Disable an endgame perk in endgame.
Of COURSE.

No I love this patch, made me play killer again but still enjoying survivor having to use other perks..fun times on both sides.
I've been adoring using new OTR. It's anti-tunnel but it doesn't feel like a big middle finger to the killer. Not to mention I think OTR before the patch was really underrated, givivng you practical full stealth after an unhook.
-
I say bring the tokens back to BBQ and Chili. Make it so the range requirement decreases per stack.
Generally just buff the benefits of moving to other survivors.
(But I will say, there are some dumbass survivors who literally run INTO me several times in a match. I usually slug them, but you can only leave em on the ground for so long bedore they bleed out.)
-
What barren region do you play in? All my matches have been less than a minute queue time

it's horrendous and most agree with it. what yo'ure reading above are survivors that get used to it being a miserable experience, and if it's alraedy bad, then a little bit more bad than usual won't make the difference.
That's... Just wow. I've seen some hot excuses but you didnt even try.

this is why nurse and blight are spammed, they are the only killers that can traverse big maps with good movements
i would say the oni has the same thing, but his problem is once he activates his powers they are really awkward to control, assuming u can even find survivors to trigger your powers
It's why I've played Dredge for the past week. Never with a killer have I actually went "Ooooh Rotten Fields" until I started playing Dredge.

Just remember this, Pvp, not a cutscene. That's all you need to know.
What does this even mean?
-
Ya know when killers mention survivors are angry just because DH was nerfed?
Yeah it's people like you that are the reason why it's brought up.
-
This isnt anything new. It's a timing thing with pallete drops.
-
Yeah the mechanic kinda gears towards Killers since there's a reason to play multiple of them and have all the perks available, while with survivor it's more of a grind.
-
Who tf even plays Jonah anyway?

First few games since the new update, 2-3 survivors in multiple games using it.
Well Prove Thyself was meta before and nothing changed about it (not even the BP bonus for some reason) and since gens take longer now it's much more useful if you can wrangle your teammates, which is easier than what you may think.
-
Feela better tbh. While full tunneling seems to be a trend lately, the killers often get punished for it with several gen pops.
As someone who also enjoys killer, it's always fun seeing a killer with poor macro just give survivors PiP points. Legit I had a Deathslinger today that just camped all game with an Iri mori, realized he never actually hooked me so he couldnt mori me, and I ended up with like 32k AS SURVIVOR. Hell the team were killin it too for literally being face camped into oblivion.

I've been having a lot of fun with Overcome. Glad other people are mentioning it.
It's so good!!

My survivor experience is fine. I can't say the same for my teammates, especially since I'm in solo q. But my games aren't too bad overall.
I would hope ny teammates have a good time. I sure as hell do my best to make sure they get as far as possible in a match.

You don't play survivor if the only change you notice is the Dead Hard & Decisive nerf.
Let me put this into perspective: I would rather play the old patch with no perks then the new patch with perks.
Lol your perspective means nothing to me. For a multitude of reasons.
Lemme try to guess one.
You play to escape. Am I right?

Someone hasn't been paying attention

It legit censored Iri, Down, and frickin good. GOOD. G-O-O-D. WAS CENSORED.

@YOURFRIEND said:
I'm enjoying it as well but I've never ran meta perks. I expect most of the complaining is survivors accustomed to DH IW
Nurse is still bullshit though.
Yeah I never ran DS cause it was too inconsistent, and DH literally made me play WORSE.
And yeah, it's really hard to go against a good Nurse, but idk if that's a bad thing imo. Her range addons are bullshit tho.

"Solo Queue was ALWAYS bad"
That's a better title.
And yes, remove Trickster.

Def one of the most satisfying feelings knowing you won the game for your team, even if you die
I know SBMM doesn't seem to agree with that sentiment but hey, it's a team game. Who cares what the imaginery number thinks
Ey if SBMM wants me with teammates who need me, I aint gonna complain.

The best antidote to being tunnelled is to get good enough at chasing that the killer either gives up or get's actual tunnel vision and throws the game to kill you
easier said than done though, people say surv is so easy but hey - I don't think so.
Oh I thrive off of killers throwing the game for me.
Like if the killer tunnels me out while my team is teabagging at the exit gate, I laugh my ass off because I did my job well.

Swearing to stop using DH and IW months ago was the best decision I made
The changes barely impacted my gameplay
Same here. Once I got my hands on Overcome, I actually got good with running the killer. At least partially.
And I hardly ever ran DS. One action and you lose the whole perk, and you can only use it once. OTR is just better DS 100%. Longer period of time, Pre-nerf Iron Will, Aura Hiding, and MULTIPLE USES.

Yes run 2 perks for healing that still give you a weak self healing speed. And the -20% efficiency penalty really really sucks. So even if you wanted to devote 2 perk slots AND your item choice to healing, you get penalized. A big problem in their attempt to break the meta is they still left many solid choices for gen slowdown which are now being abused to hell, and yet nerfed survivors in some specific perks they can’t really make up for with other perks. DS is useless because of the reduced duration. The base kit BT is also not good enough because of the duration. It was a step in the right direction but now though I dont have to endure getting farmed to an immediate down anymore, it’s just delayed 5 seconds. A killer easily catches in most cases. So now healing is a hassle, gen speeds are god awful with 1-4 slowdown perks, and killers have plenty of time to camp/tunnel, which they ARE. This was a big middle finger to survivors.
Idk what Ash 4 players you're going with but my solo queue teammates often do fine.
-
@Brokenbones said:
My surv experience hasn't been agonising, it's been okay for the most part.
The worst parts for me are:
'Forever' builds, Thana being buffed
Teammates giving up/DCing even against weak killers (Nothing new but def worse now)
It's weird, I see a lot of survivors giving up when I play killer, but I have yet to see it as survivor.
It's a strange phenomenon, I know.
-
Bruh, what do you mean?
Off the Record just got a buff that literally made it the new meta perk
Botany Knowledge and Circle of Healing are still go to healing perks THAT STACK
Hell even perks like Parental Guidance can end chases instantly if you lose the killer.
There are SO MANY good survivor perks.
-
I swear at this point survivors who complain were the ones using Dead Hard/Decisive every game.
I've legit been playing survivor all day SOLO QUEUE and haven't ran into the game breaking issues they continue to spout. No eternal slowdowns, no camping, I only was tunneled ONCE by a Plague that missed her power all gane but my team managed to get several gens while I was being chased, hell even other solo survivors were doing fine (if not amazing) with gens, saves, and chases.
And ya know what I ran? Overcome, Off The Record, Lucky Break, and Empathic Connection with a Med-Kit.
I play to help my teammates survive, not just myself. That's why, out of all the perks in my arsenal, Empathic Connection is hands down my favorite.

- Kindred basekit with 12m killer aura
- Basekit BT/movement speed increased to 10 seconds
- DS stun time back to 5 seconds
- Gens take 85 seconds
Do you think that would help improve solo queue a little bit @Marigoria ?
Nope, those will benefit Non-Soloqueue players more than Solo Queue.

I never said it was the killer's fault, all I said was that this patch was meant to shake up the meta. Survivors had to suck it up and accept their fav meta being gone so now I see a huge perk variety in my games. But all killers I've encountered still brought all slowdown perks.
Most killer perks are "Slowdown"
Be it Actual Slow Down (Thanata, Gift of Pain)
Regression (Call of Brine, Pop, Pain Res)
Denial (Eruption, Corrupt, Thrilling)
Hell even Gen TRACKING (Discordance, Surveillance)
Take those "slowdown" perks out of the game and you essentially just have utility perks.
-
@Marigoria said:
I understand the game is not easy right now for solo players, specially not with the amount of killers that are stacking slowdowns and camping/tunneling in the majority of games, but please stop giving up so early.
Since the update came out I think 90% of my matches have had at least one person suicide/disconnect at 4/5 gens, and gens taking so long to repair it's impossible to escape in a 3v1.
My escape rate right now is at easily 15-20% and it sure is not because of "dead hard" since I didn't even use it before the update, but because most of my games end up in a 3v1 at 4/5 gens or everyone just slugged at the same time.
It's ok to not like these changes and how tedious doing gens is right now, but take that into account before loading up into a game and ruining the last bit of it for everyone else who is still trying their best.
"But you don't get iiiiiit! I can't use the perks i've been using for 5 fudging years and I dont know how to plat without themmmm! How am I supposed to loop the killer when I can't loop exactly three times and dead hard a fourth? The gane is literally ruinnnedddd but I still play itttttt!"

I already shared my 46 minute long legion game experience, but for your better understanding: Hex plaything, Hex pentimento, thana, scourge hook gift of pain (that also got a buff recently - so paired with thana you're screwed either way, whether you heal or not).
For your even better understanding: I played solo Q and I'm sure my teammates were solos as well.
This legion got a 4k, no doubt about that. Since solo Q sucks on its own, it sucks even more if your teammates have no idea what to do in certain situations and stand there like a deer in headlights. What I mean by that is, we had 2 boon perks on our team (I had 1 and a teammate, so I wasn't the only one able to boon a hex totem), yet for some reason the 2 Mikaelas on my team still decided to break the plaything totems even after we KNEW it was pentimento.
How am I supposed to work around that as a solo survivor? I'm sitting on a gen for what feels like ages and my teammates are being more helpful to the legion than to their team giving him more pentimento stacks.
How are your teammates being trash the KILLER'S fault exactly?
Slowdown doesn't make that happen, it just benefits off of it.
-
Yeah, that usually doesn't happen. Most slugs are to prevent a DS or find a 4k.
If you'd be able to die instantly on the ground, imagine how many instadeaths there would be.
-
Off the Record
Prove Thyself
Lithe, SB, BL, Overcome (Non-Dead Hard Exhaust perks)
Borrowed Time
Lucky Break
CoH, Shadowstep (Boons in general)
So on, So on.
If the whole meta (and at this point Survivor player base) was entirely held together by Decisive and Dead Hard, then maybe getting rid of them is the best choice.

Thana legion before the patch was a mild annoyance compared to the ones I've been facing post-patch with slowdows STACKED onto each other. Yeah, that was totally not the dev's intention to "shake up the meta" so killers wouldn't need to bring 4 slowdowns but here we are seeing it being used and abused ^^
Well lord knows if there wasn't a huge uproar about it, survivors would be quadruple stacking Endurance.
What slowdowns are we talkin here exactly? I keep seeing "4 slow down perks to win" but... No one really mentions any in particular that are a problem. And no, "Forever Legion" doesn't count cause the same would apply to Plague would it not?
-
Are you implying thana legion was fine BEFORE?

@acharliet said:
Yeah, I think Killer now needs more buffs. R u really kidding guys ? You can just play 4 slowdown perks and u win every game.

Remove the fixed camera when exiting a TV.
Maybe increase the celerity duration a bit and drastically increase the availability of her teleports. It's extremely punishing as it is and downright obsolete when dredge can do what it does.
That's why I like her but also understand she needs buffs. She should play similar if not identically to Dredge yet she is drastically weaker.
But I guess Trapper and Hag have shared that ideal too.
-
Ah yes the "No Gen Pop?THEN LOSE THE GEN" build
-
Forever this, forever that, bro it's SoloQ, you think Dweet knows how to hit skillchecks?
-
This... Is a joke right?
-
Prove Thyself was always meta... But...
*looks left*
*looks right*
Who the fudge is saying is a crutch perk? You made that up.
-
Oh I run BBQ more often now actually. And it works wonders!
Dredge:
BBQ
Floods of Rage
Pain Res
Jolt (General Free Space)
BBQ was always a good aura perk, people just liked using it for the BP. Can't blame em
-
Well when their crutches are gone, the feeble can't afford to get cocky.
-
Giving anything apart from a ping system or even a ranged voice chat would only make NON group players stronger. If the goal is to make Dolo Queue stronger, buffing survivors flat out is just not the way to do it.

Lemme guess, you tried to 360° him and failed.

I've been wanting to play more killer but killer queues seem to be 3+ mins minimum no matter the time whilst survivor queues are always under 30 seconds.
Mate 3 minutes ain't gonna kill ya. Just waste time by swapping cosmetics, coming up with new builds with the other presets, hell even read up on the lore to see what ya missed beforehand.
-
We get it, you can't use Dead Hard and Decisive anymore. Your Survivor experience is RUINED.
-
People are really overblowing "The Death of Solo Queue" thing imo.
1. Solo Queue was always trash, and no buffs to survivors or nerfs to killers will help that. You're still gonna get teammates who get instadowned by a Level 1 Pig because they got caught in a locker after blowing up a gen.
2. MMR currently is not working as intended AND a major patch that changes a majority of the game just went through WITH an extremely sought after skin collaboration. In short; people are coming in to play, be it veterans, newbies, regular players and people who haven't touched the game in years and the function that seperates those players is busted.
If ya don't wanna deal with Solo Queue, play Killer. It's not like you'll have that hard of a time against survivors, right?
