  • I hope they make atleast 1 or 2 of his perks not niche cause they are all forgettable but it's gonna be a yes. I really loved silent hill 1-3 and konami has ######### on the silent hill franchise for years now with crappy prequels and sequels after team silent was broken up so i guess this game is the only way to enjoy silent hill besides going back to play the old games on ps2 or playing a ######### pachinko machine in japan.

  • Pyramid head is probably the most dangerous thing in the game he would probably attack other killers, he tried to kill the other creatures in silent hill 2 when he was in proximity to them and seems to be unkillable by normal means.

Plague is interesting I want to say she would still be able to kill someone with her bare hands since she is such a giant woman who won't let a life threatening disease stop her.

Amanda is probably the easiest one to take out, I still don't know why they made her The Pig.

If I'm correct, some Priests were Warriors :) It was a culture of warriors similar to the Spartans if my memory is correct.

The Hag isn't a survivor is she? Whatever type of human the Killer USED to be doesn't matter now that they're a servant of the Entity... At least that's the way I look at them.

Look up Kotal Kahn from Mortal Kombat X and 11 pretty much what you would want as far as mori's go in his fatalities but hopefully aesthetically more gruesome in the looks department.

  • I think everyone agrees at some level, it would be good if they did the inclusive thing right cause it's very rare when companies do it. It raised a red flag to alot of people when they announced it in June which can come across as pandering to use a group for exposure and sales. I don't think anyone here cares if the characters are gay as long as it makes sense and doesn't clash with information already given about them.

That's just my understanding of what people are saying when i read this.

You said you didn't want inclusiveness, so let's get rid of it. All of it.

What a stupid thing to say, you know darn well when these companies do this inclusiveness thing most of the time they don't really commit to it, it's just a flavor of the month for sales and being a "supporter".

  • Do not misrepresent what I was replying to. Someone said for survivors to also include there political views and the person i was agreeing with said something along the lines of lets not bring politics into it. It had nothing to do with being gay.

  • Yeah, I agree. People that cared about that were free to interpret what they wanted and could make all the characters gay, bi whatever. This very much looks like pandering but i guess as long as they don't shove it in my face idc keep the that stuff in the archives that i never look at.

  • I agree, keep ######### politics out of a video game about killing and torturing survivors for the amusement of a lovecraftian god monster. People it's called escapism for a reason.

  • @Desh said:

Stop giving your life story. I can understand representation to a point, but if you're that over joyed over a video game character being gay when their sole purpose is to escape a trial, you probably need to find better role models.

What's more frustrating are people who hint at or outright say, 'If you don't have representation of X community, you don't support said community'. Which is basically what you said when Behavior's focus at the time was on creating a fun and competitive game for everyone to enjoy. Behavior's initial idea of leaving it open to interpretation was that it didn't matter what your sexuality was. You're still a human being and having a preference or skin color or gender doesn't make you any less of a human being. People can still support you without shouting it from the roof tops.

I'm not angry at you, good for you for being happy. It's this general idea that people get that personally just annoys me because it's almost ridiculous that people have to do this to feel some "normal".

Preach, people got issues is all i'll say idc if the characters are gay or straight cause it doesn't matter they are fictional characters and they don't exist. Hope the devs don't pander too hard where it starts getting silly.

  • Just stab 3 and stab the last person twice, it's says get 4 stabs with 1 frenzy.

  • The new player experience is garbage, needing a wiki or youtube guides means you have failed to teach your players how your game works and only leads to frustration on there part since the game is shown to look more like a hide and seek when in reality it's just hold m1 on a gen, running around in circles till you press the button to drop the pallet or hop a window.

  • Otz i think is the best dbd streamer but I do give big credit to Tru3 and Fungoose for teaching me some stuff even though they get stale. All the other streamers bore me but I am very picky on streamers I watch cause live content is just no what i'd choose to watch unless it's really engaging in some way.

  • Keys being in chest was a mistake imagine killers randomly finding moris mid match and you have no real warning. Hopefully both of these things get balanced once and for all along with hatch, if I killed 3 survivors with 4 or 5 gens left they don't deserve the chance, the team failed just like if killers couldn't kill anyone and it got to endgame they don't deserve a free kill just cause they had a bad game.

    in Keys Comment by TKTK
  • While i disagree that he is OP, I do think he is boring to play as but i don't want him nerfed either just a side grade mostly for his chase related power to be something else. His teleport should be left alone though, it's basically his main power cause his chase power requires survivors to be asleep and if they don't change his snares/fake pallets it's not that big of a deal he's fine, while he's not my favorite he works better than old freddy even though i think old freddy just needed more tweaks to make him good. I think they just streamlined him too much.

  • Freddy could have been buffed to be more viable before they reworked him. He lost alot of what made him special and he's is very boring to play imo they streamlined him too much. I know Demogorgon is a lesser version of him in a way but I still prefer to play Demo over Freddy. I only play Freddy now because i like the claw SFX for some reason.

  • I never really get to use NOED, it seems to be better the worse you are at the killer you play. That's just my opinion, I don't like building for the endgame since survivors are pretty overpowered in that part since they can all have BT, DS, Unbreakable so the endgame strats are too risky for my taste

  • Probably gonna use Infectious fright, M&A, Pop, and Thrilling Tremors. Maybe save the best for last replacing one of those because he is more a M1 killer since his ranged attack is very slow and predictable and will probably better at making survivors cautious of the threat of it like how Huntress, Demo, and Gunslinger work by making them do sub optimal pathing.

  • They probably should have rounded her face a bit more and made the freckles a bit more prominent along with lightening up her complexion. It's too bad they screwed up her look, she's one of my favorite silent hill characters next to James, Angela and Lisa Garland. She just doesn't have that average teenager look like she had in SH3 not too beautiful but still pleasing to the eye, it's amazing that they made her look the way she did on a ps2.

  • I play both but spirit and hillbilly are fine i never have issues with them from my experiences playing them helps, the only thing that's potentially overpowered is decent 3-4 man swf which kills everything even fun.

  • Thats funny cause saboteur came out on the shrine when those changes were coming out for it, very weird to have the perks in the shrine to be just by chance.

  • Sound occlusion is trash idk if it'll ever get fixed so when a survivor runs behind a wall have fun guessing where they went. The slugs being soundless is unacceptable, it's been in the game too long now and apart from the map designers being the worst part of the dbd dev team the sound team is second worst imo they really need to do better and it messes with killers more than anything when sounds are as jank as they are now.

  • It's a toss up between leatherface, legion and clown imo.

  • I just save up BP for the next killer and when i cap i spend a couple 100k on a survivor for items or killer for add-ons for hag or trapper cause those are the only killers i still use addons for. You could P3 all the killers which is a waste of time but it's an option i guess.

  • The map designers don't understand the game enough to not make stuff like this possible it seems they just get told in advance what is needed to make the level and just do whatever and then fix it later cause they have no understanding of how tiles are run or what players are capable of. They are always terrible at designing structures from what i've seen and like the look of the place without thinking about how it plays out.

  • All Trapper has is Corrupt Intervention to set up without losing more than 2 gens, establish a parameter and hold it.

Freddy lost alot of uniqueness that i think they could have built on to make it work. As for how he is now, teleporting is nice but snares/dream pallets should have been something else for chases, he can do anything in the dream world.

  • @indieeden7 said:

This update was focused on god windows/loops, not entire maps. Also, when Haddonfield is reworked it will most likely get a few additional variations, the devs wouldn't have had enough time to do everything achieved in this patch AND rework a map along with 4 other variations of the same map.

It's funny cause mother's dwelling is still the biggest map and has it's god windows in the main house while other maps got shrunk or lost the god windows but to OP that map needs a whole rework theres no way they can fix every map in one patch, they even forgot one of the worst ones.

  • My problem with freddy is how boring he is to play, teleporting is cool but of all the things he can possibly do snares and fake pallets wouldn't be my first idea personally. I doubt they'll ever change him again but I'd like it if he just got a different type of power thats more active than trap spam which i think is practical in there use but they could have done better by him because he can potentially do anything.

  • Agree, revert him back. He is clunky as hell to play.

  • Yes, Billy feels horrible breaking pallets feels really fast but recovering from chainsaws feel slower than usual.

in Billy boi Comment by TKTK
  • Hillbilly definitely feels different, I don't know if his curve changed or what but it feels clunky.

So tell me again why we can't have proper and defined resolution settings, a proper fullscreen mode, proper ways to change the anti aliasing, resolution scaling, v-sync, shadow texture size, level of detail, character model quality, bloom, and a bunch of other options?

None of these would offer an advantage and would give a huge quality of life improvements over having to EXIT THE GAME, DIG UP A CONFIG FILE, AND EDIT STUFF MANUALLY.

I mean, that's like saying no multiplayer PvP game shouldn't have options ever, because it would be "too much of an advantage", to which I say no, I would say it would give everyone more balance, since low spec PCs will have a better chance to run the game at an equal amount of frames as a person who has a high spec PC, instead of needing to chug constantly at sub-par framerates or incredibly ridiculously low resolutions and scaling to have a fighting chance to have a stable and acceptable frame rate.

Half the things that would cause balance issues (like sound), would be fixed by balancing the sound with the intent of having no music playing at all, and then allowing people to raise and lower the volumes to whatever they're comfortable with, making it so sound is good for everybody whether they're using headphones, speakers, or play on a bloody TV, while eliminating most of the problem of sounds breaking every patch with usually everything becoming far more quiet than they were intended to be, or even wanting to play their own music in the background.

The reason sounds break so bad so much is because the way they are implemented is broken in the first place.

I agree 100% with what you said but some people will find a reason to deny or the devs will say something to not do it. This game needs options for the players both pc and console without having to go into the files.

I don't feel like paying for something and then grinding 200+ hours worth of gameplay when most things just let you buy the things you want, without the tedious grind or paying out the ass to skip said grind.

Battle passes force one to have to throw in multiple hours a day to even have a chance to get anything of any real value from them. And just, yeah.

To be honest, I find it kind of insulting that we have to pay for the game, pay for expensive cosmetics, pay for expansions, and finally have a free to play battlepass system with all of the above, and yet they apparently cannot afford the funds to improve and optimize the game significantly by adding a proper and functioning options system after 4 years.

they'll never put in an actual options menu cause they are too worried about how they want people to play, FOV increases for killer without perks, more options for killer powers outside of addons like ADS speed for Deathslinger, sound and music sliders ect.

People will say something about it being op or whatever but never want to actually try them out, they will put what they want and tell us to try those and maybe change them months later to something slightly less awful than what they originally put out.

  • The map changes are a step forward, i do agree swf will always be a problem with the power gap between them and solos unless the devs actually close the gap and balance around it.

They are doing alright with balance one step at a time moris, keys, swf, and more maps need to be looked at but you can't knock them for not trying in that regard. I get the frustration when you do deal with 3 or 4 man swf decent survivors cause they aren't any better than the solid solos but they have information that solos just don't have without perks and that get really annoying to deal with when they all stack the meta perks. Hopefully the devs look at swf at some point where it's not like a different game when you play against them.

  • That's ######### hilarious, i find those nasty messages funny as hell. What a charming individual.

  • Farm maps and some of the other old map variant have ######### rng but Mt Ormond, Mother's Dwelling and Haddonfield i'd argue are just as bad if not worse but every map up until the temple of purgation have ######### design elements on them that i don't think breakable walls will fix like jungle gyms looping into other jungle gyms going into killer shack or cowloop or whatever. The devs sucked at maps for a long time and are just now understanding how much they sucked when they redid preschool which still has strong structures like the preschool itself, the house with the garage and of course killer shack but it's all spaced between actually playable loops that aren't one sided like as I said before. They gotta fix there mess, disabling some bad maps isn't gonna change the fact most of the maps suck, that's just my opinion though.

  • I think context around the kills matter more than the result cause you can easily secure 2 kills and get a depip, but like most people said theres no way to accurately score the game with all the variables going on

Also, while we're at it, where exactly does it say that "dead hard" means "extremely tough/strong?" When I look it up on Google, I just get the Dead By Daylight perk.

LMAO, that's hilarious. Why did they call the perk that?

  • Breakable walls are a way for killers to have an advantage where they are disadvantaged otherwise. Why would a survivor want to give them that for free lmao.

Map design is an issue, breaking walls wont change this

Obviously, thats why i said it's gonna be a bandaid fix. You don't gotta tell me it's not gonna fix it lol

Need to fix? How many people complained about Shack of all things? Ruin, sure. Gens, yea. hit boxes, all the time. But Shack?

Adding in somethine that nullifies a loop instead of invsting in an "Operation: Health" like Siege did would do wonders for this game

But instead we get Huntress 2: Electric Boogaloo

Fix as in the map design as whole. Alot of people complain about map design myself included.

  • With bbq as killer probably like 3 or 4 hours using the killer you are most comfortable with.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1131788#Comment_1131788

That's a problem with Map design and RNG

Instead of fixing either of those they add a third element that takes no effort or risk to do and throws out the others

I agree, but you and i know how they are with map design, they are very late to fixing the terrible design and are so slow at it they added them cause they probably know how slow the changes are coming but need to fix them somehow

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

Its one of the loops that really is ridiculous no matter how you look at it

I still say breaking walls like Shack is pathetic and lazy

If shack is in rotten fields where it's by itself yeah adding a breakable wall to it is uncalled for but if it's like how it can be in Groaning store house where there can be a jungle gym behind it and L wall T wall on the other side, I'm not gonna get mad about it bandaid fix be like that....

  • Probably gonna add breakable walls to all the other maps probably to wherever the god loops are as a bandaid fix

Leatherface and Hillbilly probably gonna get there addon changes, maybe they'll nerf base Billy in a stupid way when he doesn't deserve it

Myers will get his addons changed

    Huntress will lose iridescent head

  • They are probably gonna put breakable walls by them to bandaid fix them rather than just block one or put door ways by them......

People have been saying loops like those aren't fair for years now but they are really complacent when it comes to god loops

  • Limit the maximum size maps can be, make safe pallet loops not spawn consecutively next to each other and get rid of god loops

  • lol ds is seen almost half the time, also self care being used that much is surprising as for borrowed time with how powerful it is. Pretty good data, really captures what i see most of the time or what i think i see.
