Essentially the whole game. But, for lack of time, I'm going to have to say it's predominantly fixes and so forth. BHVR is absolutely atrocious at listening to community feedback, and are too invested in ripping us off with licensed chapters with lowly killers like Nemesis to even care about ongoing issues that have existed since nearly beta release however many years ago. Not to mention the 'thank you' gifts they give are measly... a handful of shards and a minute amount of BP? You might as well drop 9-18K shards for the number and magnitude of issues we've been facing recently.
-
I would not like an anime/manga chapter. That is the end of the story.

You can have an opinion without being condescending and looking down on others.
Oh wow... can you really? Sounds like someone just purposefully misconstrues everything because they like to victimise themselves while demonising others. Fun fact kiddo: I wasn't being 'condescending' in the slightest. Guess you just want it that way.

Saying K-pop or anime is "disgusting" because of the fanboys is just wrong.
I get it if the style isn't your tea, but at least say it's the fandom that's problematic. I don't listen to K-pop but this is how I see things. I don't mind the genre itself.
Mate, your name is DrStone. That would scare most people. People are entitled to their opinions, and that's mine. It's fair, it has foundation, but ultimately (and most incremental of all), it's my own.
-
Great you're finally acknowledging me, but one quick question...
Why is this not in off-topic?
-
Yeah, I really don't like this post... it's all well and good to try and acknowledge the DEVs and art teams, who have already been so many times before, but you have to remember that these are their jobs. Their jobs, and they can't even do them right... what does that tell you?
-
This is a horrendous idea. Having stackable cakes is the only thing that keeps me even minimally content during these otherwise hollow events.

Curtain Call or A Lullaby For the Dark.
Clown is really quite bland, Campbell's didn't blow my mind spare its lore implications, and Kate was quite boring to me... As for Lullaby, I've never particularly fancied Huntress' rather monotone playstyle, and David is also pretty disinteresting. Red Forest is quite good however.

All-kill is still more iconic than most chapters and Yun-Jin is an extremely well liked and played survivor sorry you didn't get your faves maybe next time xoxo
What is your problem? @GeneralV were simply giving their opinion on the matter, and the matter that was requested as per the thread creator's intentions. What makes you think your garbage excuse of an 'opinion' matters more than another person's? Please, just quit it.

All-Kill but only because there was no map and the Trickster didn't feel good to play at the start.
Other then that I really do love that DBD did a celeb psycho killer. Why everyone hates it because its k-pop theme is beyond me. I don't listen to K-Pop myself but still a cool concept.
Makes me wonder if it was not k-pop if the chapter would have been more popular.
I honestly don't blame them. I didn't mind All-Kill, but K-Pop is of the same calibre as anime: quite overhyped and almost disgusting in essence, given its track record for that 'fanboy' attitude and the flamboyant nature of the music. I don't particularly fancy over-the-top, dramatised pop, so I can see where problems arise.

Trapper's traps are pretty well hidden on the staircases in Gideon, if you'd be interested in trying that out. I think he definitely deserves some better add-ons to make his gameplay more exciting though.
Gideon is my hellscape. The only game I've done great in it is a recent match with Ghostface (somehow)... but, if I ever feel for some reason that running Trapper is a viable option, I'll see through to it. Cheers mate.
-
I want to be able to play Trapper again, but it just feels like running a tutorial slasher whereby there is no benefits that factor into a real game... traps are so avoidable, and he has no other significant abilities to boast. Just so bland.
-
Killers should definitely be able to determine, if not vaguely, the magnitude of the match that is about to go underway. For Survivors, knowing who the Killer is can be as easy as playing twenty seconds of a trial, and besides, SWFs would be able to abuse this to gain numerous new advantages over the Killer; there is already enough power in SWFs that it sounds awful to have Survivors know exactly who they're going against. That being said, it could be viable for solo queues to get their own separate lobby where the Killer is shown (although that doesn't exactly prevent randoms from hopping on a discord call or a party chat on console and acting like a SWF-minded group anyway)...
-

Yes. Even tho most chicken out and dodge.
However, Names and Profiles should be hidden. There is no reason gameplay-wise to show them.
I use Xbox profiles to gauge roughly whether or not a player has avid experience in the game, therefore tailoring my play to how I can counter that experience. Not that meaningless to have on deck.
-
I bought Blight outright on my new Xbox account (which I now play) having ample experience with him elsewhere. Rest assured, I choked my first and only match with him so far (many other matches saw Survivors DCing during matchmaking), and just couldn't get the grip on his rushes on controller... I'm sure it gets much easier with practice, but just from my limited experience, I've only levelled him for Undying... quite painful in your early matches, I'd say... I'm saving my shards (only about 4.9K) for Oni or Deathslinger now, and I'm totally unsure of who I'll pick... on one hand, Oni looks incredibly fun and may be thrilling to use with his Demon Dashes, but on the other, Deathslinger looks like a nice and easy-to-play Killer with a unique power.
-
Franklin's is not a bad perk by a landslide. It is a handy-dandy perk when you need to efficiently drain Survivor items, especially when facing off against toxic, flashlight-spamming SWFs and so on. The fact that you have the perk as your profile picture almost feels like bait to me...

I would say that is the best thing for you to do for sure but eventually I would recommend trying to get corrupt, it really can be a lifesaver and game changing perk, imo.
Yeah, I'd bet it would be. Only problem I have with Corrupt is that it isn't a re-triggerable/accessible perk outside of its game-start mechanics. It's for similar reasons I dislike Lethal Pursuer; I just don't see a reason for running a perk that dissipates so early on in a game. That being said, Ruin is a Hex, and Hexes can be broken just as quickly as they activate. And Lethal isn't amazing because any good killer knows how to locate Survivors efficiently anyway. Corrupt, on the other hand, I can see being quite effective: preventing access from the three major gen spawns, and forcing Survivors further into the centre of the map. That certainly trumps something like Ruin, if I'm being frank.

@BabuDweet said:

Completely agree, corrupt is my go to perk for killer in general.
It sucks you gotta pretty much keep in mind slowdown perks even while experimenting with builds but unfortunately that is the state of the game atm.
I don't have Plague so grinding for Corrupt is not a reality right now... just working toward Ruin, because it's frankly better than running just a regression perk like Overcharge or Eruption, or even keeping Tremors on with no assistive perk...
-
Honestly, you can't tell between a purposeful and uncontrollable DC. In my books, a DC is usually committed by a Survivor who is downed twice or put on hook too many times for their toxic little brains to handle, and even then, it's usually clear that they are DCing out of anger (an unjustified anger) and not because of connectivity issues. On the other hand, Killers rarely disconnect, but I wouldn't condone forceful Killer DCs either. At the end of the day, if you're going to rage quit over a game, you shouldn't be playing in the first place.
Take my first Nemesis game, for example. I spent the whole game trying to hit Tentacle Strikes while all five gens went flying in my face. I was up against the most toxic, tea-bagging Survivors who thought it best to spam flashlight and body-block at even the most pointless intervals. I couldn't hit the strikes because I play on Xbox now so of course every time I fire one, the game freezes, lags and the Survivor I'm chasing is effortlessly able to dodge it. Regardless, I didn't DC, and treated it as a learning curve. A learning curve where I was taught one lesson: Don't play Nemesis until BHVR fixes their ######### game.
-
Horrible map. Just had my first game there on Xbox as Ghostface. Extremely unstable; every corner was laggy, Survivors bunched up around one of the countless floors and the amount of bends, corridors and entryways are horrible. I swear there's like four dead-ends on the map. It shouldn't be that hard to secure even a kill. Not even enough space for stalking half the time... I have to rely on whatever rubble or lockers or the top interior level of the main hub just to 99% a Survivor with Ghostie...
And some people think this map fair? Ludicrous, absolutely ludicrous...

You said the Killers were inherently bad. Many people think Trapper is unplayable, certainly not S tier yet, a skilled player can win with him.
No. Most people deem Trapper the second-worst Killer next to Trickster.
-
I don't know... 'Tier' is pretty subjective... T-Virus is extremely slow, and even given his ability to anti-loop, he just feels so... sluggish
-
Gen tapping is rarely a problem for me... maybe I just kick gens that often mid-chase...

You're being hunted lets you see blood THROUGH WALLS. Bloodhound doesn't do that. Its less of a survivor following tool as much as it is a tool to help you find injured survivors better.
I do agree about Distraction flare and Don't move. I had finished this concept before leon and jill were added who had their own flashbang / mine items. The thing about the flare in my mind though is that it's not like the fire crackers or flashbang, it instantly blinds the killer at maximum duration and brightness as long as they're looking anywhere near it, plus it lasts longer. Essentially a flashlight on mega-steroids, forcing the killer to leave the area where its placed.
Paleontologist only lets you see the perk icons in the corner of your screen for a few seconds. Would require survivors to memorise the perks by their icon.
And finally, Primal Botany is just a free sprint burst when healed (I wasn't sure of the numbers of sprint burst second-wise). I could see this being incredibly strong in SWF if you 99% everyones heal you have a free sprint burst. Also kind of an anti-tunnel perk where if you heal a survivor and the killer is coming via BBQ or whatever you can finish healing them to let them get good distance on the killer that might be specifically tunneling them.
Just thought i'd clarify what I imagine theyd look like in game as I try to keep the perk descriptors more brief. But for the most part your criticism is fair.
Regardless, You're Being Hunted essentially acts as a (slightly) improved Bloodhound, as I said earlier. And I don't feel that, even given the flare doing so, it should have one charge. It's true flashbangs can be created countless times, so I wouldn't say it's out of the picture or an insane thought to have the flare have, say... 4 uses?
And as a Killer main, I know nearly every perk in the game off by heart, based solely by their icons. I'll rephrase. Every perk, including Survivor ones. And I'm confident that at least 50% of the player base has done the same... so it's not hard to know what perks are by their icons, nor is it hard to guess in-game without such a perk blatantly giving it away.
-
There's nothing to truly 'counter' tunnelling, and that's fine, because it all comes down to skill half the time. Most people who frequent tunnelling and camping are lower-ranked, newcomer Killers, and even then, if people can't avoid being 3-hooked or left on hook and then thrown back on... it usually comes back to their own skill. I've personally had no problems with tunnelling. It's almost always something that traces back to that myth of 'The Survivor Handbook' that toxic, no-life players use as an excuse for poor sportsmanship and/or abuse and harassment. My view is, if you need to tunnel for a kill, just to make a 1k or 2k, go ahead. If you can at least draw without doing so, that's great also. It's a viable strategy for newer Killers and something that should teach newer Survivors to build their own strategies to avoid the hook. As for a general viability... of course it will never go both ways. It's entirely situational, and to say otherwise would be idiotic.
-
I like this idea, but there's a few issues I'd like to point out.
Number one. 'You're Being Hunted' .
This almost exactly mirrors the way that Bloodhound functions right now, and that is a more easily accessible perk belonging to Wraith, who is a free Killer and therefore not licensed. Why would we have any reason to be using this over Bloodhound?
Secondly, 'Paleontologist' sounds pretty game-breaking.
You're not going to sit there and tell me that Survivors should be given the ability to have the Killer's perks revealed outright -- albeit for a limited time -- instead of forcing them to learn, just like Killers have to...
Third. Both 'Distraction Flare' and 'Don't Move' sound considerably weak.
The flare should be replenishable, or at least have a few uses. By the sounds of it, you're pitching for a perk that grants a barely-buffed flashlight which has an AOE as oppsoed to an aiming mechanic... and one with only one use. That's a waste of a perk slot in my opinion.
And as for Don't Move, having the crows circle you seems absolutely unnecessary, and just a pointless downside of using the perk. Otherwise, this seems like a perk perfectly suited for being a Survivor version of Insidious.
Lastly, 'Primal Botany' is just plain useless. Gaining a 1-3 second speed boost is not even situational. It's pointless. It'd need to be at least a base of 9 or 10 seconds to even be permissible by most standards.
But other than that, a great concept. I actually wasn't for a Jurassic Park/World chapter before this... and I'm glad I stopped by this. Good job.
-
For toxic Survivors: To stop them from leaving just because they were killed, like the little crybabies they are.
For Killers: To have it glitch out and give a 5hr ban to them just because a Survivor DCed during matchmaking.

It sucks cause Sony doesn’t understand context or anything. So it lets bullies off the hook and promotes this culture. You stick up for yourself after they started it? Well then you’re punished. Reminds me of public school. I never said anything offensive or the like to these people who message me. I got banned once for a week cause I simply said eff off and leave me alone after a person sent message after message harassing me. Well guess what, punished for that simple statement.
That appears to be how the world works mate. A great deal of it is unjust, and a great deal further is corrupt. Sony and Microsoft have some apologising to do regardless.

I’ve had to close my messages on PsN. It sucks cause sometimes I get nice messages and such and make friends that way. But now if I play a certain way or do something survivors don’t like all four will send me messages. If I respond in a slightly negative way back I get reported and banned. Sony promotes bullying and harassment this way. Even if the survivors or killer were being toxic I made it a rule to never send a message first cause I knew Sony whack policies couod get me for being slightly rude not even saying curse words or anything. It’s just a shame I won’t be able to make friends anymore cause I have to close off my messages
Yep, I've already taken the liberty of shutting off messages on Xbox a long time ago... not worth it. Not worth it one bit.

Two things.
One, every point you've made here has been more of wish than anything else. There's no evidence, -- hell, there's no foundation -- and every inch of this is inconclusive.
Second, who the ######### cares? If he was racist, what implications does this have on the fact that he's a homicidal maniac with a penchant for collecting fingers as trophies? He appears to kill absolutely indiscriminately and does not concern himself with the type of people he targets.

Killer: Doctor or Freddy (I'm hoping Oni or Deathslinger soon)
Survivor: My man Ash. Groovy.
-
I've only recently converted to playing on Xbox, and I've just started using Freddy... Killer games aren't typically stressful if I'm confident with a Killer or ok with sacrificing a 3 or 4k just for fun, but they are when I'm unfamiliar and/or not trained with a Killer. Yes, when I play Freddy, I'm total rubbish. I think I had a game earlier (of only 3 played so far) where I had 8 hooks, but I was playing Projections in a smart way. For someone of my experience and magnitude with Freddy playing how I did in that game, I was absolutely fine with the fact that I only got 1 or 2 kills... it was a fair compensation, if you ask me; I got to learn the ropes of Freddy a bit while having fun.
But even earlier, I was thrown into Lampkin, and I did my best to play smart. Didn't work out real well. I had to resort to inadvertently tunnelling a Survivor because I have forgotten to change my brightness settings on my TV screen to a higher level (yeah, I play console, so of course every map is twenty-times darker than they should be)...
I think on the whole, it's important you have fun. I'm pretty laughable when I'm not running Maple Knight or similar add-on Doctor or Billy, but I take it in my stride. Most of us aren't competing for anything, which is what these forums are usually blind to.

I was accused of hacking and exploiting, using certain perks that just didn't fit the circumstances they fell under, and just told I was #########, simply due to the fact that I landed seven solid hatchets and three hooks on my first game as Huntress while my game was freezing up without an end in sight (console player problems). Their words were along the lines of, 'You only hit those hatchets because of NOED! You were clearly hacking. There's no way somebody can hit hatchets from across the map' and 'Wurst Kullir' (yes, those exact misspelled words). Yeah... I was 'using NOED' apparently. I was running a Level 7 Huntress with two perks I cannot even remember, and I hadn't even picked up NOED on her Bloodweb... very intelligent person. What was it? Was I running NOED, hacking, or a combination of the two? And despite all that freezing and lagging, and going in rather oblivious to how to play Huntress well, I still manage to hit some decent shots and hook a few of them... yet I'm the 'Wurst Kullir'... yeah, ok.
And yes, two of them did DC.

Don't place your snares directly in front of windows. Figure out the distance from a window where you normally get a "Fast Vault" notification as survivor, and place snares just before there. It forces their vault at that window to be a slow vault.
You can use snares as wards to tell you where survivors are. Placing them in choke points and on objectives, can give you a lot of information and even start to teleport early as a survivor is reaching a point, like basement stairs when a survivor is hooked, hallways leading to a generator at the end of the hall, or the exit gate switches during EGC.
Learn to hide your red stain, watch looping guides for Killers, and common tiles.
If two or more gens are close together and you know survivors are working on a gen (BBQ for example), teleport to a nearby gen instead the gen they are on and you may sneak up on them easier.
I think this is where Discordance (especially when paired with Pop) really comes in handy. Being able to pinpoint where large congregations of Survivors are located and having the ability to easily reach them is definitely one of the predominant reasons I chose to purchase Freddy. Thanks for your input... I'll keep it in mind!
Edit: Typo

Use the Dream Projection during a chase, instead of only to apply pressure. If a survivor is running to a gen, prepare your teleport.
If they go all the way, teleport and hit them.
If not, cancel the teleport and then hit them.
Snares are stronger than Pallets, so keep that in mind.
@GuyFawx said:
dont get yourself used to fake pallets addon as the snare is so much better in loops and strats this is really the first thing you need to learn with freddy as to when trap and when to chase. ideally freddy is stronger when he gets survivors sepparated as well if they are grouping up on a gen thats when you do you teleport and theres a perk that shows you when 2 or more survivors are on a gen i highly suggest you look for it i think its a piggy perk.
Yes, I was considering almost never using Dream Pallets outside of customs lol... I just can't see your average Survivor being that disconnected from the game that they're totally unable to remember where pallets were previously dropped, let alone in what areas most of them had been. This stuff is essentially what I got from the videos I sunk my eyes into, but I thank you nonetheless. I'll keep in mind particularly to keep pressure on as many Survivors as possible whilst using Projections to set up easy hits... that's a thing I learned from watching some Rank 1 gameplay. Cheers.

I mainly bring up the overcharge part from personal experience on both sides.
As unless I am having a really bad game I usually always hit overcharge skill checks as they are predictable for when they happen.
As for killer I rarely see the generator I kicked last explode with overcharge despite it being repaired.
I have Overcharges going off left, right and centre when I run it. And I get pitched against Rank 2 Survivors when I've barely played enough to qualify for Rank 13 this new season lol...

Overcharge doesn't do anything to against good survivors as they can hit the skill check reliably.
Also I doubt they are talking about Pop as that's an instant regression not the overtime regression they are referring too.
Not exactly. This person is trying to bring up an issue with regression in general. And in my experiences, Overcharge is always effective... rarely ever had Survivors complete that Skill Check. But maybe that's just me.
