Hopefully a lot less.

Thats half the fun of nemesis. They don't have any official names, so you get to give them their very own names yourself. I named mine nea and dave.
-
I feel sorry for the forum mods who have to read the exact same thing you post every single day without fail

Let’s play a game: Take a shot whenever @TheDarkTyrant posts something about Nemesis.
Drinking cyanide would be a slower death than that.

Happens every time. The forum loses their mind over every single nerf, but it makes sense since its the largest gathering of people with the littlest amount of faith in BHVR.
-
Big agree. Seen more hackers in the last month than i've seen in the 4 years i've played this game.
-
Good riddance.

Not to be that guy but is that really YEARS of work?
Kind of. It takes a lot of time to do anything in game development. Every single addon needs to be thought out, coded, stress tested, implemented, bug tested, and then finally shipped. They likely have to do that with every single addon they change. It would take a very long time to do that for every single addon on a huge swathe of killers.
-
As per usual, they actually do a pretty good job at bringing off-meta perks up to a fun and usable state. They very rarely every fail to buff low tier perks to a good state. I think they are great.

It did happen, it's the "survive with bots" and the "kill the bots" mode in the getting started mode.
Survive with bots? sounds like your average Soloq match

Kicking up dust for footstebs is fairly precise and cant be taken wrong imo
It can, we have no idea how drastic the "dust" is. it could be minor little dirt patches, or huge clouds. Theres no way for us to judge yet how detrimental the dust is.
-
As far as i am aware, these changes haven't even released yet. You can't judge these changes based solely on a very vague description of what they aim to do, words don't work well to accurately describe an entirely visual/auditory change.
-
Doc+any of the snowball killers. Doc could provide necessary information that would make them nigh-impossible to escape, even as a much larger team of survivors. He can also simply just shut down the loops for his partner to easily clean up, it would be massively busted.
-
Its fun. No other killer can outright instantly kill survivors.
-
Because they are called "Survivors" for a reason. Their only goal is to survive, otherwise the purpose of playing survivor is completely nullified. We have several escape related perks as well, further defeating the purpose of a non-escape related gamemode. Plus alternative gamemodes would already further split a 50/50 matchmaking system that relies on 2 different sides actively playing.

My elementary school from back when i lived in WV. It was sat on top of a fairly large and steep hill, and during the winter you could look out across the very small neighborhood surrounded by forestry, coated in snow. Even as a very young lass, it was staggeringly beautiful. Don't think i've ever been that enraptured by any other location, the untouched snow was just another level of beautiful. I Highly recommend a vacation to Morgantown or any of the other small towns in WV, its an absolutely gorgeous state.

The Room of Death saloon door makes no sense to me. Normally, the room has one window and three breakable walls leading out - so BHVR decide to remove the wall which creates an infinite. Why didn't they just remove the door that leads to the balcony, rather than the current one?
Because they saw they AFK clown video and decided they hated fun
-
I really wish it would come back, its one of those random things they added that everybody liked but they removed for no reason. Really helps establish that feeling that the survivors are truly getting broken and battered throughout the trial, it helps communicate the struggle to survive and thats really cool.
-
Welcome to the dark side, i've also mostly switched to survivor since i still want to play this game. Until some fixes come we'll just have to endure this.

Jailed btw 💀💀
Im in horny jail for that comment.
-
Presumably not. Theres ample evidence from posts here and heresay elsewhere that even if you lose consistently, your MMR will not decrease. If even losing does not decrease it, it is highly unlikely it decays over time.
-
Because "known" bugs are considered recent and fixable. Nurses bugs are as old as sin and seemingly unfixable, or at least BHVR has absolutely 0 drive to attempt to fix them. They are perfectly aware what a buggy mess she is, they just don't want to end up accidentally breaking her.
-
Yes. Same reason it should be possible while intoxicated and while holding victor. Deathslinger is the only exception to this rule, and he is widely hated for it.
-
Hatch standoff and gen hostage doc. Got into a hatch standoff with a nurse back in 2017 and we waited 4 entire hours just staring at each other. She eventually dc'ed and commented on my profile "-Rep, hatch standoff until my wifi died"
Gen hostage doc is self explanatory. Some of the longest matches i've ever had in the history of DBD.
Edit: Oh and forever freddy. I remember really well playing a match with my ex where it took several hours for us to beat a 3 gen forever freddy, if we even so much as ran 3 feet away from the 3 gen he'd just run back and regress the gens.

I'm sure coding and all that isn't as easy as we all like to believe it is. Unless you've done it you can't really hate on them for making mistakes. They are human, after all. However, having said that you can hate the fact that they don't fix them quickly (or what feels like at all when it comes to some things), especially if they have a serious impact on gameplay. But really, the complaint should be how long it takes to fix the errors. Not there being errors. No one is perfect.
You're right, it isn't. But it is easy to unprofessionally code. And DBD very obviously has extremely spaghetti code, a single pallet graphical rework completely broke several pallets on a few maps, and literally made pallet freddy unplayable. I have never ever seen a triple A million dollar earning game with as many ridiculously evil bugs as DBD. Most other triple A games have things like "this area of a map doesn't render properly" or "these animations are somewhat bugged." but dbd has things like "We changed the texture one one object. Everything is awful now."
-
Light doesn't penetrate walls. You can look at them to avoid a flashlight save.
-
They tried it before ages ago, and survivors abused the mechanic so badly it was removed nearly instantly. Its just something we have to live with, anti-camping measures will always inevitably be abused in a way that massively discourages playing killer. Its just a sad part of the game we have to live with, camping exists and theres little that can be done about it without it becoming a balance issue.

Nanachi, does he fit dbd? NO, Do I love him to death? YES
I need Nanachi in everything I do and play, love the bunny <3
Nanachi has gone through enough, i couldn't handle seeing her get hurt in DBD :(
-
Hag and spirit. Games against them are almost never fun, it doesn't help that the people that play them tend to be salt farming urchins that crawled out from under the local grease trap.
-
Matches are generally less fun. But the ones that ARE fun are really fun. So its mostly a lot of misery for the occasionally glorious game.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
People really only get those characters. i barely see nurse or spirit ive been seeing mostly nemesis and pinhead/Chatterer
I've been noticing at high MMR that literally every pinhead uses NOED. Super frustrating stuff since hes really hard to get away from when hes both faster and instadowns you.
-
Not a pig main, but when i play pig i find it pretty funny at times. Other times it just really annoys me because i suddenly have an obligation to be nice to them, or i feel like a jerk. If i brought good addons that game it just feels like a waste because i know the survivors won't try as hard after essentially giving themself up for a meme. I Can't bring myself to kill them after they basically put themselves in danger to test me, though theres been a very small amount of games where i got booped and we all still played like normal. I think it should be treated less like a farm-starting gesture and more like a risky meme you can pull off.

I'm sure the Western Roman Empire also said "We're still kicking" until 395 AD
the western roman empire wasn't a video game that had a monopoly on a very small and untapped market
-
Average bubba:
-Weak
-Barely feared
-Overcompensates with an instadown
The CHAD speed limiter bubba:
-POWERFUL
-Immensely feared
-Quickly downs survivors with two swift sweeps of his saw
-Absolutely ROLLING in bloodpoints
-
Game development is not a fast process.
-
BHVR has a model lying around of yui with her completely bare chest exposed. They've done this with a lot of characters actually, pretty standard industry practice. You can find most of them with some easy google searches, the yui one is the easiest to find though.

I am ashamed to admit that it took me several hours to realize that 'Nea and Dave' are your names for the zombies.
Lmao happens to all of us, its kind of hard to tell when people are talking about the zombies since everybody gives them a unique name.
-
At first i was considering uninstalling, i was that angry with the system. But its sort of leveled out for me over time, crazily enough. My matches are sort of sweaty but not "uninstall out of rage" levels of sweaty. Overall its gotten better with time, but the system needs tweaks.

@Triadequinaxor said:
the game is unbalanced on both sides, killers are becoming boring to play against, holding W meta, is anyone having fun?
Is anyone having fun? Not really. BHVR needs to do something big, and fast. The meta needs to be spiced up and gameplay needs to become more innovative. This isn't TF2, this games players don't have an infinite interest in the exact same gameplay looped repeated ad infinitum.

He looks nothing like Doug Bradley. What we got was an unintimidating baby faced character with strange proportions. I refuse to believe this is his likeness.
Its the 1987 rendition of pinhead, which means hes meant to look like Doug Bradley. Not saying he does, but he is meant to look like him.
-
who is wilson

@glitchboi said:
Honestly, anything that makes him more reminiscent to his RE3 self because damn his kit is unoriginal as hell. But I love these ideas, probably one of my favorite takes of a Nemesis rework.
They put so much love into his animations and sound design and his power is just "m1 but 5-6 meters further" and it feels very lackluster. While i really do love him to the point of literally maining him, i can't deny being a big RE fan is about the only reason. He is incredibly generic and doesn't offer anything more interesting than any of the other m1 killers do. Nea and Dave are cool though, my only partners in crime in the cruel world that is playing nemmy.
-
Considering they got the likeness for pinhead, pinhead looks like Doug Bradley.
The pinhead actor.

Yes. Customs should should be a free rein ground to test and do whatever you want with your friends. You should absolutely be able to trial test DLC there, IMO.

Plague has titties
ok but i mean like, full human tits. Yui was the first one to have hers shown, None of the survivors have had their naked models used in game but most of them have one in the files, hag and plague do have an anti-bra policy though.
-
@Satelit said:
Fun fact: Some female characters have their whole chest modeled under their clothes, but not Huntress apparently.
I think Yui was the first survivor they ever fully modeled with visible anatomy and kept the files for, apparently its done for the purpose of giving the artists a stronger idea of how her clothing should wrap around her body.
-
I do think its dumb a survivor can undo a 3 second killer action with a 0.3 second action (aka a single tap) i feel like to stop regression done by kicks a survivor should have to work on it for at least a few seconds. Its dumb that this isn't already the case.
-
Its intended. Why would the meter reset because of DS? Plus that would be some risky coding considering BHVR's history. Also they don't like making perks that specifically counter certain killer powers, its inconsistent and unfun for the people who play those killers.
