I'm honestly ashamed of all this hate towards someones work, there was no way it was going to appease everyone, just let it happen and move on, this constantly putting down someones work is actually disgusting.

It's ok, they complained about For The People being op too, half the people on this forum don't understand the game at all, everything is op and the devs are definitely against them.

I only say that because I just don't think it would bring as much hype. Legendary cosmetics are likely gonna cost more then Very Rare ones and I just don't think they would get a lot of sales on original characters ya know?
yea but like, how many people play Laurie, Quentin, Tap, Ash, Bill?
The only played licenses I really see are Nancy & Steve, I just don't see people buying these legendary skins for characters they don't even level or care about

They did add cosmetics for most of the licensed characters though. We don’t know since when the legendary skins were planned, maybe they already made those arrangements for other characters because it was already planned
Oh I know, I'm just thinking it's a missed opportunity to restrict them to only being with licensed characters, they could have 0 planned and we'll rarely see them, you know?

I think they're going to keep it limited to licensed characters but who knows.
The only way I see it being for Licensed characters is if they had a bunch lined up from the passed DLCs, but we've seen how strict those can be so is it really likely we're going to see a lot of these if it is only for licensed characters?
-
Yea I was thinking it would be cool to have a legendary skin that turned Claudette into her mother because she played such a prominent role in her lore, or even Evan turning into his wicked father.
-
They can be modified if the way to obtain them has been completely removed.
-
It took 42 minutes after the release of spirit for people to complain about how weak she is, i think it's fine for people to also complain about strength or whatever when they don't understand the killer yet.
-
It's likely it will come with some sort of graphics options I assume.
-
I'm hoping for some sort of bloodpoint increase.
I originally put the idea that for every devotion level you get you could increase your cap by 50K this would reward long standing players by allowing them to save points and level new content quicker to lessen the grind, they could tie it to prestige instead, every prestige level increases your cap by 15K or something, 45K for every P350 character would be pretty cool I guess, idk I just want a bigger cap to lessen the grind for veterans and stuff,
-
Pretty sure the devs said on their last stream that there wasn't an increase in hook suicides once the DC penalty went live.

I think you replied to me in the wrong post? lol

So the developers actually announced that they are going to work on servers also the question i will ask you is are you using a vpn because it looked like either you or that doctor is lagging.
It's usually the killers using VPNs when this stuff happens.
-
I guess someone got hold of some tool to join lobbies as killer, and is using it as some sort of "whitehat" attempt at encouraging the devs to fix the game.
They could just report how they're doing it but I suspect they're probably just using it and not the ones the developed the bypass.
-
There have been a string of hacks going around, I would definitely report this player. I'm assuming you're on PC so you can submit more evidence through this website

I was honestly really sad last year when they did those pitch black character skins for all the new killers and never released them, would have looked great.
-
I feel like this is more of a brag/stir the pot post honestly, camping is seriously the easiest thing you can do in DBD, you only have 4 perk slots you can't exactly expand further than downing someone and sitting in front of their face.
I feel like this is akin to a survivor asking what the best clicky flashlight build is.

Question is - why does it take so long sometimes?
Yesterday, I had 4 Cheaters in total. One of them was reported by me earlier:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/151574/so-i-had-my-first-hacker-in-my-lobby
This was 11 days ago. How can I still have this guy in a Lobby? What needs to be done to report those people so they can get banned as fast as possible? Because apparently an ingame-Report is not enough.
Because bans that involve large scale tools are usually done in waves as to obfuscate how they're being detected, people would run certain hacks up until they get banned and then work from there on what they were using and what may have been detected, if you ban a heck tonne of people all on the same day you never really can pinpoint what caused the ban.

idk man, still just looks like the skull from the DBD logo tbh.

- Make portals indestructible and change add-ons that relate to cleanse speed
- Allow Demogorgon to destroy a portal at any range with an alternate button
- Portals are only visible to survivors while the Demogorgon is climbing out of them
- Remove the roar while it teleports, but keep the tearing digging sound in so that survivors can still hear it coming, but it's more subtle, like Freddy's teleporting wind wooshing sound.
The survivors being able to control a killers power like that, especially when it's hardly that strong, isn't good. Force survivors to be more observant and wary when they are working on generators. i honestly don't think it would be too strong, but it would give it the boost it needs.
- Portals can be destroyed because they give location info, imagine if you couldn't break them, he stacks portals, puts one at every gen and knows exactly when and where the survivors are in terms of objective.
- Again, he could just break his portals end game, surround both switches and see that survivors are at the gates.
- So not only does he become undetectable when coming out of them survivors also can't keep an eye on already activated portals so they can be proactive? Very excessive ontop of everything else as well.
- Why does it matter if you can hear when you can only see him as he starts to emerge.
all your ideas just make him unbeatable.
-
This is like the 2093447502 time I've seen a thread about punishing survivors for something they aren't in control of, did you know if you keep trying and practising against people that are better than you, even if significantly better than you, you too will become better at the game.
-
I don't get why the players in here are acting like sounds are broken 100% of the time because they aren't, at all.
-
The only time camping isn't "balanced" in this context is when NOED is involved.
Killers do always state that to combat canning you just do gens, you can't reasonably do all gens and find all totems before the first person dies unless you get lucky with the turns, this method of gameplay basically gaurantees 2 kills, you can increase this by slugging end game if your totem is in a good spot.
For what it's worth, I'm fine with camping, yes it's boring and I'll continue to say it's boring but it's fine until it's coupled with NOED imo.

I just want to clarify one thing; while we aren't planning to make it automatic, that does not mean that it won't ever be changed to something else (something other than button mashing).
Please discuss this with the team, I know multiple people with RSI or previous hand injuries that can only play an hour or two of survivors because of this, it's unnecessary and doesn't add anything to the game, thank you for your consideration.
-
I've queued up in the same lobby with survivors before, I've also had the same killers back to back before, the odds aren't all that slim.

Because survivor is so easy since the ruin nerf that every boosted potato and their mom is a red rank survivor these days. So for killers who were used to playing against the good survivors, rolling the new generation of gen rushers rocking who can barely loop isn't particularly hard. So that's why saying "ooo I 4k at red ranks I am good killer" means almost nothing.
You can get red ranks who camp the shack pallet, or red ranks who know how to run every tile. And it really only takes 1 or 2 bad survivors to sink a team if the killer is good.
I've been 4k average since I started playing 3 years ago, and if there's all these potatos in red ranks like you imply why are all the killer on the forum in their collective group trying to nerf everything under the sun?
-
@Shocktober said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1274406#Comment_1274406
Nah, I think killer was way easier in the days of 5 blink or omegablink nurse. Or maybe during 15m lunge range spirit. Ruin + Pop was just so brutal on every killer. Being able to dribble DS or ignore it with enduring almost made up for double the pallets.
These days though, I see survivors with less than 100 hours in red ranks. All they gotta do is level up 4x second chance perks and they will waste a good amount of time even if they can't loop and camp every pallet. I saw a baby Laurie the other day with almost the full combo leveled to 3 already. BT/DS/DH/Unbreakable.
So it's not much of a surprise that veteran players can slay most lobbies even at red ranks. But will a veteran slay another lobby of veterans? Ehhhh, depends on the map and what killer you are playing mainly.
What are you talking about? Why are you going on a tangent about survivor being easy? I never implied, or even stated that survivor is somehow hard, both sides are easy so I'm not entirely sure what your point is, and yea sure nurse was easy when she had omegablink / 3 blinks, but how was killer, as a whole easier just because nurse had omega?
It's like if survivors said killer got easier because doc was buffed recently, doesn't really make much sense, if any at all.
-
Considering killer is the easiest it's ever been in DBDs lifetime, how are killer mains still not good enough to get 2Ks consistently even against solo players?
This forum by all means has labelled me a "survivor main", yet i hop on my rank 1 killer and 3/4K almost every game I play, a "survivor main"... better than killers... That's a Y I K E S bruh.
-
Probably the only perk on the survivor side that needs serious work.
-
It's her lip.

All killers suck if you're bad at the game :)

'Killer is easier than it's ever been'.
Suuuure it is.Keep telling yourself that. That's why Legion, Clown, Plague, and Wraith are pure trash. And Ghostface is rendered into a joke with SWF comms.
Actually, most Killers are trash against a Sweat With Friends. It's stupidly OP when the Survivors can tell everyone else where the Killer is and what they're doing every second.
But keep telling yourself that Killers are easy and SWF is not a broken failure of an idea.
I agree, clown is trash, Legion, Plague & Wraith are 100% playable, you're just bad with them, same goes for Ghostface, stop expecting and wanting to be good with every killer all the time, it's unrealistic.
It's 100% the easiest it's ever been, if you think playing killer was easier when, actual infinites existed, old BNPs existed, old insta heals existed, more pallets existed, double pallets existed, vacuum pallet existed then by all means preach it becaue no one else is preaching that with you, if with the removal of all this stuff didn't help you then you were never a good killer to begin with.

By that logic, every single player game needs group play.
If a game is made, explicitly, without a party system, it won't kill it. Hell, this game was fine without it, but people pushed to play with friends, not realizing just how badly it would break the game.
They came out and said SWF was always intended, people also used to dodge lobbie to be queued together, do you really think people would stick around if they had to constantly dodge lobbie and hopefully get paired as a 4 man? I don't think so, forced solo would be hell, killer is the easiest it's ever been, killers 4Kd 3 years ago, and it's only gotten easier to do so.

@Entity_Hugs said:
SWF's ruin this game.
I can have some fun matches, win or lose, but when you go up against a Sweat With Friends group, you KNOW it.
They know exactly where you are at all times, and will bail on generators earlier than non-SWFs, so you NEVER see anyone.
Regardless of perks and playstyle, they will know if you're near a hooked Survivor, and know the second you walk away.
SWFs basically make Ghostface/Pig useless, because they know not only where you are (making the lack of TR a non-issue) but frequently what DIRECTION you are coming from, so they are all looking at you before you get there.
They know, precisely, which gens are being done and how far along they are. In a non-SWF, kicking a gen may buy a Killer time. In a Sweat With Friends, the Survivors know THAT gen had 80% progress, and they WILL swarm it. All while staying 100% invisible because they know where the Killer is at all times.
Sweat With Friends was, hands down, the dumbest idea for this game. Voice comms give Survivors the abilities of a few perks and more, and yet the devs are all to afraid to remove it. They can't tell when survivors are cheating and using Discord, so removal is the only way to fix this travesty of an idea.
But they won't, so so Killers have to deal with Sweat With Friends and bully squads.
Maybe, if they eventually make a DBD2, they'll be good enough to avoid adding a Sweat With Friends mode. Or make it a different queue. Because I can tell you RIGHT NOW; if they made Sweat With Friends opt-in, even for a month, they'd see how many Killers are sick of being bulled by cheaters using voice comms.
SWF is the only reason this game still has a playerbase, and they will 100% add SWF if they ever made a DBD.
Do you know how ridiculous it is to even suggest a game past 2020 that is team based that stops you from playing with your friends? Pretty ridiculous, game ending, even.

Bud you can't put in quotes something I never said then base your arguement on it.
"Just played a daily and had a 3 SWF, injuried them all so they went off to a corner and healed each other.. How do you play against that?
Slow down the healing for numbers of SWFs."
So what you're saying is, you couldn't find a single survivor, they all healed, you couldn't find the fourth so the survivors healed themselves? Whats the difference between that and randoms healing each other? You didn't find them either way, you're assuming everything and trying to base nerfs on assumptions.

You've put in quotes something I said but haven't???
It's essentially what you're saying, you lost three survivors and assumed you they went into a corner and healed each other and think that's grounds for nerfs because you struggled.

"nerf survivors healing speed because i can't even find 1 of 3 injured survivors", you don't want nerfs for balance, you want nerfs because you need more help in match.

Please explain, eg how does it punish solo survivors
You run the team mate, but you have to do it more because your SWF team mates are forced to do gens slower, it aint that hard to figure out, chief.

1.1% reduction in all action speeds per SWF member for those members only:
2 members - 2.2% reduction each
3 members - 3.3% reduction each
4 members - 4.4% reduction each
They have to queue together, it can't be that hard to program and it wouldn't affect solo queuers all that much. Gens pop like mad as it is, anyway.
This punishes solo players just as much as it punishes SWF, and it'll just make more solo' people wait to play with their friends because it's better to play with friends and a reduction than play solo and everyone else be slowed.
Nerfing speeds is not healthy for the game.

One even found the random and summoned another group heal.
I'm lucky to get healed by anyone when I play solo

I was gonna say that but people hate being on the hook so idk
I don't understand this pseudo nicey-nicey thing killers have been doing since this forum started.
They'll go on about having to play dirty all match to get wins, constantly "having" to slug etc, but you tell them that you can slug to counter DS and they come back with "But survivors don't like being slugged", as if they've ever cared before, same thing here "I didn't want survivors to spend more time on the hook because they don't like it" knowing full well you and everyone here will tunnel and camp at the slightest hint a match may be difficult.
