Quite the opposite. It has never been so easy for me as survivor.
Wolf in sheep's clothing lol

Casual players are in a bad spot now. Yes. You need to tryhard it a bit to have a semi-decent experience. And sometimes that doesn't even help you.
And by casuals, I'm talking about people that play once a week, or two at the most.
-
Me neither. Between some bad changes and the FPS drops I've been getting lately, I play one match and close it.
-
Now that we don't have old DH anymore, can we remove bloodlust? :D
-
I'm getting fps drops after being hit or when gens pop or someone else is hooked.

Like I said there is no way anyone on these forums would be able to tell without video, but that would certainly be "questionable" from how you are describing it
I found how to record video after the game, with the GeForce excerience Hud. If I ever ran into this guy again, I'll record everything.
-
This was something that was required since crossplay started... cric cric

@TheArbiter said:
Without a video its tough to say what happened, while a hacker is a possibility I think its far more likely either you or the killer had high ping
Only high ping when he punched? I thought it was it but it wasn't. And for some reason he never used his power. Not a single time. He knocked out people in the map with M1.

@NerfedFreddy said:
You must be kidding. If you want to escape (not farming bp) there is no point to unhook your teammate in 2v1 situations (and with 5 gens left). You should've let it go and given her chance to get hatch
When the killer is halfway around the world, unhooking the other survivor represents no threat.
-
@sulaiman said:
To be fair, if meg had any hatch-finding perk, i would have done the same as her. The truth is only one of you had a chance to get out at that point. You couldnt do a single gen with 4 people, so i doubt you could do 5 with 2. So i would say, dont blame the meg, blame the dc´dude.
The killer wasn't even camping. She could have rescued me easily.
-
I would bring IW back before DH.
-
I'm bringing Situational Awareness to get other survivors to help me repair... no one comes, and I see them running nearby haha

I am relatively new to this game and my survival rate has gone from 40% down to 3%.
Newbies (like me) are getting decimated by the Patch. Almost like the game is becoming inclusive for the elite only.
Great business model n' all ...
It is unfortunate but yes, it's not very welcoming to new players...

That didnt kill stealth. And IW still works pretty well if you care to stealth with it. It just doesnt work if killer finds you and you SB away or something.
Not really. I tested it with Kate, who's one of the less noisy survivors. I hid in lockers, found. I hid around places moving as the killer moved, found. No longer stealthy.

@Tsulan said:
This just sounds like the mmr is working as it should.
Survivors have been throwing matches since the patch. Lowering their mmr (and their teammates) at the same time. Now the system thinks that they're super bad and matches them accordingly.
Congratulations, you reached rock bottom. It will take time to get to a decent mmr rating again.
It sucks, tbh
-
Agreed.
Thank you,

The whole game.

What's up with all the bold caps? Why you shouting, man...

IW was nerfed... what stealth are you talking about? >_>

I'm going to play the BS Card on your estimation that 99% of killers run sweaty add-ons and camp. I think 20% is more believable.
Now, is camping higher than it was pre-patch? Definitely.
you don't know what a hyperbole is, right?

Survivor is easy mode, always has been. They balanced the game more with the last update but survivor is still easy, that hasn't changed

they should remove the doctor entirely... never been fun to play against it
-
I always cleanse because the vomiting sound is terrible and BHVR won't give us the option to remove it.
Now, I always find the fountain that's the farthest away possible from what I'm doing so she needs to get out of my gen.

You'd be wrong with that guarantee. I play mostly SoloQ and getting to Iridescent IV is a breeze and that's enough for 700k BP on the 13th if I don't make it higher. When I actually do get Iri I as a SoloQ I feel like I've actually earned something.
Getting Killer Iri I is much easier.
Do you think you should just get a free 2 million BP every month on the 13th? Or should you have to earn it like the rest of us?
Getting to iri hasn't been an accomplisment for years
-
Play survivor or git gud.
-
They're stoopid.
They are proving no point in the end.
-
I was iridescence 4 a couple of days ago... I'm Gold 1 now haha
I get a pip, I lose 3. Mostly to campers.

I'm telling them to get good because they think the killer is currently uncounterable because of said bug. He's not, it quite literally is a skill issue. Asking for a Killswitch because of such an insignificant bug is deserving of a 'git gud'.
I have a hard time playing against Nemesis sometimes. I have problems hearing and the fact his sound is bugged sometimes makes it even worse. Let alone the fact that when he hit someone on the other side of the map you could hear the sound... was that even fixed? Can't even remember

Prove Thyself and toolboxes received no changes on this patch. You can pretty much imagine how oppressive they were back then when there weren't the extra 10 seconds on a gen.
that's why you didn't need them back then, it was a plus

@Crowman said:

Prove Thyself gives other survivors a buff icon indicating you have it and you can choose to work on a gen with someone else is working on. Prove Thyself really shines at getting a key gen done quickly that could otherwise be hard to finish.
Only if you're close to them. I would probably increase that radius. Sometimes you don't even see the icon until you're onto the gen where the PT owner is working.

What would the results have been had you used good addons and try harded with efficient tunnelling and camping survivors to death? I bet they'd be higher....a lot higher.
Which is what 99% of the killers do: get their best add-ons and camp to death
-
One of the main issues DbD has is that the level of effectiveness drops tremendously from 4 to 3 survivors alive to the point you can't never win a game if you're 2.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3112191#Comment_3112191
Okay and?
Prove Thyself was being ran enough before that people were complaining about it being too good. A bunch of perk nerfs happened and now a perk that was already considered good is being ran more.
How is PT good in a game where you're alone and people won't stick around to repair gens with you? If only it showed the aura of your gen so other could know then yes, it would be really good

Killswitch is for GAME-BREAKING bugs. Every killer in the game currently has bugs. And every survivor has at least one animation bug, and some perks have bugs as well. Do you want to Killswitch the entire game?
This isn't game-breaking, it won't, and shouldn't, be killswitched.
You're telling people to git gud because they say the killer is bugged... nothing to do with the killswitching ;)

If you really believe that survivors weren't running prove thyselves or toolboxes before slowdown became killer meta, then you are really blinded by your own bias.
Killer has always been an uphill battle and trying to control gens and get hooks. Survivors have had many nerfs towards repairing gens (old toolboxes, old bnp, and now time to repair).
it didn't feel necessary before, it does now

Nemesis 2.0
-
@JHondo said:
It is a vicious cycle. Survivors start to struggle and killers decide, instead of trying new combos or picking perks to compliment powers, to start four stacking slowdown and regression perks. Survivors in turn start bringing what they can to push gens faster. Next up we will be seeing more and more complaints of Nurse, Blight, Endgame builds, Franklin's and whatever else killers can pull out to counter the toolbox and PT play style.
well, I've seen Franklin's a lot more these days...
-
I wish that also worked when you reach 100% before you reach the hook but the hook animation beats you to it... all.the.time.

I'm out after a couple of games. I spend more time on the forums than on the game itself.

Like now that people have adjusted to the new meta Im seeing constant prove thyselves like literall the past 7 matches I have seen 2 or more prove thyself in 3 of them and only 1 match had no prove thyselves. I never really ran slowdown but now people are bringing provethyself and stacked toolboxes to counter other killers slowdown Im feeling pressured into it. Most of my games recently have been going 1st survivor holds W and predrops 5 or 6 pallets and in the meantime like 2 gens pop on the other side of the map. Like I have been trying to get devour to work but it feels downs come too slow in comparason to gens and it ends up just being the endgame where i realistically wouldve been better off running like NOED Bloodwarden or something along those lines. I feel like people are being so prepared for the slowdown meta that it feels playing anything else other than slowdown isn't all that viable.
well, they told survivors to git gud for days and to adapt... they adapted and now we hear complains about other perks and items because survivors can never win :D
-
@PapiFelixPSN said:
No. Neither of those killers have game-breaking bugs. Stop blaming bugs for your own lack of skill.
Wow... had a bad day?
If there is a bug, there is a bug... no matter how game-breaking it is.
And nemesis having sound effect issues is BAD a lot of times.

You didn't even read my comment didn't you?
Don't reply to Marik, he can't get his head outta his a**.

Today I finally had to admit it. They don't care.
-
I should probably go to every "Thana was nerfed" thread and comment things like:
"Don't complain, it's time to adapt to changes"
"git gud"
"You need to give it time until you can adjust to the new meta"
"You don't need to rely on a perk to win"
It's the kind of comments survivors have been getting since the patch.
Also, the fact that you complain about Thana and you double the bet by trying to get more survivors perks nerfed because you had your crutch perk nerfed is hypocritical.

They're getting me. I have 6,500 hours and I think like 50% of the killer games I played today had MULTIPLE survivors with less than 10 hours. Sometimes collectively the group had a combined amount of 10 when I checked.
It gets to the point where I will intentionally throw and make horrible plays just because I have 8 hooks at 5 gens with no progress and these guys are just gonna have a miserable time. Then I start whiffing, walking into obvious camped pallets just so these poor people don't have their first experience in a game ruined by someone with a thousand times the hours they have :/
Exactly what I'd do.

Its working as how it says it should be working.
It activates at 90%? Check
It keeps going until you let go/fail a skill check or the gen is completed? Check
The PR regression happens without interrupting survivors? Check
So there is literally no reason why it shouldnt work. You can say this is unforseen and devs decided to change it, which is completely fair. But you have to stretch it really wide and uncomfartably to the point we probably need to go to ER afterwards to call it a bug.
It didn't work like that before. If you got a gen to 90% and you failed some of the skill checks, etc, when you went back to it you didn't get the MS skill checks anymore.
-
@HeehoRacketeer said:
So here's the things about what you said:
-BT is a perk from Bill, who is in the base game. DS is a Laurie Strode perk, from The Evil Within chapter which is a licensed chapter. Giving every player a perk from a DLC that BHVR does not 100% own would probably breach some part of their contract with (whoever owns the Halloween franchise). It made more sense and was less dangerous to give people a free perk that everyone could get with some grinding instead of a perk from a paid DLC.
-Blocking windows that you vault for a time is a powerful tool, as it impedes survivor routes for escape. Pallets don't block survivors only killers, but killers can remove dropped pallets. Windows are stuck in place and for the killer to be able to block them is too strong for a base killer effect.
-I don't have anything for this point, but I do agree that "difficult" checks don't do much to impede progress unless survivors aren't paying attention or ditch the gen mid-check)
The perk is BHVR's. That's why they removed Stranger Things and everyone got the chapters' perks for free.

I feel like sometimes people forget that the queue will spit you into a match with anyone, if they have or you have been waiting. The MMR will disregard your rank and your opponent's rank entirely, just so you can get in a match and play.
my survivor queues are 0 seconds. I press READY and I find a game. You're telling me I'm being matched with new killers because it's only me that's playing? :P
