Must have been white or green glyphs since the BP for those doesn't go into one of the 4 categories and so aren't restricted to the usual 32k point cap.
Escaping with a white glyph gives 25k while each green glyph collected awards double the points from the previous glyph (1k for the first, 2k for the second, 4k for the third, etc.) Finding 5 green glyphs in one match should award a total of 31k in addition to the regular points earned.

They changed the challenge to 10 mil instead of 30 mil. But they didn't uncap the Personal Goal
10 seems much more reasonable but the problem of having to equip the challenge remains as some players don't even bother with the archives.
Is there any way to make it so the next available community challenge is autoselected if no other challenge is selected? (Or better yet, make it so community challenges don't need to be eqipped in the first place)

Their priority was probably finding an invitation with the intent on repairing afterwards. I guess they never found their invitation.
-
It's the only way I am aware of.
Fortunately there are only 12. I made a physical list and checked them off as I got them.
The only thing you can really do is look at each character's head piece screen.
-
Tonight I equipped the challenge where all you have to do is succeed skill checks. Proceeded to repair a generator almost 80% of the way without triggering a single check.

Thursday, June 30.
Thanks!

Does anyone know the end date? I know I'll be away for at least part of it and I hope I'll get enough time to play.

They said with the shrine when you buy them they automatically unlock on every character as if you prestiged that character and you'll be able to buy the perk to tier 3. So if you don't own David and you unlock the perk via the shrine you will get it on all characters, you don't have to luck out on getting it in your bloodweb like you do now.
I didn't realize shrine would auto unlock too. I missed that. That makes the rework even better!
-
The prestige change will not change how the bloodweb works. It will only automatically unlock a survivor's or killer's perks on all other sirvivors or killers whenever a character is prestiged.
As it is now if you want a perk, for example Dead Hard, you have to find it in the bloodweb (3 times if you want it at tier 3) and you have to do this for each character you want it on.
With the rework you will only need to prestige David King once and Dead Hard will be given to every survivor you own at tier 1 (prestige 2 for tier 2 and prestige 3 for tier 3). But you can still unlock it in the bloodweb in exactly the same way you do now if you don't own David or don't want to prestige him.
The rework will significantly reduce the grind and give you more control over unlocking perks overall, but it won't change the current functioning of the bloodweb itself.
-
Apparently still not fixed. Played Myers just now with the Fragrant Tuft of Hair. 9 instant downs and no progress toward the challenge.
-
It doesn't just happen with add ons. About 90% of the time when I'm playing as Pig I forget about bear traps until at least halfway through the match.
-
Yes, it's far better. When I first got my PS5 I was inadvertently still playing the PS4 version. When I realized it and upgraded I noticed a big difference (definitely visually and I think even in performance).
-
From the way I understand it, it will be 1 and 3

I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night, half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us, and dance about on our graves singing 'Hallelujah.'
But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'.
Monty Python reference for the win! Thank you for this!

So one thing you will start to learn as killer is that you'll rely more on snowballing than worrying about getting 4ks with 5 gens left. The amount of games where 3 gens will pop in the first chase is high but I still win them with 2 gens left. Just because gens pop early doesn't mean the game is over. It took me a while to grasp this but just ignore those early gens popping and focus on snowballing.
I agree with this. I've played a lot of games where things looked pretty bad at first (3 gens done before any hooks) and then ending up with a 4k. It helps when you get a team of survivors who won't do anything other than try to rescue the moment someone is downed.
-
Taking a hit while another survivor is being carried counts as a protection hit as well iirc
-
In addition to what others have said, you can't get in trouble for playing the game badly, and there's no way to distinguish a killer wandering around aimlessly looking for a glyph from a killer wandering around aimlessly because they are bad at the game. If you could get banned for playing poorly then it would happen to every brand new player.
-
Yes, I got 32000 the very first game I played with her, and then again the second game. I'm not a very skilled player and rarely max out my score so I was really surprised.

Votes on the survivor:
Sir Robin
Tim the Enchanter
French Taunter

maybe you have a PS5 Blessed Edition™, I dunno.
It is on the newer side (got it in September) so I don't know if that might make a difference.

Bad News for everybody:
the fireworks of a generator completed during the Lunar Event make the game stutter on PS5

I do not experience this on PS5 at all

Just now played a game where all 4 survivors were still alive when the last gen popped. I downed a survivor that happened to be on death hook and just as I was about to hook, they DC'd. It's for reasons like this the DC penalty exists and should exist.
On the other hand, as the victim of spotty internet on rare occasions, I'm not in favor of a harsher penalty either. I think it's good as is.
-
I just turned 44 in November, but I would guess the majority of DbD players are 15-30.
-
Rework the bloodweb system with one or more of the following:
Removal of perk tiers
More incentive to prestige
Ability to sell or trade unwanted items, add-ons, and offerings
All survivors share items, add-ons, and offerings. All killers share offerings
Anything else that makes the grind more manageable. Feel free to add ideas to the list.
-
Definitely agree. I also think any rift fragments earned after reaching tier 70 should be converted to blood points.
-
I think something like this is a great idea.
I also think it would be good if at level 50 of each prestige you automatically gain all unlocked teachable perks (so at level 50 of prestige 1 you get all unlocked teachable perks at tier 1 and so on.
Like OP said, something like this will encourage prestiging.
-
Absolutely agree.
Rift fragments after completing the rift should award something. Maybe a tier 71 could accumulate excess fragments that could be exchanged for either shards or blood points. (1 fragment for 5 shards or 500 bp)
I also would like to see rewards for each tier of the free track (just like a few shards or bp).

That's totally fine.
I'm at the point that when I play killer, I just let everyone go anyway. I don't care about kills (anymore). I want BP and when I get 4 BBQ stacks, my round is complete.
This is me as well, though I generally go for 2 hooks each survivor.
It's to the point when I genuinely feel bad if someone gets left to die on hook or if I accidentally hook someone not realizing they already went to their 2nd hook state.
-
Faced her a couple of times but she's definitely my favorite killer to play as at the moment.

But as already mentioned PS4 doesn't have free weekends tho
DBD was available as a free playstation plus game a few years ago. Anyone with a ps plus membership could add it to their game library to download at any time in the future. I imagine there were a ton of PS4 players who tried it not realizing what kind of game it even was and then stopped playing immediately after.
-
You don't get a pop-up message for rift fragments, but they are still added to your rift progress - unless of course you've already reached the end of it.

Same.
Ever since they told us mmr is based on kills/escapes I stopped doing either and my games have become quite enjoyable again
Me too!
Most of my killer games go like this:
1. Play normally and try to get 2 hooks on everyone, but don't stress too much about it.
2. Be careful not to death hook anyone.
3. If I down someone on death hook I either leave them to get healed or let them wiggle free.
4. As soon as the last gen is completed I make a beeline for the nearest gate and open it.
5. Dance around at the open gate nodding my head like crazy, hoping some survivors will join my party.
It's been quite fun playing this way.
-
There is a ps4 disc version with the ST content on the disc. If you really want it you could check eBay. You'd have to reinstall and play from the disc but all your other content should still carry over.
-
62. Would have finished this weekend but my internet chose Friday to go all wonky and it's been bad ever since. I got DCed from at least 4 matches and I'm afraid to play anymore until I'm sure my internet won't crap out again.
-
The wording of that challenge is weird. I think you're the only one that has to play as Yun-Jin Lee. The wording makes it seem like the players that escape also have to be playing as her, but I don't think that's the case.
Also, these challenges that require others to escape before you do not require that you escape as well. Usually if I'm doing one of these I just hide somewhere after the exit gates are open. That way if others mess around at the gate I don't have to worry about getting pushed out first. If the timer expires and I die then so be it as long as the teabaggers leave before it does.

I usually send them back a LOL or a thumbs up emoji or something pending the exact nature of their message. They either never respond or they go nutter butters and that's super entertaining.
Yes, something like this. If I get a message along the lines of "hook camping tunneling trash" I send back "Thanks! It was fun playing with you too!"
-
I just remembered another one -
I would stand and kick a generator over and over because I thought that's how it worked. I didn't realize you had to hold the button until the generator actually got damaged.
I can't imagine what survivors thought of me kicking a generator for like 30 seconds, then running off without ever actually damaging it.
-
When I started playing I didn't understand health states and thought equipping different weapons affected the amount of damage inflicted.
-
I used to always run Lightweight. I know a lot of people think it's a garbage perk, and it really doesn't work for close chases or looping, but if you can get some distance it can help the killer to lose your trail.
I don't use it that much anymore, but still bust it out from time to time.

Well it sure isn't a romantic comedy.
Neither is Terminator. What's your point?
Your argument was that Terminator wouldn't work in DbD because DbD is only horror. I just pointed out that there is at least one license that's not strictly horror.

Terminator wasn't a horror movie though. DbD goes off of horror.
Stranger Things isn't exactly horror either.

I had a weird glitch last night where my killer rank kept getting reset every killer game I played.
When I first loaded the game yesterday I got my rank reset and rewards as normal. Then I played a killer match and my rank got "reset" again and I got 10,000 bp. This happened for the next 4 matches I played. It wasn't much, but pretty funny.
-
Make sure the entire pointing animation finishes before pressing any other buttons. Sometimes you can cancel the pointing without realizing it and it won't count toward the challenge.
-
@JPA said:
1 is probably too extreme, how about start with reducing to 3 or 2?
Another idea I had was to allow survivors to run 2 perks from other characters, and 2 of their own adept perks. It would somewhat reduce the power-level of some survivor builds... You won't see everyone running DS/BT/DH/IW anymore. Maybe if it's a David King you can run DS/BT/DH and WGLF, however it means that if you see a David in game, you can pretty much guarantee he has DH.
You can still get powerful builds but it restricts it a little bit, and makes the game slightly more predictable for the Killer. Survivors for the most part play around a Killers power. Killers have to play around perks, and you have to figure those out in game.
I would be a hard no on changing the number of perks that can be equipped for a match.
However, even though it's probably an unpopular opinion, I think it might be interesting (and make survivor selection more relevant) if one survivor perk slot could only equip one of the chosen survivor's teachable perks.
Unfortunately if that were to happen I'd have to give up lovely Zarina and play Dwight and David constantly.
-
Unless I'm going for a challenge that requires killing survivors I make it a point to only hook each person once or twice then let everyone finish gens. Once gens are done I personally open an exit and we all have a party at the gate.
Honestly I have a lot more fun playing killer that way.
-
I think there's something with Dead Hard and one of the recent updates where you see and hear the hit connect but Dead Hard negates the damage.

Aww man, no love for Demi yet? I don't think he is nearly as effective when by himself and playing killer, but when he plays survivor...especially with his friends...I find so much amusement in those videos. I personally recommend "Don't tunnel the pink claudette" or "DBD at 2/3/4 am series". He is quite good at the game, but doesn't tryhard. He just has genuine fun and I love it.
I think Demi is definitely the funniest I've seen. I love how he laughs at everything, even when he's getting smacked around.

The mistake is understandable, this is the first glyph that survivors can't do.
True it's the first that survivors can't do, but a few tomes ago we had blue glyphs and they were survivor only.
The difference is the description for blue glyphs made it super clear because you had to escape to complete the challenge.
Very easy to miss that the purple is killer only.
