Thank you, bro ! I wonder if you have saving paths for Halloween Event tome?
I wouldnt do that if I were you - just in case its removed after the event. We have no way to know its staying at this point...
The last tome related event was within the regular tome. This one is separate, but alongside. It may not end up in the compendium...

I am VERY happy to support BHVR and even happier that your negativity failed to damage the company
Again, who said there was a boycott? At this point youre obviously just avoiding the question because you know nobody did...
Also, to be clear, I cant imagine anyone - even somebody who endorsed a boycott - wanted to damage the company. The people who were upset by the actions of BHVR were upset because they like the game and want the company to succeed, but in the right way.

the dbd average is the 5th best result dbd has EVER have. The boycott is a COMPLETE FAILURE
Youo keep saying there was a boycott but nobody else is... Can you state a source? Or is this just a poor attempt at gaslighting?

U miss the part where they lost almost 7K players on average, so this peak is most likely is for few days and then everyone will leave.
Yeah theres going to be a "peak" due to the event tome but I dont expect it to last very long...
-
There wasnt a boycott of the game from what I was aware of...?
People are being a bit more cautious with their spending but if there was supposed to be a boycott this is the first i'm hearing of it... Can you state your source?
(And btw the last boycott, which was like 4 months ago, was just related to purchases and not stopping play)

hello, I would like to know if it would be possible to buy the witch clothes for Michaela? I can not play at the moment as I want so impossible to be able to recover the clothes
Unfortunately not at the moment. Possibly next Halloween though. FYI the event tome is very easy to complete so it would only take a few hours to unlock the survivor set and you have 2 weeks to...
-
Yeah these are my criticisms too.
All gens and hooks should be an event one for you if you brought the offering.
Also, why do we even have to waste 50k bp to get an offering to use? Just make it default and let us stack BPS or something since we're not having a bloodhunt...

Maybe only time will tell. Give a couple months or so he might make a return.
He could be lurking on the forums right now.
Unless BHVR actually owns up, takes responsibility and gives their reasoning, makes public promises to never do it again, etc. then I doubt those who left because of it will return... BHVR isnt known for taking responsibility in the face of backlash. they typically go radio silent until the next tihs-storm and deflect from that...

Since its been switched off my game hasn't crashed once.

You "remove" DS/BT and you can get a better understanding on how the perceived unknown of DS/BT influences Killers actions at a high MMR. The assumption being that by adding a "tell" to DS/BT, it will show how ingrained these Perks are into DBD's core.
I think youre agreeing with me but its hard to tell... As we saw during the period with the DS bug giving no stun - if DS wasnt a thing tunneling skyrockets. If DS has a visual tell (or not) - tunneling would also skyrocket.

@AnObserver said:
So, Survivors need to have their end-game improved when their team ######### up (Hatch doesn't mean anything for the KBMM). Kinda like how Killer has the capability to camp last Hook. Items need to be nerfed a bit (specifically Toolboxes). And DS/BT need visual indicators.
A visual indicator for DS would just mean that everyone that didn't run it would be tunnelled for free. That's kinda why there's now an obsession in each match - the ones without were tunnel fests

@throwaway79465468797 said:
I think as it is now is fine. If hatch spawned as soon as all the gens were done then everyone would run straight for the hatch with a key, especially with SWFs. At least with the exit gates you have a good chance of catching someone off guard. Hatch play in general is pretty meek and isn't good for killers at all.
I imagine giving survivors an out without having to play the rest of the game normally is the only reason the hatch even exists. Giving every survivor a chance just because they completed the game normally would wreck havoc on EGC games.
I wouldn't want the hatch to be abke to be opened via key (unless everyone else is dead or gone). it would be too broken otherwise.
id be okay with it becoming visible when the gates are opened and egc has started, etc

Ah ok, I understand now, thanks for the clarification.
My guess is they don't make the hatch visible while more than one survivor is in the game because they don't want multiple people escaping with a single use of a key. It could be a technical thing where if they make the hatch visible then it would also mean the possibility of a single key letting multiple out. But who knows? 🤷♂️
If they can code it so the key only works for one person and only when the other 3 are dead or gone it should be fine...?
-
@nikodemo said:
Nah, I like it now. It's last ditch 50/50 chance
not really trying to change that. If the gates are powered (or even open) I don't see how the hatch being visible would effect either side tbh... Actually, the pig would probably hurt from it so BHVR will probably go for it 😂

As his meaning, a fair play but high skilled killer has 10 hooks with 2k, will increased mmr. But a camper with Noed can 2 hooks with 2k, lower mmr because "hook so little".
It would reward camper/tunneler alot since so many players just go for kill to satisfy themselves.
Thanks. It's 4am here and my grasp on the English language (and my sanity) is slipping...

The offerings are gone. You can still get those maps though... which is kinda worse...
-
@ScottJund said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2577653#Comment_2577653
You have that reversed. Campers would get less hooks not more.
less hooks would mean their MMR would go down. meaning they'd get worse survivors. leading to more kills with less hooks, etc
-
@D3spair said:
I stand by Tru3Talent suggestion that the game should be balanced by number of Hooks instead of Kills.
This is the ideal but campers and tunnellers would just be rewarded with easier matches and ruin the experience for new players. At least now if that stratgets them kills they'll get punished by the MMR system...
(Note: I'm not inherently against camping and tunnelling as a strategy in certain circumstances. Just at 5 gens, etc)
-
Would love to see the results without SWF modifier. Perk/addon-less soloq would be a thing to behold!

At the very least it should be spawned when the last gen is done. Even then it wouldn’t be useful since the gates are available.

Technically it spawns at 5gens but its clear that its the visual aspect that i'm referring to...
Sorry, we're not gonna agree on this. And you've given me too few reasons to agree to this.
So good luck with your thing!
We dont have to agree! Just looking to discuss. Sorry youre not up for the discussion and giving your viewpoints! If you ever decide to - you know where to find me! ^^

@dugman said:
I'm a little unsure what you're suggesting, but if you're saying that the hatch shouldn't spawn with only 1 player left until all the gens are done also then no, that would probably be a bad idea since it's extremely hard for a single survivor to complete gens. The whole point of the hatch is that, with only one survivor, the game of "stop the generators" isn't fun for either side because typically it's way too hard for the sole survivor to complete 1 let alone more than 1 generator.
So at least with the hatch spawning when there's only one survivor left they have three potential exit points and have at least a fighting chance of getting out. I'm sure there are alternative end game systems for the last survivor that could be even more fun, like maybe an endgame chase mode where if the lone survivor can keep the killer in a chase for, say, 15 or 20 seconds then the exits automatically open. (That would give the lone survivor an incentive to get a chase started and hope they can outrun the killer long enough to get out the doors.) But we're probably stuck with the hatch and exits as they are more or less. 🤷♂️
Sorry if I was unclear. I'm cool with it still spawning and opening with one survivor left.
In addition to that, I would like it to be visible when 0 gens are left (lets say gates are powered but not opened). I dont want it to open though, even with a key, until again - only one survivor is left.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Yeah, only spawning when there is one survivor left no matter what was overkill. They should have at least kept it as an option that can be better prepared for at five generators repaired. As a reward for getting that far.
Not to mention all the Rift challenges on both sides. Killers are arguably hurt by this as well.
Yeah I do hope they change the "escape from the hatch" and "close the hatch" x times challenges. Theyre going to be incredibly painful now...

It does spawn
before thenyou just don't see it./s
Thanks for contributing your opinion! Care to elaborate on it? Why is that? I dont SEE a problem with either tbh. Its just a bit of an underwhelming mechanic now that you rarely get to see. Even if it didnt open it would be nice to see it I guess

I like those moment that I and another survivor stealth and looking for hatch, hide our best when TR coming. I love hide and seek moment. Now it doesnt exist anymore.
But 3 survivors hatch escape at 1 Gen left is the most broken thing about key. I dont know what will happen with this new change, 2 survivors will likely hide for 1h waiting for other to die to get hatch (even if 1 Gen left), where the game can end much faster.
I've been seeing it already. 1 gen left and i'm chasing the best looper in the game and no gen pops in 2 mins. Easy 4k...
I do wish the hatch would spawn when all gens are finished - even if it cant open until one person is left (even with a key)

It was keys but now they got a well deserved nerf. Flashlight clicking can be obnoxious but in terms of the impact of a match, probably medkits.
Never really minded keys. FL clicking was always the worst for me. An escape through the hatch was never a "win" in my books. It was a surrender. Plus they typically had to work to get the hatch to show too so never thought it was hella OP

Say a survivor blesses a hex totem to get rid of the hex. Since they can bless totems for an infinite amount of times after the killer stamps them out, maybe the hex effect could come back? So if Ruin is "ruined", then the killer could just stomp on it and Ruin would come back. Is that a good idea?
Then people would cleanse the hex and then bless a dull. Unless they reduce the blessing time on hexes. even then its still not worth it if the hex could come back...

With MMR, a lot of us are stuck in a limbo where every game is a 4k or 0k, with little in between.
Which would still average a 2k 2esc which is what bhvr wants...

Firstly, Hexes can last throughout the Trial as well. 25s is a worst-case scenario. I've seen matches come to a swift and devastating end because no one can find the Hex. That's what Hexes are about, RNG. There are no guarantees, and that's part of the appeal and power.
On the point of locations, what exactly do you expect them to do? With the reduction of map sizes (based on a frequent killer player rant), one of the side effects is less ground for Survivors to search. People have complained about too many obstacles on specific maps, obstacles that help conceal Hexes.
Not to mention that if they hide totems too well killer mains will be complaining that they cant find them I'm already struggling on some maps (looking at you Game) when I can hear it but cant find it...

And again, you're entirely wrong. Repeating yourself doesn't change the facts that BM is clearly evident at high levels of play.
Spoiler alert: Just like it is in almost every professional contest, not just video games /gasp.
And again, you keep saying the same thing without submitting a single example of it happening.
How is it anyway associated to high levels of play? A slug bleeding out? 4min afk. Such skill! Great entertainment!
A survivor teabagging at the gate? They pressed a button! Oh lawd!
Its not skill. Its not entertainment. Its a child with a dopamine rush because they're not used to winning/surviving.
ACTUAL skilled players say "gg" and move on - regardless of outcome...

@foxsansbox said:

Those three? Probably not. At what point are you going to accept a valid answer? Go to youtube (Or twitch, for that matter), and in the search bar type 'DBD Streamer BM'. Watch a few videos and come up with whatever excuses you need to harbor that absolutist belief that high level play doesn't contain BM, but keep it to yourself after that because you're still clearly wrong.
Again, I'm just saying that those that act like children in the way described, do it because theyre just not good at the game... If they consistently 4k or escape then there'd be no point in such BMs as they'd be used to it. It would be normal. Its that simple. If they go out of their way to BM its because "winning" is new for them.

Yeah, that's a lie, or cherry picking.
Or maybe your anecdotal experience means very little in the great statistic that is all DBD games played. You can literally watch streams where high level players do this.
Do ScottJund or Otz do it? Does Coconut? Name a streamer of "high level" that does this if youre so sure?
