No, the "lullaby" sounds exactly like his outer terror radius. Tested it in a KYF, and it basically sounds like he has around a 32-meter terror radius.

Maybe it’s his narcissism: a Bluetooth speaker in his pocket playing one of his tunes on repeat.

  • Hag, and I’m just gonna leave it at that because I’m sure everybody is sick of me going on and on about Hag 🤣

So I was playing a regular game as a Clown. I got a 4k and god forbid, I read the end game chat. I would post it here on the forums to show you, but I do not know how to edit to blur out the names. Anyway the following conversation went like this... (P.S. Dwight is just the survivor he played as not the actual name tag)

    Me: GG

    Dwight: GG indeed daddy clown

    Me: ?

Dwight: whats wrong, I'm just giving you a compliment

Dwight: I loved it when you gave me that W.E.D.G.I.E when you hooked me

    Me: #########

And it went on from there but.... ain't gonna say it

Yeah I know what you mean.

I love this game, but I don’t get it, and will never understand the sexualisation of some of its characters, particularly the killers.

    It’s repulsive.

Different strokes for different folks and all, but blood, gore, knives, and poor skin complexion giving players boners is incredibly bizarre to me.

It sounds very unhealthy for one’s mind, both because of the content of the character they’re fantasising about, and secondly because it’s impossible to ever have the kind of interaction they fantasise about having.

  • They’ve already said they’re going to be doing something about keys. They hinted that keys will somehow influence, or have an effect on how the new implementation of Mori’s in the base game will interact.

My guess is that keys brought into a trial, or found in chests, will make it easier for killers to meet the conditions necessary to Mori survivors.

I’m also pretty sure they hinted they were going to make some small adjustments to the hatch. Just be patient.

Unless you get sent to Hawkins or the new Resident Evil map, as Huntress

Huntress player after chapter release: “man it’s going to be so fun first game with Lethal Pursuer & CI to snipe someone from right across the map. Better use a MacMillan offering.”

    4 R.C.P.D. Badges pop up.

Huntress stands in corner and sobs.

  • @DwightFairfield said:

These perks activate once and then don't reactivate for the rest of the game

Why run them if you don't get any more use out of them once the time is up? Especially if you run both.

Because you don’t actually NEED to pressure 4 survivors DIRECTLY at once. (Seemingly) Killers fail to realise the amount of indirect/domino effect pressure on the other 3 survivors simply by someone else being injured, downed, hooked, or helping feed a killers power.

Killers are (again, seemingly) failing to see the bigger picture when it comes to these 2 perks brief activation periods, particularly in regards to Lethal Pursuer. Even being an excellent guesser of likely survivor spawn locations can still lead to mistakes whereby the survivors in fact spawned only a few tiles next to, or behind the killer. Meaning much time early game was wasted. Lethal Pursuer’s brief 7 seconds can potentially lead to exponentially growing momentum as the match progresses simply because the killer knew exactly where to go to get into their first chase (or do whatever is critical to start their pressure game).

Think of the times as killer you have been lucky to stumble across a survivor straight away, and get a down super quick. Most of the time this heavily sways the remainder of the match in the killers favour simply because that’s 1 survivor temporarily not able to assist objectives right at the start.

The brief 7 second activation of Lethal Pursuer is the most irrelevant aspect for players to be focusing on. What’s important is that the perk helps engineer the above mentioned circumstance, which has a big over arching impact on the remainder of the trial.

7 seconds. (Potentially) big impact on the whole trial.

Hey! I’m trying out some builds like healing build, hook build, hero build, etc. Can someone help me w a gen build. I want to pair two with poised and repressed alliance. If you have a full build I’d like to hear!

Also I am using Self care, botany, adrenaline and oof the record. Should I swap botany and self care for iron will and calm spirit to be hidden?

I play survivor most so throw any build you know. I need some help haha.

Nothing wrong with leaving on Self Care with Botany. At least you can take more protection hits, and you have a useful healing buff when helping teammates.

There's nothing wrong with any characters on this game. You have to learn them, and you will become more successful each game you play. It's really that simple. Demanding a handout is unreasonable, when it's within your power to get the results you desire.

No one is asking for handouts in regards to Hag. In fact she also needs some buffs, not just nerfs. Being able to destroy traps with Flashlights needs to go.

How about you dial down on the elitism, and respect the player. They may not be so experienced, or could be trying something new.

Advice and help is good. Attitude of "do people have brains"...... makes your avatar incredibly appropriate for you.

I didn’t mean for it to come across that way. I’m just genuinely exasperated as to why someone would use Tinkerer on Legion. Not having any control over when Undetectable activates leaves the player open to it happening mid Frenzy, which I perceive as being bad.

The issue here is that KI isn't accurate for precise tracking because it only updates once a second, and so a good survivor can move very slightly and dodge your narrow POTD if you predict where they'd be if they kept running. IAE is just more consistent and the cooldown isn't usually an issue.

Of course IAE is going to be better. I just feel it was clever/nice that there was thought put into the purpose as to why PH has Killer Instinct in his base kit.

  • @lucid4444 said:

People just run to the nearest loop or pallet... which sometimes are nearby gens. Instead of sticking around and crying at the survivor for 'bringing him to you', just go to another gen. Not everyone has bond so how would they know where everyone and everything is?

That’s not an acceptable excuse, especially when Ruin is up. In most cases, not all, but most, the gen lights can be seen before getting anywhere near a loop. It’s not ok for teammates to not be paying attention to that, and not considering whether they’re being worked on not.

That's quite the logical leap but I'm prone to said leaps as well.

I just think there are a bunch of situations where the aura reveal is redundant and you'd be better off running other perks is all. Maybe the cooldown could stand to be reduced to 30 seconds? Having it up permanently would be absurd though.

    Fair enough.

Personally, I think information in this game is always valuable, even if it can’t be acted upon immediately.

I love how Legion Feral Frenzy doesnt work with Noed because 130% speed instant down is so powerful.

While Spirit phasing out instant down with 176% speed is allowed. Same to Nurse blink.

That’s because unless Spirit or Nurse are using Infectious Fright, they’re not getting a moving, trackable notification of anybody else nearby they could also insta down.

It's good to practice Survivors movement when you first start playing him. Otherwise I'd say it's quite overrated.

I manage hits trough walls even without it because I get the feel of where Survivors are. It's not 100 % confirmed as it is with IaE but I'd call myself a decent PH as I am not reliant on it. Another reason is that I dislike the Perk because of it's 40 second cooldown. If they halfed the cooldown I'd probably use it more but at the moment it's not worth it personally.

I'd rather go with slowdown/tracking for more consistent wins.

With the way his power is designed, isn’t the design intention supposed to be that PH tries to force a survivor though a trench, so that he can then track them with Killer Instinct behind obstructions, and get accurate PoTD hits?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Yes but more often than not the cooldown will make you wonder why you're even bothering using it.

This implies you believe a survivors aura should be revealed every time they perform a rushed action within the 48m range.

Please tell I’m wrong. Surely this is not what you think would be fair.

If you're playing killer, and camping the hatch against the last person alive. Does that count as holding the game hostage? You're forcing them to do Gen's revealing their position or they give up and try to get hatch. But since the game can technically still end if they were to do Gen's, does that count as holding the game hostage?

No because you’re letting the survivor do generators without interference.

  • It’s one of the reasons I use Sole Survivor. IAE is such a pain against PH.

  • Yeah I like doing this on Doc with Overcharge and Oppression

My understanding is that Michael still believes that they’re related.

  • No Mither + Iron Will + Fixated.

Its very satisfying confusing a Spirit by not being where she thinks you’ll be when she reappears, and can’t be sure where you went.

Plus I think it'd look both horrifying and hilarious to have Victor dressed up as a chicken, having a bunch of red feathers messily glued on to him along with a fake beak just chasing people down and having a trail of feathers following behind him as he ran.

The last thing I need is my childhood destroyed by nightmares of Kazooie emerging from a gash in Banjo’s chest.

My thoughts are that a discussion surrounding such a question might only manifest further division amongst the community.

Don't be sad. Nostalgia doesn't always reflect reality.

I was just thinking this the other day. With Undetectable & Oblivious Status Effects in the game now, with defined rules around them, could old Freddy even work in current DBD?

One of the more niche, yet useful aspects of old Freddy was that awake survivors were unable to read Freddy’s aura. Of course now if old Freddy made a return this could only be done if he were Undetectable. Except you can’t have the game be that Freddy is Undetectable to just select survivors (awake ones). Which means awake Survivors would have to be Oblivious, but then that means this means Freddy’s aura can’t be obscured to awake survivors either.

Anyway, not a MAJOR issue, but something that popped into my head recently.

  • @Lambch0p said:

I keep seeing all these discussions about old Freddy and they kinda make me sad because I never got a chance to play old Freddy. Which killer is currently the most like him? From what I can tell Plague and Nemesis seem the most similar but is there anyone else who has a similar play style to old Freddy?

You took the words right out of my mouth. Currently Plague is the MOST similar to old Freddy because her early game strategy is almost identical to that of old Freddy’s.

With old Freddy (because his power was about delay and getting survivors to waste HUGE amounts of time constantly waking themselves up) it was important to NOT focus on chasing the first survivor you spot. If you were serious about getting good with him and winning it was critical to get all 4 survivors asleep ASAP, and then repeat this cycle whenever you noticed LESS than 2 survivors asleep, even if it meant abandoning a chase (unless you were about to down them, in which case you slug).

Similarly it is critical for Plague to get all 4 survivors into the initial stages of infection as early in the trial as possible. So again, like old Freddy, using a “run n gun” method, and infecting gens as she passes then. If I can’t hit a survivor I spot directly with vile purge because they’re quite crafty and using LoS blockers, then i’ll infect the vaults and pallets at loops during the chase, and force the survivor to use one, even if it means eating a pallet stun. Then i’ll abandon the chase to find another survivor because as far as I’m concerned the survivor is now already injured.

  • Yes he does.

If Wraith is managing free hits without approaching via LoS blockers, that’s the survivors being dumb, not a Wraith issue.

    This.

The only reason nobody complains about her is because she's played so rarely.

If Hag became popular I'm not sure I'd even play DBD anymore lol

    Same.

If I suddenly started seeing Hag as often as Spirit, Freddy, Blight, and Huntress, I probably would never play survivor ever again.

Which means I wouldn’t be playing DBD anywhere near as often because sometimes I’m just not in the mood to play Killer.

But MaIn StReAm StRiMmUrS say it is bad and hurts your team more than it helps them.

It just costs you 2 bad skillcheck to make it the same as vanilla and at 5 stacks it is super good. Still, it is a gamble due to rng nature of skillcheck.

Had a game recently where I've got 4 stacks on a single heal, less than 2 minutes into the game.

Actually, the more slowdowns killer uses to make healing longer the stronger autididact is.

The negative effect on low token count actually allows you to get more tokens in a single heal, so... Yeah.

Hurts the team how?! That’s so silly. Only the first 2 skill checks have a negative.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

Wish it worked with self healing although I have heard some people say that would be op apparently

It would be OP though. Same if it applied to med kits because of the needle/suture add ons. Tokens would be gained far too quickly. 5 Autodidact tokens is very powerful when healing teammates.

  • @KingFrost said:

    Use Repressed Alliance, geez.

    Exactly

  • @Sluzzy said:

As someone that despises POP, this perk has my attention. My hate probably stems from a Freddy effortlessly transferring to the survivor objective and removing a lot of objective progress with little effort.

This has got me to thinking….as fun as this perk will be, why does it not prevent the regression? It falls short and it is extremely weak when you think about it. A killer kicking the gen triggers an explosion.  This perk will be fun but it hardly does anything in regards to objective. It needs to do more than what it does.

Kicking the gen sets off the explosion but it shouldn’t regress or have the additional effects of POP or other killer perks. The perk should be buffed so the killer has to kick the gen twice if they really want it to regress. This will make the perk actually worthy and not simply for memes and fun factor only.

Killers don’t use their meta perks for the memes. They use them for an overwhelming advantage to put the match totally in their favor.  Blast Mine does nothing to help survivors other than it is for fun.

You’re (seemingly) misunderstanding the purpose of Blast Mine.

It’s not meant to prevent the killer interfering with gen progress. It’s for those times the killer is on their way to the gen, the survivor hides as best they can with the little available time to do so, killer kicks gen, now everybody that was nearby now has an opportunity to escape and get a big head start on the killer (unless Lightborn is a counter to the blind).

  • @Northener1907 said:

Not just ruin, all hex totems will be. Because survivors are so lazy for search totems and there was already good 2 totem find perks.

After this perk if we see any complain about "NOED"... 😂

I don’t think Counterforce will be the problem many killers are panicking about.

Firstly, Ye survivor needs to find their first totem. Sometimes that’ll be easy, sometimes that could take half the match.

Secondly, the revealed totem shown to the survivor upon first cleanse will be the furthest available totem, and this might be just another dull totem.

Thirdly, because the survivor has to do a lot of leg work to get all 5 totems via Counterforce, this leaves the survivor open to many opportunities to be spotted by the killer, and subsequently chased. Not unless the survivor delays the game substantially by creeping around the perimeter of the map to reach each revealed totem.

    I'll wait

Well if you were Nurse, then you HAD access to Stridor...

Also Bloodhound is a great counter as well, and one perk many survivors never expect, or suspect. An Iron Will user will get very confused as to how you were constantly easily finding them when they can hear you don’t have Stridor, not until the post match results screen anyway.

Sorry for the dumb question, but Google hasn't helped.

I usually play Myers with an EWII M&A + Dead Rabbit build (other perks are usually Nurse, BBQ, and NOED, plus any stalk-related addon) that only uses EWIII as a novelty when it's convenient. This seems to work pretty well (I'm starting to gain ranks after a good bit of practice), but now I want to try learning Mikey's Mori addons, and I'm confused.

Imagine my disappointment when I equip Tombstone Piece, find an idiot who's not paying attention on his gen, immediately 99% within two minutes of starting the game, and then down another guy with my EWIII lunge, only to find out that I apparently can't Mori someone on the ground.

Except you can. I know you can, because it's happened to me on numerous occasions. Hasn't it? The animation of Myers stabbing a slugged survivor to death is etched into my retinas. Am I remembering things wrong? If not, why is there no prompt to Mori someone when they're on the ground? What's going on here?

They’re meant to be hard to work with because the outcome is very powerful they nice it’s active.

  • Could they do it without making his inclusion corny?

Dracula could potentially feel very cheesy in a game like this.

Its meant to help you get away not be a nuisance. Anyone else have this experience? Or just me?

This, or waste endurance by being cocky and intentionally running into the killer. It’s completely dumb, and makes it almost JUST as easy for the killer to tunnel the unhooked survivor as though they didn’t have endurance at all.

Are you a dev of dbd? Your reply is so matter of fact that I feel like this is your game.

Imo, generator interaction and looking out for the killer should be more of a balance. As it is now, the generator interaction is an annoying slight distraction that is done while looking out for the killer. Add in, without certain killer addons, it makes a notification sound when you should glance back at it.

You're making it out like I'm asking for it to be a sweaty af mini game. I'm not! But it should be a little more engaging for the players that have and are mastering the game. The whole objective of the game as survivors is to fix generators. After a few hrs of playing, that main objective takes little to no concentration.

Honestly it was just a suggestion to slow the gens down without adding more time to it or buffing this and nerfing that...Also making it a little more engaging and a little more challenging for the higher ranks. But apparently "I don't know the purpose of skill checks" soooooo excuse me for adding a suggestion into the mix

    I didn’t say you didn’t know.

    I asked a question.

You know what punctuation is? (Again, this is a question)

  • Blood Pact is fine. It doesn’t need a buff. It’s not suboptimal working together if you make chases harder for the killer with the haste status.

A poorly thought out solution, but what did we actually expect?

No no no. You have it all wrong. The HATCH will be the Mori: it will close halfway through the jumping animation, severing the survivor in two.
