Thanks everyone and @Mandy for the feedback. That's exactly what I remembered but these guys were just bragging about how they got people banned and I was like "wth, I need to confirm this is not true".
(Edit: I had tagged manboobs1980 xDDDDDDD)

EMPs print automatically. You don’t need to do it yourself unless you want to speed it up, but you usually don’t need to and can just grab one when needed. Gen camping with Singularity is probably his weakest play style as a single EMP at a gen just wastes too much time for him
He also needs most of your body visible to tag you, so you can usually position yourself so that something is obscuring you so he can’t shoot you. A twig is enough cover sometimes. Or even just sitting on the opposite side of the gen away from his pod.
Yeah, I know about that.
Some locations are very pro-blobcurity cams though. Wall facing a gen, bam, blocurity cam there. No way to hide from it. I know I'll find the way though but that's not really the question. It's that it looks like the last 2 killers were designed to be able to do similar stuff.

Singularity is actually pretty underwhelming mostly. Try to predrop if you don't have emp's. I feel whenever I go down fast it is my own fault unless outpositioned.
Sm yeah, she is terrible for dbd but you can just move next until they do something.
As someone like you who take breaks often throughout the years and play other games, I feel you. Also about d4 I was looking forward to that game for years and I am also very dissapointed, mostly because of the bad servers and lag then everything else.
I mean, I just got back like 2 days ago and I don't know how to play against them yet but I've noticed this tren. Camp gens with drones or blob-curity cams and move from gen to gen even if it means not chasing anyone around.
D4 has been such a huge disappointment... and season 1... what can I say
-
1) If you get to a point where a game upsets your or makes you mad... take a break. Games should be fun, not an anxiety trigger.
2) SWF is isually a bunch of friends who like to play together or a bunch of losers who want to bully the killer. You need to outsmart them. Most of the good survivors are gone, many of the remaining ones are troll wannabes that will DC after you down them. Don't let them affect you.

I would make it so the juice from survivors slowly recharges over time so he's not just left without a power by the end of the game. I'd be completely ok with sacrificing Tombstone piece into the fires of Mt Doom for this.
Myers is the killer I love playing against to the most. His chase music makes me anxious and I enjoy it.
The fact that he becomes useless at the end of the game and relies so much on NOED or perks like that kind of ruin the experience.

Prestige mean nothing in this game, sometimes a P1 is better than a 65... And this kind of people just get some satisfaction to be a douch, it's all, why saving people when you can just mocking them being hidden ?
BUT, technically, it's against the rule, so, try to signal them, you have nothing to loose
This I totally agree with.

Yeah the killer was fine in this game, did nothing wrong. My next game i had a Leon doing the same thing, and the game after that a Dwight that kept jumping in and out of lockers and randomly throwing pallets. I wish they got matched with each other but then I'd feel bad for whatever killer had to deal with them.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3501120#Comment_3501120
Hate when my controller does that... ;)
On a serious note, you often see people coming here wondering why some players let go on hook. I can honestly say it's often not because of the killer but because they can see their team mates being useless while they hang there.
Useless survivors are everywhere... unfortunately.
-
I just played a game vs the spirit. I was downed while someone else was hooked. None of the other two bothered coming to pick me up, they were only trying to unhook the guy and getting hit in the process.
When the spirit finally hooked me, they ran to unhook the other guy and got hit again in the processed. I tried my best for 4% and for some reason my controller dc while I had to hit the skill checks :o
-
removing someone from the match before the first gen even pops most likely guarantees that survivors will lose. That already kills the game. If you're looking for fun as a killer, you will want to engage in chases and blah blah, camping the first survivor you hook and chasing them if they get unhooked to get them killed right away is efficient, but not fun for anyone.
-
I played a game, escaped, made about 30k points, 2 pips... the other survivors in the after game chat were like "you were hidden all the time and did nothing" simply because I didn't risk my life to save one of them at the end and escaped

I would like to see a voiced Jeff Goldblum. He would fit so well.
Wait… Goldblum could be both survivor and killer 😍
-
I only try my 4% when I see the auras of my team are not even trying to get closer to me to unhook me before I reach 2nd phase or if it’s a wraith because it was already hard to play against him before SC got gutted and it’s impossible now.
-
You mean they scream before they are actually hooked? Like the sound and the action are no longer in sync… I noticed that yesterday
-
SC as it was helped us get awareness that we couldn’t get by other means because we can’t hear. I can’t hear the wraith’s bell, if it’s on my right side for example. And I can look around, yes, and I do, but it is always too late. So I can’t play against stealth killers now, I died too fast because I feel like in a void.

SC is likely bugged right now if the perk isn't notifying you when the killer is looking directly at you.
It's simply not healthy for a single perk to hard counter an entire category of killers, and SC did exactly that. The visual heartbeat is plenty accurate. Bigger size and intensity means closer, smaller size and intensity means further.
As for the issue of not being able to hear his cloak because you're hearing impaired, see below. In your case, you'd watch for it to go on cooldown.
Premonition
You have the undeniable capability to sense danger.
- Receive an auditory warning upon looking in the Killer's direction within a 45 ° cone within 36 metres.
Premonition has a cool-down of 60/45/30 seconds each time it activates.
You are sending me to a new perk with an auditory warning…

Not every perk needs to be good or useful.
You clearly don’t know the definition of the word perk then…
perk
noun [ C ]UK /pɜːk/ US /pɝːk/
informal
an advantage or something extra, such as money or goods, that you are given because of your job:
A company car and a mobile phone are some of the perks that come with the job.
an advantage:
Having such easy access to some of the best cinema and theatre is one of the perks of living in Sydney.
-
I just tried to play a game and I use SC because my right ear can barely hear and the heart is not reliable. Now I find SC doesn’t work at all, not even when the killer is looking at you.
way to kill the game again for some of us

You're not wrong that the point of a balanced game is for things to have counters, but the counterplay to Spine Chill was to awkwardly crab walk to generators so as to avoid alerting the survivors to your approach, and to avoid looking at the survivor you're chasing.
There are counters to stealth killers. One of which is a perk called Premonition. Other counters come down to being observant. With Ghostface, you can hear the sound of his cloak flapping about when he's close enough. Myers, you can hear his breathing. Pig, you can hear the rustling of grass.
Stealth Killers are very much lacking in power if they can't use their stealth. They're basically just an M1 killer with no power at that point. SC was way too strong, and too much of a hard counter against stealth killers, and M1 killers in general.
How can I hear Ghostface’s cloak if I’m deaf? Enlighten me

I don't understand what the point of the killswitch is since they rarely use it and when they do they are so inconsistent. If something is being used as an unintended exploit or is completely bugged then killswitch it until its fixed. There's SO many killers/perks/maps in the game, killswitching some because they're bugged isn't a big deal.
people simply like to complain and show how opinionated they are... if something's bugged, it needs to be fixed... call it killswitch, maintenance, whatever... it's semantics

I've got mixed feelings on Myers getting an update. On the one hand, he is severely underpowered, and also has one absolutely busted addon that does not belong anywhere near 2022 DBD. On the other hand, he has two really great things going for him that I'm terrified they'd lose. One, he's got perhaps the most dynamic, game-changing addon selection of any killer, and the result is that there are many different Myers out there and you don't know which one you're facing until the game is underway. I think that's really cool and it creates an uncertainty factor that really adds to the fear of versing him. Two is that his design, while outdated with modern game flow, is by far the most accurate-feeling licensed killer in the game.
He needs help, but that help has to be applied very carefully. I'd weep if he got the Freddy treatment. Probably the first order of business is to make it so that stalk juice slowly recharges over time and he can't run out, and then find a way to improve T1 so that it's not a straight handicap but rather something Myers can use to his advantage.
They will probably butcher him
-
People saying that this is the same as a facecamping bubba... #########...
A facecamping bubba is there and will wait for you to try and save because you still CAN... CAN = ability
Sadako blocks you and removes the ability of unhooking from you. You don't get a prompt. You CAN'T unhook even if you'd like to... CAN'T = impossibility

Thanks, it's not bait.
Genuinely curious as to why Clown got killswitched for a way less game breaking bug and Sadako and Myers simply get to prevent unhooks.
How is Myers doing it? I haven't played in days/weeks
-
My problem is that I can't go past one or two games a day... it has been happening for a week or so already. So that means I prefer to do something else at the moment, even if it's watching random videos on YT.

Prove thyself has always been a problem perk, but survivors rarely ran it because they ran 4 second chance perks instead. With the meta shakeup survivors are trying other things and realizing that prove thyself is pretty strong, too strong even. Remember it takes around 20 seconds to pick up a downed survivor and walk to a hook to hook them. Prove thyself makes 2 survivors take 45 seconds on a gen, or 3 survivors 30 seconds. You literally can't even walk across a map that fast.
Does nurse care? No, but trapper and myers sure do.
Your numbers are way off
-
@Reinami said:
It isn't fun or engaging for both sides. I just got out of a match where i literally hit like 2 survivors the whole game. They didn't even play the game, they all just ran to a pallet, immediately dropped it, i had to break it to do anything, then i go look for another survivor, rinse and repeat after 15-20 seconds. There are so many god pallets that you can't do anything and by the time the map has none left, the game is long over.
This can't be any more fun for survivors either just throwing down pallet after pallet with no mindgame or anything.
Nurses don't complain about TPing between floors with ease...

I think it just needs a rework. The suggestion I have, is as long as you have an item in your hands with charges, you can use it. It consumes the item (it breaks when you hit them with it) and you get to run away. Can only do it once a match, and disables during EGC.
It gives value to Franklin's Demise and other item perks, like Overwhelming presence. Will make a killer think twice before going for a crucial hook. Also, simply holding an item would be a deterrent. Fairly good idea in my book.
You want to make Franklin's even stronger? lol
-
I love fixated. Have been using it in every build. Also, Windows.

I mean.. it’s 1v4. It’s completely fair.
Is it really... "fair"? You're hit, drop your item, it stats depleting. If you ever break chase and go back, it's probably useless then because it has no charges. The time it takes to be consumed is so short that if you drop an item you better off forgetting about it.
-
PT is the perk that saves you from that 3-gen you can't get out from.
Nerf it? Why... it does nothing magical - the buff is not exponential.

Penalties are currently disabled for Fog Whisperers...
If that's true then that's a huge mistake. FW have always led people into DCing if they didn't like something about the match. "Oh, I was down in 10 seconds? DC".

I never at all stated it was toxic. I was asking if it was reportable.
Sorry, I forgot to quote Taxman :P
Not reportable either, the game is progressing slowlier, but progressing nonetheless.
-
It's not even toxic. There is no rule that says you need to give yourself in to the killer.
-
Franklin's. The fact that it depletes your item makes me hate it even more.

This is why I always say this game has no win conditions.
I like the fact that if I clearly outclass the opposing team I can choose to be less efficient so they can recover.
This results in more blood points for all.
I get into it and roleplay the killer. For example, as Mike, I will just stand on a hill looking menacing before slicing em up again
I like hiding inside a building showing half of my face to them so they know I'm there and I look pervy... that's all I do until they get some gens done... I watch.
-
Noed on a nurse? Not like people even make it to EGC haha
-
How many good toolboxes do you get every 50 levels? How many add-ons? The ones that really create a problem for killers, ofc.
How many games do you need to play to get those 50 levels? At an average of 15-20k per game if you're an average or higher player, you need around 75-100 games. So a survivor needs to play around 100 games to probably have around 5-10 toolboxes to make their lives easier the next 10 games out of another batch of 100? haha

A good idea but if the killer knows it's a minute they can wait just under a minute and hook someone to keep the game going.
I think a better idea would be to have a "Resign" button above the "Leave Match" button and if all remaining survivors have clicked Resign the match immediately ends. Like in Starcraft or Age of Empires.
Or... there is a 1 minute countdown. If you haven't hooked that person before the 1 minute passes they will get up automatically :P or have the option to leave the game and accelerate the bleeding.
-
Considering the hatch doesn't spawn anymore until you're the last survivor. Slugging all 4 survivors and leaving them to bleed out is a type of "keeping the game hostage" behavior.
I would include a new mechanic:
If all survivors have been downed for 1 minute, they will die automatically and the trial is over. You give that minute for survivors to be able to use perks that allow them to get up by themselves.
-
It could be a problem on my end? MMR? I don't know - Could only play one killer game today. Survivor got better after 10 PM.
-
Oh, I made a post about this too. And that FPS drop sometimes causes distortioned sound. I think my headset's cord was broken lol

There is a thing i don't get, survs complain about being "casuals who can't play", but here, i wonder where they were when i played before the patch, from my perspective "casuals" barely even existed.
This is why i have true doubts about them simply being "casuals".
Paradoxaly, after the patch, i seem to effectively go against a way much casuals, wich is great ofc, more fun.
This make me conclude there isn't that much casuals, or there is a bunch BUT they got too much babysited with overpowerful perks.
Also, there is complains about "bruh, i need to choose the same perks to have a chance to escape, 50% of the survs perks are trash tier blahblahblah"
Dude, you REALLY think it's different for us killers ? that's exactly the same ! I plead for now years for a total rework of the perks system, there is a way too much perks, they multiply over time, and we are still at 4 perks slots, what's the point ? Having 3k perks, most of them being useless because not good enough or just because they are factualy useless ? but still 4slots ? I also plead for special slots reserved for hex, even if they nerf the hex, at least, loosing "hex perks" in less than 30sec is not going to be a huge concern anymore, and it offer more gameplay to survs and killers.
Just cut the number of perks by half by combining them, end of story.
You can't be casual anymore. You either tryhard to have an attempt at winning, or die.

LMAO I was sure you were going to say this. I was going to finish by writing "you just need good teamates but they have the same MMR as you so get good and it will get better".
It’s exactly the same complaint in others games with MMR, League of Legend, Overwatch, you always have players complaining about teamates, which is cringe because they have the same ranking as you…
What you learn in this games is that some games are unwinnable because of your team (40%), some games you will get carried (40%) and only for the rest your impact will matter (20%).
You have no idea what my MMR is. Also, my team's MMR, in 90% of the cases, is not even close to what my MMR would be. I usually carry the games but can't win a 1vs1 with the killer. It could be a server thing? Probably. Skill thing? Not at all. I'm either getting competent killers and pretty new survivors or new killers and competent survivors.

He was asking for meme comments like yours though when he ended with "my blades are thirsty", because that just dissipates any air of seriousness he was trying to build.
OR you thought that him ending the title with "..." was asking people to finish the sentence with their replies, in which case I completely understand why you said that.
Exactly why I said what I said... his title was way too open to let it pass :P

Not really. Killers have little counter to gen rush now. Sure there is stil regression but the most meta builds have been nerfed. Remember how noed could carry games or how PR+DMS was effective (45s was a lot, 30s is a significant nerf).
OTR is better than old DS imho and you can stack them…
BT is basekit, it is way easier to bodyblock for someone else. Soon a S tier anti camping perk.
Nurse addons are getting nerfed. Soon Blight because survivors will realize how easy you can get value with him for little effort compared to Nurse.
What more do you need to win as survivor at this point ?
A competent team of people that can have more information on what's going on in the game besides someone being hurt or hooked. All you mentioned is pointless if there can't be some type of coordination.
-
I don't play for fun anymore. I tryhard every game to try and demolish the killer. And even then, I die most of my games.
