  • I'm a killer main, Michael Myers being my main (whole reason I got the game), and for when I occasionally play as survivor, my main is Ace.

Now watching the year 4 video i really feel like they will put those animated imagery and not CGI that i hoped for....But even if they do it like this, i don't really care.I am not for some CGIs after all.The most i want from the archives is a good, well structured and interesting lore.

    Agreed.

That's really cool. I had a feeling it was a real mask given the Funworld license but I didn't know it was limited edition. That explains why they named it Legacy in game

    Thanks dude

    No problem man :)

  • I certainly hope so. It would be such a disappointment, and mistake, to hype up such a cool new, long overdue feature, and not deliver in full.

  • Oh I agree. It's not just the lobby, either. The whole game has lost a lot of it's dark, eerie atmosphere. It's too bright now, I really wish they would change it back, or at the very least, darken it up and maybe add some more mist.

  • I also thought it was weird that this outfit makes him suddenly look "beefed up". Honestly though, I wish they could just get the rights to add the Scream film robe. Funworld produces a costume of it anyway, so if not the film version, why not just base it off of that? Anyway, a bit of trivia for you all...the chrome Ghostface mask was actually a real mask made by Funworld a few years ago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of them producing the Ghostface masks since the early 90's.

I imagined you enraging and surrounded by fire as you shouted those last words to the wind.

No worries, there's no fire here. It had to be said 😉

  • To answer your question, yes. As long as humanity exists, there will be those who complain. Whether those complaints are valid or not is a whole other matter. Some complain for good reason, some complain just to get attention, and some just complain about everything, no matter what happens, because they are trolls who have nothing better to do with their wasted time than spread needless negativity in order to derail otherwise positive discussions and bring everyone down into a spiraling pit of chaos for their own morbid pleasure.

  • I've heard rumors of Pinhead.

I seriously doubt that we will get Stranger Things chapter. They will probably just release some skins like in Fortnite.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they would even do with Stranger Things anyway, to be honest.

  • I've heard rumors of either Pinhead or something from Stranger Things.

  • Yes, ignore them. Their immature toxic messages mean nothing, nor should you even remotely care what they think of you. It's entirely irrelevant noise and nothing more. Play the game how YOU want, not how they want.

  • I agree the effect was cool, but it just doesn't belong now with his new teleport ability. It made sense to have it when he put survivors to sleep, as you would see their faces, but now that they are already asleep, and he just teleports, there is no reason for the effect to be there. Again, I agree it was a cool effect, but just my thoughts.

  • You just answered your own question...they disconnect because they can't stand being defeated by a skillful killer who actually poses a legitimate threat to them. This isn't exclusive to the nurse either, it applies to every killer in the game. To those who say they "win" by disconnecting, that's not entirely accurate. It is actually the killer that wins, as they receive a "quitter bonus" points the moment they disconnect. This also applies to cases where it's their last hook before being sacrificed. The killer still wins because as far as I'm concerned, if the killer put them on their last hook, the kill still technically counts, even if they disconnect, as they would have died anyway.

  • As a killer main who's been playing since 2017, I find camping hooks to be a noob move, and if they're not a noob, then it's a troll move. Many will say it's a "strategy" in order to justify it, but I don't buy that at all. How any killer player sees benefit of hook camping is beyond me. You're wasting your time that you could be spending getting more points by hooking other survivors, damaging gens, breaking pallets, chasing survivors, getting hits, etc. Meanwhile, while you're camping a hook, everyone's repairing gens with little issue due to the lack of your presence. Just my thoughts, and again, this is coming from a long time killer main, NOT a survivor.

  • 😂 That's hilarious!

  • It would be awesome to have Robert Englund's Freddy in game. I never understood why they didn't add the original Elm Street film version of Freddy. Rights issues?

  • If they could have gotten the Scream film rights, I guarantee they would have added Sidney Prescott and a Woodsboro map along with Ghostface, thus making it a proper 'chapter'. Unfortunately however, that did not happen, so instead, we just got Ghostface, though not from the films, despite there being some nods to the films regardless. My guess on why they didn't just give us an original map and survivor was because if they had done that, the Scream film fans would have likely been upset that they gave us those, instead of getting the rights to do it right by giving us the real deal. So, they played it safe by just giving us Ghostface alone. Still though, it should be called a 'paragraph', not a 'chapter'.

  • Well actually, it used to be where if someone disconnected during the load screen, the game would still play out as normal, just there'd be 3 survivors instead of 4 (if it was a survivor that left, that is.) I wish it was still like this, but I can understand why they changed it, as survivors would be at a disadvantage from the start with only 3 instead of 4.

  • Immaturity, it's really that simple. They have an ego that they feel they have to uphold at all costs, no matter what. So, the moment they meet their match, they cry foul. To be fair, you camping them will only lure them into sending such toxic messages, even if it feels like you're getting back at them by giving them a taste of their own medicine, so to speak. As anyone will tell you, the best thing to do, and best way to defeat them, is to just simply ignore them. Trolls CRAVE attention, and they are trying everything they can to get a response out of you, and if you give in to that by taking the bait, you are basically feeding them exactly what they want. You can't fight fire with fire.

  • For my survivor main Ace, I have the gray tuxedo and white panama hat. For killer, even though he's not my main, I have Ghostface in the devil robe outfit with the classic white mask and default Buck 120 knife for as close a look to the Scream films as possible.

  • Couldn't agree more! I've always HATED the insane grind this game has. I have never played a game in my life that is so grindy as this one. I think one thing that would help is to just remove the tier 1 and 2 versions of each perk in the game, and just leave in the tier 3 version, so you get the best possible version of that perk right away, and not have to spend ages grinding to get the next tier version.

  • The only time that I care about ranking up and getting points is when I'm trying to rank up a character and unlock the perks I want for them. Otherwise, I just hop on to play casually when ever I'm in the mood to do so.

  • In terms of being the scariest/creepiest, in my opinion, it's a tossup between the Spirit and the Doctor.

  • I would assume so, yes. The Realm of the Entity seems to be it's own separate world/universe, therefore, there should be no affect on the real world.

  • No, I don't think so. If there's a certain map you happen to like, and want to play on, then why shouldn't you? Especially if you want to try out a new map. Of course, the counter point to that is not everyone else wants to play that map. If the feature were to be removed though, I would be ok with it as I kind of like the map selection being random.

  • I don't think so. I think history has shown that no multiplayer horror game can last long against DBD. None of them could do it. The only one that came close was F13, but of course the lawsuit killed that one. Last Year was delayed without news updates for at least a year, if I recall correctly, and when it finally did release, no one was or is, playing it. Not to mention the Last Year devs are supposedly very rude and selfish, from what I've heard. That's certainly doing them no favors. And then there's this game, Hide or die. I believe it was playable about a year ago, and like Last Year, it went away, and now here it is again. I guess we'll see what the future holds, but if the past history of these DBD competitors is anything to go by, it won't last.

  • Well, I've played Ghostface for the past 3 weeks grinding to rank him up, and he's pretty good, not great, but good. He's definitely worth a purchase, especially if you're a Scream/Ghostface fan like I am. The new reworked Freddy on the other hand, looks fantastic, in my opinion. I have not personally tried him out yet, but based on what I've heard and seen in gameplay videos, he is great.

  • As I do with all the game's movie killers, I've created a unique Scream film inspired loadout for him...

    Monitor And Abuse

    Enduring

    Unrelenting

    No One Escapes Death

  • Agreed. Never understood why they chose to use words instead of actual numbers to describe the amounts.

  • I'll tell you, the most epic moment I've ever felt in a game was in Battlefield 1943 on the PS3 a few years ago. It was a conquest battle in online multiplayer with pretty much a full lobby of players on both sides. Any one who's played a Battlefield game knows that literally anything crazy could happen at any given moment due to the open ended nature of it. Anyway, there was a moment where I was with maybe 5 other guys, and we all surrounded this enemy flag and defended the area while we captured it. No issues, so we stayed together, and moved on.

As we all made our way up this hill, all of a sudden, another group of enemies came to the top of the hill firing on all of us, and there was even a tank up there too, along with a jeep of our guys going up the hill beside us. All these players on both sides firing on each other with everything we've got, while planes dogfight in the skies above us. We eventually managed to clear them all out, and made our way to the top of the hill. It was one of those moments that seemed like it as scripted straight out of a war movie, or maybe a veteran's war story, it was so perfect and clutch. Never experienced anything like that since.

  • I really hope so. If they've taken the time to give each and every character in the game a back story, including the licensed ones, then I don't see why they wouldn't be included in the archives. Heck, they could put images from the films themselves in the archives, who knows?

  • Killer main here. In my experience of playing the game since the console release in 2017 (2 years), I would say 2 kills per game is average, sometimes 3. But if you're really lucky, you'll get 4 from time to time, it just REALLY depends on the type of survivor players you're dealing with, I have found in my time playing. If they're the types who loop you to no end, and go for every single pallet, and manage to repair 2 generators within 2 minutes of the game starting...you're going to have a hard time. But if not, then you can have a pretty good game. No matter what the case may be though, as long as you have been playing killer long enough to get the basic gist of it down, and certainly get the hang of the particular killer you're playing as, you will almost always get at least 1 kill.

  • I've been playing as him trying to rank up and get all the perks I want for him for the past 3 weeks, and I can tell you that in my experience (especially being a Myers main), that Ghostface is actually pretty good, not as good as Myers, but he's certainly not weak. You'll get used to being broken out of your power, but the upside is you get an indicator of where the spotter was, so it's no big deal really. I never bother squatting down or leaning around corners as I find it a bit too situational, and frankly unnecessary, especially since you have zero terror radius and no red stain while standing stalk. His perks are honestly not very good, so I didn't even bother using them, instead making my own unique Scream film inspired build.

Ultimately, I'd say he is pretty good, and you can definitely get 4 kills from time to time, and his devil outfit is cool, mainly because it's the closest to the Scream film robe when worn with the white mask and default Buck 120 knife. Plus, considering the slightly lower dlc price, it's not a bad buy in my book. I will say this though, a large amount of your enjoyment will depend on how much a fan you are of the Scream films and the Ghostface character in general. For me, I've always been a huge fan, so I had to have it.

  • Life long Halloween fan here. I wasn't a fan of the 2018 film, so I never wanted a sequel, let alone 2. I feel they should have killed Laurie at the end of the 2018 film, and just ended it there. Regardless, I feel they have a chance to address the various issues 2018 had with these 2 films like show Michael less, add darker lighting, let Michael actually stalk people. In any case, Laurie NEEDS to die. In terms of the mask, I personally hope that he steals a new, clean white mask. I never was a fan of the dirty, grungy, masks like Rob Zombie and 2018.

  • Killer main here, and I agree with this. The comments you are referring to sound like they are coming from an egotistical, immature perspective of "I'm better than you, so it's not my problem that you lost and I WON". It's over simplifying things, and as you point out, there is a layer of complexity to how everything turns out in any given game, regardless of what role you're playing.

  • No. This is the classic survivor main mindset..."Oh look guys, it's Freddy (all the survivors laugh. Reworked Freddy proceeds to get 4 kills.) "Oh my gosh, he's actually good now, what do we do?! I know! Join me in our survivor main battle cry...NERF! NERF! NERF!" Seriously though, it makes you wonder if these same people approach every little hint of challenge in their lives like this as well.

  • Sounds like someone's been playing too much DBD 😋

  • It's not a bad idea.

  • I agree, and it should fit the theme of that particular killer as well.

  • I agree. This is something the EA Sports games used to do, not sure if they still do, but the intro would be a different athlete saying "It's in the game" each time you started up the game. With as many killers as DBD has now, I see no reason why they couldn't do the same here.

i think jason should be able to teleport to players with a phasing animation like spirit, but with auto aim. and have a 35 meter lunge (maybe more that kinda seems under powered) and i feel like he needs a black skin-tight latex jumpsuit.

Sounds like you're referring to part 8 Jason...

    part8_publicity_Still_machete.jpg

  • When it comes to movie killers, I always try to create a build for them that is accurate to their character in their films. So, regardless of which film version of Jason that would be in game, Brutal Strength is a no brainer for him. I would also say Enduring makes sense for his character. Monitor and Abuse is debatable as well.

  • @se05239 said:

To be honest, this would only promote more basement camping. If killer needed more point, it should be via a bonus for hunting survivors who've not been on the hook recently.

    That's a fair point.

  • It's there to discuss the game you just had with the other players, simple as that. Unfortunately, like anything of that nature, it has been abused.

  • I like the overall atmosphere of the game. It may not have as much atmosphere as it used to, but it's still there regardless. It's dark and gritty. But my main reason for coming back is to play as my favorite movie killers Michael Myers and Ghostface. I'm a horror fan, and sometimes, I'm just in the mood to pop in DBD and run around as one those 2 and (sort of)live out the fantasy of being that character. It was the whole reason I got the game, after all.

  • I'm a killer main, Myers being my main. I do occasionally play as survivor though just to mix things up a little. My survivor main is Ace.

  • It doesn't particularly matter to me, I don't spend a lot of time in the menus anyway. As long as it works, and serves it's purpose, I couldn't care less, to be honest.
