  • I guess I'm lucky. I stink so bad as killer I can just play normally and my mmr still plummets.

But seriously, since mmr is based mostly if not completely on kills, why not just play normally and just not hook anyone for the third time? I play this way on purpose a lot. I have fun and survivors still get a good game because it's not obvious I'm going to try to let them escape.

  • Prestiging only gives you a cosmetic piece (bloody version of the default piece).

Personally I think a prestiged character should earn bonus bp, but one can dream. Right now it's just cosmetics.

Edit: I forgot that it also supposedly makes rarer items appear in the bloodweb more often, but in my opinion it's barely noticeable.

  • It does say "Killer Glyph Challenge" in the description but it's easy to miss.

I almost tried it as survivor myself but I watched a video first so I could see what I was looking for and it was mentioned on the video that it was only for killers. It wasn't until then that I noticed it in the description.

  • I believe the sale is going to last until November 17th, the last day Stranger Things content will be available. It was in the news feed a few days ago, so double check there.

  • Keep costs the same but award bonus bp for each prestige level (maybe 10% for p1, 25% for p2, 50% for p3).

Allow for the selling or trading in of unwanted items, add-ons, and offerings once p3 lv 50 is reached.

For each prestige level, offer an additional perk at each perk node. So at p1 there would be 2 perks offered at each node where a perk is available, and at p3 there would be 4. You would still only be able to choose 1.

I don't know why people keep healing under hooks. Doesn't DS disable if you made any interactions? It's giving the killer free estate to tunnel; you if he ever decide to come back and saw you got touched for a second lol

Being healed does not disable DS unless you are self healing

  • Are you sure it's lost? I've heard that it disappears from your load out screen but is still added back to your inventory. On the other hand, that might only be if the DC happens before the game finishes loading.

I don't think so. All progress is saved, it's just the access to the DLCs itself, and if these were to be re-aquired at any time then any progress made on these characters is re-unlocked. Teachable perks also remain unlocked permanently.

Yes, this is accurate. Sorry that I forgot to say this in my original response. When I switched from disc to digital all of my progress was saved, including on the dlc that was on the disc. I just had to buy the dlc to access the characters again.

  • No. Access to the dlc is on the disc. You would also lose access to Curtain Call and Shattered Bloodlines.

I have the nightmare edition, but about 6 months ago I decided I wanted a digital copy of the game in case I decide to get a PS5 without a disc drive. When I reinstalled the digital edition the ST dlc was grayed out along with the CC and SB chapters.

  • Billy or Kate would be the survivor. They could have cosmetics where Gizmo is riding in a backpack. Gizmo is way too small to be a survivor on his own.

A gremlin would also be pretty small, but probably not much smaller than hag and definitely bigger than Victor so it could possibly work.

  • @GrimoireWeiss said:

Tracking. You could completely remove the undetectable and the pick rate of the perk would probably not even drop.

This. If the perk just made you undetectable when a generator reached 70% progress without letting you know which generator, I doubt you'd see it used any more than monstrous shrine.

Nothing specific, but I honestly never really see people combine mixable outfits to look decent. It's always ever to either show the glitch is still there or to make the character look as ridiculous as possible

When I dress my character I have a loose rule that no two pieces can come from the same outfit.

I don't care for linked sets at all because mixing and matching is the best part of customizing.

    Which one is deception again?

Open a locker while running. You will trigger a noise notification but won't actually enter the locker. Scratch marks are hidden for the next 3 seconds.

You have to make sure you've broken LoS first, but if you can trick the killer into opening an empty locker you can gain significant distance or easily hide.

  • If you like to complete the tome challenges then you'll need it for one of the challenges this tome. It's not a bad perk if you use it right.

You obviously don't play survivor if you think freezes only affect the killer.

I play both roles pretty regularly on PS4 and can support this statement. Freezes affect both roles. It can seem worse for killer because you are solely responsible for completing the objective, but freezes during skill checks or while trying to keep an eye on the killer during chase is still very frustrating.

I just wish survivors had a perk for BP the way killers have always had BBQ. WGLF is not even close, even after the buff that came more recently. And now that survivors are punished by losing add ons, with all the killers who are afk to derank or farm for challenges, it's BS

WGLF just needs additional ways to earn tokens:

-repair the equivalent of one full generator

-heal the equivalent of one full health state of another survivor

    -cleanse a totem

It should be pretty routine to earn all 4 stacks as survivor just like it is for killer.

  • They will still be available as long as you've purchased the ST DLC. When you buy the DLC you also technically buy the prestige outfits even though you haven't unlocked them yet.

It was optional until i set out to do it. Being a completionist i can't quit prestiging now sadly

I feel your pain. I'm the same way. But right now I only have 4 survivors at p3 and a couple others at p1. No killers prestiged yet. It's going to be a long, hard road.

  • The only way I could possibly see allowing a killer to drop a pallet (or destroy an undropped pallet) is with a perk where you would have to earn tokens in order to do it.

Something like "Each time you break a dropped pallet earn a token. Spend 5/4/3 tokens to destroy an undropped pallet"

Still don't know if this would work, but I do know that just allowing a killer to drop all pallets at any time would be way too OP.

  • I play on PS4 and the store updated today at 11 am EST. All ST outfits are showing up as being 600 auric cells.

  • The FAQ seems to indicate that they will be available in the shrine, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere else (might not have been an official source) that they would just become generic perks.

One thing that is certain is that they will still be available whether you purchase any ST content or not.

  • 3, 6, 2, 7, 4, 9, 8, 5, X released in that order would be my recommendation

  • Nothing about the perks (apart from the icons and flavor text) is owned by Netflix. I'm not even sure why the perk names would need changed, as nothing about them is trademarked by Netflix.

  • I'm not lagging that much at all when I play survivor. Killer on the other hand is much worse and seriously frustrating.

  • I'm on 25. I've completed all the challenges in level 1 and so far I am on my 7th challenge of level 2.

  • I dislike being blinded in any situation, but absolutely HATE the flashlight bully squads that seem to be able to instantly blind you in every circumstance. Consequently I use lightborn 90% of the time.

I love it when a survivor tries to blind me and I just confidently walk right toward them without looking away. You can almost see the fear in their eyes as they realize what is happening.

  • I agree that a lot of dedicated players (including myself) may not have even given this game a second look without all the licenced horror content.

Thank you Michael for being the first!

That it's easy to dodge and loop the killer. I've been playing for a couple years and I'm just not good at it. I'm older though, in my 50s, so that's my excuse. My teenagers got me into the game a couple years ago. The yellow glyph skill checks... couldn't do it, so I gave up on it. Maybe I have a slower reaction time. Who knows. I have almost 3000 hours in the game, so I'm just saying.

Every once in a while, I'll get toxic players purposely try to bring the killer to me. I guess, because they want me to be more bold, or not play stealth. Who knows.

I've gotten better at using pallets, but not against killers like the Trickster, Huntress, etc, that can just go through it.

I also find looping difficult and I'm also an older player (mid 40s) so maybe that's a new myth we can start - the older you are the worse you are at looping.

The event only doubles the end game BP score earned like a Bloody Party Streamer does.

It however does stack manipulatively with BP offerings granting an insane amount of BP per game.

I'm not sure what you mean by manipulatively, but the bloodhunt does not seem to affect BP offerings in any way. I'm not sure if it did in the past, but the double bloodpoints only applies to the base amount earned in the match, as does any offering.

So for example, let's say you earn 20,000 bloodpoints in the match. The bloodhunt would double that, giving you another 20,000. If you took an escape cake, you would get another 20,000. If another player took Bloody Party Streamers, you would earn another 20,000. If you got 2 stacks in WGLF (50% bonus), you would get another 10,000. That is a total of 90,000 for one match, which is a lot of bloodpoints for sure, but without the bloodhunt would still be a lot (70,000).

I was saving my cakes because I thought the bloodhunt would double everyone's total after offerings were applied, but sadly that does not seem to be the case.

  • I'm pretty sure they do not

  • @Psycho_ said:

for being in proximity to hook it loses you bps already i believe

I don't think it loses you blood points but it does affect one of the emblems

  • I use this perk all the time, and usually not with anything to complement it. I agree it doesn't help too much while being chased, but it can prevent a killer from picking up your trail in the first place.

Of course I might just be wasting a perk slot. Like someone already said it's hard to determine how effective this perk is.

If you don't want it, why do it for them?

I think it'd be kinder just to leave

That's why I said I do just leave if I know everyone is safe and no one will need rescued. On the occasions when I do stay it's to get myself a few extra chase points.

  • For some, it's getting those last few chase/escape points. For others, it's to give the killer a free hit and a few more points before leaving. For still others, it's to teabag and clickety-click to show disrespect. For me personally it's the first one, though more often than not I will leave as soon as I know all living survivors are safe.

As killer I don't really want the last pity hit and don't want to give anyone the satisfaction of teabagging, so I stay away from the gates and either look for stuff to break or use my power over and over if it's something that gives points.

I've noticed a lot of people talking about bugs, glitches and hacks and I just wanted to ask... how long till this game goes down the toilet? I go online and nowadays all I see online is cringy fan art (no offense) and a lot of complaining so in all seriousness... how long till this game dies?

There are over 4000 pages on the general discussion forum alone, going back over 3 years to before the Curtain Call chapter. The kinds of complaints you are talking about have been around since the beginning.

  • It depends on what is enjoyable to you.

If the only way you can find enjoyment is through 3 and 4k games, I don't know what you tell you.

In the past few months I was getting extremely frustrated with playing killer, sometimes barely getting a few hooks let alone kills. I would get a small share of 4k games with an ok number of 2-3 kill games, but often I was getting pounded into the ground as killer.

But I discovered something with this event:

When the event started, I decided I would try not to sacrifice anyone so that everyone could get their crowns and the maximum value out of their cakes. I'm not saying I would throw the match, but if I got anyone to death hook I would leave them on the ground to be healed or let them wiggle out. After hooking someone, I would get as far from the hook as possible to make sure they could be rescued.

What I discovered is that I enjoyed playing killer a lot more when I really didn't care what the outcome of the match was. When the event ends, I plan to try to keep the same attitude (except for avoiding that 3rd hook).

  • The first Tremors was a great movie. Probably not possible as a dbd chapter but if they tried it I'd be all for it!

Kevin Bacon as a survivor - awesome!

  • I got all possible killer crowns and 6 survivor crowns so far. I will try to get them all but won't be too disappointed if I can't. I'll probably wear them occasionally just to mix things up.

  • What if the extra perks were the add-ons? So you would get your standard 4 perks from your regular perk collection, but would also unlock single use perks from the bloodweb to use like other add-ons. For the record I don't think this is a great idea, but I'm just brainstorming.

  • My understanding is that you would get 9000 shards total. They were given throughout the event but once you receive 9000 you won't get any more.

  • I can confirm that 2 different survivors stepping in the same trap (without the trap being moved) will fulfill the challenge.

I assume that a survivor first disarming the trap before catching another survivor in it will work, but that's not how I got it so I can't confirm.

  • The term 'camping' is somewhat subjective, and the act of camping is 100% allowable by game rules (even if you hook your first survivor of the match and just stand there and stare at them until they die), so I wouldn't worry about it.

No matter which side you play, people will accuse you of all sorts of nonsense. As a killer, I've been accused of tunneling in a match where I only managed to get a single hook. As a survivor, I've been accused (by the other survivors) of doing nothing all match to help the team even though I had unhooked and fully healed 2 other teammates (one of them 2 different times - the very one who said he was reporting me for not doing anything all match), completed one generator completely on my own, and one other generator with a teammate.

I don't get it either, but unless you are breaking the actual rules of the game you just have to let it roll off your back.

  • @Akito said:

Yea I wished they would made the challenges passive. Like most Killer tasks are things you already do by default.

Like "do totems/cleanse a hex" or "finish a gen/ get gens done as a team" "get chased/use objects during a chase"

And not "360 a Killer while he has Oblivious status effect while you are Exposed after 30 secs of stunning him with a pallet you lifted with Any Means Necessary without getting downed after 10 seconds"

"360 a Killer while he has Oblivious status effect while you are Exposed after 30 secs of stunning him with a pallet you lifted with Any Means Necessary without getting downed after 10 seconds"

LOL - I think this is actually going to be the first challenge in the next tome

  • How about you earn a token each time you are stunned by a pallet. You can spend a token to drop a pallet.

  • @Deadman316 said:

Will it be $60 like the Silent Hill chapter?

I really hope that no one paid this thinking it was just the Silent Hill content.

  • @Zozzy said:

Lightborn when i see flashlights in the lobby. I will purposely stare at them while i pick a survivor up and they go all weird lol.

I run it almost 100% of the time because I absolutely hate being blinded. I also love breaking a pallet and having some smug survivor waiting there shining a flashlight. You can almost see the fear in their eyes when they realize it's not working.

  • It definitely hasn't been as long as some are claiming. I've only been playing for about 9 months (since September of 2020) and I've seen one double blood points event (I think it was in the fall or winter of 2020) and one 1.5x event (I think for the lunar new year event a few months ago). I can't remember how long each one lasted.

But I agree that they should happen more often, like one weekend a month and a full week every quarter would be nice.

  • I could see a android or cyborg survivor. Mostly human in appearance but some robotic features, like Data from Star Trek.

I could also see a non-human but mostly humanoid survivor, something like a Klingon or Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Just to clarify, I am not advocating for licensed Star Trek or Marvel content. I just wanted to provide points of reference.

  • Yes! Either by selecting multiple challenges (at least 3) or by moving to a badge system similar to the one in the Friday the 13th game.

I think only having one challenge active at a time can encourage unhealthy gameplay. For example, if someone has the challenge to "Unlock 6 Chests" selected, they might equip Plunderer's Instinct, bring a coin offering, and just run around unlocking as many chests as they can find. If more than one challenge could be completed at a time, they could just play normally instead of being hyper-focused on that one task.
