  • The way I always thought of it was they are wearing the clothes they had on when they were taken into the entity's world.

  • They always do. I'm beginning to understand that players don't really want what they say...they just want to have something to complain about.

  • Killer main here. I know that I tend to get that feeling every time I have a game where I manage to kill all 4 survivors with little to no fuss.

    1. Tacos (my favorite food) OR Arby's French dip and swiss
    2. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli OR chicken pot pie
    3. "The Works" Papa John's pizza with garlic butter dip
  • As a Michael Myers main, I'd love to see them add a Halloween 4 version of Myers.

  • As a killer main, I know the feeling. You have a stressful day, pop in DBD, and run around stabbing some survivors..it's quite a release, as twisted as it sounds.

  • I haven't seen this myself yet, but why do they keep adding things like this that literally no one asked for? First it was the annoying red pallet stun effect, now this. It's almost like the developers are sitting there going, "for the next update, we're going to add this completely unnecessary thing, oh the players are gonna love it!" No, if we did, we would ask for it. They need to stop adding random things out of nowhere for no apparent reason, that's all I'm saying.

  • I totally agree with you, OP. This game used to be darker in terms of the lighting, and even going to the basement felt like you were stepping into an evil place. Sadly, these elements are gone for the most part, as the lighting has been brightened to almost cartoonish levels, and the basement no longer feels like an evil place, to me. They need to make the lighting darker like it used to be, maybe add more mist to the maps as well.

  • Yep, that's how they seem to operate. They insult you for their bad luck, or in some cases..downright incompetence.

  • Yes, please! HATE the grind.

  • Totally agree with that. I've always HATED the grind, it's easily my least favorite thing about this game. You play who knows how many games everyday to save up enough points to go through the bloodweb, HOPING that maybe, just maybe, that one perk you want will be there...just to find that it isn't, and now you're out of points, so now you gotta go play some more, so annoying. As a matter of fact, I've recently been grinding Ghostface to get the next tier version of a couple perks I have for him, but even after at least 2 weeks of grinding, I still don't have them. It just doesn't seem to end, it's more like a job than a game.

  • I know that if I get REALLY hungry, and don't get anything to eat for a while, I will get sick at my stomach and become nauseous.

  • I'd like to think he would have an ability to just smash through pallets, like literally walk through them, smashing them into a million pieces, as that would be very accurate to his film counterpart.

  • @Kiskashi Exactly, I agree. They have a chance here to fix the issues with the 2018 film and improve, so I am hopeful as well. About the reveal trailer though, I actually kind of liked it, as it seemed like a nice throwback to older style trailers where there was a deep voiced narrator, so I thought that was a nice touch. And if you listen to it, notice they don't really show the scenes that you hear in the background, so it's also kind of like an old style radio spot too, which I liked.

  • @Rydog Lonnie Elam probably won't get out of the sixth grade ;)

  • Pretty cool. I'd personally like to see Halloween 4 Myers myself.

  • @Kiskashi Yeah I heard about that. Releasing them a year apart is certainly better than in the same month, BUT I think we all remember what happened with Halloween 5 when they did that. Doesn't mean it'll happen here as well, but still something to keep in mind. As for the titles, I'm ok with Halloween Ends, but I think Halloween Kills just sounds weird. I just hope they can fix the mistakes they made with the 2018 film. I never wanted a sequel, so I can't say I'm excited, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on them.

  • He might have been using sprint burst.

  • Lifelong Michael Myers/Halloween fan here. I don't understand what you're asking, or what you mean by "most important location"?

  • Yeah man, I hear you. You can still have good games though. I've had a couple good ones myself the past couple days. I find that it largely depends on the type of survivor players you're dealing with. A well coordinated, skilled team will make short work of your killing spree pretty quick.

  • I like your ideas, sounds like it would potentially bring the fear back.

  • My hobby is occasionally playing music on guitar and piano, and writing short stories, especially horror short stories, but my passion is horror. I love the big franchises like F13, Halloween, and Elm Street, and needless to say, their respective horror icons Jason, Michal, and Freddy. I love to dig into the behind the scenes info to see how these movies were made, and listening to the commentaries on the dvd's and bluray's. I also love to see all the amazing replicas people make of the masks and costumes. Needless to say, Dead by daylight is a perfect fit for that ;)

  • @RoKrueger Except Michael will ALWAYS catch up to you, some how. Once he sets his sights on you, he is an ever present threat.

  • I'm actually ok with the look of Legion, I've always found the mask to have a sort of creepy vibe to it. Something about having those big eyes and unsettling smile, it's like that REALLY freaking creepy sculpture of a girl's face called "Moe Moe", I think. I like the urban look too, with the hoodie jacket, pants and shoes. My favorite though, is probably the one with the skeleton mask.

  • @Kiskashi Couldn't have said it better myself, 100% on point, my friend ;)

  • I've always had a fear of heights. I remember one time in my electrical class in high school, everyone had to take turns climbing to the top of this really high scaffolding, and when I got up there, as is the case anytime I get really high up some place, I was quite literally frozen with fear, looking down. I managed to snap out of it as to not embarrass myself in front of the class, but man, the fear was real. You just get to appoint where you're so afraid, that you can barely move, because you're just simply too afraid to, thinking you might slip and fall.

Another fear I've always had is ghosts. I always get paranoid when I watch those ghost hunter type shows, especially at night ha ha. Like if I get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, as I walk through the darkness, I almost feel like there's something, or someone, there. I know it's ridiculous, but that's how paranoid it can make me sometimes.

Another fear I have is sleep paralysis. I've had it numerous times in my life, and it's alays scary. If you've had it, you know why. Other fears I've had are an asteroid hitting Earth, killing us all, black holes in space sucking up the Earth, and nuclear war.

  • I have nothing against adding more animations, but let's be careful here and not add anything too goofy, as it would stick out like a sore thumb in an otherwise dark, gritty game. Maybe give Michael Myers his famous head tilt while looking at a hooked survivor, that would be perfect. Just nothing silly like dancing...I cringe to think back to the dancing troll squads of F13 the game.

  • That is hilarious!

  • @Kiskashi Exactly, I agree! One of the main problems with the 2018 film was how they handled Michael's character. They made him a Jason-like brute, showed him way too much, and didn't even let him stalk anyone. I hope they learn from those big mistakes with the sequel. I also think there should be more dark, blue lighting like the 78 original, but that's just me, it'd add a lot of very much needed atmosphere the 2018 film was majorly lacking. Now, for this next point, I don't want to step on any toes, or offend anyone or anything, but I think it's pretty clear the 2018 film was riding off the MeToo movement, which was yet another mistake, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with having a strong female character to go up against the killer in one of these movies, heck, pretty much every slasher film over the past 40 years has done it, so it's nothing new, and there's certainly nothing wrong with that by any means, it's just that they seemed to crank it up to 11 due to the MeToo movement, and it's pretty obvious and slightly annoying if you ask me. We horror fans don't want agendas like that shoved into our movies where they don't belong, so hopefully, they will tone down that element with the sequel.

  • @Kiskashi Yeah, I don't even want a sequel, let alone 2 of them ha ha. Doing them back to back in the same month is a recipe for disaster, if you ask me. If you recall back in 1988, Halloween 4 came out to some success, so they immediately jumped onto a sequel, and so, Halloween 5 came out in 1989, just 1 year later, and I think the film shows how that went. I personally don't buy into the rumors of this happening, as it just seems too crazy to be true honestly. Regardless, if they do indeed make a sequel, I really hope they finally kill Laurie like they should have done in the 2018 film so they can just end this franchise. As much as I love the franchise, it REALLY needs to end already. If they continue making sequels, you're just going to end up right where you were with garbage films like Halloween Resurrection.

  • I agree, I wish we got a map with him, but if they did add one, it wouldn't be from the Scream films sadly.

  • Myers main and lifelong fan here. I grew up with the character and series. He is my absolute favorite horror icon, let alone the whole reason I got DBD. The 1978 Halloween is my favorite in the series, and favorite horror film PERIOD. I HATE the Rob Zombie films, especially his Halloween 2 from 2009.

He basically turned Michael into Jason, a big mistake, and they seem to have continued that, though not quite as much, with the 2018 film, which I'm not a fan of by the way. My second favorite is Halloween 2 from 1981, and my third favorite is Halloween 4. I'm ok with Halloween 3 though, to be honest. If you realize the fact they were trying to make the series an anthology, than it definitely works. Needless to say, I'm glad the 1978 version is what they added to DBD, though there are a few visual inaccuracies, such as the hair and boots. I'd love to see them add the Halloween 4 version of Myers to DBD.

  • This is great news! I wasn't aware they were changing Enduring again in the PTB.

  • Michael Myers, the whole reason I got the game. At the moment, I'm giving Ghostface a go as I rank him up, and plan to try out Freddy's rework upon release.

  • Yes, I want this SO bad.

  • I've never liked the swamp maps either, mainly because they seem so uninspired. All the other maps have so much more atmosphere, but the swamp maps seem so dull by comparison.

  • Yes I would, very much so.

  • No, the DBD version of Ghostface is not from the Scream universe, even though there are a number of references to the Scream films. Plus...it's just a game.

  • September, I believe.

  • I completely agree, I've never been a hardcore gamer. I don't sit around playing 24/7, I only play when I have some free time, and happen to be in the mood to do so. I keep it very casual. I only play as horror ions the game has like Michael Myers, the whole reason I got the game in first place. Of course when I play, I try my best to play correctly by doing objectives and playing my role, but unlike many, I do not let it consume me, it's mostly just for fun to kill an hour or so. I also find it amusing how so many people who take the game way too seriously come to this forum to complain about something everyday, yet when you go into the actual game to play, their complaints ae nowhere to be found, 9 times out of 10.

  • I'm a simple man...I only buy the ones I am legitimately interested in.

  • No, I think Myers is fine as he is. This is coming from a Myers main, by the way.

  • I'd like to see old Universal movie monsters like Wolfman or creature of the black lagoon. I feel I need to address the above Pyramid Head comments. As much as I like the character and franchise, he was intended to represent James Sunderland's punishment in Silent Hill 2, which is where he should stay. Sadly, he has been extremely over used and out of context FAR too many times. Plus he's very slow even if that weren't the case, and were to be added.

  • I'm all for a Silent Hill paragraph with just a survivor, but no Pyramid Head, please. He's been so over used as it is.

  • Have you seen that new game called Sinking City? It's inspired by HP Lovecraft, and is even set in the 1920's.

  • @Detective_Jonathan Thank you! Finally, someone that gets it. As a lifelong fan of the character, I'm pretty tired of all the "shirtless Myers" nonsense.
