Because when you play Legion effectively he can injure a lot of people very fast.

If he had Nurses and could see them mending every time he would be very powerful.

    Legion is not very powerful
yes he can injure people fast, but down them?
    lol!

Plenty of people are managing to do it.

  • I honestly don't believe we'll ever see it before we see Dead by Daylight 2.

There's nothing they can do. Every idea they come up with gets cancelled. This nerf idea has been going on for ages and still nothing has been done, it's a carrot on a stick.

I genuinely don't believe we'll ever get it. Not outside of a sequel anyway.
  • First point - Completely unfair if the mend bar continues to go down. The killer would only have to 1 hit the survivor then wait him out in a chase no matter how good the survivor played. Also that first hit from Legion can't be avoided. Plus if people couldn't mend before it depleted you run theisk of having a killer who's too good at slugging.

Second point - a non-existant stun would be broken.

    - Get first hit with Legion
    - survivor runs, drops pallet
    - vault over pallet, cancel frenzy, immediately M1 the survivor to down them.

Can you see now why the stun exists? It's to counter legion being able to catch up to survivors so easily.

To be fair that's the worst counter for every killer.

But at least then it's only 1 hit to KO them. Also bring thanatophobia. They either heal or they lose 15% action speed on everything.

Not healing up against freddy/wraith/myers or any ambush killer is asking for trouble so no, I can't agree on this.

Not healing up against any killer is asking for trouble.

But go watch some of truetalents recent videos. When he faces top class survivors a lot of them don't bother healing up no matter which killer he picks because they don't want to waste time healing, that's why he stopped taking sloppy butcher.

Which gets me back to the point: his power is pointless because the meta is gonna shift heavily towards not healing up against killers like him. Freddy wastes more time by putting you into dreamworld than this guy.

And the biggest difference is that these killers have 115% ms and often face the same targets that Legion faces (injured survivors) so what's the point of playing him at high ranks?

What's the point in playing half of the killers in the game at high ranks?
  • We know they aren't concerned about SWF vs solo balance.

Because SWF bring in the cash and activity. That's why they've made it so that SWF can't be lobby dodged anymore.

I've said before 4 man swf gets free perks like Kindred, bond, empathy etc perhaps not as efficient as seeing their aura but they all stack up. There's no reason why they shouldn't lose a perk slot when grouped up as a 4 man.

Solo survivors have to waste perk slots on these. 4 man swf can just bring all their meta perks instead.

All you Cry about BT... that means all of you are Campers/Tunnelers. Just Stop Camping and tunneling and BT is a wasted Perk Slot for Survivors.

Im Rank 1 Pro Killer and Rank 1 Toxic Survivor... The Killer Perks are good, might use the one with the Gen Aura (Counter against Gen Rush as EVERY of you noob Killers wish for). But the Survivor Perks are Crap. I need my WGLF, Self care, BT (Since 90% of Killers Camp) SB/Plunderer.

And here we go again… the next survivor meme that was already debunked but still lingers around.

BT is only against camper, right?

    image
(I know it is an old vid, but it is still the same point.)

Yeah its annoying because BT grants them a free unhook.

Ideally you chase someone, they realize they can't unhook, abandon that plan and move on. So the guy on the hook stays hooked which buys you more time.

With BT they can unhook freely which helps a survivor get back into the game faster.

Also as a survivor I hate it. People assume its safe to unhook you in front of the killer so you just get tunneled hard. I'd rather they waited until the killer wasn't there.
  • Sometimes survivors tbag at exit gates not to be toxic but to buy their team time. I.e. if they're at an exit gate and they know their teammates are still opening the other exit, they'll tbag to get the killer to chase them out just to buy that extra few seconds for the rest to open the door.

And some do it just to be toxic yeah.

Downing survivors that are injured with frenzy would be too much. Survivors have absolutely no defense when the legion is in frenzy mode, he is comparable to Nurse that way, only he struggles with dowing survivors. But that would make him too good. If anything, if an injured survivor gets hit by frenzy, they should immediately lose like 30% of the deep wounds meter, but not more. I agree with 1 and 3, that would be enough to make him viable honestly. Maybe increase his speed to 115%, then he would be really, really good.
There is one addon though that allows the Legion to only need three hits while in frenzy mode instead of four in order to down a survivor. If they built that add on into his base kit he would also become viable, I believe.

What I really don't like about this killer is that it almost doesn't matter at all how a survivor does during a chase against The Legion. If he's in frenzy mode, it doesn't matter what you do because he can just ignore any defense survivors have. If he's in normal mode, well than sure survivors can fight back. But since he only has 110% movements speed he is very easily loopable, so it's pretty much just wait until The Legion gets his Frenzy back and then goes for you again while in frenzy mode, and then you can't fight back as survivor anymore since he'll hit you anyways, so you might as well just run in a straight line as survivor again.
So honestly, buffing his lethality to much so he becomes a top tier killer, would probably make him the most hated killer, far more than even Doctor. Maybe I'm wrong though, but trying to survive against a killer in which the length of the chase pretty much does not depend on you as a survivor at all, but only depends on how the killer works is not very fun.

If you are injured and you're attacked by The Legion's power, you should lose the ability to mend yourself. However, other survivors can still mend you but you're too injured to do it yourself. How does that sound?

Additionally, Calm Spirit should affect the scream you yell out when the DW bar drains.
He would be OP then and everyone without Bond would be getting slugged.

People would have what, 20 seconds to find another person befofe going down? Not gonna happen on lery's, and if hes tagged 3-4 survivors and all are running around panicking it's game over.
  • Regarding Sole Survivor: I have once seen it used with Object of Obsession. The killer had no chance to get this guy for a long time and after that he camped him to death and hitted him all the time while on the hook.

    Lmfao. Well deserved too.

So the only thing you had to show for was killers with literally 5000+ hours on their hands do mediocre.

Enjoy your worse billy then, I'll keep instadowning people that are caught out with a killer that has basically omnipresence on the map unless it's the game/lery's. Heck you could pick myers, have an easier time finding ppl with monitor&abuse and the hare, vault windows fast in EW3 and you only need 2 hits or even 1 with insane snowball potential while legion will put everybody into deep wound state which will be healed in a mere 16 secs so he can put them in deep wound again, run around and not down anybody.

fun concept, for survivor players at least.

It’s pretty contradicting that you call players “mid-tier” and then they get 4K games with Legion. After they get 4K games and after calling them mid-tier at best you still call their gameplay with Legion “mediocre” just shows you’re the only mediocre player here.

lets just hand you a 4K on a platter, in fact with the next Killer we can just have you hit M1 and the survivors all die. 4K for you, EZ game EZ life ma’right?!

Getting a 4k means jackshit in a game that has no dedicated ranked mode. Heck I went mericiless with freddy before all of the survivor nerfs till rank 2 in every game without godtier perks/addons, I didn't even have ruin at that time.

I'm calling true mostly mid-tier because he's very oblivious to many mechanics but that's probably more due to him being an entertainer and paying so much attention to his twitch chat, his mindgames and nurse-plays are pretty much on point.

He's slow in figuring him out, Zubatlel on the other hand is much faster in this regard and still only put up mediocre gameplays, have you seen these guys play nurse/billy or heck even spirit? It's night and day compared to this guy.

I don't care if these people 4k on him, the difference is that they are visibly doing worse on him than let's say one of the most balanced killers in the game: Billy.

Billy one of the most balanced killers in the game....omfg

Everyone considers the Billy number 2 killer, so why even bother playing a game where you think the remaining 11/12 killers are underpowered?

Killer mains want this to be like an actual horror movie where the killer is damn near unstoppable. That doesn't translate to a fun videogame.
  • Nothing impressive from this DowseyGG guy unless you want to show me that survivors don't know how to deal with him yet by doing stupid crap like dropping pallets when he's in frenzy or trying to play immersed once their mates get the huge orange healthbar. Again yeah he can kill people woopdiedoo but I think I can speak for most killer players that we don't care if we get another wraith who can do decent but falls short over the benchmark killers.

Yeah all the streamers are struggling to find sweaty tryhard rank 1s at the moment. Once people know how to play him that will be the real test.

Yeah hes not top tier. Probably around wraith/pig. Really though looking at suggestions for his buffs I dont think killer mains have realistic expectations about a killer. People want this guy with 120% movement speed and the ability to vault pallets to be able to 2 hit down people like every other killer....LOL.

I'm not saying he's great, I'm just saying he's not as bad as he seems. He's a weird one tonplay though. For that reson I think he will remain niche.
  • That monto video is filled with situations where the killer could hit monto if he made different decisions.

Surviving against people who dont know how to play the killer doesn't make the killer bad.

    Bingo.

It seems intuitive to take a second hit on the last survivor you inflicted with deep wouns, but no you need to bodyblock and then cancel frenzy with M2.

They should have listed the killer as hard rather than intermediate because it requires quite a different way of playing the game.

It has been working for me quite well especially works well if they are hugging walls

    Yes!

Please create a tutorial video to stop people moaning 😂

Thats how you take down solo survivors.

Before that you hit, then look around to see if there are any auras nearby so you can deep wound as many people as possible.

Once you understand him he's definitely nowhere near Freddy tier just based on how much he can slow the game down.

I still think he is weak but yeah not near freddy level. I think they should reduce the stun after the second hit on a survivor afflicted with deep wounds which they are probably considering. Other than that change either make mending take longer, make it so someone else has to mend you, or make it take less hits with frenzy to down a survivor. 115% would be amazing but I don't see that coming..

The problem with making it so that someone else has to mend you is that you'd be screwed without bond. If he finds two of you together, wounds one and chases the other then you're going to go to bleed out. He'd run the risk of being anle to instaslug everyone, and this is a killer who can pull out 120% movement speed and vault pallets.

Hes a very weird killer. Hearing the developer comments in the other thread explains a lot. They had a good idea but had to make it balanced. So we end up with a very Frankensteinish idea of a killer. Definitely not intuitive.
  • @Janick

"Most of the ideas were actually how he was initially. We made him the way he is to give a chance to survivors to escape. He was simply unstoppable and not fun to play against. I will not explain all the reasoning for each point but I can guaranty that the whole design team sat down and discussed those before coming up with the current iteration. (I might explain further in a stream)"

    Wait what?

Please do explain in a stream. That sounds like you created a killer that could run fast and vault pallets and then realized he was too powerful and scaled him back.

If that was the case I'm curious how such a killer could ever make it past the idea stage. Or was it a case of make a fun power and then nerf/buff it to make it fit into the game?

I'm curious how the design process for a killer goes and how this one came about. Vaulting pallets...that was a pretty crazy idea. I always thought that would be forbiden.
  • It happens. A lot. You just wait.

  • Stopped reading at point 2. To think killers claim survivors are entitled...

Imagine that. You have an injured survivor, and you have a killer with 120% movement speed and can vault pallets and now can use that ability to down people too.

That doesn't sound overpoweted at all.

It's interesting reading these suggestions the past few days. Killer mains basically want an unstoppable monster, balance be damned. Next killer might as well just be a win button, and when you press M2 you automatically win the game. It's the only way they'll be happy.

    Killer hooks survivor

Looks around with BBQ, sees no auras

Killer: "Oh my, no auras. That must mean there's not 1, not 2, but 3 survivors nearby!!! Oh man, I'm gonna have to stay here and catch them!!"

    Camps survivor out of game

    Cue postgame salt

Like I get the idea of being able to block auras, but bbq helped the killer find his next target. It gave him a clear direction to encourage getting him away from the hook. Plus the maps are huge and survivors can be hard to find. Aura reading perks were a great way to speed up the game, especially against immersed p3 claudettes.

We can only hope that Distortion doesn't become meta. I really think it's going to get a lot of use though.

@Wolf74 I wouldn't be as fussed if they nerfed decisive but after all this time and they still haven't touched it despite everyone knowing its the most broken perk in the game.

Edit: you know I really think they're going to have to get rid of the 40m range on bbq, otherwise killers might accidentally camp due to assuming survivors were nearby.

It's called a risk. You can camp someone to death, but you take the risk of the gens being finished and everyone else leaving.

From June 14th 2016 to September 14th 2017 we played without BBQ. We didn't need free auras to find people. We still caught people when this game was completely broken for the Survivors, and they borderline couldn't be caught.

We didn't need a perk to justify leaving the hook, even when it made way more sense to camp people back then.

I didn't believe the Dev's gave a crap about stealth gameplay with all the free auras they give killers in terms of perks, abilities and add ons. This perk in itself has given me faith again.

If you play Survivor, run Distortion every single game when 2.4 drops. Trust me.

It's nice to have though. As I said it speeds up the game, especially against immersed P3 claudettes with urban evasion.

It bugs me that they'll counter something good killers have but there's STILL nothing for DS, and no enduring isn't on tbe same level. Even NOED isn't worth taking anymore as you dont know whether you're gonna be in a swf game or not, therefore might as well play it safe and not bother because if one dies he'll tell the rest. Not that it would be hard to hide perks.

So yeah....counter killer meta perks but leave the survivor meta perks untouched.

Actually no i shouldnt say "untouched" because they actually did touch one of them - borrowed time and gave it a huge buff.

DS will be reworked, soon.. Hopefully they don't answer the counter with a perk, just change it entirely. Then we won't have to hear this complaint anymore. I personally don't even care about instant DS. The 35% is the one that sucks and actually annoys me.

Yes, that one is the worst. You get completely robbed of momentum, you get robbed of basement hooks. At least with instant you can ignore it...but then a lot of times they manage to live because of it.

I honestly think removing that perk alone would do a lot to balance the game.

    Lmao. Well said.

If you manage to hit all 4 survivors then no the first one won't be healed. They can't do it that fast. Besides they have to mend....and then heal on top of that, or chose not to heal and walk around beijg 1 hit from death.

Also the hit fatigue on the last guy. You're meant to hit to apply deep wound which refills your stamina bar, then you run up next to him or ahead of him like wraith and then manually cancel your power with M2, you're NOT meant to hit a second time.

If you manually cancel you get a short stun but you'll still be very close to the survivor.

If you hit them twice to cancel fury you'll get stun + attack cooldown + they'll get a speed boost from the hit.

Go watch Dowseygg stream on twitch. He's cracked it. Will show you how he's played.

His map pressure is immense. Not the best at downing but he definitely prolongs the game.

New killer might be around mid tier.

  • People hid from BBQ anyway.

So people started taking Bitter Murmur instead.

Now if this perk becomes meta and you get 4 in a game - 3 gens will need to pop before you ever get an aura.

    Think about that.
  • The devs couldn't care less as always. Why do you think they've made SWF unavoidable now? That's the real issue.

They fix it so SWF groups don't get lobby kicked because of course swf are a priotity, but hiding perks until the game is over? Nah fam too much work.

    Bloodwarden is now worthless
    Noed is now worthless
Totems in general as completely worthless

Theres no point taking any of those because if you get lumped with a SWF unknowingly those perks are done.
  • BT isn't just about camping.

I mean it's great to prevent endgame camping, but normally you put a survivor on a hook and he hangs out for a while. Buys you maybe 30 seconds. With BT they'll unhook when you're 5 steps away because they know they can get away with it. It's a pain in the backside with SWF.
  • Monto's new video really does show how weak this new killer seems to be.

Guy didn't look like an expert. Hell nobody is as the killer only just came out. Meanwhile monto has loads of experience as survivor.

I've gone back into the game armed with new knowledge and I did great. I mean it does depend on luck of having survivors near each other but there are always moments where at least 2 are in proximity.

I used his frenzy to quickly get across the map. All 4 were in the area, stabbed two with deep wound, cancelled frenzy, downed one, managed to down another, hook that one, one guy comes for heal, other unhooks, deep wound him and the unhooked guy, last one gets picked up, deep wound and commit to chase.

So now I've got all 4 survivors injured and inflicted with deep wound about 1-2 mins jnto the game. Shame I didn't have thanatophobia.

The pressure he puts on survivors is immense. Top tier in fact.

He's weaker at chases not going to deny that but that's to balance out how much he can pressure survivors.

Lets be honest they aren't going to release another Nurse level killer again. Shes too strong.

I like that they tried something different with this guy. I think Legion will be too niche for most players though. You're not meant to play him lile a normal killer.
  • Yup, most are playing him wrong.

Btw M&A sounds good but I heard that when the chase starts and his terror radius becomes 32m you might see auras that you can't make it too.

Thanat is good on him though.

And you have not explained that "anti-heal-meta" should actually be.

Changes? From the top of my head without any real hard thinking:
    1. Mending IS healing (affected by NC, Sloppy, Caulthro, etc)
    2. BT is NOT "deep wounds"
    3. Bleedout times should not stop completely while chased, just get slowed down
    4. Bleedout timer should not stop while mending
    5. Legions speed increased to 112.5 % (maybe even to 115%)
    6. Insta down abilities (MYC, Noed, etc) should work while in Frenzy, or at least draw double the amount from the bleedout bar.

Instadown working with Frenzy....do you realize how insane that would be? Vaulting over a pallet and instadown? Even doing double damage on the bar would make him pretty damn strong.

Bleedout time would be unfair too. The guy is meant to be spreading the damage around. Thats why he gets handicapped by chasing one survivor with the bleedout time stopping. Also it would be unfair on the survivor as no matter how good they are, once Legion got that first unavoidable hit they'd be doomed to go down eventually no matter how well they evade.

Bleedout time not stopping while mending would make him insanely OP. People nees to get to a safe distance from him to mend. They might not be able to mend in time if the progress didn't stop, and so he'd be able to just slug so many people with so little effort.

I think people need to be realistic with expectations. So many suggested buffs for him are just completely unrealistic and would make him far too strong. Its like people want a killer who can just destroy everyone no questions asked.

Go watch Dowsey on twitch. He seems to have Legion nailed at this point and it really showcases how he's meant to be played.

    1) Find survivor/survivors

    2) Activate Frenzy - hit survivor - your frenzy bar is now refilled

    3) Look around, do you see any glowing red auras around? - if yes, charge to them

    4) Hit new survivor, look around again for more survivor auras

    5) Repeat step 4 until you can't see anymore auras near you

    6) Since there are no more survivors nearby, uze your frenzy speed boost to catch up to the last survivor you hit, bodyblock them if need be

    7) This is really important, don't hit them with frenzy, press M2 and cancel the frenzy. You'll take a short stun but you should be near enough the survivor. If you hit them you get a cooldown, a stun and they get a speed boost.

    8) Now you should be close enough that it's just a short walk for you to down them with M1.

Legion does feel weak because he's not downing survivors. However there is no question after playing him and seeing him in action that he slows the gens down A LOT. Survivors spend so much time mending and healing. If they don't heal or use no mither then use your frenzy to get close, then cancel it manually and M1 them. 1 hit instadown.

He's definitely FAR above Freddy. Freddy can't slow the game down anywhere near as efficiently as Legion.

I don't get why people are so shocked that hes meant to waste time when anti-heal has been the meta since the last mid-chapter patch. He's basically just that.

Please tell me, what is the "anti-heal-meta"?
    Is that using Sloppy Butcher?
People talk about this all of a sudden, but I never seen that.
And actually I think it is an urban legend.

Its mentioned a lot everywhere. People just trying to get survivors to spend more time healing and less time on gens.

Tell me then, how would YOU fix this killer? What changes would you make?

@The_Crusader exactly, I also see people hiting a survivor twice with his power after the first hit which is something you should not do. What you need to do is cancel the power and deal with the stun otherwise you have to deal with giving them a sprint burst after the hit then suffer two stuns, the weapon wipe and the frenzy stun. I still think that deep wounds affect should be looked at as its very underwhelming.

But with only one hit the bleed out timer is so huge that the survivor won't get downed anyway, because he has to much time to "mend" himself.

But that mend takes time, and if they decide to heal up after that takes even longer.

I get that people feel deep wound is underwhelming but imagine for a second if it was easy to get them to bleed out to dying status. With how quick this guy can dash around and hit everyone, he'd be hands down the best slugger in the game.

That's why the timer is huge.

The devs don't want a load of slugging ahain either so I think he's like pig. Their powers aren't meant to kill/down, just to get survivors wasting time or walking around injured.

There is potential in him. When used well I've seen some games slow right down as so much time is spent healing. Sure he cant hook as fast as other killers but it balances out if he keeps survivors off gens long enough.

So their power is meant to "waste survivors' time", okay. What's the point in wasting their time, when you can't down them, because you move at 110% MS?

You hit everyone near you and on your last target after you apply deal wounds you get close to them and cancel it so you don't give them a speed boost and so you don't suffer two stuns. You don't lose that much distance try it yourself.
Exactly. God forbid people try to figure it out, rather than "why cant my M2 down people" which js exsctly why they cried about Clown.

I don't get why people are so shocked that hes meant to waste time when anti-heal has been the meta since the last mid-chapter patch. He's basically just that.

Find 4 survivors and give them all a slap at once. Now they're all off gens mending. If they choose to heal after that takes a lot of time with sloppy, and it wastes a lot of time throughout the game because this guy can land hits on you better than even the Nurse. He can do it over and over and over again without a penalty to himself.

If they don't heal to save time - well now they're always 1 hit from death. So he may be 110% speed but all it takes is one laggy pallet/window to get them down and we all know how BS pallet hits can be as a survivor.

I don't understand why people don't get this. Since the last update almost every killer out there has been taking sloppy and just whacking every survivor they see to get them spending tkme healing and off gens. Some even taking thanatophobia too.

This guy is basically just that. He's the anti-heal meta personified and again he's better at it than the Nurse.

Now I'm not saying he's perfect. From what I've seen he relies far too much on finding survivors together.but i think people are failing to understand him or just want a broken killer because some of the suggestions floating around have been ridiculous. I.e. bleed out time still goes down on chases, or e can down in 2 hits in frenzy mode.

    Yes exactly!

I see this a lot. To be honest I found myself accidentally doing it at first too.

If you hit a survivor twice you take the stun and they take the speed burst. It's a bad play.

The thing is Legion can definitely slow the game down. You're doing gens and suddenly you see two people go into bleed out at the same time. They HAVE to mend so thats like 20 seconds guarenteed healing.

People say you can counter him by staying injured the whole time. That's true, but then its 1-hit-down so its easy to see why he's 110 speed rather than 115.

I'd love to see how he performs with a 3 gen strategy. I think he'd be lethal.

I honestly don't care or SWF was intended or not. It's been in the game for most of it's entirety and it's a current and very popular feature in the game. It's not going anywhere.

I'm one of the many players that abandoned F13 and migrated here. If SWF wasn't a feature, I wouldn't have bought this game. I main survivor because I like playing with friends. I do some solo survivor and killer matches. It's way more fun for me to play with my friends that include my wife, some real life friends, and online friends from F13.

My point is that this game wouldn't have near this level of popularity if SWF was not in the game. The developers are not idiots.

You realize that you can play KYF with friends aswell?

This whole "only SWF is fun, not KYF" leads me to the conclusion that in reality it's not about "having fun with friends". It's more about "making fun about the Killer - with friends".

If the majority of SWF simply cared about "having fun with friends" as they claim, there would be absolutely nothing that hinders them from using KYF. They don't care about bloodpoints, don't care about ranks, don't care about win/lose - they just want to have fun so what better opportunity can there be besides KYF?

I tell you what; The Killer is a friend and that's the main reason why no one touches KYF. That friend has to play Killer against you, which is gonna be annoying AF. They realize how unfun it is to play against you, start to fight about "whos turn is it now as Killer?!". I've been there. We all have been there. Survivor feels boring aswell because you're not allowed to excessively loop, flashlight blind, use DS ect. as that would trigger your friend. As Killer, you're not allowed to bring certain perks or add-ons as it would ruin the survivor-friends fun.

Soooo, where is the fun? There is no fun...
What's the solution? Let's go SWF and troll random killers!

....and then act all surprised and upset when you find out that this random Killer is tryharding against your SWF with voice communication that just "wants to have fun with friends".

This might not apply to you and many other SWFs but if you'd play some more Killer, you'd realize that MANY SWFs play SWF exactly for this reason.

    Well said.

And it's not just the massive co-ordination and time effiency advantage they have, it's the toxicity.

I know SWF are fed up of killers ragging on them but that's brought on by a lot of toxic SWF groups. Even if they win and make it out they'll then spam steam profiles and tell people to go cause harm to themselves etc
  • Seems to me like a killer who would really benefit from a 3 gen strat.

The closer you can get survivors, the better. I'd say his 2 man gen aura perk is vital for him.

In fact aside from maybe enduring + spirit fury because hes slow, I'd recommend aura perks. You want to go after survivors close together.
  • I've got over 500 games on steam.

DBD is the only one that forced me to make my steam profile private  enough said.

Legion is basically the anti-healing meta of the past few months personified. Think of him that way.

    How is that any benefit?
NC doesn't show mending… so I expect it not to be affected by Sloppy or Caultrophobia either.
And you have to give up the chase to let the bleed timer go down.

    @Fibijean said:
he seems designed to counter "toxic" playstyles on both sides, for example his power discourages tunnelling but as I understand it he also counters survivors bodyblocking.

Again,, what is "toxic" about "tunneling"? Any time someone says SC is OP, the answer is "don't lose the injured survivor or he deserved to heal up". So tunneling is just playing efficient.
So this killer is more efficient in being unefficient...yay!^^

And how does he "counter" bodyblocking in any way?

Sloppy affects rhe heal from injured but not the mend. Coulrophobia is same from what I hear.

Maybe you don't find it useful but thats what the killer is meant to be. People want to use his ability to down opponents, that would be OP. Hes 120% speed and can vault pallets, its obvious why he can't down people easily using frenzy.

Hes basically like the pig. His power is meant to waste survivors time, not kill.

I've seen some people pull it off to be honest. If you get survivors close together he can really slow the game down, far better than Pig ever could. Of course this leaves him weak when survivors split up though.
  • Bleed out in chases...

Do you realize how OP that would be? You're guarenteed the first hit, then what you just wait 20 seconds for the survivor to fall down?

Some of the suggestions flying around are ridiculous and would make Legion insanely OP.

Legion is basically the anti-healing meta of the past few months personified. Think of him that way.
  • Ok my thoughts...

He's a crowd control killer. In terms of crowd control he's top notch.

You find two survivors on a gen, you acticate frenzy, slash one, turn around slash the other. He can do this easily because he's so fast and can vault pallets. You've now got one survivor who has to mend + heal. Not sure how long mend is, 20 seconds? And heal is like 40 seconds because every legion has been taking sloppy butcher. The other guy you commit to chasing.

He's also good at punishing unhooks I found. Hit one guy he now has to heal + mend, hit the other and now even if he loses you he has to mend.

Legion can make survivors waste a lot of time. I know people are calling for his movement speed to be increased but this wouldn't be a good idea because...

    1) His first hit is basically guarenteed. More so than any other killer.

    2) Survivors are talking about not bothering to heal against Legion to save time. That makes sense. However if you have a killer which can make people spend their game basically walking around exposed at all times its easy to see why they've balanced him with the slower movement speed.

The only problem with this guy is he's a bit poop if the survivors aren't together. If I had to take a stab at a buff, and I'm only guessing based on early play right now so this might not be balanced - but I'd say its the aura reading range that should be increased. 24m...it isn't much. He needs to be hitting multiple people.

But still even if you lose people in a chase they have to mend as soon as possible. This isn't as quick as people make out. No other killer can make survivors waste as much time off gens as this guy can.
  • Yeah he is really loud.
  • Wraith's first hit is also almost free, nerf wraith to 112,5% now?

Nah plenty of times with wraith they can get to a pallet

This guy is guarenteed a first hit.
  • Monto's 2 cents;

Watching monto play this killer made me face palm a few times he just hunted the same survivor for his mori, plus he barely used his power effectively at the right times. Funny when he thought bamboozle would effect pallets. I’d rather take my opinions from Tru3 or Ardetha
Yeah monto waa trying to get one guy .I've seen a few use him like that to be honest. They activate frenzy then just what the hell out of one guy.

I don't think they get it.

It seems the devs like to surprise people and let them figure it out on their own but I don't think it would hurt if they also put out a youtube video on the day showing how to use a killer and what they can do.
  • He's a really weird one to judge. He's the strangest killer.

Playing him and playing against him...

Sometimes he seems really weak. Yeah he's guarenteed that first hit due to his power. Coming out for the M1 though at 110% speed hurts him.

But then at other times he really has managed to bring the game to a halt. Especially if people try to self-care to full health while all Legions are currently using sloppy butcher.

Most killers let survivors do gens but they get quick hooks to try and build pressure

This one is slower at chases but in return he has survivors messing about mending and healing.

His power depends on how the survivors play. If you can catch a few together you're good. His perk helps a lot. Otherwise yeah he doesn't seem that strong. He's basically the anti swf-bully killer.
  • Terrortorial imperative is good on LF. If you do basement build you can see when they go in for the rescue. Otherwise you can play the game nornally and be ready to start the fun if anyone goes for the chest.

Spirit is too hex based IMO. Once ruin is gone and HG is used you're left with 1 perk until endgame. Try a tracking perk on her, Stridor or Nurse's calling or BBQ. Or maybe enduring just in case you take any pallet stuns or d-strikes.

Dont play Nurse much so can't really offer advice on that one.
