  • Now only Bill, Leatherface, and Freddy don't have extra cosmetics. Leatherface has the 4 faces you can unlock, but nothing else. Here's hoping for Young Bill, Sunglasses/Robert Englund Freddy, and Pretty Lady Leatherface.

  • Probably around 11:00 AM EST. That is usually when updates roll out.

Yeah huntress is very balanced as she's also very map reliant. She struggles on indoor maps and maps where's they plenty of cover for survivors to duck behind to avoid her hatchets.

Played a few Huntress games yesterday to shake the rust off and ended up on Hawkins, The Game, and Lerys. It was true hell. Took that as a sign to put Huntress down and play Ghostface. Ended up on Blood Lodge.

it's probably gonna be in the store next year for the next Halloween event

They said they would be releasing Rift exclusive cosmetics a while after the Rift has ended, so they probably will. They just put her in the Premium Rift to give players an incentive to buy the Premium track.

  • @TeambossFloze said:

Because you unlock her on the rift and if you wanted it that bad you would of bought it last year, so its always been behind a "paywall"

Nurse's Hallowed Blight cosmetic wasn't available last year, only Trapper, Hillbilly, Wraith, Doctor, and Huntress were. They most likely did this to give players more incentive to buy the Premium track.

  • Huntress is also really well balanced, having a strong power and high skill cap, with a chance to be outplayed by survivors, but her downfall is her lackluster map pressure. The Lullaby along with 110% movement speed lets you know to get away quickly, as well as her being subjected to loops worse than Billy, again, due to 110% MS.

This might be coming off wrong but a perfectly balanced killer for me would be a killer able to apply pressure throughout the map, be easy to pick up but hard to master, while having some form of ability to counter loops and windows if the circumstances are right, but not completely outright deny survivors of these, similarly to how Demo, Billy, and Leatherface can shorten loops and break pallets quickly through use of their power, but are still able to be looped.

  • Hillbilly is probably the most balanced killer. High skill cap regarding chainsaw curving, pretty easy to pick up and play, good map pressure, and has a chance to be outplayed by survivors. If not Billy, then every killer should aim to be around Freddy level.

The forums would be set ablaze by the disappearance of Maurice, it would be deadly to take him away :P

Taking away Maurice would cause mass riots, resulting in the entire DBD fanbase to storm BHVR headquarters in an effort to get our good boi back.

  • Only Wraith, Trapper, and Hag got QoL changes. Trapper and Hag's traps take less time to place, and Wraith got old Windstorm put into his basekit.

  • Bill had to fight through the Vietnam war, not to mention the zombies, before actually dying at the hands of 3 Tanks. Bill is tough as hell, but can only be smacked twice by the Hag before going down.

  • The grind in this game is unreal. Been playing since the beginning of 2018 and only have 5 killers at P3 and 1 survivor at P1. Even if I have to buy the DLC, let me keep my progression and unlocked Teachables, mainly for the Switch version, as that's the only port I could see myself buying for the portability alone.

  • Hoping for The Alchemist. Maybe he just needed a sword and a mask? Maybe he's a fan of japanese culture?

  • @PalletOrWhat said:

Right now I honestly don't know if the Devs really care about our opinions. So polls might be pointless anyway. I've been playing this game for two years. A lot has changed in those two years. Predominantly positive changes. I can admit that here. Then there are things where you don't know if they're serious. Recently: The nurse changes. Since the announcement of the rework almost everyone agreed that the base kit nurse is fine. Just take away her multiple blinks and her range addons. It is simple as that actually. If people have problems breaking LoS just make the fatigue a little longer.  I'm pretty sure that literally nobody would have complained about the changes this way. I don't want to talk about her addons...

They said they didn't make the Fatigue longer due to some people getting nauseous from the camera moving. IMO, if you get nauseous playing Nurse, just don't play Nurse, and trash her dailies.

  • This is why Coldwind is terrible. This is why Mother's Dwelling is terrible. This is why Yamaoka Estate is terrible, among other reasons. If you aren't Nurse, Spirit, Billy, Freddy, maybe even Demogorgon, unless the survivors are bad, you won't do to well.

  • @OhShizzle said:

Which ones do you think are impossible?

Might be referring to the leaked Tome 4 challenges which did look nearly impossible.

  • @Mert_MK said:

People really need to stop crying and "git gud" at mindgames.

Spirit doesn't bother me at all anymore after i watched this short guide on how to counter her. Very reliable too, so watch and learn :)

Nerf Legion and Pig, Spirit who?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK5Jys7dfwA

Don't forget to nerf Wraith, Clown, and Trapper as well. Just in case they might over perform

  • Dude Legion is too. I don't know why they buffed them so much when they were already broken. Can't believe devs only buff killers and nerf survivors smh

  • The funny thing is there is another thread that just popped up that is actually complaining about stuff like this, without sarcasm. There are people that actually think like this and it baffles me.

  • Demo is a pretty strong killer with the right kit. I use BBQ to know which portal to go to after hooking someone, Nurses for its general usefulness, Enduring to challenge pallets even more with Shred, and Devour Hope for easy 1 hit downs from stealth. Corrupt Intervention is also really useful for Demo to set up portals without having 3 gens pop.

  • This thread might get a bit of an Overwhelming Presence here, not to mention the Mad Grit you need to make some of these puns. Gimme a minute, I feel a Second Wind coming on.

  • @SeducedByDaemonette said:

The only thing that bothers me about demo is that he can't use oneshots (Make your choice , DH , NOED) with his jump for some reason as well as putting debuffs (sloppy , third seal etc) , may be it's because of servers .

It's intended, because it's "Not a basic attack." This is the same reason Pig's Ambush doesn't trigger stuff like this either. Both Pig and Demo could be a lot stronger if they were buffed by actually having on hit effects trigger from secondary attacks.

  • It talks about The Alchemist being put in trials too, and not wanting to hurt survivors. Here's hoping.

  • Event? What event? Oh, you mean the special title screen with some pumpkins thrown next to gens and hooks! This isn't even an event. Once the Rift got involved it wasn't an event anymore. Seriously hope they don't just throw the event currency in the Rift from now on, this was really disappointing, especially for a horror game like DBD.

  • Just yeet the eye at the back of a survivors head

  • Archive grinding isn't too bad, except for what Tome 4 is looking like. The only real problem is the Rift grinding. Why do we get hardcapped at 500 XP? Playing 6-7 games for 1 tier, is crazy when factor in queue times, lobby times, load times, and the chance that someone DCs, making the 15 minutes you waited to get into a game completely worthless.

Sorry, but I don't think you're being realistic with your numbers. You are assuming every copy of the game and all DLC were purchased at full price. I can tell you all of mine were purchased on sale. And yes, I still haven't purchased Stranger Things b/c I'm waiting for it to go on sale.

Also, who are these people that you think are buying EVERY cosmetic?!?!? Maybe a few people do but seriously, most do not. Cosmetics are there for people who play the game a lot and want to personalize their favorite characters. Yeah, some of them are pricey but they are icing on the cake. This idea that BHVR is gouging every fan to the tune of $1000 does not hold water.

Definitely a fair point, nobody is spending $1000 worth of cosmetics, and if you are killer main you will only be buying killers most likely, each killer costs 500 Auric Cells, so $5 per killer, meaning if you buy the base game at $20, every killer DLC will cost you $60, costing you about $80 total. Again, not realistic to assume you will buy every DLC, but I guess my point is that BHVR is becoming more greedy with their microtransactions.

They advertised that there would be significantly less outfits that only cost Auric Cells, but compared to the amount of Iridescent Shard outfits, they are nearly equal, if not more plentiful that Iridescent Shard only outfits, hell, Hillbilly doesn't have a single Very Rare outfit available for Shards. Now they have the Rift, which again, they advertised that everyone would be able to complete the Rift by only playing for about an hour a day, but surprise surprise, that clearly isn't the case and they want you to buy your way through the Rift if you want to unlock everything.

Congratulations for being the sort of player most gaming developers would love to have.

As for the Rift. If it wasn't meant to squeeze anyone attempting to complete it dry, Behavior wouldn't have introduced a way for players to buy tiers for real money. That decision alone shows exactly what their intention was.

Was just a joke, no one in their right mind would spend 70$ for the Rift. But honestly, does BHVR need to wring us out more? The game costs 20$, all the DLC including cosmetic packs but excluding Charity Case costs $96.84 plus tax if you don't want to add more grinding for Iridescent Shards, the Rift costs $10, including all the cosmetics in the store, with over half of them being available solely for Auric Cells. If you want everything that effects gameplay unlocked from the start it will cost you about $116.84 without tax. This is a tad bit ridiculous, you could get 2 fully fledged AAA game instead of buying everything in DBD. It gets even worse, with the cosmetics in the store that are only available for Auric Cells, their cost comes out to a whopping $993. JESUS. I got this number by converting every 100 Auric Cells into $1 and rounding accordingly, so you may get a slightly higher or lower number, but the fact that there are almost $1000 dollars worth of cosmetics that can only be bought with real money seems REALLY scummy and cash grabby.

  • Guys, I already finished the Rift a couple days ago, it's so easy.

On a side not I am now short 70$ /s

But seriously, the Rift is so predatory it isn't even funny. It takes 800 XP for 1 shard, and you get hardcapped at around 500 XP per match. If there wasn't a hard cap and you could get 1 shard per match it would be so much better.if you could get 1 tier per 10 matches, but the devs want to wring us dry.

  • S - Wraith, Ghostface, Demogorgon, Legion, Plague

    All killers I currently main.

    A - Huntress, Hillbilly, Pig

Killers I used to main, can still have some fun games as them occasionally

    B - Trapper, Freddy, Myers

Killers I've considered getting good with but never have

    C - Spirit, Bubba, Doctor

Played very rarely, usually just for dailies

    D - Nurse, Clown, Hag

Killers I will get absolutely destroyed with and are only played for dailies

Just don't forget that's an opinion, as I feel there's like minus 1-2 on both sides that belong in balanced. I do feel that maps are a huge issue in non meta killers having fun though. Half of those maps: get hit? you're now across the map + in a very safe near-infinite where 3 gens can now pop before you eat another one.

True, take it with a grain of salt, but mostly he had pretty good reasoning for putting them in each tier, such as Rotten Fields having a large amount of space needing to be patrolled, on top of all the corn, making it survivor sided, Coal Tower having a good amount of LoS blockers, and not too many pallets, making it balanced, and I Shelter Woods being killer sided, due to the low amount of pallets and lack of area to use Balanced Landing.

  • I only use Ruin on Plague, along with Dying Light, Thanatophobia, and BBQ for maximum slowdown. I use Devour Hope on other killers except for Legion and Ghostface. On Legion I use Nurses, Sloppy, Thanato, and Dying Light, also for slowdown, and Ghostface gets such easy instadowns you don't really need DH, I use Brutal Strength, Discordance, BBQ, and Nurses on Ghostface for a basic M1 killer build.

  • Pain Reliever did a video ranking most maps in a tier list, making them Killer sided, Survivor sided, or balanced, and found that most maps are Survivor sided. There were like 5 killer sided maps, 6-7 balanced maps, and like 15 survivor sided maps. Really hope Devs look into big offenders like Blood Lodge, Haddonfield, Disturbed Ward, and Mother's Dwelling.

  • It's not an event. It's some special title screen with music and hooks and generators with pumpkins near them.

  • With the talks of The Alchemist being the next killer, I'm hoping he is. His lore talks about him being taken into trials and not wanting to hurt survivors, and also finding the right dose of Putrid Serum to not hurt himself, so maybe he's the next killer. I would love a killer themed around the Hallowed Blight/Putrid Serum.

  • Swing, miss, get pallet stunned, get teabagged, say "That should of hit" in a salty manner even if it clearly shouldn't have hit.

As Wraith I also constantly BING BONG in a chase in hopes to burst the survivors eardrums.

  • The "one shot" referred to in the code actually refers to audio, as in play this audio clip once without repeating it. The Archives also talk about him trying to find the right dose without hurting himself and such, I'm hoping he's the next killer, would love one themed around the Hallowed Blight/Putrid Serum.

  • Legion? Who's that? Devs just kinda write Legion off since the nerf. We've only gotten 3 new skins in the year Legion has been out, with one being Joey's High Vis Horror, and the other 2 being the Dia De Los Muertos skins earlier this week.

  • Absolutely not. Imagine if the extra pallets spawned in a map with a pseudo infinite like Crotus Prenn or Wretched Shop. You could run the killer around all game without breaking a sweat.

  • @Almo said:

FF does not show blood pools or scratch marks so you do not randomly find Survivors you don't know are that when using FF for traversal. You are meant to have to make a concious decision to trigger FF to get someone you can see, or to traverse the map.

If someone is out in the open and you see them, whatever, that's their fault. :D

Except that you can't use Feral Frenzy for map traversal. It's slower than walking because of the DS you have eat after using your power. Don't see why we couldn't at least see blood pools.

    @ColonGlock said:

I keep getting merciless killer with Legion with less effort than any of the other killers. They are not useless and have potential for high scoring games.

All killers can have bad games, but you can 4k and have high scoring games even when you do not. I even got Merciless with one person taking the hatch.

There has to be a balance and I think they got it right. Yes, you have to use add ons, but that is true for all killers if you are not making it hard on yourself on purpose.

It is extremely easy to get Merciless with Legion. Frenzy allows you to stab survivors multiple times while the chase is going, giving huge benefits to emblems. Add that with gen slowing perks like Sloppy, Thana, and Dying Light and you could probably get Merciless without killing a survivor. Legion is one of the best killers for ranking up, but one of the worst for actually killing survivors and using their power effectively.

  • It isn't even an event. It's a special lobby screen with gens and hooks with pumpkins near them that give ######### all for bonus BP.

  • @Peanits said:

As I understand it, you just need to be on the generator is completed, not for the entire repair. Some of these challenges are also placeholders for the time being and can be changed in a hotfix/through the backend before that level unlocks. We're keeping an eye on the feedback so far.

Here's hoping this is true for almost all of Tome 4's challenges. Some of these are so ridiculous it isn't even funny.

  • Spirit complaint posts might have decreased in number because the Devs have said they are 'looking' at Spirit next. Enjoy her while you can folks!

    Fingers crossed.

Honestly if they just removed the 'in one match' stipulation from some of them it would be totally fine.

Just removing the "In one game" trial stipulation would make everything so much better. You are almost never going to see 3 unhooked during endgame in one match, you are never going to be able to complete 4 gens with Dark Sense in solo in one match, you are never going to sacrifice 4 survivors in the basement without one of them DCing in one match. Please devs, just once, listen, you guys have been pretty tone deaf regarding almost everything in the Rift and Archives challenges, and haven't been communicating with us as to why either. Please, just this once, listen.

  • Maybe the devs will listen to us for once and tweak the nearly impossible challenges in the Fourth Tome.

  • @TheRealHansGruber said:

I completed the entire first level of the archive this morning. How are any of them hard? Their just easy dailys

4th level of the Archive has stuff like unhook 3 survivors during EGC, sacrifice all 4 survivors in the basement, complete 4 gens with Dark Sense, and while these aren't too difficult by themselves, the real kicker is that they all have to be done in a single trial, and rightfully so, these aren't challenges, these are either pure dumb luck or must be done in a farming match.

  • FriendswithFNaF, stupid I know. Wish we didn't have to pay to change gamertags after the free change :(

  • I like them, I really want the Nectar Vial charm, gonna try my hardest to grind the Rift for it. And besides, they aren't harming anyone by existing, they're cute little cosmetic options.

  • @Hoodied said:

This seems to look alot like the introduction to "Identity V" if you ask me :/

Or simply put it, ITS JIM PICKENS

All the killers are just Jim in disguise.

  • Oh boy, fresh meat! But for real, have fun with Legion. They might take a while of getting used to and a fair bit of BM and DCs, but they are really fun to play, even if they aren't top tier. Get Thana, Dying Light, Sloppy Butcher, and either BBQ, Nurses, or Ruin, and watch the salt and DCs as the gens slow to a crawl. Here's to hoping we get some sort of little buff or something to Legion soon! 🍾

  • Drill Pig and Demo are the best with Mad Grit. Either constant drilling, or constant screaming. Pick your poison!
