  • I'll say just because people seem like a swf doesn't mean they are I feel like that's the scapegoat for alot of killers these days, Tru3 is really bad about automatically assuming swf when he has no way of knowing that, they could just be four skilled randoms that know when to take pressure off of their teammates and do gens efficiently

If you play both sides at a good level (don't say pro, just globally good) you can already see what will happen with the current state of the game.

I like that there is a SBMM system, really and it's great for the future of the game BUT killers are just too weak to compete at high level without using cheap mechanics.

I'm not a camper or tunneler as a killer but now, IF i play fair i have no chance to get 2K, no ######### chances. So if i want to win, i have to play badly, and it's clearly not fun for the survivors. I have to proxy camp, tunnel etc... gens go way too fast.

I think there should be a corrupt intervention that manage the free gens from the start to the end of the trial. You still need to do 5 gens but :

    • only 4 gens are unlocked for the first 3 gens, not too far from each others
    • when 2 gens are left, only 3 gens are unlocked

Or maybe, another idea, when 2 gens are left to be done, half the map is closed and not accessible anymore.

That's the only way to balance it without giving boring gen simulator situations.

I also main as nurse I should've mentioned that been here since day 1 I understand how gens are broken with certain killers but I haven't noticed a difference in my gameplay I think I was already playing the top tier with the occasional mix of bad survivors, it's truly no big deal from what I'm seeing I think it's an overreaction

  • I haven't had any issues so far I think it's a overreaction from the community and it's too hard to tell this early on

  • I honestly don't think it's that bad I still get the same survivors I got before when playing killer but I stay at rank 1 on killer also so I was used to strong survivors , my solo survivor experience has improved because my teammates are more competent and actually do gens now, I don't feel the need to swf as much I can have fun playing by myself because most of the time my team hasn't been throwing and they're playing smart , but it's too early to make a decision yet although it has been better for me so far

I hope it's not due to memery of the "I CAME!" line.

The line from the first Hellraiser movie was "The box, you opened it, we came!" so it's not like it was extreme creative liberties taken with the line.

I'll guarantee that's why it's gone , I get it was funny but it was also really immature for people to immediately bandwagon it and flood every social media account with memes , if I'm the rights owner and I see it being sexually inappropriate and made into a laughing stock I'd make it get taken out also I don't blame them even though I would've liked it to stay in game .

  • Stretched res is cheating and the vpn he's advertising should be viewed the same way going into servers you don't belong in

    I've seen the videos.

    "Mindgame them."

    LMAO

    No, LT's are insanely overpowered.

Just because you get 4k's against newbies doesn't take away from this. Everyone always thinks they're good when they win. Nobody stops and says, "Well, I only won because they kept throwing themselves at me."

Get a 4k in a game where a Survivor literally never ran towards you, and let me know.

They aren't overpowered you're just bad

  • I've suggested this very thing several times, I'm starting to believe they're scared of que times going through the roof, that's the only logical reason I can think of on why they wouldn't do it , when we see this feature come to the game you know it's about to be done with content and they'll leave the servers on for online and integrate bots like mobile into this game when someone DCs or if they can't fill a lobby fast enough

  • They just need to remove the DC penalty and add the bots that replace people in game, the bots play better than half the teammates I get on solo anyway, they get to leave the game like they want and you get a teammate that actually will do something it's a win for both sides , I haven't been playing the game as much because of this kind of thing it seems like more and more people are just giving up in game making it a 3v1, people want to complain about SWF but this is the exact reason that some people would rather play in a SWF than deal with brainless randoms who either die immediately and give up or they hide the whole match and don't do anything at all

  • Lol you mean you didn't already know? if you spawn into the map you're toxic these days

  • I wish they would release create a character using what's already in the game and you could pick 3 generic perks as their perks , you could charge the same amount as a new character and everyone could personalize it in their own way, we have so many characters now that there's all sorts of options you could choose from while making a character, hell you could even let someone pick their p3 blood pattern from all the options we have.

Ah, the ol' "You're a sweatlord for using optimal perks" comment.

Lol I know right imagine getting flamed for trying to win in a video game

  • Sorry I'm a little frustrated today at work didn't mean to come off like an ass

  • Oh well I don't care what anyone says about my opinion half of these people act like you dishonored their family for playing the game, or they think they're the perk police and have to ######### talk or try to put down whatever you did in game to make themselves sound better than you, I'm just tired of people's ego over a damn game.

  • Because they're all a bunch of cry babies, like adult children that feel entitled, run whatever you want its just a game as long as you have fun it doesn't matter what you do , this community is filled with some of the biggest whiniest people I've ever seen it's gotten to the point where I make them mad on purpose hoping they'll realize what a little ######### they sound like

  • The only time haddonfield is broken is when the side window spawns at Myers house, the downstairs back right window of the light blue house and the window that spawns to the right of the top of the stairs in yellow house if they all spawn in together and people are running balanced landing or lithe. It's rare to have the game spawn all those tiles that way but it does happen sometimes and when it does there's nothing a killer can do because you can just keep making distance to another house loop, but other than that scenario most of the time it's not all that bad and it's rare to see 4 balanced landings.

  • Honestly I wouldn't mind if they brought something similar to legacy out but I think it should stay the way it is, it's a trademark to players like myself who were here from the very beginning and stuck through the rough times as the game was growing

  • There are certain pallets you want to pre drop and certain ones you want to leave alone, you want to take him to a area like a jungle gym where you can get one run around it and then throw the pallet earlier than normal, he can't throw over the high loops and he has to get rid of the pallet to make a play giving you the opportunity to make distance, you want to ignore unsafe pallets or short loops that he doesn't have to respect the pallet on because he will 9/10 times just gas you with the bottle while you're in the pallet throw animation and just go right around it for the hit, hes a killer you want to make alot of distance on and continually breaking line of sight.

  • @loopsahoy said:

Blood favour is a perk that turns the tables by either making pallet saves impossible when you down a survivor or making a survivor think quickly and be subject to a more difficult way of looping . It barely helps however, as it's long cooldown and unessacary hex conditions make it worse. Why wasn't it buffed ?

My opinion on this is the perk itself is already not so hot and good survivors don't even need to find the totem they will just ignore it and make distance after a hit, adding the hex to it though offers a slow down because you would be surprised how many people that are really bad at this game and can barely loop or anything and theyre somehow in high ranks, those players that already have a ton of trouble surviving will more than likely take the time to find that totem so they feel at ease when in reality the best play is to make as much distance as possible to the next loop. I feel this is more of a beginner perk for killers that teaches survivors the importance of making distance

  • @miketheratguy said:

I faced a Billy today. A BILLY! I was excited until I noticed something: After I'd been killed and was spectating, I noticed that he had no perks at all. No addons either. Not even an offering. Just a blank bar in the scoreboard. The survivors all had stuff but Billy was totally empty.

It was strange then when he somehow managed to activate corrupt intervention.

Then, after the match, I looked again and now his bar suddenly showed several perks. Even so, none of them were corrupt intervention.

    Am I missing something here?

You can't see the killers perks until the game is finished and also he could've been running thrilling tremors or Deadmans switch which have a similar effect to corrupt

How many upvotes does this post need to get to convince you all to change Trickster's menu theme back to his PTB menu theme from back in his old days?

The old version was more thrilling and less horrifying, but it wasn't dull, and many people actually like it over the current one we have. Some content creators still use his PTB theme since it's so much better than his current one.

    So I'm asking again.

How many upvotes? Your call, and I can ensure that I get as much if not more than enough.

I personally think we should be able to pick a background for the main menu from any of the previous chapters so people can kind of have what type of background and music they want as the home screen, slightly off topic and I do agree with you on his music but it made me think of that

  • @SweetTerror said:

This was confusing for me as well. Simply picking up the box deactivates the chain hunt for all survivors, not solving it which doesn't make any sense. And one of pinheads iridescent add-ons reduces the aura of the box to 16m for survivors, but honestly I think that should be base kit. Being able to see the box from clear across the map is a tad much.

The chain hunt is still on for the person holding the box though, and you pretty much can't do anything while you have it so sure he can't teleport to you if you don't open it but what good is it to do nothing the whole match and risk giving pinhead the box if you're caught?

That's why I stated he needs to be able to teleport to someone holding the box, say if they hold it for more than 3 seconds he can immediately teleport to it if he chooses , that gives him more map pressure and makes you have to choose when the right time to go for the box is instead of like now where the survivors just spam the button a few times to get you to pause to teleport losing pressure and being unable to teleport then continually do it every so many seconds, basically pinhead shouldn't be able to get trolled by his own ability and should be able to do something when the box is in their possession for more than a few seconds.

  • The chain hunt starts for the person holding the box while the other survivors don't have to worry about it , I think in order to prevent this the only real change he needs is to be allowed to teleport to anyone holding the box because right now you can mess with him and spam the open box button and force him into abandoning a chase and trying to teleport but being unable to do it because someone is trolling

  • Just run thanatophobia on her and put the survivors in a situation where they want to cleanse to be able to get out faster, where plague starts with one corrupted fountain at the beginning now you can get them all sick and use that fountain to force some cleanses and get a snowball

  • Oh lol well I'm old I didn't know that

I hope they rework window vaults next so it isn’t killer sided anymore. Getting hit 1 sec after fast vaulting a window because the killers lags is bs.

They definitely need to look at window hits, just last night I vaulted shack window and was mid room of the shack and nemesis got the window hit with a m1 punch... I went down basically in front of the locker by the door and it was so bad the killer looked at me and then back at the window a few times and shook their head before picking me up, even the killer didn't think he got me and that's just ridiculous

  • This is actually an excellent idea the devs should be listening to

they had to know something, they just cuildnt and still cant tell us why it happend

I think they could tell us why it happened but they don't want to make themselves look bad, but I mean it could've been the duffer bros or Netflix decision to not allow it, maybe something is going to happen in season 4 that makes the demo ( he's a good boy after all!!!) not a bad character in the storyline so it doesn't make sense to allow a license that would still perceive him in that way, it's a long stretch but not impossible...then again BVHR could've just decided he wasn't worth the price tag and figured they would make what they can before it goes.

This is the beginning of the end of Dead by Daylight.

I'm honestly starting to believe this with McLean also leaving I'm wondering if our days are numbered on this game and if in the next two years it will still be here, they might stop releasing content soon and leave the servers on

  • It's hard to say what his power could be because pinhead can literally do just about anything, I would think he would have a teleport ability, a small chain weapon as a m1, and some sort of trap he can throw that shoots multiple hook chains out and holds you in place for like 2 seconds

  • @TerrorUnleashed said:

The title is a joke, in case you're wondering. The 'concept' in question is just something garbage I threw together sometime last year. However, given the extensive debate surrounding Hellraiser leaks and whatnot, I must ask (and due to lack of other threads asking explicitly; some I found touch on the matter but don't address it), what do you want the potential Pinhead to be like? I'm talking power, attack animations, perks, the lot.

Leave your ideas down below. I'm eager to see them.

I think he will be a mixture between Freddy, nurse, and deathslinger. Pinhead can literally do anything so it's hard to pin point exactly what he will be able to do but I know from the movies he can teleport, alter reality or shift into things, and he has the hook chains as well

  • If they miss out on the labyrinth as a map that would be pretty sad but I can honestly say that's probably how it will go down is just pinhead with no survivor or map

  • Have you eaten paint chips? They even spelled out hellraiser in separate letter clues which is like solving the puzzle to summon him and now with this last teaser there's no way it's FNAF I don't even get how in your mind you still think there's a chance for FNAF , someone que the Lloyd from dumb and dumber meme 🤣

  • I really hope it's pinhead I've always wanted him in the game , but if not him it should definitely be Candyman

This would be rly problematic, Otz has shown before why it’s not a good idea by putting someone on a hill and having 6 traps on it.

Yea but how likely is that to happen? Most killers would immediately start using traps and setting the zone up so if what you're saying was the case then the survivors are really bad for dying to powerless trapper that's refusing to use his power until someone is hooked and if they wanted to play that way they're gonna camp anyway

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2418607#Comment_2418607

It is an infinite. You cant bloodlust even if you break the other walls. You shouldnt have to say no to gen right away to a certain area

You don't have to say no to that gen but the way the map itself is laid out with gens that's the play you would want to do , if a survivor is injured and you're on their top and they're heading towards the saloon of course get the down by all means I'm speaking of when you see a survivor already on the upstairs porch it's dumb to try and commit to the chase when you're a whole building story away in distance, it's no different from any other map with a big main building like one you don't hear alot about is father Campbell's chapel , theres literally a infinite that spawns the two windows at main at the stairs and to the right from there at the wall, the difference here is the chapel is a bigger map with good gameplay options for both sides so survivors don't feel the need to run that infinite but dead dawg is so small that it's easy to want to path that in because you'll eventually end up there if you're having a good run and to me THAT is the bad design part where you feel like you're always getting funneled to that area because it's all that's there for you and if you make enough distance it's small enough to end up there anyway even if you don't want to

  • It's not even survivor sided because the rest of that map is junk besides like one or two other places, it's just a strategy to not commit on a survivor that has that much distance on you at a building like that, it's stupid on the killers part and people need this sort of thing to remind them to gen patrol instead of committing to a chase that started out bad for the killer example: you see a survivor t bagging you on top the saloon not doing gens , absolutely do not go chase that survivor that's already a whole building story ahead of you in terms of distance you absolutely deserve to get looped for committing to that sort of situation, the smart play would be to let the survivor be dead weight for staying there and patrol gens to over pressure the other survivors into a situation where they feel like someone is always having to go for the unhook because you're keeping enough pressure that someone away from the hook is going down by the time the guy on hook gets unhooked

  • If trapper just started with all his traps at the beginning and had to place them all before needing to fetch them it would solve most of his problem, his weakness is the early game and setup time, when the counter to a killer is to go right at him at the beginning to force him to have no time for his power you've got a big problem

  • @Carth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2418607#Comment_2418607

That's exactly my point. There shouldn't be a tile that is "too good" or too much of a time waster. All it does is mean killers who are new get crushed into the ground if they go into it and survivors get it for free against good killers, so what is the point of it? Might as well just spawn the gen count at 4 and delete the gens at these pseudo infinites. It doesn't matter if it's an infinite or not if a chase against a good survivor here takes 40+ seconds then it's in essence a game throwing idea to go into it. On the inverse side there should be enough good/decent pallets though on the map that survivors have options to do things.

Thing is that's like every main building ever created by BHVR, it's not just the saloon and we can't go deleting the main building of 80 percent of maps it would be boring at that point

  • @Carth said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2418261#Comment_2418261

There should not be any gens in the game that you have to throw away instantly before a single key is pressed. Why even take out infinites if we keep this train of logic? It's part of why I hate RPD, if you don't cut a line in half at the lobby and throw away half of the gens on one side of the map you basically doom yourself late game. This shouldn't be a thing.

It's not even the infinite my dude it's the fact you have to take time to travel all the way up there it's literally not worth the time you will lose if you protect that gen

  • Any killer that would stay at that main building even before this change deserves to get looped it's just not a smart play, if anything I'll let survivor do that gen there because then it's easier to force a three gen and most of the other tiles suck in that map it's a ez win if you just ignore that building

too many people? you mean the two people that made youtube vids about it? and going in a dead room with an afk killer is very smart :)

I'm not saying I would do it lol but killers tried to imitate it after those videos and Ive seen a few survivors fall for it, I just leave when I see that lol

  • @hiken said:

very interesting. i guess i can understand why but is unnecesary, everybody knows that room is dead. literally , and there is 0 reason to go in there, because actually not even totems spown in there, usually they do in the room aside.

One time I saw a devour hope in that room and two survivors for some reason went in there together for it and they cleansed it in the killers face so he just afk at the window and we had to leave them in there and escape, they died to the collapse and 2 gens were still up when the shenanigans all started he literally wouldn't leave the window and the survivors proceeded to flame this person and argue with him in chat for a good 4-5 minutes afterwards as bad as the gameplay was the chat was entertaining at least

  • Too many people found a way to take advantage of it like killers holding it hostage, or pretending to afk in there from the beginning with bamboozle to lure survivors in, or a survivor mid chase hopping the window and immediately into the locker with head on basically forcing the killer to vault the window eat the stun or break the wall and eat a stun, it's just a bad spot that offered no real gameplay anyway other than to do one of the things I mentioned above

  • The trees would be his downfall...lol

  • To be brutally honest about it I really could care less how they play or I play , it's whatever seems fun at the moment and that's how it should be , this whole caring about the other side is hogwash I play both sides evenly and if I'm not having some laughs here and there I'm not having fun, I laugh when killers try to BM and when survivors do the same I see the humor in all of it which is something that is really missing in this game, you could be the biggest ######### in the world in the game and be a nice person in reality, but the real question I would ask anyone in this debate is: was whatever you did fun? If yes , Then who cares how they feel they didn't buy your game. I've BM a killer so much before that we started memeing and at the end he quit memeing had Noed and Bloodwarden and it was the funniest ######### ever , we've been friends ever since BTW lol

  • @WexlerWendigo said:

It literally makes zero sense, it would be such an easy way to improve him, and it’s been suggested for years at this point.

Meanwhile, killers such as Plague had a simple change (one corrupt fountain every match) that made them much better to play, but nothing for the face of the game. I think most of us would rather have changes to a killer who came out in 2016, than trickster who is going to fade into nothing like the twins did.

I'd rather them just start trapper with all his traps and after he runs out THEN make it to where he has to fetch the trap and put it somewhere else , he's already a weak killer with zero map pressure and the early game is where he struggles even that small little change would make him more viable than he is now
