Such a shame, as survivor, we should be facing The Artist 90 procent of our matches so close after release . But i feel like she's really unpopular. Such a shame!
Why are you not playing the artist?
When i played some matches yesterday i got all artist, and ngl, i feel like someone was probably playing them

Got to iridescent 4 with ease. Why people hate soloQ so much? It's nothing, compared to how you sweat as a killer (stuck to bronze there)
Idk man, I'd rather play killer for a day than solo q for 2 matches.

Prove Thyself, Built to Last, Streetwise. And one perk between Bond, Resilience, Spine Chill.
Bond to help find teammates easily and think. Resilience for gen speed greed.
And Spine Chill to make you feel safe with only safety perk.
I don't recommend Stake Out because it has synergy with Fast Track.
Also, Fast Track activating when few gen progress left is awful.
Anyway, you will eventually get that challenge done, feel free to play with perks you like if things go.. hard.
Yeah, i could just do this normally but i like making builds for every type of challenge. Even if the challenge is pretty simple (eg. Vault 5 times in chase) i like to use a build like resilience, spinechill, lithe, and windows of opportunity. Cheers

To get the achievement now you just need to open hatch with a key.

Not sure if serious, but when I play solo survivor, I run totem builds and cleanse every totem on the map to stop boons from going up because I think they're bs and terrible for the game
Yeah I did that when mikaela released and now im doing it so killers can get that pentimento value
-
Yes, as a survivor i have been breaking as many totems as i can for this perk. Got a killer to 5 stacks 4 times already, died all of those but well, not everyone appreciates honest work.
-
Bruh this perk is being the most used it ever was. Ands its not bad at all, just not as good as meta perks. You can negate the fix gen until last second then sprint burst to pallet, same thing for dead hard if they are injured. And the aura denial can be pretty hurtful as well.

i dont think hes THAT bad.
i honestly still think he's bottom of B-Tier, maybe C-Tier.
they made him incredibly unfun to play, not outright bad.
Agree, he is still relatively good, specially compared to old freddy, but damn does it feel horrible to play as him. Feels like i have the game in slowmotion.
-
When both a survivor and a killer agree the other survivor was a bad teammate, they will often team up together to give them what they deserve. Not saying you were a bad teammate, but both the killer and the survivor probably think so.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
This would've happened without the validation had DH just worked normally, this is definitely an issue with the perk and not the validation fix they applied.
Not really, since without validation you'd fly past the survivor too far for them to hit, while a validated hit stops you on your tracks and you can be kicked easily

I saw a video in the feedback section of a poor Billy colliding with a hanging tree branch. I guess that a lot of the more mobile killers might have issues with that map.
That aside, I have had pretty good success so far as a killer on that map, despite the strong loops the main building and the general vastness. Maybe people are overthinking it again? Or maybe I was just lucky? But I don't feel (personally) that it's such an aweful map for killers. The key thing for us is, that without fog bottles we have pretty far sight and its hard to properly hide there.
It's not too bad for killers, but man does it feel horrible to blight

@Smuk said:
Becouse it is a new map, deadlines, not properly tested etc.
The map is awful for a lot of killers - tile connections, especialy m2 based
Even then, the whole goddamn map wall should have collision. There was no reason to not have that in.

Sorry for that.
Guess phrase "I have 3 mostly worthless perks and prove thyself for bloodpoints, no items, and the default cosmetics" was confusing.
Having all the perks unlocked is good, but once you find you setup, about 10 of them can be used. Rest are bloodpoint sink.
But do try Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Empathy and something for the 4th slot. Minimum effort but works good.
Yeah, I just avoid most meta perks cuz they are unfun. But in the current meta, if you don't have meta perks on either side, you don't get to play the game
-
@RoaderFrost said:
Watching videos is good, but muscular memory is better. And to get better he need to practice.
And as perks to unlock from the beginning... Sprint Burst, Iron Will, Empathy, Plunderer's Instinct make a good setup.
Sprint Burst can be really beneficial when Killer choses target, simply running in opposite direction as the other survivor with flashlight went can save you multiple times.
Iron Will negate sounds you make when injured so even wounded you can try to hide and wait out. With all the clicky-clicky that's doable.
Empathy is one of the best aura readings, you know where to apply heal, when someone is wounded. And most importantly - it shows where the killer WAS. Every time someone show up via Empathy - guess, that's Killers work and he is close.
Why Plunderer's Instinct? Because you don't waste time finding the chest, get better items (don't save up, bring them every trial, you are going to find more). Also you will know where the basement is (chest bellow ground) and was it looted or not.
SWF gets a lot of information, so you should too.
Oof. I feel bad cuz everyone here is thinking I'm new to the game. I already have 1K hours and EVERY survivor perk unlocked on survivor. It's just I was messing around trying to get the most bloodpoints. I had deliverance, for the people, prove thyself and WGLF.

@CashelP14 said:
If your the worst in chase then the killer focusing you is very smart.
I'm sorry for you but you got to watch some videos and learn how to loop better. Once you get better at that then the game becomes much easier.
If you don't have it already then get Windows Of Opportunity (shows pallets and windows). If you want other perks to help you get better in chases then use Spine Chill + Resilience (faster vaulting) till you unlock more perks. Try and get perks like Dead Hard/Sprint Burst/Iron Will later on. These are all excellent chase perks.
It's less "I'm bad at chase" And more "my teammates all have 6K hours and are God loopers"
I'm not the best at chase, but I wasn't being downed in less than a minute.
And yeah, it is smart of the killer even if it feels horrible to be the victim

It always sucks having to tunnel out the weak link because as you said, they usually aren't the one being toxic, but it's a necessary evil to take some of the load off a tough match.
And ya know, the toxic swf usually runs the usual DS, BT, Unbreakable etc so tunneling and camping them isn't always a viable tactic.
Sadly true, but damn, it always does leave a bitter taste, specially when the killers makes a kebab out of me
-
Also, I don't want to be let alive for no reason, but when the tunneling is for the sake of BM, not game advantage, BM the toxic ones who aren't even doing gens for the sake of BM'ing

playing killer is one of the most stressful things in the entire game and as it has been shown over the years by the devs idea of balance that is not going to change (srsly its an asymmetrical game why are they balancing for 2kill2escape with a 50% kill average it should be 3kill1escape with a 65% kill average at least, killers are supposed to be the power role)
so what makes you decide that you want to play killer (other than being a masochist).
I personally only play killer to get 100% achievements and the tome challenges.
Because killer is less stressful to me, and no, the game should not be balanced around 3k1e, thats dumb

I mean, this is literally the argument we've had about swf on comms, which is even more of an external advantage than increasing dpi.
Nothing has been done about them, and I doubt it will for some time.
But anyhow, both mouse and controller can max 180° turn. Does this mean Mouse on insane DPI can't do some ######### turns that ######### you over more than a console does (the shorter bumps that a console player would find difficult)? no, it does not.
But does it make it either uncounterable or OP, no.
Any footage of the 180 controller flick? Never heard of them without external program

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296235/blight-is-so-boring-to-go-against
Higher dpi does not mean more than 180°, even controller can do hug techs and the up down flick, controller can do the same but people instead of practicing they just complain.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2656472#Comment_2656472
But this comment made me realize you do not know anything about blight if you think turn rate addons are good.
What is this so called up down flick? I've never heard of it even though I've probably watched every blight guide out there

@AnnoyingNarrator said:
It is a common belief that the harder the struggle, the more you learn from it. It is only by going through great struggles does one truly master the craft one is trying to master.
Trapper is the ultimate test for killers.
Sure, you could just camp but any killer can camp, no if you are to be a trapper main you must master two things:
The base kit for most killers and trap management
Or in other words, you must be able to use the tools every survivor knows and out marco the survivors, the side that holds most of the macro power in the game.
With little built-in power for both chases and for gens, trapper mains know how to make every second count and that is why they are terrifying.
Sure, blight mains may be able to dash around the map like a madman but put them in another killer and watch them flail around. The same goes for most other killers, they may be strong with their main but the skills they have don't transfer over to the killers that well.
What you need to learn to play trapper, however, is what you need to learn for every killer. Trapper is one of the most map-dependent killers, so you have to learn to play on maps that work against you. Trapper holds no marco power, so you have to learn how to stall correctly.
A trapper main is terrifying because they are playing a killer that is very vulnerable to all of the bugs and balance issues that plague this game, and yet still 4k like it's nothing.
If you main trapper, you hold my respect and my fear.
Another thing that's scary is that it feels impossible to escape a trap before he finds you. Once I stepped in a trap across the map in mother dwelling, it took me 6 attempts and he had double escape speed add one, caught up to me just as I escaped

Uhhh... no?
I don't know what word you had under that censor, but victim blaming is.... anytime you try to turn blame around on the person being actually wronged in that scenario.
Except it is mostly used in horrible situations to put blame on the victim of a tragedy, and here you are comparing it to losing in a videogame to an enemy doing their objective. If i'm playing COD, stay still in the open and get killed, and someone tells me to not do that. Its not victim blaming, its getting gud. Same principle here.
Very disrespectful to actual victims

I'm pretty sure chances in this case are multiplicative. my statistics are a bit rusty, but I'm pretty sure base chance it's 4x3 = 12%, that means that with more chances to escape (which in this case will increase the escape chance more than the 4% increase from slippery) we get 6 (escape attempts) x 20% (escape chance).
that's 20% chance on 6 tries.
obviously, it's not 120%.
let's look at it like dice.
let's say you have 6d5 (not real dice, just go with it), and you need to roll at least one 5.
(and this is the point where I forget how to move further with the math)
in conclusion, run deliverance/kindred and don't ######### on hook. :P
Thank you both, just one more question, shouldn't it be 0.74^6 instead of 0.8^6 since the average % is 26?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, as you may see I'm not the best at maths
edit: Me stupid, thought slippery meat added 4% every failed unhook, not just a base 4%

I wish they would add more, I still get paired in east and west servers just because I am in central, we do not have a proper server so the game just tosses us randomly from time to time.
There are no dedicated central servers in the U.S and I bet a lot of Brazilian players would also love a proper server since for some reason they play with us.
Actually brazil has a server in São Paulo, dunno why you'd be finding brazillians in US server. Those bastards leak out of there like sewage
But yeah, it feels like if you don't live where BHVR wants you get cucked

Yes if you stay at an average+ MMR it is okay but fact is it is sad that you cannot play at a high MMR without using boring mechanics.
I mean, you can't really get to high MMR without tunneling or using the best perks UNLESS you are a god at the game. If you want games where you can chill, just chill until the games come to you imo
-
Maybe increase the camping regression to 50% or even 75%. But also nerf the killer away speed to 125%.
This would make it a bit more balanced imo
-
@JohnWeak said:
Yup, pretty good regression perk that will have a huge synergy with Pop, used either on the same generator either on two separate generators.
However, it is sad that killers are relying on perks to prevent gen rush, which is, to my mind, a design flaw...
So as a killer you are pretty much forced to use 3 slow down perks : Corrupt, Pop and Scourge, leaving one slot for an original perk... breaking the combination of other perks such as Starstruck + Distressing...
i usually limit myself to 1 gen protection perk and usually get 2/3ks. As long as you play smart and the survivors aren't very high MMR, youd should do well. And there really isn't much of a reason to not run them since very few other perks aren't worthless sadly

So what do you think is the real dying breed?
Opposite for me, atleats 10 minutes for one killer match. For survivor, it is so fast i cant even go to the bathroom while waiting

This will never happen, but your idea is the ultimate hybrid killer
Ghostface's/Plague's ability to individually mark a survivor
Nurse's/freddy's ability to teleport (with added survivor teleport)
Deathslinger's shooting mechanic
Pyramid head's unique hooks
Wraith's stealth and speed
Nemesis' zombies

A console players can literally do every single one of the things mentioned, since it's apart of the base game and its mechanics.
It's just unreasonably hard since you're playing Blight with a controller.
Explain to me how any of the things I mentioned other than the lag flick is an exploit.
You cant do any of the flicks on console, but hug tech for sure is not an exploit
