Nope lol definitely not me you can review my comments on bloodlust if you'd like , I said that it would highlight the killers who need a buff and allow them to get what they deserve

you just don't have the key on you? or in swf cases your told they have franklins.
smart survivors don't hold onto keys until they know if franklins is in the trial and that is if they didn't last second switch as it's pretty uncommon to face a killer using franklins if they see no keys or FL's are brought to the game and last second switching can't be reacted to by switching perks, if the killer is prepared good on them but that is rare.
Well we can agree to disagree I guess , but I just know anytime I run Hag items or not I run Franklin's as a just in case for last second switching or keys found in game
-
So if you don't tunnel and one hook Mori how does the change matter? You can still use the Mori and most of the good players used them on death hook anyway so they could maximize points in the trial because it's too easy to one hook Mori, that's why big name streamers never use them and people like scott kind and tru3 have hundreds stockpiled on killers because it was too boring and took no skill to win that way
-
@AChaoticKiller said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1805405#Comment_1805405
yeah i agree however if the killer has franklins they drop the key to prevent it from being consumed. it's more of a semi counter that again depends on who you vs.
Like i said it just depends on who you vs, even in the case of mori vs key the survivors can escape with 1 or 2.
But how do you know they have Franklin's until someone is already hit with it? If I ran the hag and Franklin's I could literally negate every key in the trial by simply trapping the items when I knock them out but I have nothing like that to negate the old Mori is my point, now Moris are equally balanced with a key
-

No keys are problematic even in games you would win as killer, good survivors who realize a key is in the game will basically win since 2 or 3 can easily escape.
survivors that are even decent get at least 2 gens done, most of the time 3 gens get done which makes it spawn for 2 survivors. However it's also not unreasonable to get to the 4th gen which is usually when someone is on death hook, if a survivor dies at that point the killer has to protect gens and the other 3 can simply play stealthy until they find hatch.
For vs'ing a bunch of decent survivors mori's are stronger, but against good survivors or decent swf's keys are stronger. it's a situational thing that depends on who you play against. Both of them basically seal the game for their side, even tunneling a key user out doesn't change the fact that the key is in the trial and still usable.
Yea but Franklin's can totally remove it from the game and survivors don't have a perk that stops Moris because they completed an objective, at least the killers have a solid counter to a key while survivors that are camped and one hook Mori'd don't stand a fighting chance and can't even use DS to save themselves unless it's in a locker which the devs have already said they are going to address at some point
-
I can already see the " Bot OP " posts lmao
-
@Dismas said:

Pretty sure its 4
Nope it's five , that hatch doesn't spawn unless all gens are done with 4 people alive and from there it spawns with 3 survivors 1 gen left, 2 survivors 2 gens left, 1 survivor 3+ gens
-
I really hope so it's way overdue and sad that it's not already been done in the paid version of the game

If they added "training" to consoles, and didn't make sure it was an even worse grind, I wouldn't be mad.
I've advocated for training mode since mobile got it , I'm quite pissed the free mobile version has more to offer than a version I've spent so much money on

you say that with ur OP perks and pink keys which guarantees a free escape most of the time
Yea a free escape after all the gens are done and you've already lost the trial, the hatch doesn't spawn unless survivors are dead already or you've lost the game anyway, for keys to be broken like old Moris I would be able to hop out the hatch after one gen , that's the equivalent of tunneling straight off hook with a Mori

Or you shouldn't be pitted against those of a much higher rank than you.
I feel for the low ranks right now, but I've been stuck in red ranks. There is so much variability in skill that rank seems almost useless.
Overall I think ranking up needs to be harder, much harder.
Rank needs to be thrown out all together and let devotion be the thing that matchmaking depends on, once you're above devotion 2 you should be pitted against anyone because you've played the game long enough to have a understanding of how it works and it's just refining skill at that point.

even if I did do something like that "only to people with keys regular players only got deathhook mori" I wouldn't trash talk the endgame chat, every game ends with a gg whether I win or lose, its how the survivors react to the gg that depends on if I roast them or not
Yea well that's you and not the majority of the players who do that, not only that but people comparing Moris to keys should understand that people have to be dead for the hatch to spawn unless all the gens are done first in which case you lost anyway and they'll take the gate out, with the old Mori you could literally take a survivor out the game in the first minute or two if you chose to tunnel immediately, that's like the equivalent of me doing one gen and then popping out the hatch for an escape which isn't possible , if anything it's more closely balanced to the key now with the way it works.

If you know how much a dead survivor harms a team, and they ghost themselves, it’s a major advantage to the killer.
People only want to find the negative in everything is the problem on the forums it doesn't matter what the devs do , in some way, shape , or form they will get trashed on for any change that gets made

They fail to see all the nerfs survivor add-ons have gotten , The only people the Mori change affects are bots who tunnel off first hook and insta kill a survivor and try to act like they're a god at the game , I'm glad it got changed so now those people get ######### all over I have zero respect for any killer that tunnels and immediately Moris and tries to act like they're good at the game with trash talk in the end game

Power struggle, flip flop, tenacity, and either unbreakable or breakout as the last perk, unbreakable if you have a flashlight and a Sabo box if you have breakout and it's a pretty strong combo especially if one person has a flashlight in the match or is just near you when you go down in general

Initially the devs weren't going to add relationships at all, but then they forgot about that and added the Nurse (and more - all heterosexual). Now they said they weren't going to restrict themselves by only adding heterosexual characters. Nobody forced their hand, there was no "outrage" about anything. The devs decided to do it because they realized they were unwittingly excluding LGBT characters. That's all.

I am not saying that makes you a bad person. I am saying you should examine your own thought process and self reflect. You should definitely read the characters' lore if you're going to comment on it.
No, the Legion does not have DID. The Legion is literally four separate people, two of whom are in a romantic relationship that was the main focus for their Tome.
Well that's news to me , I honestly don't care either way just like if they added the LGBT I wouldnt care and would play the character, but why add a straight or LGBT relationship to the game at all was my point? I guess it's too late because the devs already added those so I can see why some people would want it added now

How are they "obviously LGBT"? Please, do tell. Is it because Nea is ugly and the Legion are four people?
Nea maybe a speculation on my part, and I thought legion was one person who had different personalities and one of those is a female but the guy is a male? That's what I always took from it , like I said I don't read into the lore very much so I couldn't tell you the whole backstory of any of these people who aren't iconic

Your imagining being LGBTQ+ as purely a sexual experience. Like mentioning someone is LGBTQ+ is bringing their sex life into the game.
So do you think its dumb that BHVR brought the sexual relationship of Sally Smithson into the game? Do you think that its silly that people think its cool that we have a story behind the character that is relatable and creates a sort of 'reality' to their choice to kill people?
LGBTQ+ aren't inherently more sexualized than straight people. Its just that straight people don't get that they talk about their sex life ALL THE TIME and don't even realize it because its superliminal. It is actually just as weird once you start thinking about how often people very openly declare that something is occurring that proves they had sex with someone of the opposite gender, for example. No one thinks that shouldn't be done, but the second someone says 'I have a boyfriend' people instantly get really invasive about their sex life because they see being gay as purely a sex thing. Like its a kink, rather than, you know, love.
If no? Then you have a double standard here: It is only weird to want more reality in the case of that reality reflecting the existence of LGBTQ+ people.
If yes? Congrats, your... kinda weird... I don't think DBD would be as successful a game if it used an abstract art style, had no lore, iconic characters, story bits, ect.
Hell, the the narrative of the game actually even has in game effects, you ever notice pig mains are weird and often invent little games to play with survivors when they are winning? That is an example of elements that aren't strictly mechanical gameplay elements elevating the game. Those moments are fantastic.
You don't get to decide what I think and that's where you're wrong, you sit here and act like I'm discriminating and that's not the case at all, also what about legion and nea? They're obviously LGBT but just because it's not in the lore people complain and as a nurse main I couldn't care at all what sally's relationship was, for the last time: Im not against it they could add it now and I'd probably play whoever it was , yes I like the ICONIC back stories but I don't even care about the originals and I dont understand why the heck anyone would want a backstory that talks about the relationships these people were in before the game because it doesn't help me when I'm playing and straight or gay I simply just don't care do what you please or what makes you happy, I just don't see how a relationship of any kind really plays into the game no matter what they are

Ok, so try to exercise some empathy. Imagine what its like to be the kind of person who is often demonized or villified, who has to make all sorts of choices about their own safety and relationships with other people every time they meet someone new about if they should share something about themselves. Imagine your someone who knows that people like you sometimes become homeless because their family members don't accept them. And imagine that society is so obsessed with a specific variation on relationships that entire genres are built on it, and its used as incidental or core aspects of character dynamics, but that relationships that are relevant to you are rarely if ever seen and when they are generally don't involve any main characters.
I fully believe you wouldn't care if a LGBTQ+ character was added today, because you don't have to think about the experience of being LGBTQ+, but at least try, for a moment, to imagine how hostile the world can feel, in part because the stories we constantly tell rarely include anyone like you being an important character, a good character, or a character you might like.
This is the concept of privilege. Reactionaries have twisted that word to make it into something people joke about, 'check your privilege.' Like its total nonsense: you don't get a cookie and a pat on the ass for being straight! But actually, in social sciences, privilege is a super real thing, as real to our discipline as say... gravity is to physics, and its an intersection of sociology and psychology. It doesn't mean you have any formal benefits or institutionalized, universal advantage. What it means is you don't have to interact with an aspect of reality someone else does at ALL. It can be invisible to you. Which is part of why it was easy to twist into something silly: the word is literally defining something that the dominant cultural group of a society doesn't ever have to think about and might never notice, so pretending its some delusional screeching is easy, when in reality its... quite obvious that straight people have certain privileges society grants them that they wouldn't even notice?
Like have you ever had to decide if it was safe to come out as straight to someone? If admitting to someone you were straight may cost you a job, or a vital bit of your support structure? No? Obviously not, the idea of having to do that is absurd, but the endless process of coming out (because it doesn't happen just once, its a very long term thing and kinda never ends because you need to decide if your going to be out in ANY social interaction where your relationship status or preferred type of partner may come up, which is a shocking amount) both has a mental cost, as well as social and material ones.
Likewise there are actually measurable mental health impacts of representation. Like a measurable reduction in suicide rates, and that, again, seems absurd to someone who has never had to think about this, but its... again... really obvious the current media landscape is super hostile towards lots of different types of people in a way that resembles constant low level abuse. For example, ignoring the very obvious instances of actively negative representation where queer people are actively to be reviled or hated, queer characters are far more likely to experience violence in media than straight cis characters, which kinda matters a lot, because a huge point of mass media is to create and normalize culture. Like you can actually track rates of things like bullying and harassment in schools going down with queer characters in popular children's cartoons and videogames among given age groups.
Which is why people are willing to get loud about positive representation when it seems silly to you: because to those people it actually means quite a lot of very real things besides just "I want it."
And also, you know, it doesn't really cost you anything for people to get this W. So you tossing yourself into this conversation implying its dumb to even care also is... part of the problem, even if you weren't trying to be. It implies that it is silly to want to be treated differently than you are currently being treated, when I think any reasonable person would agree LGBTQ+ have every reason to demand to be treated differently than they currently are.
I understand what you're saying and like I've already said I'm not opposed, I just think it's dumb to add anything straight or LGBT in a horror game that literally has nothing to do with any sort of sexual relationship straight or not , I don't understand why people feel the need to sexualize a video game and try to make it like real life

The thing is i don't care about LGBT being added into the game. Wether it's added or not doesn't matter to me.
But by definition by not caring it means that i wouldn't be opposed to it and if it makes some people happy, more power to them.
I just don't understand how you can be opposed to something you don't care about.
I'm not opposed I just simply don't understand why it matters I guess? If they added it tomorrow I wouldn't care lol
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Why not?
If it makes people connect more to a character then why be opposed to that?
I'm not opposed to it at all and I don't think the OP is either, but nea and legion are already LGBT in my eyes and I feel like people don't even want it for the game itself but just so they can feel better about the lore speaking of it but I just don't see why it should just like why should they have anything that mentions being straight in the lore? I've read most of the lore but I'm not so into it that I would go buy a book on this ######### that's for sure lol and I think that's where this is coming from is people like me who don't care either way but don't understand why it's brought up like a real life issue in a video game, that's the best way I know to put it
-
@Awakey said:
Why?
Let me preface by saying I'm not LGBT-phobic or spreading hate speech or anything, I'm just stating my opinion.
If a character is made ONLY to be LGBT and that's their WHOLE personality, then it wouldn't be a good addition, neither would cheesily integrating it into a character's current lore.
WHY does it matter if there's an LGBT character? Why do we need one? What's the point? "oH hEY gUys, wE aDdeD An LGBT cHaRIcTer." I don't care whether my character is a regular ass person or a goddamn gay tomato, I just want the gameplay to be good.
There just isn't a reason.
Thank you for coming to my very short TED talk.
It's because people are way too PC these days and self absorbed to the point that they find ridiculous things to get offended over , they probably only want it so samination can give it a voice and a parody more than they actually want it in the game , watch and see when they implement it people will cry it's not a good representation or they don't like how they look

I could say the same for Killers. They shouldn't be punished for merely existing, but they are. Slugging is a way for the Killer to regain control of the match.
FYI, I pretty much only play Survivor.
Exactly this right here, I don't see how more people aren't understanding this concept , if the survivors split up and focus on gens at the start and don't totem or chest hunt there should be three gens pop in the first chase

I think this might be you problem. They might get one gen early, but pressure them off them and pick the right perks.
When 1 gen goes? it should be 3 if the survivors are good, ive got 9500 hours in this game and 5000 at least in killer alone I know my #########, it isn't about what perks you pick I can take a perkless nurse and 4k at rank 1 but that doesn't matter when other killers lack the gen pressure to physically stop it from happening and they start slugging to end the game faster , that's what I was referring to are the ones on the roster who have this problem and they're the ones people complain about staying on the ground forever because they can't even slug fast enough but they get genrushed by good survivors if they play normal
-
@HeckaYeah said:
Ok, Devs, it's time to do something about slugging. Why do you let killers down ALL of the survivors, and then LET the last one get lost?! Seriously! It happens every time! You could stay in the EXACT same spot and the killer A) either ignores you in lue of closing the hatch or B) forgets when they downed you and can't find you! It's time for a failsafe so you're not stuck in a game for two minutes where all you can do is crawl around or get slammed with a dc penalty because you've lost anyways. Maybe give the last survivor an aura ( if they're not within x amount of meters away from the hatch) or put some sort of environmental aid in to help ( maybe the campfires or already completed gens?). I'm looking to make it reasonable for both sides and I know this will get back lash, but game after game of this happening is right annoying.
NVM lol I read the rest you had me there with that title

Not true, you can use family sharing (I think that’s what it’s called) to share a game with another Steam account. The base game and all DLCs purchased through Steam will be unlocked.
Well I wasn't aware of that because I don't have a smurf account or even another user on my pc just solely mine lol
-
It's not bannable in fact it's more common on console because only one user on the system has to buy the game and you can create as many users as you want, as long as the name that bought the game is the primary account on the Xbox or PS then anyone can use it , steam users would have to rebuy the game for every name they make
-
One guy was running unbreakable and soul guard, I wouldn't feel bad at all he legit brought a counter to slugging and obviously used it at the wrong time or just didn't help anyone after using it, this is why survivors don't need to stick together at the beginning it's their own fault. As for the hate I guess I've just gotten so used to it I don't even pay attention anymore , alot of the times I'll just be a smartass to piss them off more and sit there and laugh at what they come up with.
-
Honestly from a killer standpoint if any gen is gonna go first on those maps I want it to be that main gen , your best bet is to pressure survivors on other gens and leave the main alone for the exact reason you said , it takes too much time to make your way to the gen to kick and start a chase, once that gen is gone the others are easier to protect, just like on hawkins map good survivors will save the upstairs gen till the end so there's a long way to travel and a 3 gen is impossible

Umm maybe if there are perks available to counter it you could actually run the counter and save everyone instead of playing worm simulator crying on the forums? Slugging is part of the game and it's not even hard to counter anymore with perks like unbreakable, soul guard, we're gonna live forever, desperate measures, for the people ,flip flop, power struggle etc... I miss the old events :( they used to be so exciting to log in and see, I feel like the map reworkings have stolen alot of the devs time this year and before someone says "it's just graphics" there are alot of mechanics like breakable walls and collisions with objects that have to be tweaked when you add entirely different elements in the map , also the rng of how things spawn have to be adjusted and tests to make sure the map itself isn't glitching or causing major issues when in gameplay, sure the devs have dropped the ball alot this year but I've been here long enough that I can let it go and give them a clean slate for next year
