I thought about the recent update and the speedup for killers and came to the conclusion that the distribution is not fair.
On the one hand killers like Trapper need it very much and on the other hand killers like Nurse or Blight getting even stronger and even on an other hand Hillbilly gets nearly nothing from it at all.
I thought about this system and I will explain it further under the picture:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/16HYYM2PAY1Z/grafik.png
We could revert the killer sped up and instead assign killers groups. We have this system already (all true ranged killers move at 110%) but it is very hidden and not developed enough.
As you can see above the Class "Chaser" moves at normal speed and has this 10% sped up that is now active for everyone. We could assign this group all basic killers with bad/basic abilities to give them a small help without stronger killers benefiting from it.
The Class "Ranged "is the class we already have in the game and it would just stay the same as before.
The Class "Special" is for killers that have very unique powers and dont need sped up like the more basic killers. Killers in this class will just stay like they are now just without the 10% sped up on killer actions.
As you just read there is no change at all to most killers just buffs to killers in the Class "Chaser" because the need them.
Pros:
- Needed Buffs can be assigned to a role instead of buffing all killers at once especially those who dont need any help.
- Balancing can be linked to a role e.g. if in the future for some reason the ranged class will underperform the devs could enchance their movement speed from 110 to 112% and see if thats enough.
- No nerfs. Noone will be heartbroken that their favourite killer was once again murdered by BHVR (like Hillbilly... really BHVR pls revert it.). There are just some buffs to killers that need it and ONLY them.
- killers can be reasign in their role e.g. after a rework.
This is only an idea to discuss and something we could ask the devs to implement. Maybe we could do a cooperation with them and help some weaker killers without helping the strongest one.
If I may share how I would put the killers together it would be this way:
Chaser:
Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Shape, Doctor, Cannibal, Nightmare, Pig, Clown, Legion, Ghost Face, Onryo
Ranged:
Huntress, Deathslinger, Trickster,
Special:
Nurse, Hag, Spirit, Demogorgon, Plague, Oni, Executioner, Blight, Twins, Nemesis, Cenobite, Artist, Dredge
What do you think? What would be your role distribution. Have you an idea for a fourth role I did not think about?
I actually really like this idea. Honestly I never thought about having killers be in certain classes but it definately makes sense and would make some updates, changes, or patches more fair in some departments. I like the three categories, but perhaps the SPECIAL one could be broken down further, since some of them can use their abilities at a loop to catch up to the survivor (a.k.a. Demos Shred ability) but I don't think it would really matter because their speed would stay the same as those in the SPECIAL category anyway.

Probably because your team has a total of 3 prove thyself, and he’s playing a weak killer.
I honestly don't understand how they have not reworked The Onryo. Her main ability is so weak, and has been since her release, and they haven't done anything? They hyped her up for like 3 months before she came out, and this is what we got? How disappointing

With the combination of regression changes and generator times, some matches just feel like they take forever now, specifically those where the killer is heavy on regression perks. Gets very boring frankly and I find myself just suiciding on hook most of the time.
I don't disagree with you, but there are ways to speed up repairing gens, and speed up the game for bit. Personally I've noticed that though they only added 10 seconds to finish repairing a gen, some team members seem to be allergic to them. So, I like to run perks like Fast Track, Better Together, Overzealous, and maybe Resilience or Prove Thyself, and just be a gen jockey whenever I can.

Shadow Step is still in, but Circle of Healing was disabled. Probably gonna get nerfed
-
Say a survivor blesses a hex totem to get rid of the hex. Since they can bless totems for an infinite amount of times after the killer stamps them out, maybe the hex effect could come back? So if Ruin is "ruined", then the killer could just stomp on it and Ruin would come back. Is that a good idea?

My favorite franchise would have to be the Reanimator movies. They are all really good, though the first one is the best.

Also Hugh Dancy as Will Graham for survivor!
YES! OMG I would love to see that!

Polydactyly. Blight has is actually but probably because of the blight serum mutation on not born with it.
And Anthony Hopkins Hannibal is very scary. But it’s more psychology scary and thus doesn’t quite fit DbD. The show version or book version do seem fitting better, as they have some cool chase/direct ‚fighting‘ scenes.
And the show version has Hannibal in some really nice suits, so there's plenty of room for cosmetics.

Hannibal Lecter.
i think that the Movie Version is great but wouldn’t quite fit DbD, but the book version of Hannibal seems better fitting!
I didnt even think of Dr. Lecter! I do agree, his book version seemed much scarier. I found it interesting that he had 6 fingers on his left hand; poly something lol.

I've played all the Borderlands, and find 2 to be the best. The 3rd one got rather boring quickly, so I never finished it.

How about a Macbeth Chapter? That would be awesome!
Man, that would be so cool! There's so many possibilities for cosmetics and elite skins, as well as different maps!
-
Oh, now these comments ought to be good! As a veteran of the game who has played many, many hours of killer and survivor alike, I believe the worst and most recent hate mail was someone saying that my pride charm was "a waste of a pride charm".
-
Hey, good luck! Try to have some fun!
-
1. Toxic community
2. Poor communication w/devs
3. Freddy and Legions current states
-
I love the concept of a Stranger Things chapter. However, when they released the awful map and killer, I was so disappointed! The Demo looks super cool, but that's about it. And I wish there was a Hopper cosmetic. My absolute fav character and he's not even in the game. BS. And the map. Do I even have to say why it's so bad?
-
Haha no, it's probably someone who thinks Pinhead is too powerful. Basically whoever hates killers just because they are, well, killers.
-
Hey thanks for this!
-
Who would listen to any advice from the devs? Their standards are so low the bar for winning is 2 escapes, 2 kills. Seriously just find a clip of Cote playing and you'll see what I mean
-
Rambo would be super cool. James Bond would be awesome as well.
-
No way anything in this game can be fun for 2 consecutive matches. The toxicity and sweaty 4 man swfs are too much each and every match, so 8 of them? That might be how-to-lose-self-esteem in 15 minutes.

Holiday by Green Day
Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance
Starman or Ashes or Ashes by David Bowie
Watching the Wheels by Chris Cornell
Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley
Revenge by XXXTENTACION
-
Nope. Only liked it because it was Stranger Things. Hated everything else about it.
-
Oh, and it could be a sort-of counter to perks like Enduring and Spirit Fury. That could be really, really useful if the killer is relying on those to down or hit survivors.

I don't know whether or not there should be a cooldown. I think this would be best to figure out on practicing with the perk and seeing how it worked out.
That's fair. Personally I don't think there should be one, but I suppose it would depend on how strong it would be.
-
I like the idea! This could help the person being chased to escape, or to allow teammates more time to do gens. Would you put a cool down on it? If so, how long?
-
I think something is toxic if a player is going out of there way to be a jerk and have the intention of ruining other players games. Also cheating or hacking is pretty bad
-
Tunneling is a strat, not a toxic cheat or hack. Since there is a perk (DS) to stop this or try to, there is nothing wrong with tunneling.
-
By far the best horror games would be Evil Wifhin 1 and 2, and Outlast 1. Great games filled with horror or gore that are so much fun to play
-
I think Negan or Daryl would be great additions to the game. Plus we could probably get voice lines for them since the actors are cool. Can you imagine one of Negans lines in DbD? Super cool!
-
HERBERT WEST! Best movie character ever!
-
No, you shouldn't be banned. Pretty sure devs don't take this kind of stuff seriously. If they did, all 4 of you would be banned for working with each other. (Steve pointing out Neas, you farming with them)
-
🎶 Killers just want to have fu-un 🎶
-
Deja Vu, Dark Sense, and Beast of Prey
-
Went to Atlantis in the Bahamas a while back. Had a lot of fun swimming and going through a slide with sharks surrounding it. Way cool, great vacation
-
Claud is a god!
-
No, I dont agree with this. Everyone is gonna ban nurse or spirit, so que times for them would be insane
-
Hell yeah! This would be awesome! I would love to see something like this in DbD. It would make it much easier to share with friends, and, possibly, could be sent to the devs to prove hacking or cheating? Not camping or tunneling, but genuine hacks and cheats being used.
-
Before Stranger Things was gonna be taken out of the game, I always wanted to see Hopper. I also want more Crypt TV skins. Those are super cool!
-
Honestly, no. I play alot of killer, and I don't feel like Boon totems will have a HUGE impact on the way I play. Survivors will heal anyway or hide in lockers to avoid BBQ, and having them all run to one particular spot whenever anything bad happens isn't all that bad, especially if the totem is in a corner of the map or away from gens. I can understand the frustration with them however, and my opinion may change depending on what future Boon perks may be, and how strong they are. If they do turn out too strong, maybe the option for the killer to break a totem would be a fair fix.
-
Thus is a great idea! We can include others as well dealing with pride, or even for awareness of certain diseases and such.
-
Hey guys, just wanted to thank you all for taking the time to respond to me and share your opinions! Much appreciated, as I have a friend who is a Freddy main and has mixed feelings about him.
-
Hi there! I recommend finding something you genuinely like and enjoy doing. Usually something calming and relaxed, like reading or (like my hobby) knitting. Don't overwhelm yourself with things that need to be done. And I'm serious about this, taking a few deep breaths when your angry or sad can really help to calm you and make you feel better. Also, you might want to stay away from social media and the toxic environment of DbD. I hope you feel better and find happiness!
-
I would love to see him in the game, but I think that it is, unfortunately, very unlikely due to his size, which would pose difficulty to things like hooking survivors, being stunned, and even hitting survivors.
-
I honestly can't tell if this post is serious or not. If a zombie isn't stuck on a rock or tree, they are still super slow and can be blinded multiple times and are stunned for long periods. They are extremely weak due to this and their movement speed, as well as their small range. I've never seen someone dumb enough to waste a pallet on a zombie. Just don't do it and leave to area/find something else to do.

I tried searching for other posts but the search function kept just giving me the patch notes as results :/
Same thing happened to me. They are working on fixing hitboxes, but I wouldn't bet on them being fixed anytime soon. I'm sure you know how it is; it takes a few weeks for stuff to get patched, then new bugs and glitches are created. Gotta love DbD lol
-
What do they do? Do you get extra Bp?
-
It would be nice to have some changes to that map. Its always been one I dread playing on, whether its as survivor or killer. I think it could use an expansion, or perhaps a few extra obstacles. Doubt we'll see that anytime soon, maybe in the next year if we're lucky XD
-
I've never had a problem with the devs on any game until DbD. They make poor choices based on a few opinions, and don't listen to the player base as a whole. They are "fixing" things that don't need fixing, and its getting annoying. Like, I don't want a 15 dollar skin to be added into the game, I just want the bugs to be fixed.
-
I agree. I came back to the game after a short break, and the first time I'm hit, the killer literally swings around a corner, and the swing is ending, but guess what? Even though I'm not even in front of him and way out of his range, I get hit. Seriously? I enjoy all these cosmetics and what not, but please focus on more pressing matters. Every addition to the game creates bugs and glitches, which don't get fixed. So, there's now a bunch of problems that have piled up over the years and it needs to be addressed.
