So what this is proven is that:
- If survivors complain enough they can get anything nerfed (already proven like 73 times already)
- That balance devs make changes at the right times, however said changes are bad/refuse to acknowledge issues.
Instead of letting trickster get to live they caved in with the survivor "unCoUntErAbLe" complaints even though the 10 second decay time actually gave him counterplay.
Despite having counterplay on ptb, some people still found him unfun, which is ok. They tried to make him more fun to verse for everyone by doing absolutely nothing to his 1v1 on ptb and making his 1v4 even weaker by nerfing total blade count, making him reload more often.
This change did absolutely nothing to make him more fun to verse, this only making him weaker and less fun to play which is a horrible change.
Both sides have lost. He is "boring" to verse and now he's even less fun to play due to having to reload after each chase. And he's weaker. And his added blade add ons do nothing now.
I am just confused by the thinking that comes with some of these changes.
To be fair his power is a complete ######### show and needs reworked from the ground up they should've never released the trickster he needed more time to be developed

Then uninstall if it's Springtrap. I don't know FNaF, I don't mind. All I hope for is a fun Killer to play as and against.
That's where I'm at with it I really don't care anymore what they add I mean look at Trickster, who in the ######### thought that was a good idea? No offense to anyone who likes him but to me that's way out of place in this game but it is what it is , unless I get a degree in game development what right do I really have to criticize or talk #########?
-
Why uninstall? Just bully the 12 year olds till they throw a tantrum and get dbd taken away by their parents for the original FNAF, that's an EZ W
-
His power would be to point out all the bad forum posts about himself to the kids who like FNAF and have them spam you with insults while you're trying to survive
-
If it's not Candyman the devs get a F for missing the opportunity with the new movie coming out and Tony Todd seemingly wanting this to happen, the only way I wouldn't give them a F is if it were pinhead instead because that's one killer I've always wanted to make this game , I wouldn't care how ######### he was I would main him if he came to the game

But there was an update which meant using that dropped my frames to like 5 fps :(

I guess it comes down to personal preference but looking behind you in cahse requires the same kind of camerawork you still have to hold the stick in the opposite direction as the camera. Plus there's speed management like to pull off a juke on console with 100% sensitivity you need to have good control over your camera or you'll move too fast and run into the killer.
Yea but that's all easy on controller , on pc you have to hit more buttons, you can't just spin your mouse and 360 like you can with a joystick you have to hit four-five different buttons while not over doing your mouse because the sensitivity is higher , but hey we can agree to disagree thats all just from my experiences everyone is different and you might think it's easier to use a kb & m but my next question would be have you ever played this game on pc?

This myth needs to die. The F13 devs were already looking to wind down production and move on to newer projects, and were praying for a reason to drop the game by the time the lawsuit happened. They did not have that much more in store for the game by the time they got their excuse to call it quits.
Well I wasnt aware of that but I do know the lawsuit prevented anymore development of the game, so we never really will know what was planned

The only game that competed with dbd was Friday the 13th the game but sadly the lawsuit killed that game I guarantee if there was no lawsuit F13 would have been better. I know the stats show the numbers were low and dbd had more players but F13 had a better gameplay that kind of improved on DBDs formula
I can agree with that, I wish the lawsuit would end not only so Jason can be in DBD but so they can finish what they started with F13, that game had so much potential only to be throttled right in the middle of it going big

Only thing I have to correct you on here is survivor camera usage, you can be good at chases on console eventually but learning chase camera control on sticks is 100x harder than mouse, much like hatchets/nurse etc, all doable and you can get very good but it's like an extra few hundred hours of practice over mouse using players.
I guess everyone is different, I play on PC and PS4 with over 10,000 hours in the game is where my opinion was formed but not everyone is the same just because something feels easy to me or you doesn't mean it is for everyone else

I agree on the frames but I think controller takes more overall skill to use then K&m, an controller gives you movement options that aren't even possible to do with pc so idk i think the best setup would be a controller on a pc.
It doesn't and I'll explain why, with a controller you can easily look behind you while getting chased , on PC you have to switch from w to a or d then to s and move your mouse accordingly depending on which way you're heading, on controller the only thing you can do that pc can't is jog in place , PC has more control over the characters when you master it which is why you see pc player moonwalking the map length and console players struggling to do anywhere near as much distance and almost shaking like a seizure when they try, 360s are smoother on PC and more controlled, the sensitivity is double what a console, and playing killer on kb and mouse is more precise in my opinion

GTA works properly? After all the hacking, people getting banned for what hackers did to them, stupidly long loading times, bugs, and more?
It's still a better ran game than this one, at least rockstar does something about the hackers , on here you can Livestream yourself hacking and not get banned
-
The advantage they have is ease of use, it's easier to play survivor/killer on controller but once you master the kb& mouse the advantage goes to the PC player because they have more control over the character, better sensitivity and better frames

But the same applies to gta online and red dead online both of them milk the ######### out of there online and they weren’t known for being about online there more storytelling people. It’s not fair to say BHVR milks dbd when Rockstar has been milking gta 5 for 9 years and we haven’t gotten a new gta game
But the difference is that GTA actually works properly and they come out with other games that do well along side it , this is BHVR's main project and what I mean by milking is an opinion I have that they could've already fixed the real problems in the game but why should they? Name another game like dbd that's even close to competing? It's a no brainer to drag it out fixing issues because they've got everyone wrapped around their thumb , they won't seriously begin to rush on anything until some other game comes out to compete

Um Activision Blizzard?!?!?! EA! Take two! Rockstar?!
Rockstar definitely doesn't belong in this category the online modes in all their games run really smooth and they have like 100x more going on at once within each lobby than this game, I'm not saying BHVR is bad or anything I'm just saying Rockstar probably isn't the best comparison because they literally blow BHVR out of the water when it comes to online games and how well they run, truth is BHVR is milking this cow as long as they can until a real threat arrives to compete , I personally feel like they could've fixed the game by now but why rush to finish a game you can drag out for years longer than you expected it to survive in the first place?

I don't think you quite realize how far you can get away from the Killer after you take a hit. Like you can legitimately go across half of most maps between the speed boost, the killer's weapon wipe animation, and the Killer only being 0.6m/s faster than you. There are some Killers where that doesn't work, but against a lot of them it does. The only way you aren't getting to something is if almost the entire map is dead and you got like... zero windows. If you're on a Gen in a dead zone, being healthy is way better because then you aren't feeding the Killer free hook states.
"you are considering everything as a solo player". Really? Am I now? hmmm. Funny. You don't seem to have realized the one reason a Killer main would play a decent amount of Survivor. Playing Survivor with friends. You can't really play Killer with friends. If I'm playing DbD, I'm either Killer or SWF. I don't solo Survivor.
Also, you do know that not healing and trying to just rush Gens is a decent way of handing the Killer a snowball right? I can't tell you how many games I've had that has looked like it was going to end badly, but then I managed to run through and slug all of them because nobody healed ever? I mean I probably get that more than most because I main Legion, but still.
Yea if you're bad at survivor you worry about staying healthy all the time, there's a time and place for everything and in the right type of build self care can be good but on its own you're trading pallets for health states, someone is carrying you by keeping the killer busy and if you have even just 2 self care users and the killer has sloppy butcher that's a minute for you to heal and if you each heal twice that's a solid four minutes of your team carrying you while you're doing nothing, I literally could get all the gens done in that four minutes if everyone not being chased is actually trying to actively do them and that's why you hear the big streamers complain about gen times and not about self-care if anything as a killer I welcome the self-care users because I know I'm walking away with a W in that match with all that wasted time.
-
@Sherry said:
I bring self-care, because some survivors refuse to heal you. If they want to heal me, great! If not, then I've got my self-care.
Well if you've got teammates actually doing gens then most of the time they'll heal you after you pop a gen with them, not telling you how to play at all but just offering the advice that just running resilience and adrenaline and sticking to gens will help you survive way better than self-care ever could
-
@TacitusKilgore said:
I feel like its a bit on BHVR for the way they advertise the perk. Newer survivors see it and get starry eyed thinking "No way!!! I can infinitely heal myself! Thats must be so good!" without realizing the THIRTY FULL SECONDS they spend holding m1 could've been spent contributing to an objective.
Not only that but if there's sloppy butcher it takes a minute to self-care and if everyone in the lobby is running self-care and heals twice that's eight whole minutes of not doing ######### , it's a joke to see people defend the perk on here
-
@GeneralV said:
I use Self-Care simply because I am old fashioned. In my book, this perk is still in the meta.
Is this your name in the game? Just wondering so I know to dodge you if you're a random in my lobby
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
Self care is one of the perks lotsa people 'use wrong' in lack of a better phrase.
Commonly people will run away without the killer on their heels and heal up in some corner while their teammates are hooked and/or in a chase.
The better option is to use SC when the killer is e.g. camping so your teammates can concentrate on a rescue attempt and you can run in and help if one of them gets hit to cover the unhooked survivor alongside the second person. SC (like medkits, or further Sabotage etc) work very well to take a load off your teammates' shoulders if used well.
But if you sit there self-caring with an uninjured teammate having come after you to heal you, you're just wasting both your time.
Even in that situation you described it would be better to get healed by the team and then go for the save together so someone can take a hit while a healthy survivor (preferably with BT) gets the save, self care is only good when you make your entire build around it like with botany, desperate measure and resurgence all together so you heal extremely fast
-
I mean why shouldn't survivors have safety? The window hits are incredibly killer sided and pallets are the only real defense a survivor has , I've seen survivors drop pallets and still go down since this patch came out so it's not broken I think that they just put their input before yours but its almost impossible to have everything perfectly in sync for both sides in a game like this , so sometimes it appears that you got robbed whether your survivor or killer in certain situations just depending on how well the server is performing and accurately it's keeping track of where you're at
-
I play on PC and PS4, they move the same overall but for some reason even if you use the same controller it has a way higher sensitivity for PC, basically it's the sensitivity and frames that separate PC from console and everything else is the same from my experiences
-
Honestly the way matchmaking is it really doesn't matter you could be a rank 20 killer and get all red ranks , I faced a rank 20 with a whole squad of red ranks while I was playing solo just 2 days ago , I felt awful and offered some advice but it just goes to show that sometimes the game just throws anyone they can in the lobby , I'm wondering if after so long it just randomly picks a killer in que if there's no match already
-
And , The Bot Of The Year Award goes to....
-
The only thing I want is a trap limit within so many meters of the hook and the inability to use scroll wheel as your teleport prompt because people just cheese that damn scroll wheel the whole time while running around for an instant teleport and it should be more of something you push AFTER getting notified of the trap instead of just cheesing it the whole game for insta teleports

Once again, people ruining modding for others, shame.
Ill be honest I've got way to many hours invested to risk losing it all but the perk icons being modded should already be an option in the HUD to change the way it looks or make them unlockable for x amount of shards, but as for the skins being modded I don't think that should be allowed even if you're the only one seeing it

So, would it be bannable for someone to use a VPN? Anyone else has experience with this?
It should be bannable because you're lying to the dbd server making it believe you're in a different country but unfortunately it's not
-
I feel like stake out by itself is better than fast track, you don't have to have your whole team on death hook to make use of it and you get great skill checks mostly the whole match if you use it right, fast track can be helpful against a good killer who has pressure but let's say you do get use out of fast track , even in that scenario if the killer has pop and kicks the gen you used all your tokens on how much did it really help? Your down a slot now until people are dying

Do you not know how killer feels when survivor act like #########....don't justify survivor behavior when they act like this.
You need some tougher skin it's a just a video game and people like to get laughs that's literally all it is and yet some people take everything so personally in this game like their pride is on the line or their personal character is under attack it's absolutely ridiculous and the people on both sides making these threads need to grow the ######### up and enjoy the game we have while it's still here , "ohhh boy I guess since survivors made a thread I have to stand up for all the killers and make one back" SMFH how petty and childish can this community get?
-
No way balanced landing is OP on that map, there are so many loops where you can force the killer to break walls or just leave you all together because the gens are gonna pop if they stay committed, also there's one wall that will cost you the whole game if you break it , the only gripe survivor wise I have about that map is the dead zone on the side of gallows that always is there.
-
Yea from all the way in 2017 when exhaustion recovered by running and there were infinites, in all reality back then the escape rate was probably around 70 percent and has been dropping over the years with nerfs to survivors and map changes
-
Self care used to be great before they nerfed it and it shows when they take stats all the way from 2017 to now and it's still in the top even though it's not used very much at all anymore as of recently , on average probably one player per trial has it from my experiences

I haven't played Twins yet, and I have played against her only a handful of times. But the wiki clearly states.
- Recall timer: 30 seconds
- This refers to how long Victor has to be attached to a Survivor before Charlotte can recall him at will.
Charlotte can't recall Victor whenever she wants if a survivor is holding onto Victor. Only after 30 sec. she can.
Also Charlotte can't camp the hook:
- It is impossible to voluntarily switch between the Killers or for Charlotte to release Victor when either of them is standing within a specific radius of the following Props:
- within 16 metres of a Hook
AFAIK based on this thread, the only viable tactic to hold onto Victor latched onto you is when your other teammates are all injured, and gives them time to hopefully heal.
Charlotte can't release victor at the hook but she absolutely can camp the hook you're misinterpreting that and 30 seconds of doing nothing is the same as being slugged for thirty seconds my point is she can choose to make that longer easily or just call him back she solely holds the power over whether you keep him or not
- Recall timer: 30 seconds
-
@Pepsidot said:
I'm still not convinced. Admittedly I'm not a Twins main or even face her that often, but I'm going to last a lot longer against an m1 killer rather than facing Victor. The killer will suddenly find it a lot harder to snowball seeing as though getting downs are more difficult against good loopers or just from survivor holding W.
Survivors can find time to heal up before Victor procs again and/or do gens. If Charlotte chases the person with Victor, she's literally just an M1 killer. If she chases a healthy survivor, she has to get 2 M1's as an m1 killer or eventually get the 2nd hit when Victor is recalled.
So I'm not convinced. People crushing Victor instantly give the killer another hit/down for free, and quickly. People holding Victor give others a much easier time in a chase and for the rest of the survivors, respite.
But the killer can literally call him back at anytime they choose , what you're saying would be effective if she couldn't call him back but she can, you might as well be slugged with victor right there doing nothing while Charlotte is killing your team , all it takes is one other survivor to go down for there to be one gen being worked on, one holding victor , one on hook and one going for the rescue along with being able to track anyone the victor kidnapper runs near I mean at least if you were slugged you could be picked up and get back to gens. In this scenario if Charlotte wanted she could camp the hook and there's no way the gens would be done with just 2 survivors trying to rush gens and you would be down a teammate with multiple gens still up, or she could just call victor back at anytime and continue to play like normal because this isn't even a counter to the twins it's solely depending on what the killer feels like doing they hold the power to leave you being afk essentially or just call him back and slug your team while you haven't been touching a gen the whole time and not even being chased for that matter how in the world could anyone think this strategy is legit?

Then she is killer without power. I'll take 100/100 times that instead of that little rascal running around a map.
Also people who does that are usually pretty good runners and it doesn't benefit killer at all when they run already repaired gens so other survivors can easily repair remaining gens.
So you would rather have one survivor essentially afk just so she doesn't have a power? That's not a very smart strategy unless she's committed to the person holding victor, she can leave him on that survivor making them useless and down another before she even calls him back and leave you with 2 survivors scrambling to save the day because some genius thinks kidnapping victor would help them get the gens done

As someone who has mained nurse for years I will honestly admit this , it does take a while to truly master it but once you do there's not a whole lot survivors can do against it other than turn it into a situation where the nurse has to guess what's happening like gaining a good amount of distance so the blinks are more drawn out but in that situation it's in the nurses best interest to switch targets or focus gens and a good nurse will always realize that and not get into a guessing game in the first place

Except when the hardware is still fully competent of running better, theoretically more intensive software then you have plenty of grounds to complain. See above for my comments on RE Village vs DBD
Its mainly the way BHVRS code doesn't seem very compatible with console , the game should run fine on console because it's not a super in depth game but for some reason its never ran smoothly

The hardware isn't out of date.
If I switch to PC, I don't want a "decent" rig that will more or less be the same experience as my current Console. I want a better experience, which can easily hike up prices into the thousands
You can literally buy one for 600 that will run better than your current console I promise you that but it's fine some people like console better than PC and I understand that , some people have been there for years and don't want to start over with every game on a new system , performance wise biting the bullet and upgrading is your best bet

Still end up costing more.
Also, I'm literally never switching to PC.
You can get a decent gaming rig for like 600 dollars that will run plenty of games , that's fine if you never want to make the switch but don't complain when your out of date hardware isn't running games properly if you decide to choose that path knowing the outcome
