Chat is the only toxic thing in this game if you can't handle what happens during the trial then don't play , we shouldn't have to make a bunch of rules to accommodate you because you can't handle a bunch of pixels humping the ground on your computer screen

At least a pair of swf in almost every game IMO. Thats not so much of a problem its the 3 and 4 if they are good and come with a plan.
I'd still say that's wrong, maybe half of the games have at least a duo in them but there are plenty of times where I'm solo and in the endgame chat the other survivors are as well I've linked up with plenty of people after a good match.

High mmr is a ######### ton of swf...
MMR is all fake idk why people keep acting like it's a real thing whenever numerous streamers have proved it to not be real and BHVR themselves have proven it in the dev interviews which is why all the "DBD is like Hockey" memes were made, I've played this game since release and I max both my survivor and killer grade every reset maining nurse, oni, or demo more often than not, I've literally just last week 4kd on a game where Cope was a survivor in the lobby and Cope is pretty darn good at survivor, so tell me why "MMR" decided to give me brainless buffoons the next match who died at 5 gens? Swf in duos are common but 4 man swf is not common and there's literally no way you play against that every game.
-
You're not facing only swf you're just paranoid.

Survivors are the biggest threat to other survivors.
That's why the pure kill based mmr or balancing doesn't work.
And in my opinion it's why competitive tournaments don't work, the win conditions make for boring to watch games that don't reflect normal dead by daylight gameplay for killers and survivors at that skill level, alot of people complain about balance without realizing this isn't supposed to be a super serious game it's a party game where your team has to rely on each other, you could be the best survivor in the world and still die because your team sucks.
-
@Tsulan said:
This thread is a perfect example on why people uninstall. Yikes
Tbh, if the mmr worked like it's supposed to. You know, playing the first times with a new killer gets you easier survivors...
But it doesn't. So people either have to endure a pretty long lose streak (I remember someone losing over 50 matches in a row with a new killer), or they abandon the idea of learning something new.
The OP just stated a couple of comments up that they 4k and 3k in the matches though, I think adept should be made easier but I honestly still enjoy playing killer a little more than survivor personally because If I lose it's on me as a killer but as a survivor it's frustrating when you get multiple brainless teammates who think they're a god at the game but they're in reality hot garbage, they play like fools and then turn around and flame everyone else on the team even though they're t bagging and going down in a matter of seconds
-
Smash hit, parental guidance, diversion , flashbang
Basically get your flash bang and right when you feel like the killer is about to hit you or get stunned on the next loop around a pallet you very quickly drop the flashbang in the middle of the pallet , stun them with the pallet and after you zoom away throw a rock back towards the direction you were looping and watch the killer loop themselves for like 10 seconds
-
Looks like McDonald's decided to downgrade their wifi package
-
It really depends on what killer you're using and how you play the killer, even the strongest build in the game is meaningless if you're not playing in a way to capitalize on it , care to share 4 killers you use more often than others?
-
You might as well grief if you're going to get cursed out and accused of it just for spawning into the same realm as them
-
@Nos37 said:
If I'm going to receive a matchmaking penalty for disconnecting from the game and ruining the experience for 4 other players, they WHY is the killer not also penalized for camping and tunneling at 4 or 5 gens??
Because why would you punish them for doing their job? They found a weak link and decided to remove them or they caught a good survivor in a bad place and want to remove the early because they know it's gonna be a problem if they dont
-
I never use DS but I'll admit that I keep BT in almost all my builds, they just need to make borrowed time a built in mechanic and change the actual perk to give the unhooker the effect as well so we essentially get the old borrowed time back except whoever is unhooked always has an endurance hit and the perk would deactivate on first time use so you could only get borrowed for yourself one time, if BHVR did that it would help change the meta big time because not everyone runs DS and that slot opening up changes everything in terms of what builds people would run when they don't feel like they have to have borrowed time to be a good teammate, and before someone brings up that it's the unhookers fault for not unhooking safely I'll go ahead and bring up that you cannot communicate in solo and you can't control your team or if you get paired with people throwing or that are just plain bad and by allowing this buff to borrowed would only help the health of the game for both sides in the long run because they wouldn't run into the same perks over and over especially with dead hard getting a complete rework soon
-
Sadly this game isn't coded well enough for that and it would have a massive stroke if you were allowed to do that, heck even intended changes bug the game out.
-
They already added like 3 hooks in the library how are you still not making it to a hook is the real question? There's a hook that spawns up top and one right below it and then one right outside the door where the locker row is
-
Gens are the thing that's broken in this game not survivors, I've been saying it for years , if BHVR keeps going the way they are with the killer meta being focused on gen regression survivors are gonna finally figure it out that rushing gens guarantees them at least a 3 man out against any low to mid tier killer and you're gonna start to see genrush builds every game and less focus on boons and other totems, it's gonna turn extremely boring because they nerf everything into the ground as soon as either side gets something valuable
-
Well I have fun playing killer so I don't think I can relate there, In fact I got my killer to rank 1 before I really even got into the survivor side for the month and now they're both rank one and I switch between them, maybe you're just burnt out of playing the same killers? Or you might just need a week or so off from the game to really want to play it, I've noticed for alot of my friends this game is a habit for them and they play even when they don't really feel like it, taking that break will make you alot less frustrated when you do have bad games
-
To be 100 percent honest, I could see Noed every game and it not bother me it's not a strong perk, most complaining about Noed is from someone who got camped in the endgame while their team either just leaves them or doesn't go for the totem to even try
-
Lol I was jk, there's a conspiracy theory about shape shifting reptilians it's basically the equivalent of saying you were abducted because this was a out of left field and unexpected from you but yet I do agree you're not wrong.
-
Welp looks like the shape shifting reptilians finally got him lol jk, but I can agree with this.

Well you'll notice I said changed or reworked, not nerfed. It would also be fine if they just reverted the Stridor change as you said.
I actually completely disagree about her nerfs being overblown, she is significantly weaker. I wouldn't even call her comp viable anymore. I can literally pallet loop her now, that isn't a small nerf.
If we're being honest she never was really comp viable even in her old form I just don't think shes that much weaker than before, the only spirit players that were really hurt are the ones who stood still as counterplay at a loop, but it's fine we can agree to disagree on this one
-
Run power struggle, flip flop, unbreakable, and bond Then run in pairs of two with flashlights , make sure you always go down in the pallet bait the flashlight and leave the area , either they eat power struggle or you unbreakable up, meanwhile the other two are pounding gens out if neither are chased.
-
@Blueberry said:
I wish they'd remove that addon, takes a lot of skill away.
Iron Will is an issue that needs addressing though. Spirit got nerfed heavily enough that we don't need Iron Will where it's at. Rework or changes, something.
Iron will doesn't need nerfed it would instantly be a never picked up perk, stridor just needs to reverted to counter iron will and the problem is solved , while spirit did get nerfed it really isn't all that bad and alot of people blow it out of proportion pretending like she was totally gutted when in reality she still plays mostly the same and with that add on it's brainless to catch survivors I agree it needs removed.

Adrenaline isn't really meta. Either you die before the endgame or it's overkill.
If everyone focuses the gens you'll always have adrenaline and if you equip adrenaline you're more than likely to focus gens so you don't have a wasted slot, when multiple survivors are running that perk it can be a complete game changer in the endgame, while it's not meta at the moment, due to the killer meta switching to dead man switch and scourge and other gen affecting perks it will go back to gen rushing adrenaline builds because survivors are gonna want to finish gens before the pressure gets put on them and they have wasted progress
-
Actually I'd be willing to be that would be a good chapter

that wouldn’t be a bad idea honestly. Like demos aura reading addon as baskit would be absolutely disgusting. Problem is let’s say someone like Myers has all the stalking addons and tombstone and infinite that would be hell lmao
Lol it would suck to be the Myers when you have scratch mirror automatically cancelling over half your add-ons in that scenario, he would easily be the one who suffered the most from the change

My problem with MMR is it doesn’t really measure skill. The old system at least took into account how much playtime someone has which kind of goes hand in hand with skill and experience.
I've been saying this for a while, even the worst survivor with 6k hours in the game is gonna bully a inexperienced killer to hell and back and vice versa, there's no denying that even if it doesn't mean you're skilled having alot of hours in the game gives you enough experience to be able to outsmart someone who isn't as familiar with maps, tiles, chase knowledge like knowing what direct to run each tile so it forces the survivor to throw the pallet on a dead zone or wall side, instead of just looping with him and you being on the deadzone side breaking the pallet while the survivor runs back into the map with all the safety and the distance

There should be no addons, every item and killer power should have all addons base kit, obviously deleting the meme stuff and the ones that conflict with something else, if everyone got everything, the game would be balanced.
I've always thought the killers needed more abilities, not that the ones they have aren't strong or good but every killer should have 3 powers unique to them so that way the player doesn't feel burnt out doing the same exact power over and over again and they have different options to choose from, they don't have to be OP powers but that alone would make playing any of the killers more fun and not like a rinse and repeat power spam.
-
I occasionally play on console but I'm mostly on PC , a long time ago I had a TV that if it wasn't in game mode then it would have delayed reaction to skill checks, check if your TV is in game mode would be the first place I would try

Just because old dbd was worse doesn’t mean current dbd is perfect. There’s still many issues players want addressed hence the complaining
This is true but I could nerf all the perks being complained on and there would still be a million cry threads about some perk being op or about how they're quitting the game as if any of us should care they're leaving anyway, it's never going to stop Im inclined to agree with @Tr1nity that it's more constant bitching than it is valid complaints
-
It's because you have people reporting people for stupid things like tbagging and looping or camping and tunneling, it takes longer to get to the real issues because some people will report others just because they lost

Not only that but the creator is in some type of hot water right now I'm not sure for what because I haven't really looked into it but I saw someone with a YouTube video just a few minutes ago while scrolling saying that some guy Scott cawthorns controversy is preventing BHVR from associating with the brand I'm gonna go back and see if I can link the video

At the start it was real. I spent 2 weeks just losing every game. I refused to kill anyone and just slugged them and let them leave. The games got so easy that it wasn't funny.
It could be the smaller playerbase here, but i do get confirmed swf most of the time.
I don't think it ever was, at the start of it all it took a couple weeks of MMR being on for it to start working properly according to BHVR themselves so chances are it was the old matchmaking which even though it took a little longer it was a more balanced match and after "MMR" started working properly a few weeks into it , it's just been a throw em anywhere type system with rank or hours meaning nothing, you could be a brand new player getting a 6k hour opponent
-
I think he's about moderate at this point now but I've played him since he came out here and there, I wish they would take the overheat away I'm still salty about Billy being nerfed when the only thing he needed was insta saw reworked, he was a killer I used to play often and now I just have very little desire to play Billy at all even though he's not really bad , I feel like anyone who played Billy back then will agree he's not really weak but the changes they made, made it annoying to play him when you were used to the way it was , I'm sure a new person could pick Billy up and easily like him as a killer but for anyone here before it's like the things that changed were almost made to annoy the person playing it, felt like they wanted you to not use him

Coh being complained about is valid as it Kneecapped the hit and run playstyle
You can still hit and run I use that strategy quite often even still, I have an unpopular opinion that circle of healing is for bots who are too afraid to play injured so they stall the game by resetting every time they get hit and meanwhile every time you do that resources are being used by your team , a 5 minute game turns into a 10 or 15 minute game while sure you can take pressure away but you're essentially just ignoring the downsides like the longer that match is in play the more of a chance someone will die in the trial, you guys want circle of healing nerfed and I want it Killswitched and completely redone because it promotes bad gameplay by 75% of the people who use it, I can honestly say the only time I've seen circle of healing used in a good way was in a swf I was in and we did all but one gen and used circle of healing to quick reset and pop the last gen while someone was being camped but other than it being a need to quick reset it's a total waste of time and adrenaline and genrushing will always be better than COH, my theory is once COH is nerfed the gen rushing adrenaline meta will make a comeback.

They are going to get weaker as the game progresses, as you kill someone, it's going to get harder to chain 5 hits because of fewer survivors.
Not really though because it gives the ability to get that first survivor out faster and once its a 3v1 it shouldn't be difficult to end a game, it's just about getting to the 3v1 in the first place to gain the pressure

If Sprint Burst was actually as good in practice as Dead Hard is then 3/4 survivors would be using Sprint Burst in my games and not the other way around.
Sprint burst is better than dead hard in my opinion, I personally wish they would Killswitch DH and COH just so I could prove a point that even if they took the two most complained about things away people would still find a reason to cry because most of these people are cry babies who aren't good at the game and they're gonna make excuses for losing
-

Also, there's a social aspect to survivor that you don't get with killer. A lot of us just want to chill and game with friends in the evening, especially on the weekend. Can't do that on killer. That's not necessarily an indictment of the killer role, just more of a fun factor on survivor. I'm much more likely to play killer when none of my friends are online.
Couldn't agree more that's pretty much how I am, if nobody is on I'm playing killer all night but if I get at least two more friends to run with I switch to survivor
-
More like nerf all these and watch people find new perks to cry about , it doesn't matter what you do I could have zero perks and I'll still click my flashlight and not give a ######### about it, maybe one day people will learn to accept when they made mistakes when they lose a match, I could sit down and nerf every perk killers complain about and next week there's gonna be a new list of perks that come up as problematic, it's more like "I can't be at fault for ever losing, nothing I do is wrong and I should be able to kill the survivors without using my brain because Its not fair that once I ready up as a killer I'm not automatically awarded free kills without trying"
-
MMR is, was and always will be fake , their just throwing you with the fastest match possible. This stuff happens in pubs as well where a whole squad of rank ones get someone who just started the game and have no idea how to play, it's honestly laughable when these streamers put "Top MMR survivors vs me" in their videos, it shows me they're just baiting views and honestly don't have a clue about matchmaking, they put that in the title and then some survivor throws down shack pallet without looping it and still somehow goes down in ten seconds lmao yea top MMR alright.
-
I got accused of cheating a couple of years ago when you would sometimes get the infinite sprint burst bug after taking a hit you wouldn't lose the speed boost from being hit until you went to complete an action or let go of sprint, so I took a hit and zoomed all the way across the map and the killer DC and reported me but I mean it's not my fault BHVR broke the game is really all I could say back.

If he's telling the truth, his cousin had an epileptic seizure, which could very well have put his cousin in serious risk of dying and must have been a traumatic experience for them both. Why is the common decency to show sympathy for what he and his cousin must have experienced completely lost on you?
Because people are blaming flashlights when this whole game is a epileptic seizure waiting to happen everywhere else , I don't feel bad at all because it's like watching someone hooked up to oxygen smoking a cigarette they're doing it to themselves, people are just wanting flashlights nerfed like someone saying your flashlight should break when you click it etc.. all of it is horseshit

Unless that person confirmed they were lying then calling them a troll is pretty un-cool.
Who cares? His cousin shouldn't be playing this game if he's prone to seizures there are plenty of things that can trigger them in this game aside from flashlights , why should I feel bad because someone is irresponsible for a condition they have? If I have sugar diabetes I'm not gonna eat alot of chocolate, if I have blood pressure problems I'm not gonna eat salty foods and if I've got lung cancer I probably shouldn't smoke, this is no different I personally think they're full of it and are just trying to get flashlights nerfed because they got bullied and this community is full of a bunch of babies with sopping wet diapers,

Never feel bad for anything you do in the match , you're enjoying yourself and they can DC if they don't like it , people get all up in their feelings for next to nothing these days

Some people acting like we have to have manners and sympathy towards the other side in a slasher game where they're trying to kill you , yea get a ######### grip Im not gonna insult anyone in the game chat or threaten anyone because that's uncalled for but anything in the match is fair game and I could care less how it makes someone feel because they shouldn't be playing if they're too soft to handle a bunch of pixels humping the ground and pointing at them, and I'm especially not gonna feel a damn bit bad when they have the opportunity to BM me back if I'm caught.

Oh I get what you mean. I don't have motion sickness but I guess her weapon taking up half the screen and the constant shaking your camera to puke on survivors can be a bit woozy. I don't get woozy shaking my camera personally but I understand for those who do have motion sickness. That's why I never play Plague without shadowborn, it's kinda needed on her if you have that problem and it just gives a quality of life. Have you tried playing Plague with shadowborn?
No I haven't put that on her and tried it yet I may do that I've always wanted to test some builds on her I have her maxed out, thanks for the input hopefully it helps.
