Going against 4 Adrenalines, 4 Unbreakables, 4 Decisive Strikes, and 4 Exhaustion perks and getting called bad when all 4 survivors escape is the thing that ticks me off the most.
Why do I always get these survivors when I just prestiged, am doing a daily, or playing a new killer. Like, yes, of course you destroyed the Clown who doesn't have a full grip on his power with only Bamboozle, congratulations.
-
Hopefully Kate gets a collection with Deathslinger. Two country characters, come on BHVR! You have a huge opportunity here! Kate can finally wear a cowboy hat on her head!
-
DS. Having to keep mental notes of who I hooked and when on top of all the other ######### killers need to keep track of is crazy. Then there's the times I down and hook one to two people and STILL get hit with DS. Like, no, I wasn't tunneling, the survivors are just potatoes and I'm stomping them like I should!
-
Welcome to Disturbed Ward, where if a survivor runs to the central building you have to drop the chase! Guess where all the survivors know to run to? The central building? Ding ding ding, correct! You win a free Depip and teabags at the exit gates!
-
I've been messing with Monitor, Devour, Nurses, and BBQ and getting good results. Monitor let's you sneak up for easy instadowns with Devour, and the two best aura perks in the game lets you find survivors easily.
-
Devour Hope is really good if it stays up because reeling and hitting counts as a basic attack. Anything that one shots basically.
-
I didn't like the forced team aspect in Apex. Heard about Apex, downloaded it, played my first game and promptly got my squad killed, then uninstalled and booted up DBD. I dunno, I just don't like having the weight of a team on my shoulders and the feeling of letting them down. Guess that's why I like killer better than survivor.

That isn't really a valid response. The difference with a killer is:
1. You have no items to buy at all. You only buy add ons.
2. You earn on average more bloodpoints as a killer in each round and majority of killers use BBQ so that doubles your blood points too.
3. Killers always make it to the end of a round so it would mean they would keep their add ons forever once they were bought. They can't die mid trial and lose their item/add on.
What are you talking about on number 3? Killers always lose their addons after a trial unless they have a Black Ward.

I believe they stopped making splinters after The Pigs DLC, so Killers like Clown, Spirit, Legion, Plague, GhostFace, Demogorgon, and Oni don't have splinters, so the idea of new splinters was abandoned a long time ago.
Your guess is as good as mine on why they stopped making Splinters after The Pigs DLC, but the idea of Demoing Killers was really limited anyways... so instead of making new Splinters for every new Killer, it was a better idea to retire them (Or so my theory goes).
With the introduction of Clown came the store and the ability to buy original killers for shards, so I can see why they didn't have splinters. As for Demo and Ghostie, no clue.
-
I think they should be kept, for the licensed killers at least. For original killers, you can buy them for free with Iridescent Shards, but have to pay money for licensed killers. Now you have no way of trying them out to know if you should or shouldn't buy them. Ghostie and Demo didn't even get splinters, so they should get them and bring the others back.

Are you able to say how you finally got Bunny Feng's hood to work?

I'd like to formally welcome you all to the new Dark Times, where every hook has multiple opportunities to be denied, from pick up to actually hooking.

Woo! Here's to killers worldwide being the survivor's playthings before gens are pumped out in 5 minutes before the killer can get a single hook, then when they finally do get a down, all nearby hooks are saboed and bodyblocked!

@arslaN said:
Are you guys really surprised by this? Those numbers were pretty insane on the ptb.
So are Sabo changes, but did that get changed?
-
Spine Chill is a must. If he's running M&A he can sneak up on you and snipe you before you even hear his Terror Radius.
Dead Hard is good all around and can dash through harpoons.
Maybe Resilience, considering you are going to be injured and in Deep Wounds a lot of the time.
Urban Evasion to play sneaky and hide from him all around.
Or you could just run the meta DS, Adrenaline, BT, and Dead Hard and destroy him.
-
Gearhead got nerfed as well. Clearly Gearhead was the best perk in the game and absolutely broken. /s
-
Don't forget the ABSOLUTELY INSANE amounts of feedback that Deathslinger is perfectly fine and not weak at all, and that new Sabo is perfectly fine.
-
Don't worry though dropping a survivor only gives 25% wiggle progression now. 🙃
Slug meta it is then.

I've seen a total of like 4 female streamers that main killer the rest of them all play survivor and never touch killer it's not just women who play survivor there's double the amount of men who main survivor than women from (my observations) it's just due to survivor being the popular and easier role to play, you can jump in easily and do well with a team.
This. Streamers play survivor to relax and read chat. You simply don't have time to give attention to the stream or chat as killer unless you are stomping the survivors.
-
11 AM EST.
-
Ghostface and Spirit's kill rates are really surprising. Ghostface is one of if not the best of the basic M1 killers, and Spirit is arguably the best in the game.
-
New survivor, Pyro from TF2.
-
Better hitboxes for his harpoon and a way to drag survivors over pallets.
-
I've got 1 million BP stored up, 90K in Dailies, and around 250K in unredeemed Tome challenges. Yeehaw partners! 🤠
-
I like it, but as others have said, 3 seconds is way too short to get anywhere useful or safe. Maybe increase it to five seconds at the cost of Exhaustion not going away on hook for this specific perk?
-
@Tactless_Ninja said:
I think the killer should get a can of kerosene and burn half the map. That'll slow gens.
Killers need a tactical nuke. Every survivor is instantly sacrificed.
-
@thenegativone said:
How is left behind supposed to help? It only works when the hatch is already open..
You can lure the killer nearby/act like you don't know where the hatch is and play immersed until the killer finds it then go and open it.
-
Spirit, debatably Nurse. Spirit is probably the most consistent with her performance and much easier to pick up than Nurse. If you dedicate every waking second to getting good with current Nurse, then maybe you could consistently outperform Spirit. Also Spirit doesn't get cucked by certain maps as consistently as Nurse.
-
I really like this idea. Would add a whole bunch more charm to the characters. Wouldn't be hurting anything and I think it would be really nice to mess around with the other survivors. But seriously BHVR, finger guns when?

Just take the DS stun! If you can't take 5 seconds out of your trial being stunned, you shouldn't be complaining about DS.
Take.
The.
Knife.
But it's not just a 5 second stun. It's a five second stun and that survivor is back into the game and doing gens if you don't decide to chase them, or a 5 second stun and a god knows how long chase depending on the map and tile spawns if you do chase them. DS can completely prevent a killer from snowballing or stop it if they have already begun snowballing. Getting off a gen for a minute or so while the other survivors are on gens most likely isn't going to cost you the game, unlike picking up DS and taking the stun.
-
Except it literally is a punishment for survivors ignoring totems? The killer doesn't have the power to force NOED to activate, it is in the survivors hands. Don't want NOED to activate? Do totems. Don't ignore totems then start crying when you die to NOED.
-
Ace in the Hole and Plunderer's Instinct. Getting something like a Commodius Toolbox with Instructions and Socket Swivels, or a medkit with a Styptic mid game right when you need it is crazy.

Clown and Legion ARE good tho. Youbmeed to know what you are doing when playing them.
Clown and Legion... good? What alternate timeline DBD are you playing? It's no secret that Clown and Legion are objectively the two worst killers in the game. You can know what you're doing as Clown and Legion and still end up with a 1K. No map pressure for either, Clown's power barely stops loops, Legion's stun is so punishing using their power is more of a hinderance, neither power has any lethality, Deep Wounds is a joke of a status effect, Intoxication is too, causes more headaches than downs at this point. Can you have fun with them? Yes, absolutely. Are they strong? As far from it as possible.
-
@ChiTenshi said:
A perk that partially counter the "Blind" status effect may be something to add. Something that ignores the status, but has set restrictions/requirements.
Sounds like a good idea, especially with the devs wanting to bridge the gap between solo and SWF, as they did with Kindred. Blindness is underrated against solos, but terrible against SWF. I would argue the only useless status is Hemorrhage.

Well to be fair Cursed Legacy had no gore what so ever, just vroom and big dude. This one at least has the atmosphere, a bit of blood, and that screaming. man that sounded brutal.
Don't forget that dead stare at the end as well. Sent chills up my spine.

Devs have an extra week. If Sabo changes go live the way they are in the PTB I will eat my own pants.

Yes all four survivors have 2 lifes and it means you have to participate in 12 chases ... nice calculations!
No, they have 3, ideally. 1st chase where you hang and get unhooked. 2nd chase = struggle phase, and you can get unhooked again. 3rd chase = death hook, meaning you have to chase them 3 times if they get unhooked every time. Translate that across 4 survivors, you have twelve chases minimum.

Tunneling, camping and slugging need to go. No discussion worth it.
But why? That's like saying looping needs to be removed and not discussing it. You can't just say "Remove these totally valid strategies that have been in the game since release" and not have a discussion as to why they should be removed.
-
Unfortunately, the DLC has been delayed to next week. As for what time they usually drop, around 11:00 AM EST. So be ready on March 10th at 11:00 AM EST.

I literally just linked something that shows patch notes for Oni, the most recent killer, were released a day early... what makes you think tomorrow?
That was for one chapter. They've released the patch notes the day of pretty consistently if I'm not wrong.
-
Removal of the pallet vaccuum. Seeing survivors teleport all the way to the other side when you should've gotten a hit was infuriating. Then there was the week or so where everybody dropped pallets on the wrong side because they were used to just teleporting to the other side which was hilarious.
-
For Deathslinger, make it so that a survivor blocking the chain doesn't make the chain break faster. You can still body block, but at least Deathslinger will have a chance to still get a hit. Also making the chain a bit stronger would be nice, or hell, just make him 115%.
For Clown, make the reload gradual. Instead of one 5 second reload, make it so that you get 1 bottle per second. Also, up the base bottle count to 5, and get rid of the ridiculous slowdown he gets when he throws a bottle.
I really like the idea of your Wraith and Huntress changes. Doesn't seem like it would make them OP, and would even help Huntress with pressure on larger maps, making the choice to have no hatchets for more map pressure.
-
Anyone remember Howling Grounds? Basically, for the first week or so of the event, devs did some coke and made it so that if a killer was stunned or blinded at any point during the pickup animation, they would drop the survivor. Naturally, to benefit off this, all survivors brought flashlights. With the longer pickup animations back then, not even Lightborn would be enough to counter it. Survivor downed under a pallet? Too bad, free escape. Survivor downed in the open? Tough #########. Thankfully, this change was reverted pretty fast, but holy hell, Howling Grounds was basically unplayable for a week. Still being fairly new, having started in January 2018 as a Wraith main of all things, Howling Grounds was hell.
https://youtu.be/qnwdPlx9yR4There's footage of the change somewhere in here. I would watch it myself again to find the specific times but this video triggers my PTSD of how bad DBD used to be.

They already have a fix for this, which is currently on PTB. Pretty sure we get THAT patch tomorrow so... "hook tech" will be dead soon.
Tomorrow? Don't they usually release on Tuesdays?
-
Yes, it is free. Only liscenced characters need to be bought with Cells.
-
Sorry I haven't quite figured out how to leave the map after hooking someone.

Could you maybe show a screenshot? It probably isn’t if it can be avoided and isn’t game breaking.

Moving onto the maintenance side of things, to prepare for Mr. Quinn's arrival, I have ordered a large amount of bullets. He has also requested me to find any scraps of meat, no matter how rotten. I've gathered some from the pigs on The Game and various corpses. He won't say why, but I think he's taken a liking to the vulture in the lobby screen. I've heard him cooing over "Nibbles" countless times now, but bringing it up only gets his rifle pointed at me. He's got a sweet spot for cute animals. Maybe once he officially arrives in the Entity's realms I'll take him to see Moo Moo and Maurice.
-
Ghostface and Nea. Sneakiest survivor and the sneakiest killer, sneaking around together.
Deathslinger and Kate. Country guy and gal, the vulture and songbird. Deathslinger enjoys Kate's songs. H̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶f̶i̶n̶i̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ ̶l̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶l̶a̶p̶ ̶w̶h̶i̶l̶e̶ ̶s̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶i̶n̶g̶s̶ ̶h̶i̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶l̶e̶e̶p̶.

Legion after getting nerfed again and basically being replaced by Deathslinger

Which killer's mori is their favorite? I know Almo said they liked Huntress. Genuinely curious what all the devs answers are to this.
