Asking the community to calm down after a really minor nerf, are you insane?
-
The hardest part of waiting for the update isn't the weeks before with the PTB and such, but the day when the update releases in a couple of hours.
-
Can I just say Devout is the worst Emblem in the game? It should just be based on how many survivors you killed. 0 for none. 1 for bronze. 2 for silver. 3 for gold. 4 for iridescent. Devout should've just been the previous ranking system as an emblem. But if you don't hook survivors at least 9 times you don't get iridescent. It's the stupidest thing.

They'll be released tomorrow shortly before the update.
Any exact time the update will be released?

I Blue-Screen-Of-Death'd once right at the end where i was winning.
My desire to play went from 140% to -9001%.
That's even worse than just a regular crash or DC. My condolences go out to you.
-
Suffocation Pit too if the right windows are open.
-
Wretched Shop, Ironworks, Disturbed Ward, Grim Pantry, and Haddonfield all have really strong areas to loop/run the killer around.

Breaking chase and following scratch marks. When I get ran around an infinite instead of breaking chase I usually just convince myself "If I leave them now then they'll just run back here when I find them again." Bada bing bada boom, 5 gens done, I'm salty and I camp.

I love it when they fully cleanse it right after i start killing someone.
I mean yeah, RIP Hex, but you're like: "It's too late for you!" 😈
There's also those times when you're about to kill someone, but because of how you have to stand in a certain position to start the animation, you spend too much time trying to start the animation they break the totem and you have to hook them. Worst part of Devour Hope.
-
Devour Hope, that feeling when you get three tokens right before hitting somebody is unparalleled. And when you're carrying someone and get that 5th token.

Pretty sure Hag and Nurse will get cosmetics, being the oldest killers who don't have Blight cosmetics. I feel like Plague could have a cool cosmetics with how ornamented she is. Don't really know what they would do for Legion or Clown, maybe something with Clown's fat and Legion's mask? Licensed killer's probably won't get Blight cosmetics. Spirit could be pretty freaky looking with her facial rig, floating limbs, and animations.

No hook swivel.

What’s wrong with that?
They can hook dive with zero consequences. If they healed you have to grab them, or they unhook the person, most likely with BT. You grab them, their DS activates, they both escape. They can just trade places on hook until everyone has DS. Again, it's not really problematic during early/midgame, but once the gates are open it gets really problematic.

Don’t tunnel then lol
Can't really avoid it if they just run right into you after being unhooked. It's more problematic during endgame. If I hook someone near the gate and camp because I can't do anything else, they can just dive the hook with BT, forcing me to grab them, boom DS, both escape.
-
I like shorter killers. Legion, Ghostface, and Pig, with Wraith, Huntress, and soon Demogorgon being the outliers.
-
Reduce Night Shroud's cooldown, and change his addons as such.
-
I like using the P3 mask and knife with the City Slicker robe from Devil Ghost Face.

And yet he still insists that Blood Lodge is unbeatable as killer.
If you get really bad map generation with a whole bunch of pallets like Blood Lodge usually has, it becomes a really unfun looping simulator unless you are playing someone like Spirit, Nurse, or Huntress. Combined with the fact that nearly every pallet on BL can't be mindgamed makes it the final nail in the coffin. If you are playing an M1 killer and get bad pallet generation, unless the survivors are complete potatoes, you are in for one hell of a match.

Thank yall for the advice
I mean honestly it's just bloody painful you get builled insanely hard by SWFS which considering I'm at red is very, very, common. At least today
I'm using Weasel, Enduring, BBQ, Nurse's calling. I mean I just bloody hate the whole reveal mechanic, I mean his recharge is as long as two freaking spirit power recharges
Which is absolutely stupid. Honestly today I've just run into so many multi thousand hour survivors often in squads that I honestly can't tell if I suck, the killer sucks, or I don't freaking know
I'm just tired
The SWF thing is just plain bad luck. If you want to reduce Night Shroud's cooldown bring the Chewed Pen Addon. If the gen is plainly out in the open but next to some objects you could get some cheeky gen grabs with Night Shroud.
-
Make Huntress Lullaby only light up and activate after gaining 1 token, same for Devour Hope but at 3 tokens instead. Get rid of either the health gain from Adrenaline or shorten the speed boost time, and in compensation for this rework NOED too, either get rid of the speed boost and missed attack recovery and keep the instadown or keep both speed boosts and remove the instadown. And of course get rid of No Mither + Self Care, it's been way to strong for so long.
-
Blood Lodge with all the pallets, Rotten Fields if you are corn blind or any other killer than Billy, Haddonfield, Shelter Woods with no pallets, The Game if there are a lot of pallets, Lery's as Nurse or Billy, Azarov's if you have poor map pressure, it's all subjective to what role and who you are playing really. Except Haddonfield, Haddonfield can burn.
-
Survivor: Moves in a slightly jittery motion.
Killer's camera: Now it's time to get funky
-
Ever consider that DBD is an ASYMMETRICAL 4 VS 1 game? Killers are supposed to be stronger in a 1 on 1, the survivors are strong because they are a team with 4 people, whereas the killer is strong because of his speed and powers, hence there only being one.
-
Wraith, Legion, Ghostface, and as soon as the new DLC comes to console, Demogorgon. I like Wraith and Ghostface's stealthier playstyles, and Legion is pretty fun.
-
Demogorgon. That roar is terrifying.
-
The Mori offerings need to be changed, except for Cypress. Things like Myer's Tombstone and Devour Hope are fine because you at least have to work for those Moris, and the game will have lasted a while by then. Same for Keys, except the Broken Key.
-
They will probably have it when the DLC goes live. It would also kinda make sense as we have 3 new characters, and it will lessen the grind by a lot. Hoping the DLC comes this Tuesday but it will probably come out next Tuesday.
-
The main problem is how much of the match is dictated by Survivors. What perks do they have? Are they really good at looping? Can they be easily mindgamed? Do they have any items like flashlights or insta heals? Then there's the stuff that's just completely random. What map are you on? Is it good for the killer you're playing? How many pallets are there? DId you get a good totem spawn? There is just so much that can go in the survivors favor, or alternatively in the killers favor. But there are so many more things that can go right for survivors compared to killers.
-
The Hermit
Perk- Momma's Boy: You have very close connection to family. The killer is allowed 10 minutes of play with survivors before supper. Before 10 minutes have passed the killer must return to the Basement for dinner. If the killer fails to come back to the Basement withing 10 minutes, the Entity will ground the killer to the Basement for the rest of the current match/next 3 matches/next 5 matches. If any survivors are seen in the Basement during this time period the timer will double.

eh i don't know about that
If you can effectively loop a killer you win. While you are looping, gens are getting done. If the killer doesn't decide to break a chase and you keep effectively looping him you can loop him for all 5 gens and gates being opened. Of course this all depends on the killer's skill level as well as what killer they are playing in the first place, but all survivors really need to know how to do is loop, maybe hit a skill check once in a while.
-
Matchmaking is currently extremely out of wack. You're supposed to go against survivors and killers ideally in whatever color rank you are I.E 20-17 is brown. 16-13 is yellow. 12-9 is green. 8-5 is purple. 4-1 is red. You used to be against players around your skill level. Now you go against anyone in any rank. I think this may be because the game doesn't want you to be in the lobby forever so it forces players of varying ranks into your lobby.
-
I think these last 2 DLC's really show how much the Devs care about us. We've been begging for Ghostface and ST for a while now, and while there are a few bad eggs who just find everything the devs do horrible, every community has some people like this. The devs are always trying their best to listen to the community and give us what we want while trying to keep everything balanced, like how Ghostface went from being broken to a viable and fun killer, and how Freddy got his rework. Overall just major props to the devs, community managers, and mods on the forum for trying to make this game and community the best it can be, even when this community can be as bipolar as it is.
-
Ghostface wasn't heavily nerfed though, just made it a bit easier to reveal him in Night Shroud. I don't really see any difference, it was really inconsistent to reveal him before, still inconsistent now.

I think he's really good. Willing to bet his dash gets nerfed before live since it takes 1 second to charge and crosses the distance of a jungle gym almost instantly.
Wow, can definitely see this getting some kind of nerf. Hopefully not, from what I've been hearing Demo looks really fun.

Anything on that "verticality" thing they were talking about for its pounce?

No he's not.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/85284/what-do-you-think-about-the-demogorgon
I feel like he's pretty good. Not OP but definitely high mid tier. His map pressure is insane and his pounce is really good for mindgames. Pallets are extremely unsafes against him. Just kinda wished that he could destroy old portals himself so he can place another one.
Does he only get a finite amount of portals and can only place new ones is survivors destroy them? Sorry, console player here.
-
They really need to change the name for exposed. It should be 'endangered' or something like that.
-
Demogorgon's mori looks really good. Combined with the sounds it makes, from the roars to it stomping around the map, to the new terror radius sound, it looks and sounds amazing.

you cant grab at all . he is heard in 8 meteres . also vs swf if 1 pot spot him sneaking they are gonna be aware but in low ranks u can get grab 1 or maybe if ur lucky 2 times at start of match
SWF thing just makes them a lot more on edge looking for you, which can backfire. You can still get grabs in red ranks. 99% of the time survivors only use their ears for terror radius or they know they are going against a Spirit.

UwU PTB Senpai! *Notices your Demogorgon* OwO whats this? Rawr, *Pounces Steve and Nancy* I can't wait for it Mcote-san!

Ghostface is in a pretty good spot as he is. You don't always have to stalk, you can mask terror radius and go for a grab on the gen. Only problem is on Coldwind and not being able to stalk through corn.
-
What's the entirety of his power? I only caught the survivor perks.
