I dont think anybody is saying killing god loops is an issue.
What people are saying is that killers have got a lot of what they wanted the past year. Toolboxes nerfed, god loops fixed, maps shrunk, instaheals nerfed.
Thats all great. It makes killer more enjoyable.
However now maybe something has to be done for survivor. Camp/tunnel:noed strategy needs to go. Its used in the vast majority of games and ruins the experience for many people. Likewise some killer add ons could be nerfed just like instaheals were (looking at you iri head + infantry belt)
Oh, the humanity.
It's almost as if the game was incredibly survivor sided.
Forgive me for not weeping at the fact the devs are getting rid of a lot of the crap that was way out of hand.

- Game Balance: At a pretty good state right now actually. Slightly favours survivor if they are in a group and all play well, but on the other side it slightly favours the killer if he runs into solo players. After the upcoming patch, killer will be superior without a doubt on pretty much any level.
- Queue Times: Rank 1 on both sides, EU. Fine actually. I get faster games as a survivor but it is just minor.
About the ballancing. I am not sure about that. The upcoming patch seems to be not really well thought to an end and appiers to be more a buff for weak killers (surprise, the majority here in this forum 😯). If you count yourself to that group, you should defniitly come back, it will be christmas and eastern for you at the same time. If you are a survivor and you had trouble looping the killer for longer then a minute or two, better stay away.
Last but not least: Why would you hate yourself so much that you play WoW? ;)
Kind regards
Thankfully, after a game with my trusty Legion and a tremendous Rank reduction down to Rank 17, I had a pretty good cushion for my first killer game in months. (Survivor ranks two 16's and two 13's)
The only issues I had were the frame rate drops and the servers
I knew the dedicated servers were gonna be a burden, but I felt cheap grabbing poor Dwight in a window from 30 miles away haha, alongside other situations
FPS, I think it's caused by the weird servers, because they were spastic and inconsistent, going from okay frames to complete pauses that didn't happen before. They were survivable, but it's a good thing I wasn't a higher rank.

The only really skillfull thing survivors can learn nowadays is effective looping, but that's pretty difficult.

Perhaps when the devs observed that grey ranks, yellow ranks, green ranks, purple ranks, and even some red ranks couldn't hit great skill checks, maybe "git gud" was an insufficient remedy to the problems people were facing with Ruin.
Which is funny, because killers were inherently told to git gud when the changes were even shown.

They didn't get done dirty, the ranking system is ignored on PTB, like it always has, they knew exactly what was going to happen, they're a bunch of people who don't play and just stacked everything that had.
And please, don't ever come to me acting like dead hard is even remotely good, if you're a terrible killer that can't remember who has it then you deserve to have it used against you, alternatively, go watch any streamer who runs dead hard and you'll see how often it fails and ends with you exhausted on the floor without even going off.
You went on a whole rant about the DbD community being too soft and you're actin as if my post is heresy to even claim.
I know ranking is taken out of PTB, THAT'S WHAT DOD THEM DIRTY.
And the issue of DH not working isn't DH, it's their servers.

Do you REALLY think they expected to get a killer anywhere close to rank 20? lmfao
They knew exactly what would happen, they'd probably get a high ranked killer (because PTB ignores ranking) and they know new players are very unlikely to just go into ptb to try out a killer they're bad with.
The fact is, this community is soft, someone runs a map offering "BULLYING" Someone runs a counter perk "BULLYING". You guys are so incredibly soft it's insane.
You would think they'd use better perks if they wanted to properly compete. I mean they JUST changed Doc and 2 of them ran Calm Spirit, 3 of them had Dead Hard, a shroud, two rotten oaks, a map offering to the largest map in the game, as well as two toolboxes (one with BNP) and two flashlights.
Not sayin they were tryin to "bully" (because if you're a rank 19 trying to bully killers, you need to get a life) but dirty tactics could be at play. It's a shame their own system did them dirty with a rank 1 killer.
-
So restrict thenselves to the strongest items Killer has to offer just to compete against survivors?

balacing to acknowledge low level play isnt inherently a bad thing.
Doing so despite its impact on high level play, and not addressing any of the underlying issues that CAUSE it to be a concern at high level play, is.
If there was a way to make rank 1-20 happy on both sides, i would strongly encourage it. But ignoring a paradigm shift that exists across the player base in favor of the freshest recruits who might not even be retained, well... thats how you kill a game.
They have to overhaul the entire game if they even want to think about balancing for both low and high tier gameplay.

Came into the game when it was in a relatively healthy state (Plague's release), left right after Oni's nerf, and I come back to see this.
If it gets back to healthy, I'll come back. But, ha, let's be honest, that's not happening. Enjoy some great negative press bE.

Sorry my fellow intellectual but my argument stems from my premature ability to sense drastic unease in the community of this ruin fellow that got changed. I'm simply identifying that nobody has played with it yet. Therefore everyone is judging it before testing it
That's called predicting the meta.
People do it all the time. We wouldn't receive patch notes or update posts if that weren't the case.
And I can tell ya know, Killers are gonna get rushed and survivors are gonna get bored. Playerbase will tank once again until the devs release the next big movie dlc, playerbase will gain a whole lot of new people but just enough to keep the game above water. Next round of buffs and nerfs come in, and the cycle repeats.

Thank you someone who agrees
Commas are a wonderful thing btw.
You're either thanking me for agreeing.
Or
A poorly worded way to prematurely thank somebody that has yet to exist in the Ether.
Both are claims that stem from ignorance.

I'm not talking bad about killer mains I'm just saying you should be thankful for all these buffs and to stop complaining about changes for the better. You're not even getting as many nerfs as survivors
Ruin: Changed to only affect untouched gens, and still keeps as a hex so it breaks easily.
Balanced: Changed to not have a passive that broke maps, was different to every other exhaustion perk, and received a stealth mechanic alongside it.
Yeah man, survivors are totally struggling from their copious amount of nerfs
-
Lol why does this not surprise me?

Play a 3 gen strat. There's always a way to apply pressure. Might not be instant but you can
So essentially let them plow through gens to possibly get a 3 gen?
Wow
-
Ruin is one of the better gen speed perks because it affects all gens from the start of the match to the end as long as the hex stays up.
Personally, I like running Ruin, but not without another slowdown perk like Pop or Thrilling for WHEN it gets cleansed.
Yes Ruin is not NEEDED, but it's one of the better perks to use for early game protection. Sucks that Hex's are kinda if-y right now since hiding locations either suck and/or ignore the survivor LoS requirement.

Shut up

I love me some Christmas sweater Susie. What platform are you on? I play on Xbox and the queue's were fine last night.
PC
-
I'd add input to the Legion changes, but killer queues seem to be very very VERY LONG to the point where I have to cancel out and go to work.
But currently, I' running Thanatophobia, Ruin, Enduring, and BBQ with Green Legion Pin and Stolen Sketchbook... With the most overpowered thing in the game... Christmas sweater Suzie.
Just wish I could get into a game to play it.
-
I'm sorry did you just say that survivors are suffering? Unironically?
-
They were quick to jump on that basement bug, but left all the other bugs for the midchapter because... Who knows
-
Sure
As long as Legion gets an AK-47
-
Stealth is good to keep you out of chases, but it's not gaurenteed. I personally play half and half, running Urban and Iron Will alongside and exhaustion perk like Balanced or Lithe.
I would suggest playing stealthy, most definitely, but make sure you have an escape plan.
-
I'm very surprised this is not a thing yet.

The thing is though now survivors HAVE to mend or run, that’s it. Those are their 2 choices if hit with DW from FF.
Mending at base may be faster now, but survivors can’t just immediately jump back instead on a gen and only worry about mending once outside of Legions TR, which was a massive problem beforehand, and completely negated the stalling purpose of FF & DW.
Mend, run, or be within the TR, which most survivors stop mending by then so they can safely hide, knowing DW won't go down.

I disagree, old freddy wasn't able to protect totems or whatever he had to wait until the survivor was "sleeping" i do know what you mean with the transition and everything but that didn't change the fact that he had huge downsides when he was not able to even interact with the survivor.
Legion was always made fun of right from the start and rightfully so. Do you remember Samnation DBD Parody 5? Wraith told him to gtfo and stand in the corner before writing "NO" on his face.
I really have no idea why somebody would want to play legion? He has nothing going for him like literally every other 115% killer has a way superior power.
Wraith erased the "No" on his forehead AFTER the rework, so there goes that thought.
But his original design of Rushdown captivated a lot of people, including me. Eventually that tactic turned to slowdown, and the fans followed. It's almost like people just like what they like and don't like when it's unnecessarily changed... Poorly changed.

Entitlement much?
Imagine calling someone entitled because they have the right to say "Why did you nerf this weak killer?" with valid points and arguments.
-
This is why they shouldn't shadow nerf things last second. It's almost like the OTB exists to iron out these kinds of bugs and they didn't pass it through!
Funny that!
-
I have never seen so much drama over a change that brings a perk down to all the others within its category.

Legion is not Old Freddy, he is way worse than Old Freddy. Old Freddy was oppressive in the right hands, and consistently powerful if you are skilled enough with him.
Legion nowadays is much worse than Old Freddy.

Problem is with the new changes, that's all he's effective at. Injuring.
At least before he had perks to benefit off of said injures, but now he doesn't even have that.

Deep Wounds was a flawed and broken mechanic. Now it's not. It serves its intended purpose of wasting the survivors' time. If you're sprinting all game so your deep wounds timer doesn't tick down, then you're not doing anything productive. You can't do gens, heal, unhook, open exit gates, or search chests until you've finished mending.
Then how is it any different from injury? The timer doesn't go down when either:
In killer's TR, Running, and/or Mending.
Meaning there are little instances when the meter is actually ticking down. With the new mending times, you actually spend LESS time mending.
The map either has to be huge or the Legion has to run TR nullifying perks to even have the meter tick down, that is if the survivor(s) not running or mending outside of your 32 meter terror radius. And mind you, Sloppy no longer applies to frenzy huts, so heal times are still quick.
-
Darn, guess the devs understand the killer has to play too.
Well... At least with this particular setup.

Solutions?
- See a survivor in the lobby, holding a key? Bring a mori, get rid of them ASAP.
- Tunnel that survivor (dickish move, but it works).
- Dodge the lobby.
So the solutions are use an equally broken item, toxic behavior, or just avoid the match all together?
Wow, that's totally not completely ignoring the problems with both keys and moris.
