It isn't coming back in anyway, they've gone on record stating this dozens of times. Get over it.
The only people who should get it are folk who lost it in the first place.
>killers: Trapper, Billy, Nurse and Wraith and for the survivors: Claudette, Meg, Nea and Dwight?
Jake erasure once again. :/ Why does everyone forgot about my man, he was one of the original four!

Can someone post a pic of all the options? I can't view them again since I've already voted.
Top row is set A, bottom is set B.
L-R:
David, Dredge, Kate, Trickster, Mikaela, Meg
Hillbilly, Yun-Jin, Trickster, Kate, Adam, Meg
-
It do go hard.
I'm not even an anime fan, but I can appreciate a bop when I hear one.
-
B has better skins over all (A's Trickster skin is 🤮), but I can't miss the chance for Ice Queen Mikaela.

It is progression just an awful way of implementing it. If an FPS locked using my pistol until I hit a certain level I would be pretty pissed. Perks are an essential mechanic core to the game. Locking using them behind a level cap is just poor design imo.
>If an FPS locked using my pistol until I hit a certain level I would be pretty pissed
You mean like how most non-Class based shooters do just that, by level gating weapons and equipment?
Progression is good, and this specific instance is hard to complain about. Especially after the update, where its going to be once per character instead of thrice.

Your argument doesn’t make sense as I’ve stated it costs almost, with a tiny difference, the same amount to buy a purple skin as it would to sign up.
I think you guys are just complaining for the sake of complaining :’)
sucks that you’re not gonna get prime skins but oh well that’s on you imho
I literally said it wasn't about the money, but go off.
My suggestion has no downside at all to either party. I don't see why you feel the need to argue against it.
You get your free skins, and I have the ability to purchase them in the Store if I really want them.
I have no interest in managing an account (nor paying) for a service that I'm not going to use at all, all for the sake of getting one slightly cheaper skin per month for characters I likely don't even play.

A lot of people already have a prime sub for the music, streaming service, free delivery etc same as me, the prime gaming loot like the skins are a free bonus in my eyes.
Complaining about wanting to buy skins in the store yet the subscription is a tiny bit more expensive, doesn't make sense to me honestly
...and to players who don't want to have to register an account and pay for a service they're not going to use?
Or to players who live in locales who don't have the option to use Prime whatsoever?
I don't see the issue with just putting the skins in the Store as normal, while allowing Prime members to obtain them for free.

Free skins were never a good idea?
Being locked out of skins unless you want to sign up and pay for an entirely unrelated service is kind of #########.
They could at least put them in the Store for people to purchase normally.
-
I mainly use outfits available from the Rift. I very rarely purchase anything with Auric Cells, and when I do its when they're on sale.
Waited forever for Zarina's penguin onesie to become available for Shards like they sometimes do to Auric Cell only outfits, but eventually bit the bullet and copped it when it was on sale last month.
I don't even play Zarina! It's just a really cute outfit.
-
David got a ginger hair recolour at one point iirc.
It made him look absolutely hideous however, so I don't reckon it should count (though he always looks 'ideous regardless).

Well what I mean is that if you pick a killer that you have never ever played before you will be matches with baby survs.
Now - lets say you have 3k hours in total. It will be completely no challenge at all as you will outplay them with experience in the game.
Yep.
Unfortunately though, the alternative isn't better.
I am an experienced Killer player, but I will still lose to even newer Survivors if you force me to play Killers that I am uncomfortable with and awful at using (such as Huntress, Pinhead and Dredge).
-
I hate Pinhead.

Yea, I think the only male winner was Never Stop Slashing (Frank) for Legion... which IMO is even sad because the creator made versions for all 4 members of Legion, but they just did the one for Frank. Like, Legion is such a unique killer and while I think it's great they picked that skin, it's a great one for sure, really wish they had done all four.
Clown was the Killer who won in the first contest, so Frank isn't the only winner.
Additionally, Frank was the only Never Stop Slashing concept that the artist, Amacky, had made at the time. Julie, Joey & Susie were made a while later.

Blight Pyramid Head exists. Just saying
It does.
The only outfit Pyramid Head has received in almost two years (the one prior to that was in August 2020).

Wasn't the next installment of Silent Hill leaked a while ago? I think Konami is opening up oportunities for Silent Hill.
'New Silent Hill game leaked' has been a thing every month since the latest game in the series released a decade ago. I wouldn't put any stock in those rumours at all until something concrete shows itself.
-
Unlikely.
BHVR would have to get in touch with Konami and work something out.
Konami, who rather infamously does not give a **** about the Silent Hill franchise anymore, and will ptobably be difficult to work with.
I'm surprised they managed to work out three different legendary skins for her.
-
No, it doesn't work that way.

Yeah, I'm wondering why.
The Bloodweb doesn't get big enough to spawn the Entity until level 12.
Level 10 is an exception because it spawns two perks, which forces the Entity to appear the moment you grab one.
-
We had a Bloodhunt literally last week, and another one a month ago.
-
1) RPD, for the same reasons you outlined.
2) Garden of Joy. Beautiful aesthetic, gorgeous visuals. I really like how the exterior of the map is floating debris instead of the standard spiked walls that 90% of the other outdoor maps use.
3) Dead Dawg Saloon.

what about new RE chapter ?
Project W is either Chapter 25 or Chapter 26, which means it will either release in early-mid September (if its Chapter 25) or late November/early December (if its Chapter 26).
-
Leveled up Hillbilly for the first time in almost six years. He still had the massive bloodweb from pre-Legacy days.
-
Kill switch is meant for game breaking bugs or other issues.
Dead Hard, as much as I loathe it, is neither.

Yep. Threatened in the same way they felt threatenes from Friday the 13th, Hide or Die, Deceit, White Noise, Last Year, Home Sweet Home, etc.
Give me some what what you're smokin' bruh.

Honestly I'd prefer until dawn instead. Loved the quarry just felt unfinished a bit. But both types of monsters are alike in some ways so it really wouldn't be that different.
The Wendigos in Until Dawn are blind (or rather, their sight is based on movement) whereas the werewolves in the Quarry are not.
You wouldn't be able to have an accurate Wendigo killer given how their hard counter would be to not move (which is indeed what the survivors in UD do).

I was merely pointing out that in a game where you play as a powerful/ monstrous/ supernatural killer, not being able to push a tiny survivor to the side and get through a doorway doesn’t exactly make you feel powerful
Pray tell how shoving a survivor to the side would be any more effective then simply *hitting them with your weapon which forces them to move if they don't want to go down*?
It's a cooperative game, and the ability to bodyblock to buy time is an altruistic move.
-
It's possible. The game isn't particular gory or all that unacceptable for young teenagers.
I was fourteen when I started playing, for example.

They changed the required quantities if my memory doesn't fail me
After a few hours of the event going live. Several hours of a two week event is nothing.
Not that it mattered anyway, since changing the required challenges didn't negate any of the progress we had made up to that point, so nothing was lost on our part.
-
What is the point of setting deadlines if the community is going to arbitrarily demand extensions for no good reason?
This event wasn't even bugged to justify an extension this time.
-
RPD.
-
Probably because its still very easy to find the generators regardless.
The map is a small square, and the generators always spawn in the classrooms, hallways and occasionally the garden.
You can see hallway generators from a fair distance away, and it takes a second to duck into a classroom to see if there's a generator inside.
-
That would only work on lunge attacks.
If the Killer is close enough, they can just grab you mid vault, ignoring the Deep Wound state altogether.

No, it wasn't.
The deadline was November 24th, 2016.
-
Bloodhunts only double your four score categories.
Basically, you can earn up to an additional 32,000 Bloodpoints, assuming you earn the first set of 32,000 BP.
It is not effected by Bloodpoint offerings such as Flans, nor does it effect the rewards from completed daily rituals.
-
They've been upfront from pretty much the start that it's going to be something small and decidedly *not* a cosmetic.
This is pretty neat, imo.
-
No, only if you continued to level them past 50 to accumulate perks.
If you stopped the moment they hit level 50, they're going to remain unprestiged.
-
> disconnects for no reason, ruining the match for four other players
> complains about the penalty put in place to stop exactly that from happening constantly
-
Yes, you need to reach level 50 to unlock the teachables instead of 30, 35 & 40.
BUT, Prestiging now unlocks those three perks on **every other character** instead of throwing them into the perk pool for you to collect.
It's going to reduce the grind massively.

Laurie has not managed to get a winter sweater.
True, I forgot about that.
She has however, like every other licensed Survivor, received at least one cosmetic collection. Quentin hasn't even managed that.
-
If they were ever going to get something, they would have by now.
They've been in the game for almost five years, and Quentin at least hasn't received even a Winter Sweater, something every other licensed Survivor has managed.
-
No one complains that tunnelling is too effective as a strategy, they complain that it's unfun to go against and essentially ruins the game for the unfortunately targeted player.

I mean it is, unless you have another term for an 'indirect but de facto nerf'.
It's much along the same lines as things like larger maps being a shadow nerf to M1 killers, or lighter maps being a shadow nerf to Trapper, etc.
Resurgence wasn't touched at all, the healing mechanic was. Yes, Resurgence has become much less effective, but it wasn't a 'shadow nerf', because that would require it having been changed in any way AND for the devs to not notice anyone about it.
-
Just read your previous thread and this one.
Yeah... I'm going to go with a big 'E' for entitled.
Maybe when multiple people disagree with you, you could consider the possibility that it may be you who is in the wrong?
-
I believe the console versions of the game released a physical special edition that included the Stranger Things chapter on the disc. As far as I know, that's the only legal way to get it now, so your coworker could look at tracking a copy down.

No way flans are working. Every match is the same BPs. 20-30k which is normal.
Those figures don't show the increased post-match bonus. Just how you did within the context of the four scoring categories.
See the first tab of the results screen to view your final Bloodpoint gain. (AKA press R1 once)
-
The game is far more than just a slasher flick. It covers a wide variety of genres. There's already plenty of swimsuits and other summer themed outfits representing the slasher 'aspect' of the game.
I'd prefer more creative outfit collections in the future.
I want a Survivor in full medieval knight armour, which makes stupidly loud clanging noises every time they move. Impractical, sure, but it would be fun.

Thats weird, cause mine stopped at 40 when I completed it...
My last match with the challenge I entered with 37/40 and I know I did more skillchecks than 3 that match, yet the challenge said it had 40/40 contributions afterwards.
I'll have to take your word for it though and I'll test it out again later.
That said, if it actually does work and goes over 40, then the challenges are very poorly worded. Why do they even have a X/40 counter on them, if 40 is not actually the limit? Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to simply count your contribution towards the challenge instead, without the whole "out of 40" stuff?
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the answers!
The 'out of 40' is merely so you personally can claim the reward when the community challenge is finished.
If you haven't hit the 40 yourself, you won't get the reward even when the community finishes it.

@KerJuice said:
Can someone explain to us year 3 and newer players how the legacy thing worked, what it entailed, and how did some circumvent the system to reap the rewards?
In late 2016, the Bloodweb system was greatly revamped to reduce the grind of leveling. Individual Bloodwebs were generated smaller, and nodes were now priced based on their rarity as opposed to the ring they were placed in the Bloodweb. Inner nodes cost 3k BP, middle nodes cost 5k BP and outer nodes cost 8k BP. This was regardless of the rarity or quality of the node.
For every piece of Prestige a player had achieved prior to November 24th, 2016, they would earn the respective Legacy piece. Every character available at the time with the exception of Michael Myers & Laurie Strode were eligible for Legacy.
Since that date, Legacy has been completely exclusive and has never been available for grabs at all, and the devs have gone on record saying it never will.
Here's my Legacy 3 Jake. It's just a reskin of the default outfit with glowing embers burned into it.
-
That's the point.
They're slow to come because they're the free to earn, passive income currency equivalent to the Auric Cells premium currency.
Any buffs to Iridescent Shard rate gains is going to give less incentive to players purchasing Auric Cells. Which means less profit for BHVR.
AKA not going to happen.
