Many people already consider her a strong killer, she doesn't need that kind of buff.
-
No to all of those except for Decisive Strike - it does shorten that stun.
It's really good combined with Spirit Fury. Even without that it's a nice perk. Helps if you don't respect pallets, and as mentioned befote it softens the blow on Decisive. -
No idea because everytime I've tried to use him its been empty lobbies

If you play her right, you can control the map with her basically. My trick is to slow the game and control it to my benefit.Congratulations, you are using the traps to buy yourself time to kill survivors with a vanilla killer that has no power. The crouch+charge is so bad it does essentially nothing unless you run addons to improve them in which case your traps become worse.
Wait...you can't down a survivor without using your power? Then you're probably bad, and you are exactly what's wrong with DbD Killers: You should not NEED a power or perks at all to 4k. The power and perks should help you, not carry you. And yes i can and have backed it up with a recorded and livestreamed series of rank 1 games as a perkless no-traps trapper getting 4k after 4k. Did it as a Tier 1 EW Michael, too.
Not saying I don't believe you, I just think it woukd be good to watch and I might learn a trick or two. Perkless, no traps trapper sounds really good. -

And obviously the problem is that with every new aura perk, Bind, kindred, alert, empathy etc a solo survivor needs to sacrifice a perk slot for it.twistedmonkey said:@powerbats said:
Well they did say they're want to buff solo q up to swf level information wise and then buff killers up to that level accordingly. They also want to hide perks until the game is over and one thing that'd be nice is spectating would be on a say 10 second time delay.
Also as I stated before there's no way this got done in 13 days to add swf it just wouldn't happen that fast because it'd had been buggy asf on launch.
To be fair they have been trying that and its not working, the gap between SWF and solo just stays intact or gets wider, each new aura or notification not only buffs solo but it gives SWF much more information to share.
I am not a fan of any of the notification given or aura perk added after BBQ, I personally think it ruins the game and is akin to leading someone by the hand to an objective making it become more and more boring, I miss the days where we had to think if we were exposed, work out if they had lullaby or ruin, actually hunt and be aware of our surroundings using our knowledge of the game, now it is best be careful he has NOED, thats the totem destroyed, there they are, yes SWF know this already but to change the game in such a way makes it a bit mundane as your not actually thinking you are being told.
I do not think any amount information they try and give can ever change how much SWF is stronger than a solo player, the devs do seem to underestimate just how much of an advantage them using comms and being able to coordinate before and during a match affects the outcome, solo players will never have the knowledge of what someone else is thinking and thats just one part of the problem.
For it to even become close a solo player would need to know what totems have been done and where they are, what pallets have been used, where each survivor is and the killer at all times, where the gens are, what ones have been done and how far along they are, this is just within the game and I am sure there is many more, this just shows how broken SWF is and how much the game would change for the worst.
Its why I think they need to look directly and SWF and nerf them, instead of them wasting time trying to fix parts of the game which arent broken, go to the source and fix what is.
Yeah I do agree they had SWF planned for a long time, the infastructure had to be in place or it would have taken a lot longer as we know how slow they were at the start.
SWF don't need any of those so they get to bring all their meta perks, Fecisive, borrowed, adrenaline, Self-care, unbreakable, sprint burst, dead hard etc
So they have the same info as solo survivors but now you've got 4 people all with extremely strong perks.
The simple solution is to lock perk slots when people queue up as SWF.
4 solo survivors = 4 perk slots each
2 man SWF = 4 perk slots (I don't think this unbalances the game too much, there's still a lack of communication)
3 man swf = 3 perk slots each
4 man swf = 2 perk slots each
Or if people think thats a bit much, just limit 4 man swf to 3 perk slots each
3 and 4 man swf is where it gets a bit much. I don't think its too much to ask them to sacrfice a perk slot or two in return for the advantages and free perks that comms gives them.
-
It depends on the killer you're using.
Top tier killers = killer favoured.
Low tier killers = Survivor favoured.
Also I find some of the maps, perks and 3-4 man swf tilts in survivor favour. Like if you get a 4 man swf on coldwind all with decisive, adrenaline, borrowed time etc
-

So there are many windows which are like, in front of a locker, in this map, it happened to me multiple times to use a window and get sucked by a locket, and ofc get grabbed by the killer since it's easy to grab ppl from pallet windows and lockers now, is there any way locker vacuum can get "fixed" as they did "fix" pallet vacuum?Just dont spam the button 5 seconds before trying to vault. That solves the problem
-
BBQ and Distressing are the usual perks people take. BBQ is good because you get bonus points and it reveals locations. Distressing gives bonus points BUT the downside is it increases your terror radius.
This is why people take Doc - because he benefits from a larger terror radius due to the madness effect.
Freddy in herr is also a decent suggestion. His terror radius isn't affected until they're in dreamworld so you can still sneak up on survivors. Once they're in the dreamworld you've got them so the larger terror radius doesn't matter.
Spirit may be ok to. A larger terror radius just gives her a larger area with no phasing sound.
All the rest suffer though as it just gives survivors a bigher warning that you're in the area. -
I would disagree.Khroalthemadbomber said:With all due respect and my humble opinion, Pig is SO much better than Wraith. Add-ons not withstanding, Pig has actual control of generators and survivors with RBT's, is not slowed to hell in a handbasket when coming out of her stealth mode in order to attack, and can actual attack from said stealth mode.
Going into add-ons, they add potential for even more control on the Pig's side over Wraith.
I'm not saying Wraith is BAD, I'm merely saying that Pig is a lot better.
Wraith's uncloaking speed boost can be good for sneaking in hits at pallets or vaults as the speed at which you charge them takes them by surprise.
Also he's very fast with a few add ons giving him more map control and letting him block pallets.
Lastly the invisibility itself is his main advantage. You can only get a feel for this ingame but you'll often find survivors running around carelessly and putting themselves in bad situations because they don't know where you are so they can't react accordingly. Time and time again its their own lack of awareness that hands you games like these. You'll find them in open areas away from pallets or catch them healing together.
-
I knew this was coming. Maybe they got 2 birds with 1 stone or maybe it was intentional but I always knew they'd sneak in a SWF dodge one day. They don't want people doing it.
I guess it's not that bad since before you could have swf somehow not all appear at once, or have randoms all appear at once so you could never be too sure but otherwise yeah there's literally no point to playing stealth killers anymore. Nothing beats using someone like pig or Myers to sneak up on someone only to have their mate on discord give them a heads up. I'd lol if the new one is stealth too. Also Bloodwarden will continue to be the most useless perk in the game until they get off their ass and hide perks until the end.
Just to let the devs know that I'll continue to disconnect if I get an SWF with object of obsession until you address that situation. -
And survivor mains feel like they shouldn't be doomed because their teammates either disconnected or played like idiots.akbays35 said:@The_Crusader said:
People really hate just letting the last guy have the hatch huh?If the killer is needing that last kill for what ever reason it seems easier to just balance with a perk than with changes to the endgame. It doesn't create a standoff, it forces the survivor to either get the last gens done, cleanse the totem, or do something else. Killer mains feel like 1 survivor shouldn't have a free escape just because his team mates died. This perk with force a conclusion one way or another since the last survivor will have massively increased gen time and cleansing time so there's incentive to do something. I might rework the idea again to give the killer temporary aura blindness just to make it more fair.
Its fine at the moment. Want the 4k? Then slug.
Dont care? Then hook and let last get hatch. -
It shouldn't be bannable.
I mean holding the game hostage is. Blocking the stairs with unhooked survivors downstairs is bannable because the survivors in the basement can't do anything other than;
1) Wait for the killer to hit them
2) Disconnect.
So yeah that's not fair. However in this case the game isn't being held hostage as...
1) The other 3 survivors are free to rush gens and leave
2) The person on the hook will be sacrificed soon anyway.
I have to admit, I've done this once or twice before but only to extremely toxic survivors.
It's no different to survviors bodyblocking the hook. Survivors can moan all they want about how its toxic and holding the game hostage, well then as killer I'm meant to hook people, them standing in the way of the hook is also holding the game hostage and toxic? Oh no thats fine apparantly. Double standards as always.
I feel like survivors brought this on themselves when bodyblocking hooks became a thing. In any other game neither would exist but with DBD the devs let almost anything become "a legit strategy". It's annoying. -
Quentin.
Which is good because the ones you do see are all DS using, disconnecting toxic little tryhards.
They tbag, go for the best loops, then rage quit when they've lost their DS. Almost every single one of them lmao. -
@Entità I agree with you about the moral stoning which takes place in the DBD community. That said, respawning pallets would break the game completely.
-
Swap spirit and hag for myers and huntress
Swap all of C and D tier -
Not bad.
I'd move huntress up 1, and move trapper and cannibal down somewhere. But yeah far better than tydetymes list lol -
People really hate just letting the last guy have the hatch huh?
-
Freddy doesn't need a buff he needs a rework.
Nobody likes fighting him because he's broken. If they fixed a few of his flaws he would automatically become ridiculously overpowered. -
The fact that a number of killers need to waste perk spots to make up for their lack of anti-loop skills is why the killer list is unbalanced.PigMainBigBrain said:@Goldengeartwo said:
Yes, even worse than Freddy. The Pig was a Killer I used the most back when I was newer to the game. Stopped using her at around Rank 7 in favour of trying out different Killers. For a long while in Rank 1, I started using Doctor, Hag, Myers, Freddy. All Killers that I enjoy, and believe all can be relatively strong. Then, after finally acquiring all the Killer perks I wanted, I decided to go back to my roots and play Pig again.
Good grief is she AWFUL.
Going back to The Pig after playing other, better Killers was hard. One half of her power is an RNG-based minor inconvenience. The other is good for nothing more than a potential grab off a gen at the start of the match where your vision is abscured and your movement is slow, zero terror radius doesn't compensate for the weak awareness and map pressure and the RBT to slow the game down depend entirely on chance (mostly with them getting taken off in 1 box). And oh boy, is that Ambush bad. 9 times out of 10 it is better to just stand up and attack...a unreliable mindgame around palettes against a weak survivor is the only use for it.
It also doesnt help that i personally find Pig boring to play. Because one half of her ability doesn't require much input on your end and the other half is so niche, you're walking around as a basic Killer with no power. This means you get looped HARD. Of course I use Enduring, Bamboozle and Spirit Fury to counteract this, but it doesn't make it any less boring and frustrating.
So yeah. My two cents on The Pig. I honestly enjoy playing Freddy more than her, and believe that he is actually better, even if not by a large margin. I'll be happy to play other, better and more fun Killers who can handle skilled SWF groups much better. Really hope there are buffs planned for her, cause if you ask me? Pig is THE WORST Killer in Dead By Daylight.
You waste 3 perk slots to make up for bad pallet looping and chasing ability instead of using those slots to slow down the game, get insta downs, cause blinds, slow gens, or even track for surprise plays. And you wonder why she feels bad.... you're playing her like the trapper, and she isn't the trapper....
-
I agree. In fact survivors should have a win button, which upon pressing immediately teleports them beyond the gate to the exit barrier.

Survivors salty because they can't loop killers for 5 gens.
Spirit fury really makes some killers bearable on poor maps against good survivors.

Howrver I'm not going to deny that the game breaks a little bit against the very best survivors. You can be hooking someone every 30 seconds or so and it still won't be enough. You need overwhelming pressure on them, like 2 hooked at once. This can be hard for most killers to do on the large maps.
They only cry because they lost to someone doing those things....
And if they lost to that kind of killer....
And that kind of killer is "bad"...
Well then that makes that particular survivor even worse than a "bad killer".
Forum logic never fails to make me lol.
The killer had the power in this game. The killer moves faster. Sure you can loop them but if theres a delay in the connection or not many pallets around it can be asy for the killer to sneak in hits.
So you're wronn but like most killers you're trying to downplay it to justify camping and tunneling. Anything to win eh? -
"Its bad enough when your teammates just hook farm you like idiots, but slugging them and then outright ignoring them to cross half the map to secure that kill is beyond a dick move. Its the kind of play that makes survivors whine and complain about how killers are op (when they're really not) and then form into SWFs (Which actually are op) just to avoid being subjected to that kind of situation."
Exactly!! This is what I've been trying to tell people!!
There's a 1 in 4 chance you're going to be hooked first. It sucks but someone has to go first. But then why should you have to suffer so bad just for that mistake? There's nothing more pathetic than killer mains trying to defend it with "just don't get caught first". That isn't always possible, and even if you don't then why should some other survivor have to suffer?
You know at that point that the rest of your game consists of being unhooked and then kmmediately being tunneled down and put on the hook again. You can't do gens, you can't get unhooks, you've got nowhere nearby to run to, you're getting no points and a depip.....it's easy to see why many just disconnect. It's easier for them to chalk it up as a loss and move o to the next game.
From what I've seen killers do ok for a few levels and then hit a plateau. They struggle a bit and then they all come away with this idea that (and you'll hear this line often) "if you don't tunnel you don't win". Which is completely false, but it does work like a charm at low ranks. However when you get to around purple ranks it stops working so well.
The low level trappers after reset ate all like this. There's nothing more boring. I know if they hook someone and I get chased I'm completely safe as they're just killing time while waiting for the unhook. You know what happens when the survivor gets unhooked? The killer breaks the chase! Exactly as I knew they would. You also know that if the killer hooks on the far sidr of the map you're completely safe because there's no way in hell they're gonna stray that far from the person they want to tunnel.
It's boring, it's predictable and it's really unfun for the survivor being tunneled. I feel like these killers that fo this rarely play survivor and don't know how it feels. -
Wraith is definitely far from second worst. His speed burst can catch survivors off guard at pallets/windows and grant you a free hit, and the fact that hes cloaked often means survivors will run out in the open without realizing he's nearby. When you play jim you realize he's instantly better than many of the M1 killers just based on how survivors put themselves in poor positions around him.
LF isn't as bad as people say. Not with charge time add ons. Sure he's a bit bland but an insta down is an insta down. Also when it comes to basement game it's GG.
Hag....yeah she's definitely an upper tier killer. The pressure she can put on survivors is so strong. You can hit one with sloppy then teleport to another mid chase to down them, leaving the first healing.
You can chase one then teleport to a hook to carch the rescuer, or you can continue the chase knowing that the rescue will be slowed down by the fact that they have to crouch walk through the area. Her basement game is also extremely strong.
And yeah Myers....eh he has his moments but I'm not convinced he's THAT good. -
To be faid, as a survivor I tbag if the killer camps.
But yeah, those that tbag after every pallet drop are such sad creatures. -
That's actually a really good idea.Zarathos said:Lock the perk while queueing up with swf. Job done perk balanced. -

I'd like it to activate outside of a chase.
I'd never do a fast vault outside of a chase anyway as the killer would get a notification. At least this way it would activate rather than how bugged it seems to be now. Seems like it never works against Myers. -

@bendermac exactly, he's really good at the game yet doesn't tunnel.....really makes you think. It's almost as if you don't need to.
@CallMeRusty420 Constantly chasing one survivor gets you no where at high ranks though. Only works at low ranks which is why green ranks are full of tunneling trappers.
You think Nurse and Billy are top tier killers because they tunnel? Or because they don't don't need to tunnel?
They fly across the map in seconds and due to instadown chainsaw/ability to teleport through walls they can end chases in seconds too. They're hooking a second survivor by the time the first survivor is only just getting unhooked. That's the kind of pressure you need to be applying to the absolute best that DBD has to offer.
Sadly not all killers are viable against the cream of the crop.
@DemonDaddy Hey man, if you're getting your ass whooped then fair enough you're gonna have to tunnel. I've seen enough pics of newish level 12 killers going against a SWF team ranging from rank 16 to 2000+ hours rank 2s. If you get dodgy games like that then nobody is going to blame you for taking out the weaker ones first.
-

It's just what weak killers use because it works at low ranks. Its also really not fun for the survivor getting tunneled. -

People may bring up a point that this will change the meta because a survivor (with my Decisive buff) can fake like they have it and not wiggle, a type of stalling for other survivors. What i say is that if they do that they risk getting taken to the basement (or closer to it an advantage hook spot etc) What do you all think, buff, nerf or is Decisive fine the way it is?i can hit every overcharge skillcheck because of how much bigger the skill check circle is (the thing the little marker spins around) and how much slower your marker is but with decisive its so fast and the circle is so much smaller i can almost never hit it on xbox.
I can do most Decisives but sometimes miss if it comes up right at the start of the skillcheck circle.

Maybe gens get done fast because the killer is too busy camping to put pressure on the survivors?
Go watch rank 1 streamers play killer. Notice how they're too busy chasing someone every second to be camping. You don't need to camp/tunnel to win games. There's a mental barrier around purple ranks that people struggle with in this mindset.
Camping is basically a killer saying "well you guys are too tough for me, I'm done, I'm just gonna get this guarenteed kill instead".
I do, happens quite regularly that at least 2 gens pop during the first chase. But yeah what an idiot baby killer without brain, why did he follow the survivor into the loops, such a camper, git gud

FYI when the guy said "tunneled" above he probs means when his teammates pull him off the hook anyway regardless of a killer in the area. No need to snap at him.
Firstly, let me just ask what killers do you use? Some will struggle, that's a sad fact about the game.
Secondly, losing 2 gens isn't the end of the game. It does seem that way and I know when I was nrw I felt the same but it's not the end. I've seen games that were in the bag get lost and games that were lost end up won. The game can change at any moment and I think that's the appeal of it.
The top tier killers can apply an immense amount of pressure. I've seen games where someone like Billy can be looped for 3 gens without a single hook, but then he finally gets 1 hook, zookes across the map, lands a quick chainsaw hit and suddenly hes got 2 people on hook, this creates a snowball effect the survivors can't recover from and gens just stop being done.
