It's so fun I always laugh. I have even got people banned for cussing at me on xbox messaging.

  • im back after a few months and they still havent done anything so i think weve done a pretty good job so far

  • please someone test Calm Spirit against her to see if you are still loud while puking or quiet. as well as her new perk that makes you scream if she downs another person near you if you can.

  • this is when i find the killer and do my best to tell him to follow me and lead him to the other person with my bond, and allow the killer to kill me unless they give me the hatch since i dont care if i die (especially if the survivor was doing that)

  • it also helps against doctor since its annoying to me lol.

  • individual moris depending on which killer your playing and diffrent for each survivor would be a nice quality of life change

  • nea from noob3 but i kinda wish i would of waited until kate came out lol

    Hello DBD-Devs!
This is no rant post, I am genuinely interested in your approach on creating a killer like the legion?
Do you convert an amazing concept into a killer or do you create a killer to the needs of the game itself?
What was the concept behind the legion?
What game play decisions do you make?

So I was on the grim pantry just playing some survivor and this Leatherface just wasnt moving at all and swinging at the air. I thought it was one of those bots that people use to farm but then I remembered I was on console and I dont think they can do that on console. But yeah I just took the opportunity to max my boldness and I just took the hatch at the end. I do remember seeing a video where something similar happened but it was the killer pretending to do that and if a survivor got close he would just down them and hook them so I didnt want to take my chances. But yeah i got some good bps out of it at least.

all you have to do is tape down the trigger and you keep swinging

  • i asked thesame question a while ago and i hope they do it because im tired of playing with my friends since i have to restart my game after every ,match because of the bugs. thats why i usually play SWF

As the Winter Solstice Double Bloodpoints event demonstrated to the community,

In its current state, WGLF is a debatable perk because of how much it still encourages farming survivors off the hook and yolo-saving in general by tanking lethal hits just to gain as many tokens as possible.

The old intervention that developers made on this perk:
    Patch 1.7.0 - 14 September 2017

This change possibly discouraged the intense level of farming, but still I feel like it just needs to get easier to get your 100% bonus bloodpoints, because in its current state you just gotta riskily force survivors off the hooks and get hits over hits in order to obtain the full bonus, and that's what incentives the whole farming thing.

I'm on a first place gonna admit that I'm myself one of the people that is really farmish with this perk on (I use Borrowed Time most times, but it's still farming), and I also do tank lethal hits just to keep on tiering it up.
It's a perk that leads to a somewhat toxic atmosphere, and that could potentially ruin the game for survivors that aren't themselves running it, but that have someone in their team that wants to quickly gain tokens with it.

The change that I have in mind would be quite neat:
the perk should be made so that you only have to gain 2 tokens to reach 100% bonus bloodpoints (1 token should be worth a 50% stackable bonus instead of 25%, the current value), but unlike the first version of the perk, you should have your cap right there, you shouldn't be able to go past 2 tokens / 100% bonus points.

With this idea, you can make it easier to reach your target cap and you can just start playing more carefully after you get to it, or, with a more optimistic view of this change in action, I would say that it's generally more likely to get to perform some genuine altruistic actions a couple of times, whether it's an unhook or a protection hit, without forcing it like one's got to do in the current state of the perk.

no they should just add an extra ability like BBQ and chilli has

I think making struggle phase more rewarding while in the killer's terror radius should fix camping. As in if you're being camped and you get to the struggle phase you get enough point to black pip or if you had enough objective at some point it might be enough to pip.

This will encourage survivors who are being camped to stay and waste the killer's time. Being camped is not fun and in most cases players just suicide on hook when they realize they're being camped to just go to the next game and that in my opinion is why some killers still do it looking for the one hook kills and easy wins.

sadly camping is something you deal with in almost every game and in DBD camping is a strat. while it is a very annoying one to deal with (i know myself cause i play survivor more than killer) its there and the best way to deal with it is gen rush or farm them if you need to and at least give them a chance. most of the time they camp due to the game almost being over. i have just learned to always bring Borrowed time as a precaution.

Well, that depends, because I had to catch myself from quitting. If they were hooked 2 times and ongoing to three, I wouldn't blame them for leaving. Why watch what you already know is gonna happen? Or what if their internet is acting dumb? Or what if they had to go? Or what if someone unplugged their ps4? There's more to it than just a "rage quitter".

You should blame them for leaving. Why, when you know whats going to happen? Not only are there hundreds of scenarios, from wiggling out, teamates body blocking, teamates with flashlights or fire crackers, to simply just wasting the killers time, actually having to pick you up off the ground, walking you to a hook and hanging you. Precious time your teamates have. Every second in this game counts. It also basically steals points from the killer, which is just rude tbh.

    They get a quitter bonus.

We need need NEED some sort of penalty or ban for disconnecting. I have never seen such a piss poor community more than I have this game. I play red ranks as both survivor and killer and I wish I was kidding but i played 4 games in a row as killer last night and someone had disconnected in ever single match I had played. And just now I played 6 games in a row as survivor and someone has disconnected on all 6 games I just played.

Why even play the game if you're just going to quit? I really don't get it. They need to add a ban or SOMETHING. Simply losing 5k-1,500 bloodpoints clearly isn't enough.

Edit: this is an ongoing thing as well, I play this game quite frequently (admittedly more than I should) and 3i find out of every 10 games I play at the very least 2/10 games someone disconnects on me. This isn't just a killer thing either, survivors disconnect way too frequently. It really is ruining this game.

after dedicated servers maybe but until then no since half the time i disconnect because of a bad ping when it was CLEARLY GREEN IN THE LOBBY

Except you can by checking their accounts and friend lists.

It's not accurate as there are ways to fool the killer checking.
    Not to mention, private profiles.

I'm pretty sure you can tell by them joining the lobby in the same time but ok dude.

New matchmaking system, though. If you played the PTB, the lobby will now ALWAYS pop in all survivors at the same time. This is to stop killers dodging when all four survivors join at the same time.
This is coming to live soon.

    I cant understand this...

well if im being tunneled the whole game i will just dc if you dont leave me since i will get more BP then if i just stayed in the game getting chased not getting altrusim, objective, and survival points considering they usually have NOED which screws me over in the end

Ok so I play both survivor and killer on xbox. 500 hours, about 300 to survivor and about 200 to killer (198 to every single other one and 2 to Nurse with games where I got abused). And I switched to PC since Xbox got boring rank 1 was easy to get to and it was ridiculous how overused killers like Myers were :( . So I played a little survivor and decided to try out Nurse, my only perk was a nurses calling, no addons and I 4 manned in the Asylum with only 1 blink missed and then I 3 manned in the Shelter woods (Last guy got hatch due to the hatch spawning when I slugged them because exit gates were open, almost got him tho ^^). I had no addons and I dont get why faster turning and better frames make her so easy to use. I literally watched 1 nurse guide telling me to zigzag blink (Ardetha's guide on YT) and other things and I find her so easy? Am I naturally good at her or is she easy to play on PC. I have more struggles playing Trapper lol. Btw PC community is so nice I love it here ^^.

idk your asking in the survivor area not the killer

    Hello,
I had a funny idea and I wanted to share it with you. The game is called Dead by Daylight. Related to this, it would be very cool if there would be a sunrise on all maps. My thought was, if the last generator is powered on and the exit gates are available, the darkness slowly fades away and the sun rises, making it harder for survivors to hide. It would make the final part of the round really exiting, due to noticeable lightning changes. (Maybe the fog is disappearing slowly too). So the player cannot hide infinitely and he gets end-game pressure. In my opinion the maps would feel so much more alive. I hope this is possible and maybe in the future something like this is coming to the game. It would be very nice.

maybe not a sunrise but a brighter moon since lore wise this wouldnt work

This attitude of many survivor gamers is annoying. Getting constantly taebagged by you and you wonder why we Killer face-camp you? I don't care if your buddies get out, as long you die on the hook. That's the punishment for your bad behavior. It's even more rewarding, when I see you purple boxes/lamps are getting added to my collection of respectless people.

Without us Killers you don't have a game!!!

i get camped either way because i was able to evade him to one gen left. good thing my adrenaline pops when i get saved and i run out the exit gate since he decided to camp

  • i cant play because of survivors gliding after throwing down pallets its so annoying

  • I do like 3 gens, get all totems and then if I'm not at full boldness I go in the basement for a while to farm boldness points (considering most killers refuse to be stunned), most of the time I can't get any altruism points because most people have self-care and don't get hooked so I can't save them, and surviving is a given but you only can get 5000 from escaping and that's not where it stops it can go up higher so in order to farm both altruism points and survival points i must heal myself because I get altruism from skill checks and survival from fully healing so I usually can get max but it takes like 20 minutes and most of the time the killer DC's because he just wants me to leave because he is already at max everything because its so simple to get points in their 4 categories because it doesn't require people to help them get those points. what really annoys me is when I am tunneled the entire game then get called trash after because I looped him the entire game and then adrenaline pops on and I run to the exit that's opened for me and so I escape with little to no objective points. I mean it's not my fault the killer didn't go after an easier target and that the ranking system is so bad that I am near rank 15 and can't get lower cause I almost always safety pip and so I go against new-inexperienced killers is that my fault? I enjoy playing survivor but if I want BP I play a killer with BBQ so I usually get 60k BP or more because of how easy I find playing the killer.

  • these new map changes sometimes make the game extremely dark or extremely light I think its the moon when it changes it completley, changes how dark it is which is such a big change its the difference from living and dieing

  • i just feel like sometimes when i escape with another yellow flashlight sometimes the number stays the same while sometimes it will go up

  • no i worked hard to get the donkey jacket. you cant just want it and get a dlc for it you must work for it if it comes back.

again items and add ons for survivor is not guaranteed to survive and items and add ons for killers well the item is your power which i can argue does alot more for than my item and the add ons are so much more powerful then our item add ons so when items/power and add ons are given equal power then they can be one use. and no its not a 1v4 for me its a 1v1v1v1v1

LoL, survivor items are pretty much overpowered considering their items should do far less since it's 4v1.

You have friggin instaheals while insta-down addons on killers usually have heavy downsides like for example myers who takes forever to stalk to tier3 with the unlimited EW addon while you can just pack in a brown medkit with the syringe and have an instaheal.

Toolboxes save you 20 friggin seconds per gen if you equip them for speed.

Maps make Hexes redundant altho good maps are pretty rare.

The key with addons is a potential 4man free escape if you play against a killer that has an endgame build like freddy.

Also killers are still weaker than a good survivor unless you're playing nurse/billy.

4v1 but i cant kill the killer? also intaheal is one use while a myers lock of hair gives unlimited tier 3

How is ps4 with the new updated engine and the brigther auras?

It actually looks great! In my opinion, at least in darker maps like the swamp, macmillan's and crotus prenn, the auras look much brighter and I didn't struggle at all finding hooks, gens, bbqs and even totems. It feels good, man. I didn't notice a huge difference on Coldwind though, but I only got a single chance in that map and the 3 survivors that spawned just dc'ed real quick.

I have yet to play on Gideon's and Lery's, let's see how that rolls.

The only map where I kinda struggled was curiously the new snow map... for some reason the auras don't look as bright or solid as in the other ones.

What do you guys think? How do things look from a survivor perspective? Hooked friends, crawling ones?

i havent gotten the new map yet but they look great. maybe they could brighten the auras on the new snow map a little bit to combat how dark it is with the snow

  • can we just let this go already FFS if you want more BP just play killer if not suck it up as I do.

Since the chapter-theme music is only in the main menu and the loadout screens have the basic soundtrack, I suggest the following:

    1) Main menu should always have the chapter music or event music

    2) All characters before the Curtain Call chapter (excluding Halloween chapter) should have the basic music when selected

    3) All characters from the Curtain Call chapter and beyond should have the corresponding chapter music when selected.

    What do you guys think?

I would rather be able to choose from a section in the options whichever music I want to listen to from past events and chapter releases (although NOONE would ever use the curtain call chapter music I still suggest adding them all)

DS is way better than Noed.
Have you every seen DS destroyed before you could use it?

with ds you can juggle the survivor, with noed you can destroy all of the totems. DS gives a free escape from the killers grasp, NOED gives a free exposed effect and we dont even get the luxury of knowing you have NOED its a suprise unlike DS. not apples and oranges because they both are OP

See this? It's normal DBD HUD...
But there's something Wrong with it; It misses 1 giant opportunity.

I remember a while back, someone suggested that survivors shouldn't rush to a Gen at the start of a game. No? They should instead wait for the killer to pass first to decrease the chance of them being caught.

It sounded like a great idea, especially for SWF's but there was a downside...
What if another survivor had already been caught? Should you play stealthy? Probably not!

Because, as a solo survivor, you don't know what the others are up to, rushing to a generator is your only way to make sure you aren't wasting precious time or losing your team the game by doing nothing behind a bush.

    So let's change that!
Remember the HUD I showed you?...
The problem survivors have is that they don't know when another survivor has been caught...
Let's say that being caught means you being in a chase!
We can let survivors play stealthy until a player has been caught! That's when they should be doing Gens, or otherwise without this information, there is only 1 mundane play-style that is strong and that is pure efficiency; doing Gens Gens Gens.

This is how we solve it:

When a survivor enters a chase, they will have a Killer's icon (or any other identifiable icon) below their player HUD, to showcase that they have been caught. Based on this, a stealthy survivor can determine whether it's still beneficial to be hiding or whether they should be doing the objective!

Because of this Key Information, survivors get stronger in a healthier way, which in turn allows us to buff killers while also opening new opportunity for non-SWF survivors, creating an over-all healthier balance to the game.

Maybe the first time you read this, you won't see how important this is, but think it through; This is the difference between hiding and running; Looping and Stealth-based gameplay... and all that with a simple change to HUD!

    i agree
