Make gens harder to find for survivors.
Removing lightpoles, darken spots, obscure them with structures ect
Make killers kicks more powerful so they are more useful as it stands a survivor tap is far more powerful then a killer kick... regression is a joke.
Require easily obtainable fuses for generator starts so they can't be just instantly worked on constantly and instantly, creating a sort of warm up for the early game trail
Trail difficulty should be influenced by rank for certain. Difficulty for both sides should go up for each bracket.
Purple ranks= less perks
Red ranks= longer gen times/less hooks
Lol, less hooks to make it more difficult for killers? lmfao, not even comparable to gen times, surely you mean more time on the hook, yea?

Yea, this patch wasn't very good because it didn't give killers automatic 4Ks.

They could negotiate before the deal is made. Leatherface for example has multiple skins in Mortal Kombat but we don’t have any, so it is possible.
I don't think you understand really, the studios are probably very much "this is it or no deal". You can't negotiate with that, especially when Leatherface was so early in this games life they probably didn't have capital to keep throwing at a license and securing things like that when they didn't know if or how much money it would even make.
-
You can't simply expect BHVR to negotiate on this, the studios are very set in their ways and very rarely license their stuff out to anyone, let alone a relatively small company like BHVR, and especially not with custom fits.
-
sounds like changing the entire game so you don't have to deal with things that can be countered.

The whining and entitlement from survivors gets worse every day.
Just take your free escape and move on, what a sad cringe thread.
But when killers complain about DCing it isn't entitlement, but this is? The double standard is very obvious on this forums, that's the true "sad cringe".

So now you're agreeing with me just so you can say I played myself? Your comment was that "an AFK survivor doesn't effect anything." But it does. I personally don't care when I play, but I'm not one of those people that thinks my own personal thoughts and experiences dictates everything. Sound like somebody you know? Hmmm here's a hint: It's you.
an afk player doesn't stop anyone from doing anything, you can still save, you can still down, you can still get your kills and stack, a dcing survivor you get none of that.
on the other side, an afk killer you can't get ANY interaction points with the killer, be it stuns, saves, jukes etc.
a survivor DCing is on the same level as a killer AFKing.
Do you have like 2 hours in this game or something? I would bet that 99% of the people in the forums would take a DCing survivor over an AFK wraith because at least the match can be played out.

My scenario isn't made up because it happens frequently and I have proof from my stream last night just how frequently it happens.
If a killer DCs, then the game gets completely ended and survivors only get 5K BPs, and this is after sitting in a longer queue, and sometimes that bugs out and you don't get any BPs. If a survivor AFKs, they actually completely screw over their team and give the killer a non-competitive match. Did you ever stop to think maybe the killer wants a challenge and not just 3 survivors begging for mercy and trying to initiate a farming game or expecting hatch? 9 times out of 10, if there's an AFK or a DC, the survivors I go against will just give up or they'll all crouch and slowly walk towards me and try to get me to farm BPs. Either action bastardizes the match. As a killer you can't get max Sacrifice because the AFK guy won't struggle and will just die on second hook, which will also effect your emblem ratings.
It's not so black and white sweetie.
KEKW
" Did you ever stop to think maybe the killer wants a challenge and not just 3 survivors begging for mercy and trying to initiate a farming game or expecting hatch? "
That sentence alone is just hilarious, did you ever stop to think maybe the survivors want a challenge and not a free escape with barely any points? You basically played yourself, sweetie.

Well the last 5 or 6 matches I played as killer, everybody got under 10K BP because I massacred them. One player even got 4700 BP. You're the one making a perfect scenario, acting like an AFK is the same as a DC when it very clearly is not.
What does an AFK survivor prevent anyone from doing? Nothing.
What does an AFK killer prevent you doing? Earning any points related between survivor + killer, that's a lot
What does a DCing player prevent? Earning any point between that survivor and other survivor and that survivor and killer.
They're very comparable, and no, i didn't make up any scenarios like you did,

If the killer decides to remove a person from the game, more than likely, that person is gone. Like peanits said, that is reportable and im not sure what that dweet did to deserve that, if anything, but that killer gives killers a very bad name.
Please don't generalize this behavior with ALL killers.
May be off topic but how come when ever a killer does something bad, it's defended with "I don't know what the survivor did" implying the survivor somehow deserved it?
It's probably one of the two, the player is a twitch streamer or, the killer caught them breaking that totem and decided they'd ruin that persons match for no reason.

Simple really,
Survivors can't win unless they do gens, Killers can win without tunnelling.

They're not comparable because even with an AFK Wraith you can gain about 16K BP which is more than you'll ever gain from getting tunneled and camped. A DCing killer just ends the trial automatically and just gives out 5K BP.
I'm Rank 1 on both sides as well and play a lot of SWF. I'm not biased against survivors in general, just ones with entitled attitudes.
What is it with killer players just making perfect scenarios.
"yea well if you were tunneled and camped you'd get less points" ok but what if I wasn't tunneled and camped, and the killer wasn't afk? I could have a normal match and earn a normal amount of points while playing the game how it's supposed to be lmfao.

Report I guess if you feel the need to
they are comparable, an AFK survivor doesn't prevent normal gameplay, an AFK killer does, I actually think an AFK killer is worse for the game than a dcing survivor simply because people can still earn the points and have a somewhat enjoyable match, a killer afking was just a 5 minute queue, gens done and escape, literally no challenge, no fun, at least I can have a challenge, earn legit points etc if a survivor DCs.

All you did was copy somebody else's earlier post on this thread. I was referencing the Survivor's Rulebook for Killers, and saying "Wow now we're adding more to it?" What does that have to do with a bunch of meta survivor perks?
Funny how guys like you seem to hate killer mains so much but you get so sad when killers AFK? Could it be you can't play without killer? "Wahhh the killer AFKed so I couldn't teabag and point at them after pallet stuns and rapidly vault windows to annoy him with sound notifications."
Also comparing an AFK killer to a DCing survivor is a false equivalency. Killers don't complain about AFK survivors ever, yet you chose to mention DCs instead? Why not compare AFK to AFK?
All you did was copy somebody else's earlier post on this thread. I was referencing the Survivor's Rulebook for Killers, and saying "Wow now we're adding more to it?" What does that have to do with a bunch of meta survivor perks?
I can assure you that nothing was copy & pasted, survivors and killers both have rulebooks, and guess what? You don't have to abide by either, it's so weird how that works.

Lmao, what? I don't hate killer mains, I'm rank 1 all day long on both sides, it's almost like an entire bloodpoint category is obtained by playing around with the killer, survivors make between 10 - 18K on average in a normal match, that's reduced significantly when the killer isn't playing . It's almost as if this is a 1v4 game and that's why people queue up, for the 1v4 experience, not a killer AFKing, you're clearly very jaded and hateful towards survivors, that's evident.
Also comparing an AFK killer to a DCing survivor is a false equivalency. Killers don't complain about AFK survivors ever, yet you chose to mention DCs instead? Why not compare AFK to AFK?
This is where your bias shows sweetie, a survivor AFKing doesn't prevent other survivors from doing anything, or partaking in normal gameplay, it doesn't even stop the killer doing what the need to, however, a killer afking prevents all interaction that you can do with a killer, which is what happens when a survivor dcs, that's why they're more comparable than a survivor AFKing.

Then don't take the free escape just wait for the timer to run out and take the sacrifice and move on to the next game. I don't see why to get worked up about something that happens once in a blue moon.
I do understand wanting to play and the killer not playing and standing in the corner picking his nose
It's not something to get worked up about, but it should be something talked about, AFKing wraiths are just as much of a problem as people DCing, it may not happen on as big a scale but they should both be punishable.

@ChainsawCharlie said:
Damn, so killers can't camp, tunnel, slug, use noed, proxy hooks, use Moris, chase down after DS, close the hatch, down a survivor that got their 4%, etc and now they can't even stand in the corner and do nothing. There's an extremely specific way you have to play as killer and it seems even then, you'll still get complaints.
Personally...I'd say just move on? It doesn't happen often enough to matter. I've been playing for about a year now and only encountered 1 or 2 AFK Wraiths and then 1 AFK Spirit.
Sorry, what's stopping you from doing all of those things? Nothing at all, you're trying to use the opinion of a few to backup a non-argument. I guess survivors can't use DS, DH, Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, Sprint Burst, Keys, 99 Gates, Loop, Bodyblock, Adrenaline
Queuing up for 5 minutes to have a killer AFK and netting yourself 10K points isn't fun, I don't see how anyone can defend this as a "free escape", I, like many, don't queue to escape, we queue to be chased, almost die, maybe escape, the entire point of the match is removed if a killer is afk.

Bloodlust was a mechanic in the game to balance out bad map design, but now that the developers reworked the most problematic maps. I believe Bloodlust deserves to go because most tiles offer fair mindgames to both roles — keeping Bloodlust makes all mindgames killer favorable. 😕
I strongly disagree the developers stance on Bloodlust because every 15 seconds, if the killer chooses to ignore pallets, you will take a hit without skill input from the killer.
and in all honesty, I think we can all agree that 95% of the time blood lust is activated is not to counter strong windows, it's just used on pallets that killers should be breaking but don't want to.

I never run DS, the issue with that is, and I've seen it more and more often lately is when nobody is running it, there is no obsession and it basically tells the killer they can tunnel, while this is fine, it is boring af and definitely makes people run it more.

We all know that the lazy and bad players are not going away. I feel that when this mmr system is introduced itll change a bit, personally i think that with how the ranked matchmaking is having killers like me (green rank, against red ranks) is a bit unfair but the devs are working on it, and as of this mid chapter they are also working on maps. I just experience this regression thing not as a massive issue most of the time but it is a small issue that i just thought I'd propose instead of crying nerf maps nerf this nerf that, perhaps just a small change that could ease the genrush complaints, and make the game a bit more exciting. Just my opinion.
The "crying map nerfs" is warranted though, some loops have been too strong for way too long, and some maps have been abhorrently large since they were introduced, we need to look at those and see first, they ARE an issue, how ever gen times are fine, and so is the regression.
-
There is this information page, it looks like DBD won't be able to help you and you'll have to contact Sony for a refund, good luck getting it all sorted.
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041141992--PS4-I-ve-purchased-some-cells-but-have-not-received-them
First, please head into the in-game store – sometimes cells will become “stuck” and heading into the store may fix this issue.
If your store says “there are no packs available” you may have an issue where your account/game/store regions are not matching. This causes what is known as a “SKU Mismatch” due to Playstation’s regional settings.
Unfortunately, the only way to resolve this will be to arrange a refund and look into ways of resolving this mismatch. As we do not process payments ourselves, we can’t provide this for you, nor are we able to manually credit you with cells.
-
Gens really don't need to be touched at all, they're perfectly fine, buff the "weaker" killers, and pray players will actually play well, the amount of just awful awful players in this game at rank one is astounding, and the majority of them think they deserve to be there (on both sides) so when they have a string of bad matches, or they play poorly, because they think they should be there they don't fault themselves for the match and instead like to say each side is op etc.
The two major issues with this game is lazy/bad players & maps.

Oh resetting a lost match by rng is not a crutch? Alright bud time to sleep.
It doesn't reset squat, they didn't gain anything by being on the floor, they didn't magically activate it, it wasn't something they knew would happen, you're simply a bad killer if one kobe resets the match for you.

All 4 are slugged. What do you have to lose? Nothing. But oh boy 1 kobe can reset the whole match. If that's not a bug handhold idk what else is.
If it's the last thing you can do it's hardly a crutch additionally, it can only happen once, you can't kobe twice so how does it hand hold you? you act like you can attempt it every time you're on the hook, and if you're losing games that you've slugged 4 people in due to one kobe then ohhhh boy that 4-man slug was just as lucky as the kobe was.

What's the definition of crutch? Handholds for free. Kobe is handholding and bloodlust is handholding. Simple.
Kobe you literally give up time on the hook and possibly put yourself into death hook, it's hardly free.

I believe you misunderstood how the MGC would work because you mentioned 3-gens lasting longer than 5 minutes.
Here's how MGC works
Step 1.) If a generator hasn't been completed in the last 5 minutes, the MGC activates.
Step 2.) MGC will sacrifice a survivor with the lowest total emblem score within 2 minutes.
Step 3.) After a survivor is sacrificed, go back to step 2.
Step 4.) If a generator is completed, MGC is deactivated and go back to step 1.
You won't die if a 3-gen lasts longer than 5 minutes, only if it lasts longer than 7 minutes. Even if it does, you can potentially live depending on your total emblem score.
Also, you must give me specifics for me to fully understand your point of view.
Can you send me a video so I can see what 3-gen situation you're talking about? Perhaps, that might help me see what you're trying to say! 😄
I believe you misunderstood, this idea just isn't good, it's just killing survivors off that are being 3-genned.
-
@NMCKE said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1252373#Comment_1252373
If the killer is hardcore defending 3 generators, the killer won't have enough time to sacrifice anyone because they would have to drop chase everytime a survivor away from their 3-gen. Therefore, you will almost always have a full team remaining to overwhelm the killer's 3-gen.
It's completely fair to use the team execuse because survivors must work together to overcome the killer — that's the design of the game. If someone doesn't pull their weight, that ultimately affects the entire team. That's the nature of being in a team, and if you don't like that then I don't think this game is meant for you. If survivors didn't need to work together to win, just imagine what a half-decent SWF with basic communication skills can do.
As for the "7 minutes is enough time", are you kidding? The killers constantly badger on about how fast matches are but now if they go for too long we just auto execute all the survivors who are against a killer rotating between gens?
I'd like to refer to my first paragraph, you can have multiple survivors chipping away at 3 generators. The killer has to spend travel time + chase time to temporarily stop a survivor from repairing it (keep in mind other survivors are making progress on the other generators).
This process shouldn't take anymore than 7 minutes (5 minutes to activate MGC + 2 minute MGC timer), and if it does, it's likely because you have 2 survivors remaining. At that point, you minus well accept you won't be able to beat the 3-gen and farm emblem points so that the Entity doesn't pick to sacrifice you first.
Nothing you say matters when there are people here, myself included who have had 3 gen strats last longer than 5 minutes and come out with a win for the survivor side, this just grants a win to the killer on an evenly matched survivor and killer match up who can play each other long enough

Same problem.as.the hook, when do you count it as AFK? If i see 4 ppl teabagging because the matchmaking is so bad it makes the match impossible you better believe im getting up and making a sandwich. Doesnt happen often, HOWEVER when i have to deal with a 4swf half the time i cant even see them because im being xalled out. Doesnt happen at all with 2swf and 3 swf is a coordinated pain but semimanageable
I was being facetious, additionally, what has 4 people tbagging got to do with match making? T-bagging has to be the most comical thing I hear people complain about it, it does nothing. and of course "they must be 4 man swf" killer isn't that hard, put more hours into the game.
-
I think we should start punishing killers who AFK when they have a bad game too, if a killer isn't chasing up until the moment the match finishes then they shouldn't have queued at all.
-
Only if I know exactly where the last survivor is, like they run infront of me before i down or they fail a check or whatever, 4Ks are so overrated and the game is a huge boring mess if 4Ks are all you care about, I still mostly 4K because killer isn't at all hard anymore but i often let survivors escape and what not because I don't need to kill everyone to boost my ego.

You can prevent a 3-gen by keep track of what generators are completed.
If the killer is aggressively defending a 3-gen, you should have 4 survivors remaining to overwhelm the killer's 3-gen.
Just have a survivor at each generator, it won't take any longer than 7 minutes so you won't have to worry about the MGC.
People need to stop using the team excuse, not everyone plays on comms, you can' tell if someone is doing a generator on the other side of the map, it isn't always as easy as just saying "keep track of what generators".
and as for the "7 minutes is enough time", are you kidding? The killers constantly badger on about how fast matches are but now if they go for too long we just auto execute all the survivors who are against a killer rotating between gens?

There should be a fail-safe when survivors don't do their objective within a reasonable amount of time.
Midgame Collapse
Activates when a generator hasn't been completed within the last 5 minutes.
Remaining survivors have 2:00 to complete a generator or the Entity will choose a survivor with the lowest total emblem score to be sacrificed. The timer will reset until the last survivor is sacrificed or a generator is completed.
The Midgame deactivates when a generator is completed.
Doesn't work, there are 3-gen cases which happen WAY more often than this situation where you have to slowly chip away at a gen to get it done, this just makes that 3-gen situation impossible for survivors to even attempt.

Thank you, and yes I agree with you.
It's not holding the game hostage, survivors still get their points and all leave. If they don't pip, it's because they didn't cleanse totems.
Cleanse totems, remember if a killer is AFK to blow up generators when you're with someone because it resets the "Coop" points and you can literally fill your Objective to the max on 1 Generator.
ahhh yes, the age old trick of everyone pipping because they did one totem each, and also extending an incredibly boring match by popping skill checks, sounds enthralling, if you have to go for extended periods of time you should dc if you genuinely have to leave for a spill etc, even if you can't see in a map you can still go around applying pressure and kicking gens so the survivors have something else to do.
-
It's in the unsportsmanlike conduct section, only an issue if you're doing it constantly, though.
-
I don't think so, as when buying the characters from the online store, the "unlock code" is tied to your account, where as if you buy it in game the "unlock code" is attached to your save file, which is not accessed by other players.
-
Slugging helps in every match, all the time, where as doing bones wont always help, they're pretty far apart from one another imo.

So tell me a single reason killer should be punished for tunelling. they just doing their objectif of killing survivor are quickly as possible.
Meanwhile survivors don't get punished for gen rushing, but I guess it fine since it survivor right?
and before your bring out the NoED excuse.
DS can be used by all 4 survivor and that mean if the killer try to tunnel he have to waste one minute for each, so 4 minute at all, there no way to go around it, you waste a min per ds or the survivor get a free escape for free. If the killer decide to slug, he will have to lose any kind of pressure he have in chasing and protecting gens for a whole minute
Not only noed can be ignored you are 4 who need to spend a total of 14 sec per totems trought the game. that mean it take, at worst 1 min and 10 second provided you got no speed boost. a survivor need to spend 14 second on a totem so the team lose 1/4 of their pressure for that time.
So let me ask this, Why is it okay for killer to be punished for slugging, but survivor being punished for gen rushing is out of the question?
Not only DS waste a whole minute for the killer, where he lose any kind of gen and chase pressure, you also get 4 of them. and it activate automaticly when you get off hook.
But I guess NoeD is op cause the killer get a weaker DS that only activate when survivor decide so (your the one doing the gens) and it only take 1/4 of your map pressure for 15 seconds.
I'm barely reading your comments because it's incoherent rambling, but the survivors give up slots in their inventory for one time use perks (besides BT), and if you're there and having an issue with BT you know what else is there? A second survivor for you to chase, they're perks that are supposed to change the way people play the game, it's your choice to tunnel so suffer the effects of a perk that may or may not be in play.
