they should make vigil allow you to recover from Exhaustion from running! would make the game fair again.
They want variety, and everyone would run vigil, sprint burst, selfcare. Would kill the point of striving to diversify perks.
i was being sarcastic if you didnt notice

The stun already is guaranteed, you only need to time it correctly.
But I guess you want to go the super easy way
its not a guaranteed if the killer picks up the survivor with the survivor vaccum that sucks the survivor to him by a foot or two if there was no vaccum where the killer could suck the survivor to him by a foot or two he would be forced into picking up a dropped survivor in the middle of a palete where they are and it would be easier but now all he has to do is be more than halfway put of the palete and move imediatley out and sometimes it doesnt even register but gives the bloodpoints for stun after he is moving
There is no grab vacuum anymore. That might have been an excuse for before, but now it's completely your fault if you mess up the pallet timing
thier still is a grab vacuum not as much but just enough to move out of the pallet as i throw it down and he is safe and then i cant drop it as the animation ends because it never drops and gives me points for the stun but not the actual stun
There is no vacuum anymore, ######### are you talking about?
the multiple videos of proof i have on my xbox account of killers being able to pick up survivors from a good foot away
So within arm's reach? You know that Killers have arms, right?
how should a killer be able to pick up a 120- 150 pound survivor unless they are right over them thier is no arms reach they should fix it or make the animation longer if you want to suck the survivor closer to you by a foot like it happens in the game. it looks unrealistic.
Because the Killer is supernaturally-empowered by a god-like Entity. The lack of animation doesn't make it unrealistic; it just makes it look weird.
but if a survivor is picked up where he exactley is in the dying state it would make it more realistic and better to get pallet saves
Wait what how is it realistic for a killer to pick up a survivor on top of them have you watched a horror movie most killers grab the survivors and drag them by the legs. Its more dramatic on account of the fact that the animation of a killer dragging a survivor is more chilling then one of a killer standing over a survivor and grabbing them. There is more hostility in grabbing the survivor from his legs then body.
then why dont they add an animation for grabbing the survivors by the feet and picking them up instead of sucking them into thier grasp length

Dont get it twisted, you’re not some host because that’s what killers should be, you’re only so because it works, and it’s cheap for servers. Anything involving manipulation of lobbies is your privilege, not your rightCall it what you want but switching last second is a cheap tactic done by people that just want to bully the killer. If the killer doesn't want to play with you they have every RIGHT not to, it's their lobby not yours. There are plenty of killers that will be fine with full bloody SWF w/ flashlights, but those are the killers these survivors purposely try to avoid by last second switching. It removes any sort of counter-pick on the killer's side, putting the survivor at a serious advantage they wouldn't have otherwise, hence why it's a cheap tactic and done by people that are too scared to play fair.
so if i dont want to go against a michael with tuft curl of hair and tombstone with play with your food so he goes faster than normal i should be able to know that and dodge the killer cause i dont feel like going against a toxic add-ons (survivor items) and the michael with bloody clothing that i dont see unless im in game. check my other reply for the fix to this and make it to wherre your locked in so people cant change characters in lobbys

Yay or Nay?Personally, after getting my ass handed to me by 2 flashlight Claudettes (Just 2...) while doing my best to look at walls, I see just how unfair it is. Of course I was running the standard NOED + Ruin. And the only reason I get a kill is due to that beautiful savior of a perk (Guess I'm a NOED "Noob" huh?) Why can't we get an honest look into how they're going to play instead of being downright lied to? Guess I'll always have to run Lightborn just in case.
ya you can have this change to where it locks our characters in when we get into the lobby so we cant change characters when we can see the killer and his add-ons se we dont have to deal with the clown with exhaustion add-ons or a micheal with tombstone and unlimited tier 3 and thier toxicness.

ALSO if you cant look for a game in the regular way go into SWF by yourself and search for a game it has worked a few times for me

Unless this entire statement was "satirical in nature" or just being tossed into the thin air. Mostly the "your probabaly a killer main who loves yelling at survivors or asking them to farm" part.
As I said, no need for insults. Especially baseless ones.
ok well im sorry i forgot about that truly but it still doesnt mean you should go to posts especially a non game changing one like this one that is only trying to stop all the toxicity after matches on console since i killer can spam you along with other survivors with messages saying your trash when you were the one who escaped through the hatch and survived past everyone else

As someone that plays both sides, here's what I consider to be toxic and/or scummy in nature (mostly in game actions, but a few are pre/post-game lobby things):T-bagging. As others have said, there's no good reason for it, other than to be rude. If you really want to show your superiority? Do something productive, or use one of the other emotes. One survivor I was playing at as the huntress actually did that really well: I aimed a hatchet at her, she waited until I threw it, stopped working on the generator, then went back to the generator and worked on it for a few more seconds until I got closer. Far better in every way (of even ticking me off a bit, but props, that was ballsy and impressive) than a quick few t-bags before running.
Hook farming other survivors. There's been a whole other thread on it, but in my opinion, hook farming other survivors is more or less the worst. As a killer, of course I'm going to go after the unhooked target (unless you are also wounded, and/or I'm running "make your choice"....which I don't have. Yet.), since it's the objectively better move. Does it feel good for anyone except the troll though? No.
Abusing DC (and hook suicide, but to a much lesser degree). This one personally ticks me off. Most of the time it's on the survivor side, both because of raw numbers, and because players that play killers usually won't DC on purpose because, hey, they're the host. Or at least I figure that's the mindset (It's mine, more or less). Survivors don't care as much. I won't get into it as much, but I've had many survivors abuse the DC mechanics for varying reasons. To protect an ultra rare (very rare? I don't remember. Either way..) item and addons, because they got caught first, or to simply deny the killer points. That last one (especially combined with the fact that they then were taunting me in the post-game lobby) really gets me, because there's no real reason for it, other than to piss someone else off. Killers don't DC as often, but especially if we survivors burnt offerings? Very rude. Even if you don't like the map, don't DC. Just in general, don't DC, eh? AC is far better. That was a bad electricity pun, please excuse me, I've been writing this for a while now.
Being Rude/etc in the pre/post game lobby. Others have covered this enough, really. Combine it with a deliberate DC, and taunting someone in the post game lobby....that's just rude.
Waiting at the gate. You know what I mean. Survivors open the gate, and stand there t-bagging, waiting for the killer to come. No purpose other than to be rude. Just leave, honestly. Or go back in and try and find an item, I've done that a few times. Or the hatch. I mean, if you've won to such a degree you're wanting to t-bag, just end the game. Like other's have said, it isn't like killers have a concede button.
Sandbagging fellow survivors. Just because you're a solo player, and you don't think "this is a team game" doesn't mean you should go out of your way to ruin someone else's day. Actually, that's most of this list, now that I think about it.
That's about it, at the moment. Flashlight spam is annoying, but not the worst thing in the world (on the other hand, I have speakers because I don't have headphones at the moment. Might be worse for headphone users). Now, that's not to say that's everything that irritates me in the game...no, that list is much longer. But those come from game mechanics, being outplayed, etc. Those are fine, at the end of the day. Things I need to work around, and simply get better at the game. But the list above? Those are things that, in my opinion, you should just outright not see.
At the end of the day, this is a game. And games, as the name implies, should be fun. The game itself is fun. The majority (by a small percentage) of the community is fun to play with/against. But the items above? I doubt anyone would be able to say truthfully that they're fun.
(EDIT: formatting)
nothing is as bad as overwatch though

Yeah that's really fun, being slugged on the ground in a minute because you're basically exploiting a broken system. A+.Like survivors don't exploit enough for wins? Just sayin lol

Just because one Perk is a meme strat doesn't mean another that actually takes skill should be nerfed so that it doesn't regen during the time when it's the most needed.

I've been trying to design one of those "150% movement speed" Perks for a while. One that isn't an unfunny meme like SB and Lithe, but one that's more consistent than, say, Balanced Landing, whose potential is obviously a lot greater on a Crotus Prenn map than on a Coldwind Farm map.I think I got an idea.
Sweet Freedom: After being freed or escaping from a bear trap or meathook, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for 3 seconds if you are within the Killer's terror radius or enter it 3/5/7 seconds after being freed. Causes Exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
What do you think? Does this sound good?
would definatley counter being camped and give you a chance i would run this with dead hard, self care, and DS (before its nerf) then id run some other perk but i love this design

Gives you time to search for the hatch as long as you've done 2 gens. I've done that before then spun around and around to alert the other Survivors of it. One got the hatch in the end, so was worthwhile imo. No 4k for Mr Killer, and yes, he was salty AF in post-game. Oh the lulz. :chuffed:i was slugged as the other last survivor was chased and while he was chased i found the hatch and he got downed and hooked but he was in the struggle phase and kept struggling even though i went in a circle the killer found me as he died and picked me up there was no hooks around and i was able to struggle off and escape through the hatch but i could of gotten the hatch faster if he would of killed himself. i would personally like it if everyone knew that spining around in a circle when the hatch could of spawned ment you found the hatch but not everyone knows this but you were probably on coms or swf so its fine its just sometimes people want the 800 extra points i think thats the ammount for struggling.

i would be okay with this its just a little hard to mess with perks and have everyone agree but i would be fine with this change

Gen tapping has been a thing since Ruin was put in the game. Supposedly the devs said it's a legitimate counterstrategy though, so expect it to be there forever. It completely negates a Perk, and it doesn't slow down gen progression much at all if done properly.People are burning their BNPs now since the Devs announced the possible change to them. Not that it's actually going live, it'll be in the PTB no doubt, and considering the fuss already going around it'll never make it to a live build. A nice change I would like to see would simply be, that you only need to get two stacks worth 50%. It would be nice to have something else to it than only points, but I wouldn't mind if they didn't introduce a change to that. If they did however, I would like something simple. It shouldn't be game changing.I thought about something that could catch unaware Killer's off guard and generally help with unhooking survivors. Whenever you would unhook a person, it doesn't give the Killer the audio notification, so no explosion happens. You of course still see the person is freed and returned to the injured state, but there is simply no audio cue.
good idea

I'm sure there is a thread somewhere, but I don't know where it is. So I'm just going to put my two cents here.My concern with the exhaustion changes is that sure the chase is probably going on too long if the survivor has gotten their exhaustion perk back twice in a chase. However, ultimately it's the killer who's initiating the chase 9/10 times. If the survivor can run them around that long, shouldn't it be on the killer to stop chasing that person until they're in a less desirable location and/or go protect gens?
If killers want to respect pallets and not break them, that can eat a lot of valuable time as good survivors will run around that pallet until Bloodlust 9000 eventually gets them or they get their exhaustion perk back or the killer decides to cave and break the pallet. Like you want us to break the chase and hide, but we can't really do that unless they get stunned/break the pallet as there's usually not enough time to put enough distance between you and the killer.
I also don't necessarily think it's fair to punish every exhaustion perk for one perk being a huge problem. If you ride someone's butt who has dead hard they will use it eventually and then you can hit them (if it doesn't already hit them because Dead Hard isn't the most consistent perk). Balanced Landing is 90% map dependent and can easily be avoid by forcing survivors to go to an area that doesn't have a drop down. Lithe can be awkward with what is considered a chase and again if there are not any immediately accessible vaults survivors won't get it. And then adrenaline needs to have all the gens be done. All of these other exhaustion perks have lots of counter play options to them. Sprint Burst does not. But because of the one bad perk, all others are being punished. That does not seem fair.
Ultimately I just do not think it's a wise choice to nerf survivors because of the complaints of killers who make poor choices during a chase. I also think survivors should be rewarded for being able to run the killer around for a long time as it's not that easy.
Sprint burst needed this nerf. I will agree that maybe lithe and others dont need such a hard nerf but SB definitely did. pallet loop and gen rush are a serious problem. The fact that you suggest killers give up a chase tells me ur a survivor main. BNP, gen rush with pallet lopping and SB or Lithe prolong the game to obsurd lengths in the meta. Once they devs prolong the games and prevent such hard camping on the killer side then this game will be a much less frustrating game to play
preach it sister lol i am a hard survivor main and think this was needed but small changes need to be made like killer induced exhaustian (Clown, huntress, billy, cannibal) should be able to go down in a chase because say you run ballance landing and are not next to a drop when the chase starts but can run him with pallets to a drop but due to the "clown" throwing a bottle that your forced to go threw add exhaustion for 30 sec that doesnt go down cause your in a chase so i think that killer induced exhaustion should go down to allow thier exhaustion perks to not be too op. killers like pig, doctor, and other few i cant think of have a unlimited exhaustion which is understandable because its harder to get these but for the clown all he has to do is get you into his bubble.

Adrenaline:Adrenaline is triggered when the last generator is repaired. Why is the perk triggered when you're carried by the killer?
This gives some negative points
- The killer sees that the survivor has adrenaline (through the display on the left)
- If you are rescued from the hook, you no longer have any advantage from adrenaline, since the perk was already triggered in the situation before.
Is that right, or should we change it?
Adrenaline activates the first moment after the Exit Gates are open and you are FREE TO MOVE (running, walking, crawling, performing an action you can cancel). If you are DISABLED (hooked, being carried), it will be PUT ON HOLD, and will activate THE MOMENT YOU ARE FREED.
Why the actual hell is this even a post? Did you not read the wiki?
https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Adrenaline
It states that Adrenaline will heal you if you're on the hook and it should've activated. It also states that this IS TRUE AND DOES APPLY IF YOU ARE ON THE KILLER'S SHOULDER, MEANING THAT IF YOU'RE BEING CARRIED, IT WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT UNLESS YOU WIGGLE OUT. IF THE KILLER HOOKS YOU, IF YOU WERE BEING CARRIED WHEN ADRENALINE ACTIVATED, THEN IT WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT.
Just read the damn wiki.if your saying it triggers while being carried then yes i aggree

Yes, it's a powerful perk, but only in certain situations. I just wanted to know if you've had similar experiences. I was just wondering, and I'd never experienced that before.I don't think the perk should be deactivated when a survivor is carried by the killer. The perk is taken to get an advantage, in this situation you don't get an advantage and can't change anything. In my opinion, adrenaline should be triggered after the hook rescue

happens to me all the time i will be on the killers shoulder and it activates wasting it and then telling my team that i escaped from his grasp as in saying in the bottom corner i went from dying state to injured when im in carried state

i feel like if your being carried by the killer and adrenaline goes off you should be able to like stun him jump off his shoulder and have the speed boost still.

With all the hooks in the game it becomes pretty dfficult to wiggle free without the help of sabotage. Ive been playing another game that is similar to DbD and the 'hooks' stay broken because there are already alot and basement hooks stay forever. Its kind of annoying that sabotage by itself takes so long. You may want to clear an area of some hooks where you will be working, and that definitely takes away generator time. Youd think it may be worth it then, but the hooks automatically respawn after a short while. I think because of this is why you never see anyone making use of sabotage. On top of that, not too long ago, Hangmans Trick was added... but who actually uses it? youre hooks already respawn for you so thats two perks based around sabotage that were basically made for giggles because theyre not realy needed. Hooks respawn on their own by the time you broke enough in the area to be safe, the first one you broke already reappeared. I think it takes away from the expansive methods of gameplay. It's brought to everyones attenrion that there arent enough side objectives, just gen rushing.. well, this is why. everything else seems like a waste of time and is for no reason because the game undoes it in the killers favor anyway. Now Survivors will just work on generators because its the only thing worthwhile.in another game they made it to where the killer could always see hooks and in order for them to respawn the killer had to fix them which i thought was pretty cool. it doesnt take long but enough to make him stop to fix it instead of just letting it respawn by itself and maybe hangmans trick could reduce the time it takes to fix them

Its really not that hard to do.The vacuum for the killer pick up was taken away just as the pallet vacuum was, to make it fair. There is little to no vacuum at all now.
Plus, the pallet hit box is still stupidly large. Hit so many killers I shouldn't have and have gotten stunned by so many pallets that shouldn't have.
ok first saying its not hard to do is a opinion not a fact. the vacuum for the killer was halfway fixed and they left a little unlike the survivor who they completely got rid of all the vacuum. and the pallet hit box is not stupidly large if it stuns you when your touching it when it falls i'm just suggesting a change here that would make it possible to pallet save every time because the killer can suck the survivor with his remaining vacuum he can suck them out just enough to be able to move in-time. would it be fair if a survivor could pull down a pallet halfway threw? no? ok then. killers can easily dodge the pallets and if they allow a survivor to crawl to one then it should be their fault

I’m so happy you can’t change names on PS4. There are quite a few toxic people and they are easily avoided because the feature you suggest doesn’t exist.are you being sarcastic im sorry i can't tell since i am not hearing this IRL

That is almost a completely separate thing from the game.We change names using Steam, which is the platform PC users use to play DBD.
Changing your name would have to come in the form of your Xbox gamer-tag or PS4 username, not from the game itself.
Plus it would be a fruitless endeavor even if they could.
Also, this game does not have dedicated servers. Which has a great affect one what they can and cannot do with information and data.
yeah but its 9.99 every time i want to change my gamer tag what i am suggesting is not that hard and dedicated servers doesn't matter and have anything to do with this change. they added into the game where people can click on your name and go to your profile they can add an option that disables this as well as making a little entry point in the settings that allows you to change what your in-game name says. and no it wouldnt be fruitless it would stop toxic people from complaining after a match saying im trash because i didnt save them even know leatherface was camping with the chansaw or other killers are asking to farm and calling me a hacker cause their internet is so bad they cant hit me. it would also make it to where you dont have to change your name on steam everytime you want to change your name and idk if people can click on your name on steam but it would stop them from clicking on it. and you can still report people with the button they added next to peoples thing after-game. i have seen this option in othergames i have played in the past.

I would prefer they make it work like Up The Ante, but it only applies to you and not everyone. So it would be: For each other survivor still alive, gain 1/2/3% increased speed bonus to repair, healing and sabotage actions. At tier 3 that means:
3 allies alive = 9% action speed bonus.
2 allies alive = 6% action speed bonus.
1 ally alive = 3% action speed bonus.
0 allies alive = the perk is made null. This not only makes the perk far more usable, but it promotes good altruism because the user will want to work to keep their allies alive in order to maximize its use.
love it

The issue is that the game is currently using a "host" system, meaning if the host leaves by stopping his internet connection (or closing app on console) its as if the game never happend. They are working on getting dedicated servers up and running but this is a very new development so we will probably be waiting awhile. They need to simply punish people who DC. Personally I don't get killers who DC but I do see plenty of survivors. The act of DCing ruins everyone's fun.
i was once in a game where the obsession stold me DS and got found first and dced as soon as he was downed

Will we get double bp too?I don't believe there's double bloodpoints during the event, although the event offerings will reward heaps of bloodpoints for doing the event objectives (only if you burn an event offering). There will be a double bloodpoint event later this summer, IIRC.
they allready did a double bloodpoint event sadly that i missed maybe if they do another i would be fine but the event basically ends when summer ends

I don't believe this was the case with the lunar new year event, and this seems to follow the same lines, so I don't think the basement hooks will be included.Might be for the best. I get that they can't be sabotaged, but sometimes the basement ends up in such an awkward spot that getting someone down there would be difficult (without perks).
it wasnt the cause with the lunar event that 2 of the special hooks and gens spawned without offerings but they changed it. i think the hooks in the basement could be a good idea since i saw a problem with survivors easily doing the event gens but survivors sabotaging the killer hooks and unless you farm for killer perks unlike me your just screwed
