Eh it helps but DS is still annoying as hell. Plus this only works on the obsession, not the 3 secret DS users you aren't prepared for (because everyone has it).
Guess it's better than nothing though. -
Rank 15 survivors aren't that hard. Unless it's those who are only rank 15 because they DC so they can bully low level killers.
Either way consider it throwing yourself in at the deep end. You'll learn her faster against people who can dodge rather than trying to hit statues. -
The pallet vacuum on the killers needs fixing.
Pick up a body within 20 meters of a pallet, somehow when its dropped it hits you even though you were nowhere near it. -
I actually find him the most fun. He is really weak but at the same time he has some great strengths. He's the easiest to 4k with because you can slug one and still be able to see them from the other side of the map, and the other will struggle to hide from you because they can't tell exactly where Freddy is as they can only hear a non-directional terror radius. Normally I can't be bothered going for a 4k but it's easy with Freddy if you make it that far.
He feels so broken. It's funny watching survivors try to stealth from him but not realizing where he is. This is also what makes him to horrible to play against.
-
From my experience it always seems to be the Claudettes who do that too.SoylentPixie said:I'e suggested this before a few weeks back, pretty much the same thing. Give hooked survivors the option to face kick if their being unhooked inside the killers radius. I'e had too many games where it isn't just farming me for points, pursued survivors will run to the hook and unhook a player (I've seen this from both killer and survivor perspective) as a distraction, and again I don't blame a killer if he goes for the easy kill, though i have been noticing more and more killers punishing these farmers lately.

Just had a game now. Ebony mori.
Mori first guy.
Knock second one down after getting much teabagging - Disconnect
Knock third down - disconnect
Find last one - teabagging all the way, gets knocked down, disconnect.
Great game we have. It's ok though because if I come across multiple insta heal med kits in a game or d-strikes I'll be sure to hard disconnect so they don't get any points. -
Literally just had this convo with a survivor now. He asked why I camped. Acting like he wants a fair, sporting game. Their team had 3 decisive strikes. He didn't see the problem.
Decisive is broken as hell and everyone knows it, but ok its part of the game. Well so is camping, they even make it easier with Insidious.
-
That's survivors in a nutshell. Bring 2 d-strikes, then cry and pretend they wanted a fair game.
I love camping and tunneling them then watching them cry. If you wanted a proper game you wouldn't bring that broken crap. -
I don't blame you. Survivors always DC if you get them down in the first 30 seconds. They don't think it's fair. Yet somehow it's fair for them to spawn on your totems and have it gone in 30 seconds? It's ok for them to re-roll the dice and find a better game but not you?Ysoria said:As a killer, I personnally DC if the survivors find ruin to early (it happens so many time that they find ruin before I do, this is ridiculous...).
As survivor, I never DC
If my totem is gone and I take a d-strike in the first minute then I'm sure as hell quitting too. -
I know right? They always pretend they punish teabaggers or farmers, yet NEVER have I seen this in game. They always take whatever easy kills they can get.Tsulan said:I love how the general consensus is that every killer condemns sandbagging. -
The key deserves a spot too. Instant win button mid game.Wolf74 said:@The_Crusader said:

I know its beating a dead horse but decisive strike really is the most broken thing in any game ever.
It's not even the obsession you have to worry about. Its the unknown d-strikes. If you down the wrong person and the hook isn't close it can really rob you of early game momentum. I always seem to get them down near the basement too and then get robbed of a basement hook by a sneaky d strike.
When it comes to the obsession you can eirher slug them like truetalent does which normally means they live. Eat the strike early and waste precious time as they rush gens, or leave it till tale game and watch them crawl towards the hatch/exit knowing that theres nothing you can do because if you pick them up they'll strike out.
It's absolutely shocking that a mechanic so broken has stayed in the game for 2 years.
Of all the broken, unbalanced crap in the game this is the worst. If they just took this one thing out it would be so much better. -
This is why I've started DC'ing as a killer now.Wolf74 said:At the moment I do not bring anything into a match, no items, no offerings, because basically 2/3 matches the first survivor found or downed insta DC. Sometimes another one DC also and I am left with 2 people and 5 gens.
So I don't bother bring anything atm, so I can't lose anything.
When you're losing you'll have all 4 survivors at the exit gates teabagging you and staying post game to tell you to "#########".
How many times do you actually get 4 kills? Maybe 50% of the time? Because the other 50% they'll either DC as they go down the first time, DC before the third hook robbing you of points, or my favourite DC'ing because their friend found the hatch.
So take this match I just had for example. Survivor spawns on my totem. It's gone in 30 seconds. Chase them and down them near the basement. Start carrying them down, they hit their 35% which is ridiculously easy and D-Strike out. I figure if survivors can quit when it doesn't go their way, I can quit too when I get shafted by poor game design.
People can say it's dirty but screw it, if survivors can do it so can I. Don't even care if I get banned at this point because the game is beyond broken until D-strike is gone. -
Heh I was joking, but I'd really like to see a killer who has some way of influencing the generators in some way.TheLegendDyl4n1 said:@The_Crusader said:

Window of oppurtunity is a newbie perk. It's like unrelenting. It's just training wheels.
:P
Also I don't use it because I use more better perks but it is prety good for highlighting windows/pallets/vaults that you might not see due to an obstruction/distance/fog.
If I had it unlocked I'd like to take it now and then for those times when you just can't find anything. -

i would get rid of the timer completley since the new buff to alert is so OP that i will be running it they got rid of the range and timer so now whenever the killer breaks something anywhere you see thier aura for however long it is and there is no limit to how many times this can happen in a short period of time like...... ######### (survivor main)
Problem is SWF is already tougher and they aren't buffing killers to counter it.
Not surprised one bit though. Seems obvious which side is making them the most money. -

So whenever she isnt in a chase she gets to slow gen progression.
-
Every other killer is weak to gen rush though.
Ruin is pointless because survivors spawn on it. Seriously, not exagerrating - every game I used it this week they either spawned on it, or close enough that they were working on a gen right next to it. Its just out in the open hidden by nothing.
Again the developers couldn't care less. They just want survivors to find it and have a good time.
I get the game is far harder for new survivors and they need it easier because killers tend to over power them, but in high ranks it all changes. Once survivors know how to rush gens and get all the second chance perks the power role changes.
Edit: Just had a game. Figured I'd give Hex Ruin another try. Once again gone in the first 30 seconds because they spawned on it. Absolute ######### joke. There's literally no point to totems in this game. -
The problem is all the broken add ons and perks.
The toolboxes are OP as hell. This 80 seconds per gen is BS at high rank when they bring in good toolboxes and hit great skill checks. I went past a gen it wasnt even started, chased someone downthere like 30 seconds later and it was 80-90% done. How the hell do you compete with that?
Or I just had a game where I was chasing a Laurie. She was pretty good, hard to catch. Caught her eventually - d-strike. Oh great, now I have to catch her again. *Last gen pops* oh wow, Adrenaline, so now shes back to full health.
The developers either don't play killer or don't care. This game is stupid sometimes, absolutely stupid. These are meta perks too so multiply that across 4 survivors and I question why I even bother playing the game sometimes.
What solution do they come up with? Add 4 seconds to healing. Oh wow 4 seconds. At the same time they move hooks further apart which now means all of the time can hit the 35% required for D-strike. They think we're fools. -
Spirit is really underrated. If you see what the best players can do with her it's insane. It's just that she has a high learning curve. You need to be able to predict and read the survivors really well to get the most out of her and that only comes with some serious hours in the game.

There is no face camping anymore. It simply doesn't exist. Also, did it ever occur to people, that the killer camps, because he's losing the game? Because 3 gens got completed by the time he got his first hook? That he's playing defensively, because another chase like the last one will result in 4 escapes?
Nahh, people escape with 11k bloodpoints and still think it was a good game.
There is plenty of people, and these people facecamp even when no gens are done.
But....its been a good night tonight. Strangely. Shame that these good nights seem so few. No real campers and only 2 games with a rage quit or someone who didn't load in.
Edit: Ok no sooner than I had typed that I got a game where Huntress caught Quentin like 40 seconds into the game and just stood there staring at him so he eventually just killed himself on the hook. Great game truly.

I don't see the point in having faster progression in the basement. I want them in the basement for as long as possible, to use as bait to draw the rest in.

Love Claudette players

Maybe it's just me but that's the one time I don't mind them camping. If the exit gates are open it makes sense that they're going to guard their hook. There's nowhere else for them to go, and they know the survivors are only still in the game because they want the rescue.MegMain98 said:I don’t like playing solo because I get stuck with 3 man SWF who either farm you or act like pricks and let you die on the hook. It’s mainly your teammates who get you killed no matter how good at surviving you may be. Most of the time I’ll only get camped if the killer doesn’t have a kill yet and the exit gates are powered, but a lot of survivors run Borrowed Time and bodyblock as the killer is chasing you to the exit gates so that’s not a very big deal.
I kind if understand basement camps too. It's too powerful for the killer to let go. Also they're rare which helps, just the odd game here and there.
Its the standard hook facecamp right off the bat which drives me insane. There's no need for it. -

That's if your team makes it that far. Normally someone disconnects right at the start so it's basically a 3 vs 1 game.
I am never "facecamped" because I dont play like a toxic shithead

i mean, he is just watching the guy bleed out, but why is he crawling to you? thats the question.
But again the killer is right behind him the whole time. So you aren't gonna get him up. You'll take a hit before you get to him, maybe heal him IF he's at 85%, take a second hit and go down then he'll turn around and KO the other guy.
Basically you're giving the killer a free 4k.
I don't know why some survivors get salty over it. I can't work miracles. Like I said if someones been a good teammate and the killer tries doing that with me I crawl away from the survivor. I'd feel better for our team getting a 3k+hatch than having a 4k.
It's some straight up BS. There's nothing the survivor can do except wait an eternity to bleed out. There's nothing the other survivor can do except stick his head out and give the killer a 4k. It just seems really toxic to me having the killer find you because another survivor led him to you.
That's why the whole endgame needs to change. -

Enter new lobby, Hag on Groaning Storehouse...

Without a doubt if someone teabags after every pallet they deserve to be facecamped.
Just like facecampers deserve to be teabagged at the hatch/exit gates. -
How much further do they mean though?
1700's?
A medival knight?
I'd guess a Samurai but I doubt it after the Spirit.
A caveman killer? -
This is the issue.Mediva said:For me, its not just the disconnecting and the camping that is real. I played the game for 3 hours yesterday and all I had was facecamping, 3team SWF or a lot of disconnects.
It was really depressing to me to the point that i was literally ready to never play it again.
Today i played some more and thank god there were also some matches that where actually not 1 of those and i had fun even. But most matches go now in a not so fun way for me that i even wonder if its worth my time anymore to play and just move on.
If the facecamps or 3 vs 1 were the odd game here and there I could put up with it but some nights its pretty much every single game. -
The Clown. Got fed up of getting looped, didn't want to put in the effort to learn The Nurse at the same time I was only just learning the game.
I've become better at the game overrall. I can see where I was going wrong when I play survivor and end up looping killers.
Still love the Afterpiece tonic though. It causes some players to act in really bizarre ways and to make stupid moves just to avoid the gas cloud which makes them easy prey. The 1500+ hours kind of loopers can still be bugggers but I find that putting pressure on them with the Tonic does help to make them make some bad plays then you get a hit in. Plus most of his add-ons are great.
Hope to learn the Nurse one day now that I'm becoming famililar with how the game works in general. Also maybe Huntress. -
That also is a problem. On some nights - no exagerration - 3vs 1 makes up the majority of my games. Sometimes it loads that way but thr majority of the time its someone disconnecting in the first minute.jmaximo93 said:I have been having a terrible time with solo survivor, but not because of face camping (completely). Like you said, there are so many disconnects lately. I don't know if this is a bug or if people are trying to depip but I played about 20 matches today and out of those almost half had dcs. This has been so freaking frustrating. There are some killers that let the remaining 3 at least pip but many don't (and shouldn't have to, it's not their fault). On top of that, the survivors I do play with are so desperate to do gens after the dc that many times they completely stop looking out for the killer. You add to that the survivors that let themselves die after they see the dc and you really have a recipe for a ######### day...
Another thing is that, all of a sudden, I've been having survivors sending me hate mail. One guy called me a scrub and a ######### player because he couldn't get into the hatch in time because I was still hooked. This guy was also the one that refused to heal any of the teammates and led the killer to us every time he was getting chased... So yes, I purposely stayed in struggle instead of giving him a chance, I want those points. I've been playing like I normally do, so why have I been getting so much hate mail lately (I've been consistently rank 1 or 2 for the last week so it's not because I'm in a higher ranking now)?
Another thing I've noticed is in the games with 4 players, killers have now decided to face camp the first survivor they hook then play normally after that. I don't mind that as much because I do gens but it's getting old. Good strategy though.
Yeah the killer plays normally after the first person has gone because its much easier that way. They don't need to camp anymore. It absolutely sucks for whoever is on the hook first though - and then this perpertuates the disconnect cycle as people dont see the point in staying in the game if they're not going to get a chance to get off the hook. -
If survivors rush the hook or run around the hooked person then yes it's their own fault.Attackfrog said:
If survivors let me camp all game, never successfully bait me off the hook, keep rushing the hook before I get 10 feet or fail to distract me long enough to free the hook or pop gens/chests while I am standing around the hook then they are bad at the game and deserve the loss.The_Crusader said:The problem with camping is it totally sucks the fun out of the game for the person who had the misfortune of being hooked first. They don't have a chance to earny any points either. So some disconect or suicide on the hook, which means the killer just camps the next guy.
Camping all game is awful and unfair. Unless the person is incredibly toxic, i.e. teabagging after every pallet drop in which case they deserve to be camped.
If I camp all game and the survivors rush the hook or pop the gens, bait me into chases and still escape, I deserve the loss and a lousy 1k with very few blood points because I camped for 1 sac and the survivors had free reign.
However is a killer starts the facecamp for no reason its just toxic play. It sucks for the person on the hook. You can leave them a little while but after that people want them to enjoy the game and try to help.
Every game I've had tonight bar 2 has had hard facecamping. It's worse than ever. It's more toxic than anything the survivors do. Killers are just too lazy and inadequate to play any other way. So they camp and slap on NOED.

Healing is countered by tunneling and camping, which just about every single killer at high ranks do. If i were to recorded every game I play at rank 1 survivor, every single game has either tunneling, camping, or slugging before one gen is even done.
Pharmacy isn't disgusting. Unless you're running AITH and luck out with needles, you won't get this from Pharmacy. Nice try though at calling this perk OP. lmao
Then you play survivor, get a killer who facecamps and tunnels and you see why these perks were added to the game in the first place.
Like I said the other day NOED is OP, but when a full team has adrenaline you see why it's in the game.
Its easy to see why certain perks and features are in the game but it can be frustrating for those of us who try to play with good sportsmanship. -

To stop camping they need to emphasize that more hooks >>> end game kills.
You already get more points for 8 hooks and 0 kills than 2 hooks and 2 kills.
Everyone still focuses on that end game score though. They need to display a hook count at the end, and perhaps give the killer a rating like A/B/C/D etc. Obviously 4 kills would net you an A even if it was 4 hooks, but they need to try and get people to go for hooks over kills. I think a lot of newer players dont see it this way because it's all about "dat 4k!!!"
Also daily rituals don't help. Sometimes people use a killer they don't like just for their daily ritual and they can't be bothered putting effort in with a killer they don't like or have no perks for or experience with so they get lazy and camp. -
I go far away from the survivor, to buy me time but it can be awkward to avoid them as they close in if their isn't much cover around. It's even harder when it's Wraith too as he's the one who normally does this because you can't tell which way he's looking.TheLegendDyl4n1 said:@The_Crusader said:
So near the end of the game there's two people left. The killer slugs one and goes looking for the other. That's fine, I have no problem with that. However recently I've noticed a trend where the killer gets the survivor to work for them. So the killer slugs a survivor....then just stands behind them. You can't go in for the heal because you know it's a trap and the killer will down you before you could possibly heal this survivor up. So the survivor having nothing to do crawls towards you ratting out your location. The killer KNOWS this will happen and it's becoming quite common.
If you ask me this should count as "working with the killer". I mean I get it the downed survivor can't do anything else - and that seems to be the problem. It's just that there's something really dirty about a fellow survivor giving away your location. If a killer tries doing that with me I tend to lead them in the opposite direction just because I'd rather someone get hatch than have a total 4k wipeout.
Is this reportable? or is this part of the game?
a solution would be to go around the map find the hatch and then dont stay there. go back when you know its safe just keep moving around the map
So killers seem to think it's fair. What do survivors think? I just feel there's something incredibly toxic about a survivor working with the killer to get a kill. You're supposed to be a team. It's just one more reason to push people to play SWF, at least they help each other out....one normally disconnects so the other can get the hatch. Which is broken in a completely different way.

If you're talking about Ochido, he was banned for:
- exploit (several times) and showing how to use these exploits,
- griefing (sandbag on purpose other survivors, ruining their game experience by coop with the killer),
- witch hunting (asking his community to mass-report a killer he played against),
- trying to avoid ban with several accounts,
- hacking his progress (as an example, he had a P3-50 Clown at rank 1 the day after the release of Clown, which was rank reset, and with XP still at level 1... literally impossible without hack).
I don't get why so many survivors worship him. I click on their profiles and see so many as part of his group. He's an ass....wow much respect!

It goes against the whole idra of the game - you down someone, you get a hook. It cheats the killer out of a hook and it gives the survivor a +1 health state for free. There's nothing the killer can do to stop it and all this based on a selection made before the match even began.grtf47 said:DS has been in the game for a long time and killers still win. Yeah most of my games now are with 3 survivors. On odd occasions the game loads in with only 3 people, but mostly someone disconnects within the first minute. Often seems to be the DS users.
I'm so bored of it. I feel I've got no choice but to DC too now. It's not fair on me to keep doing 3 vs 1 every game. I didn't buy the game for 3 vs 1. Some nights these make up the majority of my games.
They really need to knock a gen off if someone disconnects within the first minute. Or give a repair speed boost to remaining survivors. Otherwise it sucks knowing with 99% certainty that it's likely going to be a hatch game and only 1 of you gets to live.
