.6 meters per second, 15% more. Lets just assume that what you said is right and DS gives 3 seconds of stun. A survivor has moved 12 meters in this time. The killer then gives chase. If the survivor is 12 meters away, while moving, it will take the killer about 20 seconds to catch up in a straight line. If there are obstacles in the way and the survivor successfully negotiates them, this time is increased.
This is basic math. If 4 DS's are used, and the survivors just run in straight lines after using them, DS has given them more than 50% of the time it takes to do all 5 gens, just on its own. Just by running DS, you increase your team gen efficiency by 56%.
Lol and you expect randoms to do the gens? That's hilarious, if this game were SWF only I would say DS is unfair but with the way some of these people play it's no wonder they've left it alone, not every solo game is terrible and not every survivor is bad buts it racks my brain how some of these people can be that stupid, how do they get to red ranks and still not understand how the game works?

1. Master Nurse
2. Play Nurse every Match
3. Use Ruin, Undying, Tinkerer, BBQ or in the new case Devour, Undying, Pop, BBQ
4. Use Kavangha's Last Breath and Fragile Wheeze every Match (her best Add-On combo)
5. Wet yourself by how good you are.
I'm actually not a fan of that add on combo I like to use the spoon to have built in stridor and fragile wheeze for the recharge but I never use any of her purple add ons besides bad man's last breath sometimes, my perks kinda vary to whatever I feel like using
-
It's only gonna be bad for the clown if he uses it in a strong loop and doesn't throw the slowdown gas, but why would you not throw the slow down and just give the survivors a speed boost? If someone is dumb enough to try and catch survivors with the yellow gas at somewhere like killer shack then they deserve whatever happens, I would use it more for map pressure or for when a survivor you're in chase with uses balanced landing or sprint burst to flee an area you can catch them faster because they aren't gonna backtrack to the gas.
-
Just give me a middle finger emote and I'll be a satisfied man , shut up and take my money
-
It's impossible to balance because all it takes is one survivor doing a challenge to end up getting everyone killed or one survivor who's not so good, also it doesn't account for when killers are doing meme builds or playing a certain way for whatever reason, I feel like everything is for the most part balanced in this game except gen speeds which is what the problem has always been , gen speeds have always been the elephant in the room being ignored by the devs.
They need to make a secondary objective for once you reach red ranks that are equally as important as gens , that way the newbies won't be overwhelmed and once you hit high ranks gen rushing won't be as powerful and people will actually need skill to survive the trial while also giving survivors something besides generators to focus on to escape, and thus kicking the potatoes who barely make it to red ranks back out to where they belong so truly the best are in that category.

I can’t if they still have 1 or 2 gens left to repair, and won’t.
Then start being toxic back until it becomes fun to you , obviously you don't care about the game at that point so just down someone and stand over their body until they bleed out and rinse and repeat to everyone else I promise you theyll either all die that way or the gens will fly by

Hello. I've been enjoying the game a lot lately. Whether I play a survivor or a killer. But there is one thing that happens to me all the time and always makes me angry. Every single game I play against the Plague, I'm upset. The reason is that my teammates still need to cleanse themself. Even after a few seconds of triggering the timer. They didn't even get sick and go to cleanse. In my opinion, as a good survivor, I should not cleanse myself against the Plague. Cleansing gives the killer a strong advantage. Yes, I'm one hit survivor but it's still better than facing a corrupt purge. I can loop the killer for an amount of time. Many times I am forced to cleanse, but even so, we are still losing. Whenever I realize it's the Plague, it's pretty much gg. Do I have a bad mentality?
I only cleanse if I'm playing solo and my teammates start cleansing, the plague already starts with one fountain so she can still use her power

If the killer has clearly given up and is waiting by a gate switch, PLEASE JUST HURRY UP AND FINISH REPAIRS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, AND GET THE HELL OUT!!!
You’ve won ok!!
You don’t get to complain about how “boring” it is if the killer does this if you’ve shown complete disregard for how frustrating each and every chase you have made for the killer, or “boring” the match is for the killer.
If it’s that “boring” to you, then all the more reason to just hurry up and get out so EVERYONE can get into a fresh game sooner. One that is hopefully less “boring” to you trolls!
Stop trying to force the killer into being your point farming play toy, whilst still being complete #########.
Stop trying to see if you can mentally break another player by all your vault slamming, locker spamming, and holding that player hostage in a game that YOU can end by just doing your objective and getting the hell out.
Stop trying to force a DC just because the killer is done with with being your play toy.
I’m tired of this trolling culture across so many survivors. If you’ve won, you’ve won. Stop prolonging the torture and purposefully stopping another player from getting into a new game.
Or you could stop being overdramatic about it and just open the damn door to force the timer to start and the survivors to leave
-
The nurse is fine, I don't have a bit of issue playing her and in fact I have more fun playing her than anyone else

Sometimes it's to be annoying, sometimes it's to give you my item after good match, and the only other time would be to make sure everyone else makes it out.

Why is Wraith required to return to the Physical world to pick up a survivor off the ground?
He isn't required to do so to pick a survivor out of a locker.
Or kick a gen, or kick a pallet, he is vulnerable to light. He can't even walk through survivors while Stealthed. He often needs to go around them or hit them if they are in his way. I say these things to show why I believe Wraith should be allowed to pick up a survivor while Stealthed.
Even if the answer is "We don't need to do that, Wraith already wins 99% of his games" I would love to hear some kinda response to the idea... Thanks for your time and happy new year :)
Well it would actually be a disadvantage for the wraith and the reason why is because then you could flashlight save without blinding him , he could be carrying someone to the hook and just get burned over and over from any angle , the current form makes more sense to stay the way it is because then at least you could face a wall or turn away to avoid the save, also wraith is about to get reworked in some aspects of his power

I don't think being here long has anything to do with it.
If you honestly think sending this game to another dev team who understands literally nothing about how it's built is going to somehow make it a better game then there's no point in discussing anything with you.
Imagine giving GTA to literally any dev team, do you think they'd suddenly understand how it works and make it better or? You have to realise Rockstar have been making GTA games since 1997, BHVR have been working on (the only real successful PVP asymmetrical game) for 4 years.
But sure, lets compare them because that sounds like a reasonable thing to do, yikes.
This game isn't rocket science it's literally simple button interactions with very small animations in play, it wouldn't take another game developer long to understand how it works don't pretend like a company like EA or Rockstar isn't smart enough to understand the concept of this game and how things should work , in fact I'd be willing to bet they could balance it better as well because they have more money and other resources that BHVR more than likely couldn't match up to due to the fact they aren't a very big company to begin with

You can't appease everyone so being upset by some decisions that others like isn't a valid reason for wanting the game sold to another company.
Thinking the bugs would be fixed by an entirely new team is exactly the kind of thinking I'd expect from this forum, lmao.
Bro BHVR can't even get running and pushing an action button right , do you not see that, you can laugh your ass off all you want but another company would definitely do a better job and I'm not talking about balance wise I'm talking the bugs and the bullshit that pops up every patch , gta is a way bigger game with more controls and more people in a single lobby and bigger map, BHVR can't even get half a city block worth of map space to work right and every thing under the sun has a bullshit bug at some point , it honestly a joke that youve been here so long and don't see that yet

I don't see iri huntress as a problem.
First of all, those 2 addons are really expensive and rare.
Second is, that killers using those addons are not really good at aiming.
The only problem with that is what happens when they do decide to use them? And I mean the actual good players who are ridiculously accurate, just because most of the times it's a noob running it doesn't mean anything when at any point someone like scott jund could go to his stockpile of like 700 iri heads and play them for the rest of the year every time he decides to play huntress if he chooses

I really wanna know if there's a significant difference in the iq of console players, cause they seem to be the usual culprit. Gens are all done, one gate's open, other gate is at 70. Get hooked right next to the gate. Two people come to save me, both healthy. They don't even manage the unhook. Both got downed. All you had to do was open the gate first. Like, how hard is this?
You don't know if they're console or not because windows store appears with a globe, and sadly it's not an exclusive behavior to console I see it all the time at red ranks , It will never matter how much they balance the game when people with extremely low iq are your teammates, I swear I would almost rather have actual bots as my teammates at times

It activates quite often against gen rushing SWF, usually cleared within 15 seconds of hitting someone sometimes not too long after gates power. But usually game ends before all gens are done, either due to keys or cause they got sacrificed sooner
As of right now Id be willing to bet noed is usually cleansed within 120 seconds anyway more often than not even if by chance it does activate against good survivors

That would be a very bad use of noed just for one person... Why not use rancor then? If I play with noed I make sure to patrol it and the gates if killer camps 1 person it's a loss for killer but a win for 3 survivors
If you're facing good survivors noed doesn't activate at all in the current form so please explain how a guarantee to use the perk every match could possibly be a nerf ?

That's actually not a nerf to NOED it's a buff because it can be taken out before it happens currently and in that form you could always use it in every game but you just couldnt down someone and straight face camp anymore waiting on the totem to go, it solves the killer not getting to use the perk at all against good survivors and it solves face camping with it in the end game by giving it a timer , seems fair

For the same reason as above, depending on context, but quite often it is done with the intent to upset someone and waste their time as much as possible. They wait at each gate; make you walk back and fourth between each of them to swing (and miss because they wait to run out) and then back to the other gate to do the same thing OR just wait the entire timer out.
The latter example, targeting specifically one person is actually a reportable offense. It takes hard evidence; but it is.
Spamming anything, a behaviour that is done with the intention of upsetting someone, because you KNOW it has the ability to do so, is an intentional act of causing grief to another person. That is bullying. Especially in the context I mentioned above.
Sure it's not something reportable because it's level of harm is low; but yeah, it does imply a certain standard of morality to that person in many people's eyes.
It's not anyone's fault but your own if you allow yourself to be upset by a game, nothing in this game but the chat can be considered bullying, if someone plays better than you that's not bullying even if they are t bagging or whatever, do you expect people to just not have fun in the game? Because I can tell you right now if you do nothing but hold M1 and try to hide you must have some really boring games , sometimes you have to BM to get a target on you and get them to chase you instead of a weaker link, or sometimes if you know you can get away with stuff you will just for the laughs it's never a personal attack on that person but people are so soft they take the game as if it's real life and everytime they walk out of the house they're gonna be t bagged and flashlight clicked it's ridiculous.

No one with 7.5k hours like you claim you have would say self care is the best perk.
As a player with 9.5k hours I approve this message, self care is absolutely garbage and it's way better to bring a medkit or just run adrenaline and resilience and genrush, the gens don't take that long to get done and unless you're bad in a chase you shouldn't need to heal more than a couple times in the whole match, if you're healing more than twice a match you're literally killing your team because at that point you could take the seconds and start applying them to gens that should've been done, and that's not even counting when the killer has sloppy butcher and you start wasting a minute for every heal with self care
-
It doesn't matter how good the game is balanced because alot of people lack intelligence and common sense in this game I swear it's astonishing how many people are bad at red ranks on both survivor and killer, I just don't understand it.

I don't think that is enough to knock him down too much imo.
The reason being is calm spirit is not exactly the most common perk to run into because it's not always useful. Also, the chances of running into MULTIPLE survivors with it is far rarer. One person with it is not enough to throw an entire game for me as doctor; especially with my usual builds. I've gone against it and it's never really caused a noticeable problem for me. If it was that easy, perks like Infectious fright would be considered "Not very good" when we know it's a god tier perk on some killers. Doctor basically has that built in, freeing up another slot for any detection perk of your choosing calm spirit can't counter.
I agree with "B" though still. I mean that is where Otz puts him as well:
That's pretty much the way my list goes except I would move hag and spirit down to A tier , in my opinion nurse in a whole class of her own that no other killer can't currently compare to
-
@[Deleted User] said:
With addons? Yeah, he's up there. He's not weak that's for sure.
Calm Spirit can really be a problem for him though....
And that's why I leave him B tier because his power can partially be negated by calm spirit on the tracking side of things which is supposed to be what he's best at , shock cancellation at loops is good but doesn't always work out if the survivor is good enough to play around that and stay up. He's just not fast enough and his power doesn't do any damage is what holds him back from an A tier in my book but hey to each their own I guess, maybe you're just better at Doc than I am so you grade him higher
-
The only thing I can think of that makes Doctor A tier would be his ability to track and his ability to shut down loops but in my opinion I feel like he's more on the edge of an upper B tier killer because he lacks mobility

Everyone is p3, I immediately spend every bloodpoint I get into whoever I'm leveling up at the moment until they're p3 and I have all the perks on my main characters, survivors: Dwight, Claudette, Jeff, Cheryl, Felix
Killers: Nurse, Billy, Doctor, Clown, Trapper, Myers
-
I'm more of a balanced landing fan when I do run an exhaustion perk but if not balanced than dead hard/lithe are my go to choices, I don't like to use dead hard alot because I get too cocky with how much distance I have and try to squeeze an extra loop before I use it to get to a window or pallet so that when it is used its like I pushed a reset button on the chase

I’d just like some tips against how to get away from him, because he can track blood orbs directly to you so his tracking is insane, especially with sloppy and nurses
Your best bet is to run him long enough that he leaves you and focuses on gens, truth be told even if you don't get injured like some are suggesting it doesn't matter because if your team does get injured at all you're gonna have to face his power, the best advice would be to learn to run tiles correctly in a chase and when given the opportunity to reset (like when you and a survivor finish a gen together) take it and heal up to prevent him constantly tracking you, if he focuses on you and doesn't quit he's throwing the game if you can keep the chase going
-

Well now that they made ranking extremely easy to do and the terrible rank reset change barely moving anyone, everyone is piling up at red ranks. Somewhat on killer, but extremely pronounced on survivor.
It's so bad on survivor I partied up with a fellow rank 1 after a decent match and while we were in the next game I called out that the killer had tinkerer and his response was "what does that do? 🤦
-
I got it in a day and I had a few extra matches than I thought I should so I'm thinking you have to do an entire gen alone with no help
-
I think it's really a toss up and depends on what killer and on what map you're playing , gen speeds are busted but so are certain killers on certain maps with good loadouts, it's probably as balanced as it can be in this type of game
-
I don't ever DC and the only time I suicide on hook is if I've given the killer a long chase and no one is on gens and no gens completed, there's no point in playing a game where nobody is doing objectives I'd rather die and move on to the next match with people who actually want to play the game and not scared to do gens
