I'm actually excited for the new Legion outfit for Julie. The body cosmetic makes her look like a pyromancer from DS2 and it's great. : P

Other than that, the Movie GF.

Wait, Nancy's getting a hunter outfit? Is that the red jacket outfit in season 1?

Pretty sure, IDK what to call it, never watched Stranger Things, but it looks pretty similar to this outfit.

  • Totally forgot about the Dia De Los Muertos skins for Legion, Jane, and David, sorry everyone.

  • Some people just think "UwU she's so cute she doesn't want to kill anyone but now she has too I feel so bad but she's relatable" and some people are just nasties. Some people just like the look of the cosmetic, with the hoodie and skirt and pink hair.

So you say yay no insta heals. What bout insta downs.. bet you don't agree with that or ibony mori right... get rid of one op side but not the other... ok

Instaheals had to go. Way to easy to use and obtain and they just deleted the entire chase. And hey, I would be all for a Mori rework as well, make Cypress basekit, change Ebonies, and leave Ivories as they are. As for instadowns, no, they are perfectly fine. Devour Hope can be completely negated, they aren't going to change a killer's power to get rid of their instadowns, like Ghostface, Myers, Billy, and Leatherface, and killer specific instadowns can be avoided by outplaying them such as avoiding Billy's chainsaw, looping Myers or Ghostface until the duration runs out, ect, NOED can be destroyed before it even activates, and Rancor can be avoided by playing stealthy or just by playing well in general and leaving when gates are open. Instadowns are fine, you can run the new Styptic to counter them if need be.

TLDR: Instaheals had to go, Moris need a rework now, and Instadowns are fine.

I'm curious, were med-kits overall changed or just certain add-ons?

They also finally got rid of instaheals! Styptic, the purple one, gives 15 seconds of Endurance, basically BT or MOM, and Syringe, the red one, heals passively over 8 seconds. Good riddance.

  • Trying to read Holly Wreath Wraith nearly gave me a stroke, but I like the idea.

  • Good.

~Hugs and kisses, every killer ever.

  • I feel like the best option for hoods would be to have it connected to the hoodie as an entire body piece, and then have the head cosmetic be completely separate, I mean, that's basically what they did with Legion's hoods.

    Edit: Nevermind, Peanits is here.

  • Nurse is getting a big nerf, we'll just delete Spirit, make Billy refuel his chainsaw at lockers after 10 seconds of use, Huntress only get one hatchet, and we can bring back old Freddy, then all the problems in this game will be solved! /s

But seriously, no. We can't just get rid of all the strong killers. The devs are probably going after Spirit next, and then maybe Billy, killing all potential for killers against SWF and then the game can become teabag simulator.

  • I feel like most people are jumping the gun simply because it was mainly advertised as an addon rework for the longest time, and more recently was advertised as that plus a slight change, keyword being slight. Everyone is scared because Legion got completely thrashed, and those were advertised as slight changes. Everyone's PTSD is acting up. I personally disagree with the changes, but hopefully they change it in the PTB if there is enough outcry and it really is as bad as it seems.

  • @Elegant said:

Nurse base is not fine and it 100% needed a nerf. No way to logically argue against it

You can definitely argue that, although I feel that the most problematic part of her kit was her addons such as 5 blinks and Omegablink. I feel like they overstepped "slight change", depending on how it plays out, it could be a huge gamechanger, at worst completely ruining Nurse, but at least we get to test it during the PTB so hopefully the devs listen if there is enough outcry.

  • @Boss said:

Good thing that this is for the PTB then.

It's not like these changes are set in stone.

If it turns out to be trash, they may re-think their entire approach.

True, we'll just have to see how she plays out. Here's to hoping she turns out alright in the end.

  • @TheBean said:

You do know... The Nurse was released over 3 years ago...

It is about dam time she got some updates.

Updates and an addon rework, not completely trashing her base power.

  • REFILL CHAINSAW AT LOCKERS

But seriously, here's to hoping BHVR actually buff some of the weaker killers instead of nerfing stronger ones. Sending out a prayer to Bubba, Clown, Trapper, Doctor, Wraith, and especially Legion.

  • @ad19970 said:

She's barely slower than survivors though during the last 3.5 seconds. It just gives survivor the opportunity to break LOS, the only counterplay they have against Nurse.

I could see them decreasing the cooldown of a blink to 2.5 seconds, I think that would be fine as well. Anything beyond that though I don't think would be good. Survivors having a bit more counterplay against Nurse is a great thing.

As others have said, counterplay isn't just completely removing the thing survivors had trouble against, counterplay would be something like removing scratch marks for the fatigue period, which while still a bit much, a good Nurse could still play and work around the counterplay. This is just completely removing any chance for Nurse to win a chase.

  • @Financial_Stability said:

People who don't play her won't understand just how valuable being able to follow up blinks immediately are. They just get smashed by some Nurse, refuse to learn how to utilize her counterplay, then call for nerfs.

Unfortunately tis the case for killers. Now I'm not saying that killers don't refuse to learn counterplay too. Like people asking for a Dead Hard nerf. But the problem is you can just drop that perk for something like Balanced Landing. You cannot just drop an entire killer because of some unnecessary nerf. Might be the case for Billy or Spirit soon.

  • @CrowFoxy said:

Yes people don't seem to realize with two blinks if the survs keep running she will never catch up unless they make a big mistake lmfao

Yes, I mean, these changes are quite frankly ridiculous. We might have another case of Legion on our hands. They gut her, leave her for dead, and visit her months later to fix some bugs, rework an addon or two, or give her a cosmetic. BTW new Legion cosmetics when?

  • Phillip(Wraith), Susie(Legion), Danny(Ghostface), and Demogorgon hang out in Autohaven together. Phil is the dad of the group, keeping Danny and Susie in check. Susie is the little sister of the group, trying her hardest and being a pain in Danny's side. Danny is the older brother, messes with Susie but cares about her deep down. And Demogorgon is the family pet.

  • Wraith and Billy. Chainsaw sprinting while survivors can barely see you.

  • NOED is fine. A match with 3 perks when you could be running something like BBQ, Nurses, Sloppy, or any other meta perks. As with all other Hex Totems, it's a huge gamble for the killer, they choose to run the risk of not having it activate. Just do bones, it isn't that hard, you have Small Game, maps, and get 1000 points for every totem. Just because it's a secondary objective doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. YOU are choosing to bite the bullet and not do bones. YOU are choosing to ignore doing bones and rush gens, and act surprised when NOED hits. It isn't hard to find totems if you are just walking around the map looking for gens. Cleansing a totem for 12 seconds isn't going to kill you, unless they have TOTH, which case it might.

  • @Kebek said:

I get 4 man kills with that build on high ranks pretty often. It's really fun to play so I do it quite often hence why I think that achievement isn't that hard to get.

It's not really just getting a 4K with this build is hard, its incredibly easy. The problem is killing everyone with Tombstone, which can be prevented in so many ways by survivors, with lockers or waiting for EGC to run out. It isn't hard to 4K at all, but killing them specifically with Tombstone is the thing that sucks.

  • On top of that, they can make masks for killers who wear them. Do you know how much money they are sleeping on by not making Trapper masks, Legion masks, Huntress masks, or even Plague's headdress?

  • IMO, Iri Heads BY THEMSELVES aren't broken. One hatchet. Takes some skill to hit hatchets, and using only one really puts the pressure on. Iri Heads become broken when combined with Infantry Belt, because if you have the slightest idea of how to play Huntress you are practically guaranteed to hit at least one hatchet.

  • @ColonGlock said:

I have not done this one as it requires a BP investment in add ons each try, and it is very difficult to pull off.

If it helps any I saw a guy almost do it by using insidious at gens. Survivor turns the corner and dead. There should be some YouTube videos of others doing it so maybe take a look.

I have no intention of trying it until I have a huge stockpile of the required add ons.

I tried it yesterday with the 3 addons of each I had. Last one hid in a locker and waited for EGC after I closed hatch, the other times people DCd. Proceeded to get called a sweatlord because of my addons.

  • @Mr_K said:

    Don't forget the DC.

OMG yes. Every. single. time. You kill one person and bam instant DC. DCs should auto count for the achievement.

  • The only dailies that pay out are the Mors Ambitio, just mori 1 survivor and get 60,000 BP.

  • Dude, Myers is so weak, they should just make Tombstone and Tuft basekit and give him instant tier 3 with 3 Play With Your Food stacks, do you know how hard the timing is for using Tombstone?

  • Ghostface if you want to be stealthy and get easy 1 hit downs. Legion if you want to slow the game down, the best Legion build would probably be Sloppy Butcher, Thanatophobia, Dying Light, and either Nurses or BBQ, use Frenzy to hit everyone and slow the game down to at most, a constant 34% debuff to gen progress. Combined with the Mangled effect from Sloppy, people will either not heal and take the 16% debuff from Thana alone, or heal through Sloppy, which takes a fair bit. Ghostface can benefit from the standard killer build, Brutal Strength, BBQ, Ruin or Devour Hope, and I would recommend Discordance, since you will mostly be staking people on gens, it lets you know when you can stalk at least 2 people, and you can earn some cheeky downs.

  • How has no one mentioned Hag? The moment one of her Phantasms pops up you already know you would be dead of a heart attack, not to mention you can never really see her traps, as they blend in so well with the dirt.

  • I feel it could be possibly meta if the cooldown was shorter.

  • Can confirm. They reek of Axe spray, blood, and sweat.

  • I feel you man. Being the degenerate that I am I play Susie, and was really hoping for a Hallowed Blight skin for the edgy teens, but alas, we've to date only gotten one new cosmetic, being Joey's High Vis Horror. After Legion's "rework" they've just completely left them for dead, which doesn't make sense from a marketing standpoint really. They have 4 characters rolled into 1, they could have a bunch of cosmetics for Legion if they really wanted to.

  • Bill. Was originally Meg for her teachables, then Ace because Bill wasn't on console. Considered becoming a Steve main solely for the Scoops memes but decided to stick with Bill. I've poured countless hours into Left 4 Dead and always picked Bill, I like the grumpy old war veteran character. BTW, Coach survivor when? I wanna be a one man cheeseburger apocalypse.

I know you said serum and I know that’s what it should have said, but my brain still read “sperm.”

Putrid Sperm. All the Hallowed Blight cosmetics are the same except the orange serum on all the skins is now mysteriously white.

Wow, someone that doesn't agree with me but actually has a good idea to solve the problem. If this were added I'd probably make them a bit more frequent, maybe for 2/3 days after a new chapter has been released. However, this is a reasonably good idea.

Yeah, the way I see it is during the Anniversary, bring back exclusive skins from events that happened during the year, like last year would have had the Hound Mask for Huntress, David's Donkey Jacket, Kate's BBQ shirt and Billy's Pro-Pain Hammer. It would be nice to see what happened in the past year, as well a putting a sale on all cosmetics that were released in the past year. Releasing them for a few days after a chapter is released sounds good too. The only exclusive that is completely off limits is Legacy skins. You should never, NEVER, be able to buy Legacy skins. Unless they find a way to reduce the grind and release another type of Legacy, it should remain exclusive to the people who trucked through the nightmarish bloodwebs when they first released.

  • What I'm concerned with is frame rate, specifically during things like becoming exposed or gaining bloodlust. The frames take a huge hit whenever something like this happens, and if you're running around a loop as Demogorgon or Trapper you constantly lose frames because of the glowing portal/trap indicator disappearing and reappearing like the game can't handle it, although because it's console, they most likely won't be able to do much about it.

  • As some other people said, they should make them exclusive to that even, with the cosmetics coming back every now and then for a special sale or something. Maybe during Anniversaries all exclusive event cosmetics become available in the store?

Ms Piggy deserves something. Everybody loves her. 😢

    *Everybody loves her stun sound.

  • Firstly, all non licensed killers are out the window, save up Iridescent Shards for them. Michael is mid tier, with pretty meh perks, except for Dying Light.

Leatherface is low tier, but could be worth it if you don't have BBQ and Chili yet, simply for reducing the grind, and the aura reading is pretty good.

Freddy is in a really good spot, pretty strong and fun to play killer, with some alright perks.

Amanda I would watch out for, considering the devs keep nerfing her and nerfing her. IMO, she's a worst Ghostface with a mediocre slowdown tool, with the only notable perk being Surveillance, and Make Your Choice on certain niche builds.

Ghostface is really good, coming from a biased part time Ghostface main. He gets easy instadowns if you're stealthy enough, although his perks are lackluster.

  • They just REALLY need to shorten the 4 second stun after Feral Frenzy. That's the big thing holding them back. It's at the point where Feral Frenzy is slower than walking simply due to the stun, it's ridiculous.

Feeling rewarded in this game can genuinely be hard for some players. So rituals in DbD is such a great concept since it still gives you gratitude for succeeding something even though you lost a round. But as you progress through ranks, rituals really turn into more of an errand than a task. You just have to heal, do gens, get saves, get into chases, rinse and repeat etcetera, etcetera... This repeat gets so boring and loses that gratitude.

So I think adding more fun challenging rituals would give the game more of a funner atmosphere for bigger ranks. For say, staying broken for 1 trial, or getting head on stuns, something like that.

    What y'all think?

IMO, that sounds great. As killer, it becomes "Oh boy, time to get destroyed during the next trial because I don't know how to use this killer" and as Survivor is becomes "Let's just get in the killers face/farm teammates"

    Some suggestions for new Dailies

Unhook yourself from the hook once.

As the Shape, down X survivor(s) while in Evil Within Tier 3.

Hit a survivor immediately after they use Dead Hard.

Flashlight Blind the killer X time(s)/save a survivor from the killer's shoulder with a flashlight.

    Escape a chase X time(s).

As the Plague, down X survivors with Corrupt Purge.

    Stun a killer with a pallet X time(s).

As the Nurse, hit X survivor(s) without blinking.

As the Doctor, cause X survivor(s) to reach Madness 3.

As the Legion, hit X survivor(s) with one use of Feral Frenzy.

As the Spirit, interrupt a survivor working on a generator.

As the Clown, hit X survivor(s) directly with a bottle of The Afterpiece Tonic.

As the Pig, sacrifice a survivor with the use of a Reverse Bear Trap.

As the Nightmare, cause X survivor(s) to trigger Dream Pallets or Dream Snares.

As the Cannibal/Hillbilly/Demogorgon, destroy X pallet(s) with the use of their power.

Of course the harder ones like grabbing survivors off of gens will award more bloodpoints, or maybe double bloodpoints for a certain amount of matches after completing it.

  • Honestly feel like its a tie between Tattoo's Middle Finger, Amanda's Letter, and Fuming Mix Tape. All give pointless Aura Reading capabilities with no use in a chase. If you hit someone with Clown's bottles, you don't really need an aura to go with it. Amanda's Letter cripples her traps, while giving 12 meter aura reading, at which point you should already either see or know a survivor is there. Fuming Mix Tape is absolutely useless. When you use Feral Frenzy, you are most likely in a chase, and are not going to break off that chase if you see a gen is being worked on, at which point it is slower to sprint there with Feral Frenzy, compared to walking.

  • @MegsAreEvil said:

And what about survivors getting til 4 stacks of WGLF if the killer DCs?

    @Elk said:

What about 1 stack of WGLF, an Escape Cake, Shattered Glasses and a Broken key...You know, what the hell 2 Broken keys. How's that sound? 😉

A killer DC should give the average amount of points a survivor would earn during an escape, around 20,000 to 30,000 BP on top of whatever they earned that match. Seems only fair that is the killer Is getting an opportunity to gain extra BP the survivors should also get BP.

  • Best thing to do is to wait a few days before burning stuff like Escape Cakes and BPS during a Bloodhunt. Let all the toxic people get it out of their systems before really starting the grind. Will you still find super toxic people with stuff like moris and instaheals? Yes, but hopefully less often.

  • Been getting nothing but BNPs, instaheals, Flashlights and keys. It goes both ways. I just need 5 more levels for P3 50 Demo let me level up in peace ;-;

  • Get Demo to P3 50 and get my dream build, Devour Hope, Enduring, either Surveillance or Discordance, and Nurses Calling.

  • You could actually pip if you 4K'D instead of having to play in a really unintuitive way. IMO, the second system was the best ranking system for killers, but it was incredibly easy to rank up as survivor.

  • Demo got a small buff which is great, anything to help out mid tier killers. The SWF change is great and should have been in it from the modes release.

  • Thank god for that, but how are the ranks you're going against?

  • How about

Hex: Debilitating Destruction: Spawns a Hex Totem on the map, when this totem is destroyed, Survivors suffer from a 25%/25%/50% reduction to generator repair speed. This effect lasts for 60/90/120/ seconds.

To slow the game down, just a lil bit.

1 … 21 22 23 24 25 26
