  • There's no need to villianize killers, they've spent plenty of time experiencing these same problems. This patch was a great step for them.

We need to be holding Behaviour accountable for finally giving solo queue some needed treatment now that there's a shining spotlight on how bad it is.

Killer mains for the longest whined about second chance perks, but now have even more second chance perks to help them.

The killer meta was always slowdown and the devs in an attempt to "shake up the meta" have made slowdown even stronger lmfao. They only changed the meta for survivors.

Slowdown perks are for killers who wanna over commit brainlessly to one survivor and still win without having to worry about gen pressure. You get a second chance on all that lost time you spent chasing someone with slowdown perks that are now a staple of every game.

Thana, PR, deadlock, ruin etc. the list of slowdowns and slowdown stacking is ridiculous.

Endurance stacking was an issue, but there's nothing wrong with slowdown stacking? 164 second gen?

There needs to be a hard limit on how much you can slowdown a gen and an increase in the sacrifice timer while on hook, 60 seconds does not account for new killer action speeds and how much easier it is to catch survivors now. There needs to be a stronger punishment accessible to survivors to counter camping and tunneling. OTR and basekit BT just do not make a difference in a killer who wants to camp and tunnel.

"Just run overzealous and deja vu forehead"

Don't even get me started on how strong tunneling and camping is now.

I still have zero idea where you guys are getting 164 seconds from

Ok, so you've pointed out hypocrisy. Both sides have their share of hypocrites all the time.

So what's accomplished now? Solo queue is still a mess. So use that energy towards Behaviour.

They are assuming a worst case scenario of pentimento(30%) being up & also thanat at full stacks(22%). Which, while true, anyone can heal to reduce the effect of thant(hey buffed BK, CoH, Desperate Measures), and a single survivor will 100% know where pentimento is if the killer uses it at the first chance they can. Go smash it while he's in chase with someone else.

it's not a "great step for them" I can't even play killer right now queues are endless, previous patch was better in every way except dead hard

  • Being told to adapt to longer gens has been pretty comical. How? Hold M1 with a different finger? I'm aware that Overzealous, Fast Track, Prove, etc. exist. Won't make that 15-20 minute game fun.

Also, by all means, every survivor can run Overzealous, Prove, Deja Vu in my killer lobbies. Easiest 4k of my life.

I'm not sure what your point is. That's a direct result of Behaviour never giving a ######### about solo queue and solos leaving as a result of a patch that has buffed killer games across the board.

Turns out, solo is a bigger chunk of the base than these big bad SWF god squads. Who could have guessed?

Yes, I agree with this it as been needed to be looked at for a long while. Now next I feel solo q should be looked at.

  • Warning No formatter is installed for the format not-found
  • The killer actually has to be successful for the benefits of most perks. If survivors are playing well those benefits can be denied. The killer equivalent of a counter is usually "wait it out", which also provides survivors more time to act.

  • The devs took action based on stats, not a side whining. Stop this "us VS them" nonsense, it's tiring.

Eat it, adapt, or quit and come back later.

  • I tried to warn people before the patch that a slow down meta was on the way, I was treated like a whiner and told "you can't play without dead hard".

Enjoy your 20 minute killer ques.

It's now easy to be more succesful as killer only weak killers like sadako, pig and wraith has to work for their games. But whenever I play B tier or better killer it's blowout if I don't go easy on survivors.

  • Funnily enough I haven't seen ruin once since the update.

Solo Q is what the game is balanced around. We even had overcharge nerfed specifically because it is "unfair to solo survivors". Solo survivors shouldn't get free stuff just because some SWFs get unfair advantages from voice comms. BHVR recently said the game will never be balance around voice comms.

Great step for killers, horrible for survivors.

Solo Q is only bad because of making it so great for killers. Constantly being buffed.

The game expects too much from survivors. Half of the perks don't even work (like new DH and DS), and killer perks magically works.

We can clearly see how badly balanced this patch is because meta perks like Corrupt Intervention still does exactly what it was used for. Tinkerer too. All of these are crutches and still remain in the game...."for killers".

The us vs them has been a thing long before this patch, time didn't start ticking after this update. It's only bad now because you're seeing more people be vocal about their dissatisfaction with this patch. If you don't have the stamina for discussion then, Eat it, adapt, or quit and come back later.

There's no discussion here. You just complain about a decision made by the devs, spitting to the face of a side of the community.

As I said, time is required for adjustments. The devs will do whats needed thanks to their stats. But if you want to keep wasting energy to be vocal about what YOU THINK is going on, by bringing the us vs theme card : you've accomplished nothing new. You're just being part of this vicious circle.

Discussion on what you bash anyone who doesn't have your own views. Survivors called Killers whiners and crybabys when Boons and CoH we're a major issue....when the Snowman event was being abused by survivors which caused killers to ruin the event for others.

The slowdown meta is here we can't change that no matter how much we whine and complain about it. Gen times were a issue for a long time and the Devs finally looked in on it, did they go a bit crazy yes because with the Gen increase they could of buffed different perks or adjusted the perks differently.

  • You cannot stack half of the slowdown perks if not the majority. They all counter each other out for example Ruin with any gen block perk like dead mans switch, a blocked gen doesnt regress so ruin is effectively nullified. Same goes to many others, there are still brain dead killers as you mentioned that still use all 4 slots with them but the thing is that the majority of times they didnt even do anything.

Yes there are SOME combos like for example erruption and pop but these are all combos which are most likely anyway fine and dont create much problems.

Killers frequently use the talking point that second chance perks are OP and unskilled and unhealthy for the game when survivors use them, but somehow when killers use second chance perks its not? So they lead bhvr to "shaking up the meta" for survivors only. Its hypocrisy.

Just so I’m up to speed, what second chance perks for killers are you talking about?

I don't find that the changes have made my survivor games more difficult but that there is just less room for a margin of errors.

Also just like with new killers on ptb; we will all have to endure while some survivors adjust playstyles from what no longer works.

if that's true, then they shouldn't balance the game around the top percent and SWF, therefore they shouldn't have buffed killers and nerfed survivors, cuz the game is always killer sided when against solo q. We all know solo q is the weakest role in this game, if they will never balance the game around voice com, which is literally the same as SWF, then why don't I see them done anything for solo q?

But survivors always does those mistakes/erors. Dh used to be there to give second chance but not anymore. Also killers now can get hit that they would not gotten before because faster hit cool down and pallet breaking for me that had led me being too dominant in most games so I go easy on survivors and even just let last 2 escape sometimes.

BK was absolutely not a buff.

  • The midchapter just showed how much we can trust in bhvr to balance the game. The games were never so bad for killers as is is right now for survivors.

  • I guess you can tac on ‘second chance’ to anything for killers. Thanks for clarifying as requested.

  • I've been playing survivor games and having fun. I don't get why people are so mad about gen regression I've consistently gotten AT LEAST 2 gens done each survivor game. Heck the last game I got down to 1 gen and if it weren't for being hooked in basement and the killer being between me and the door we might have won. THis is coming from someone who doesn't play survivor often so take it with a grain of salt, especially since from my experiences slowdown perks haven't been that common for me, but base gen regression increase isn't all that bad. Heck I LOST 2 survivors as blight just today. It's not impossible for survivors to win, it's just more is expected of them. Which makes sense because it's a 4v1 where the 1 wasn't preforming as well as they should have. I'd be ok with some nerfs to the gen regression perks, but I feel like people need to at least TRY to understand how to survive in an extended game before complaining that it's impossible. Sure, looping is harder. And yeah, gens take longer. But the base game is relatively the same. It's a matter of AVOIDING the killer now, unlike before where survivors could basically harass the killer and get off scott free even when they messed up.

Turns out, solo is a bigger chunk of the base than these big bad SWF god squads. Who could have guessed?

If that where true, my killer queue times would be up to astronomical levels, isntead of a minute wait, and my survivor queue times are down to 30 seconds, which indicates people are playing MORE killer. So likely a lot of solos just switched over to killer, and I'm sure a few left or are taking a break. But if it was actually massive numbers the queue times would be even more skewed, and they really aren't

  • Killers don't have "second chance" perks because, if they miss their first swing, and they want to try a second time, they just go catch up and do it.

Survivors have "second chance" perks because, if they miss a pallet throw, and they want to try a second time, they can't because they're on the ground.

So maybe being able to name examples of the latter, but not the former, doesn't really mean anything

  • @Tiufal said:

True someone without dead hard was pretty easy to down in previous patch imo, dead hard deserved a nerf but everything else is questionnable, I had 3-4k consistently and it felt good to win now it's legit boring, most chases are too quick survivors don't gain any distance

honestly it gives the impression that they're balancing the game for potato killers while nerfing solos even more (solos need buffs not nerfs)

  • What second chance perks killers even have? Noed-nerf an as an easy will be easy to deal with an then blood warden which is a ez counter by 99 gates or simply leaving before the hook. If anything sounds like your complaining that survivors lost the second chances they needed. An if we're gonna talk about whin an crying survivors been the loudest for years. Not to mention the update just came out give it time an try to play it out.

Yeah, never cared to use dh so I learned to do without. It's completely possible to do fine without 2nd chance perks. The recovery, even with full save the best stacks, doesn't prevent reaching another loop/pallet unless out positioned (that's my experience anyway)

  • Which also implies its poster plays only one role.

You can 100% stack most of the slowdown perks except for ruin. I was able to get a 3k by face camping as bubba with deadlock and PR alone.

Eruption, Dead lock, Pain res and DMS thana and all the others stack slowdown, idk what you're on about.

PR and DMS can't stack anymore so what you talking about?

hypocrisy...? you know this is an asymmetrical game?

  • Slowdown perks arent second chance perks.

  • Its like survivors have been coddled for so long that they forgot they're sposta work as a team. Find a teammate, work on a gen, heal eachother, and you'll see the changes arent as strong as everybody says. You're NOT sposta be a one man wrecking crew that can solo pop a gen in 60 seconds, take a hit from the killer, insta-heal in their face, then loop em for 5 minutes before crackin out another gen. Seriously, teamwork.

Yes tEaMwoRk but solos need to run 2-3info perks like kindred-bond that swf get for free 🤔, that's what everyone is repeating a million times kindred basekit..... and even with perks you still can't rely on your teammates in solo q

on the other hand you have to try really hard not to 4k on this update, let's be real
