Playing in a way that is frustrating to the opposition is as old as the concept of opposition iteslf, yet how some survivors get so triggered by me standing by their hook for 2 mins that they call me racial slurs and tell me to kill my self is beyond me.I by no means condone that though so, ok? Racial slurs are a bannable offence, tbagging is not, so comparing them is silly.
But here we are, once again - having a pissing contest about who is worse when both sides are just as bad as each other.
and camping is super boring anyway so I very rarely ever get attacked for such gameplay.
-
No where do I say survivors tbag for no reason? It’s been a thing for a 15 years in gaming and no community that I’ve been a part of has cried so much about it. It’s pretty clear why players do it when you come to the forums and see people wanting tbagging to result in things like insta downs. How the hell anyone can get upset by a character model moving up and down is beyond me.Nickenzie said:

It doesn't help the fact that there's so many weak-hearted players who get upset by tbagging or flashlights. I've never know a game where people complain so much about tbagging, it's been a thing for like 15+ years, why is everyone so easily offended now-a-days.
Game is pretty easy on both sides, and I'll continue to argue that the majority of the issues aren't mechanic related but are player related, in that people think they're better than they actually are, and when they come across a survivor or a killer that is better than them they blame mechanics for all their issues and say the game is unfair.
Here we go again with you assuming every survivor tbags for absolutely no reason @SenzuDuck . Ofc a survivor tbags for a reason, sometimes it's meant as an insult and others times it's meant as a compliment. It really depends on the context clues on the situation but saying it's childish for someone to get offended by a tbag is not fair.

I agree with this statement but... If I can't do well with Freddy, Legion, Leather Face, and other weak killers then was it truly me being bad? -

And I've said it before, and I'll say it again - most of us aren't looking to 4k all the time. We just want the killer game to feel less frustrating. Most of us don't mind losing when we're clearly outplayed - we just hated losing because of how easy it was to get our time wasted.
Game is indeed in better shape than it was int he begining though, I will grant you that.
I cannot comment on how it is now because I quit the game two months ago as I felt the communities toxicity creeping into my attitude. However, I hope to come back.
But everytime I even THINK about coming back, I run into this crap.
This isn't about us and them and "people wanting to 4ks all the time". We just want the game to feel fair. And to those of us who played both sides (myself included), it never feels close to fair most of the time - survivors held all the cards when it came down to time management.

While this is an ok idea, it slows down experimentation of new perks as you unlock them.
New players will just go to best sounding perks and wont dart about and try different builds.I think the best way to lessen the grind is either with each prestige, allow more perks to obtainable on each web, OR,
Level 20+ 1 Perk Per Web.
Level 40+ 2 Perks Per Web.
Level 50+ 3 Perks Per Web.I'd prefer the prestige version though, as it's another incentive to prestige and makes the grind easier with each time you do it.
-
@Sandt21 said:
Instead of getting only the default outfits bloody, let us apply that same blood to any cosmetic we have, default or otherwise. This way, we could even make prestige levels go far beyond level 3They said it's too much work, it isn't something they can just plop onto the clothing, they manually add it, and doing it for every outfit would be insane.
I think each prestige should increase frequency of perks on the web so the grind at P3 isn't as long as the grind at P1.

Yea if i get banned its on me but keyboards aren't cheap, I mean if you want that feels nice. I have to hold it for it to work though so it only lasts as long as needed.
Maybe the other "macro" bans were people using the Flashlight exploit but wanted to excuse it away with wiggle/hook macro.

All of those sentences came from a special place in my heart, and it hurts having all that warmth and emotion ripped away from your grasp due to your age.
Unfortunately it's probably tied to the NDA they'll probably ask you to sign if you qualify.

You’re not rewarded emblem points when a Survivor dies via bleed out.So speeding it up wouldn’t make it more viable, quite the opposite in fact. It would make it more difficult to find the Survivor in time and hook them.
Then don't slug? Most slug matches I've been in the last one has bled out and the killer is wondering around aimlessly looking for them while the survivor slides around the map for a bit.
If you want points for killing survivors then kill them, don't leave them slugged, simple as that.

I mean, to play devil's advocate, DW is only gonna be effective during a small part of the game. Additionally, the Legion's only way to down survivors is to either win a 110% chase or hope the survivors go down due to DW. Adding this could make the Legion more lethal and adds a new mechanic that can spice up the game. You have no idea what playing devils advocate means.

Because legion would be unstoppable, deep wound near pallet, survivor goes into first person, drops pallet, has no idea where the killer is, killer eats stun and downs them because the survivor has no counter at that point.
-
Slug bleedout should be faster in my opinion, which would make it less boring.
- it makes i more viable for killers as the survivor will die faster
- less time spent on the ground for survivors
- at end game when the survivor is hiding (downed) from the killer it prevents long empty gameplay
Maybe compensate the quicker death for a little more speed while slugged though to make hatch a little more possible, would have to tweak other perks that affect you while you're down though.
-
I think they're great, they used to be way worse but since making them smaller they're a lot more enjoyable for me.
-
1st person camera for survivors would make it impossible to play. I don't get why people think this is a good idea.
It would make survivors DC from every Legion match ever because it would be impossible to play.
-
It depends on the type of body blocking.
If you're standing at the top of the basement to wait out Borrowed Time, then that's fine, if you stand there for a long period of time then it is indeed bannable/reportable if it is deemed excessive.
If you trap a survivor in a corner to chainsaw them that's fine, if you trap them in the corner and do nothing for an excessive amount of time it can be bannable/reportable.

If he constantly gets you first maybe hone your skills or maybe look at another game to play because this might be to hard for you. Buuuuut if its messaging harrasment then just report him its not hard.I had a killer who would stream snipe me and lag switch when he got into my match, he then killed me, DC and would repeat, It's super rare and most people will never experience but on the off chance it does happen it is boring and spoils the game.

The reasons it's taking a few days to return the items is likely because you aren't closing the app, as annoying as this is - I think (I hope) if you go to PS4 Hub Menu, Hit Start (On DBD), and Close Application and load it back up again everything should be as normal.
I'm sorry to hear this is happening to you and I can't offer a full solution, if this doesn't help post it in the PS4 Bug Section on the forums.

@SenzuDuck Yes, looping is not directly related with SwF but when your friends all plays insta-heals, bodyblock the killers to allow him to recover without insta-heals with adrenaline at end-game you know how cancer it is for Low-Mid tier killer. DS to extent chase that's where the issues persist when you have gens that' can't handle the shock without ruin. He shows how much the gens is made with plastics and easily destroyed.Like i said if without ruins the gens can't survive the game remains unbalanced against SwF.
Ahhh, we're back to the point that we pretend every match is a 4-man SWF with 4 Insta heals that go around body blocking every pickup, gotcha, nothing more to see here.
-
I like it

-
Alternatively, you could just ready up and play the match, regardless of what the survivors do.
There's plenty of tactics & perks you can run, survivors have to run what they can regardless of the killer & killers simply can't run all the perks to counter everything, that's the point.
Pick builds that work to your strengths or boost things you're bad at. If you're too lazy to hover on a survivor for a second to bait out the flashlight user then run Lightborn, if you'd rather they didn't use those items at all, run franklins.
You shouldn't be able to counter absolutely everything each side can do or the games would be very boring, deal with the deck you are handed.
I can see why survivors do last second switch, while I can't confirm that's why the dodged there's been far too many instances of lobbies being closed as I equip a med kit or tool box, flashlights too.
If killers didn't dodge as many lobbies as they do (or used too, it doesn't happen nearly as often as it used too) then survivors wouldn't have to last second switch.

Most killers are afraid because the never ending loop destroy their experience but don't get me wrong, Killers is kind of well balanced (except all low-tier and some of mid tier). Let's face it the problem on killers side it's the gens rush and useless ruin that can be countered by tapping the gen.Against the best teams only Billy , Nurse and clown is up to the challenge even if sometime they get smashed too. What devs should do is buffing the gens (it takes 80 second solo and 44 , 33 and 28 seconds) with two , three and four survivors which is weak overall, buffing them by 10-15% will not be a great impact but would still be better then the current state.
Generators should be viable for all killers and without ruins they should also be all viable even without add-on on their power ( Freddy included ).
Looping has nothing to do with SWF though? If that one survivor keeps you busy the entire match they'll do it whether they are with friends or not.
Survivors are already tired of M1, the maps are the issue at this point, making people M1 for even more is just boring af for those player.

I really don't know, I feel like you should be warned if you're exposed period. Like you said, you make different decisions when you know you're exposed. If this means to buff NOED and Devour then do it because it doesn't feel good to not know you're a sitting duck. For the other hex perks, I agree, above rank 15 they should be hidden.
So you think as soon as a killer gets 3 Stacks on Devour everyone in the match should know about it? Lol, no.
Same goes for NOED, it's supposed to help poor killers/players secure a kill in end game, telling everyone it's active will make everyone leave immediately and the killer wont be able to use it.and also different ranks shouldn't have different rulesets, thats ridiculous.
You should know if you're exposed period. I feel like you don't understand how powerful the exposed status effect really is for some reason. It's a tide turner, you can win games from it in a blink of an eye. Quick story, I was playing Huntress and I started to use my hatchets to damage survivors when I reached 3 tokens since it doesn't give the survivors a exposed notification. Once I reached 5 tokens, I instadowned everyone and mori'd them all with ease. What's the lesson learned? I literally cannot stress how strong exposed is when you don't see it coming.
You can buff Devour Hope and NOED to compensate like I said before. I really feel like you should always be warned when it comes to being exposed since it really doesn't feel good to get instadowned randomly without having counter play.
I have 2500 hours in this game I know exactly how powerful exposed effect is, I don’t think NOED should even be in the game but devour is fine and would make it an even weaker perk if it notifies people at 3 tokens.
huntress has insta down hatchets that match LITERALLY could have been worse for them. -

I think Exposed hexs should be notified when they do something but others like ruin/lullaby/third seal should remain hidden.
Then again, if you pay attention to the HUD, you can tell if you're exposed by seeing a healthy survivor enter dying state and with some context clues (Like the exit gates are powered).
There's been plenty of times where I've asked myself "Did this person go down in one". You can't always pay attention to the HUD.
You should however, I feel - always know if you're going down in one hit, it's a huge difference and you'll probably make different choices knowing that.

I don't see why a negative connotation has to be put on survivors for doing their objective.
I think gen times are just fine right now.Even with BNP removed, I find the 5% winrate of killers on a higher level quite terrifying. (Marth88's experiment)
Marths experiment that means nothing because it's looking at it from one teams perspective.
There's been a lot of changes since the experiment so the stats definitely mean even less than they did now.
The killers he faced probably had a dozen of decent matches before that one bad match, it doesn't mean anything.Devs have showed recent stats and less than 50% of survivors survive at rank one, those are pretty good numbers.
The Dev's cannot show stats of "Rank 1" because DBD doesn't have a real ranking system.
People who are rank 1 can be terrible.
Rank one doesn't mean top 1%, it can be literally the worst player who understands the basics of the pip system.Marth88's experiment was closer to what a real rank 1 would represent.
A lot has changed? Then why not take a look at the recent 22+ survival streak of Noob3?
Wow, he won 22 games in a row near rank reset? He must be just amazing that really shows the imbalances that newer killers can be beaten by 4000 hour survivors this proves so much now thank you.
Also counting DCs as surviving as well kind of changes it a little, and hatch escapes, if three people die and one gets the hatch while that survivor did escape and survive three or less survivors died for it to happen lmao, doesn't really matter
"Oh, 3 people died and one survived? Doesn't really matter, that one person escaped so it's 100% imbalanced"

Isn't that ironic?
Who said they want more transparency? The devs.
To avoid confusions, misunderstandings, frustrations etc.
Which is good.
So changes that will heavily affect the players shouldn't have a behind-the-scenes.and they are transparent, they've said they're working on Freddy/DS but not going into specifics yet, they always are working on making the game less frustrating, so it's expected content they shouldn't have to talk about constantly.
If they we're telling us about every minor thing they were changing they'd have no time to talk about anything.
You just simply can't expect them to go over every single thing they're working on, they say things like DS/Freddy and that's all we need to know, we don't need to know every change and I'm sure they'll be great when we PTB test them.
-
@Boss said:
Refreshing doesn't fix it though.
Rather than leaving frustration there and recommending other games, the aim should be to make it not frustrating. It's a bad line for business as well.
But also, as we've seen with DS/Freddy, if they say something on stream they'll have it brought up every day until it's done, this just creates more negativity and frustrations because they haven't done what the players expect.
There's been several killer buffs this year, certainly changes that made killing easier and the updates were made after that comment, so while he did say that, they were of course working on things behind the scenes to make it easier.
