I know, they should ban me.
It's not like the other day where I was having a discussion about killer hexes and Tsulan comes in talking about DS and how spoopy it is for him, yea I'm the only person that derails threads.

@SenzuDuck A fair point I'll admit. I do wish communication wouldn't ruin my Bloodwarden sometimes though. Then again I did make a build that was designed to confuse the opponents. Big terror radius Wraith with the Beast add on. When they hear the heartbeat I notice them all looking around for me. Quite funny to watch. Sometimes they'd run into me and panic. Even SWF groups were getting confused by it. So that's what I'll usually run against them now.and this is another dev issue that needs fixed, hide the end game perks it's pretty simple, hopefully the devs will fix it soon.

i solo at rank1. you should try it sometime, for giggles :) Wow, you solo at rank one? What a great achievement, it means absolutely nothing! playing at rank1 certainly takes more skill than you have ever displayed.
its hilarious when players who cant compete at rank1 claim that rank means nothing.
Lets face it, everyone who remotely plays the game sometime regularly can reach rank 1.
I reached rank 1 during my first month of climbing as survivor, am I proud of that? No, didnt feel like an accomplishment tbh and I even piped when I did horrible

exactly. its not hard at all if you are decent at the game, which is why its so funny to me when people like senzu cant hit rank1 even with swf, but have the balls to say its meaningless.
theres much different levels of competition at rank1 than rank20.
There's absolutely no difference between rank 1 and rank 20 considering every one is an SWF monster queueing to play with low ranked killers such as myself. Remember, every match is a 4man squad of high ranked players queued with low ranked survivors.

@SenzuDuck I'll admit I used to dodge SWF but after a bit I just thought I'm wasting everyone's time with this and just starting playing. Even if I lose I still get points. Points are all that matters really.
Playing against SWF make you better, imo. A lot of people don't understand that because they've already left the lobby.
ive never seen you at rank1-5 on either side. when will you get there with your swf?

I play killer with my other killers friends btw.
Again, rank 4 - it's almost as if I could get to rank one if I played a little more, but this is horror month so I'm playing other games, I only stream this game.
and sorry I'm a competent content creator Lowbei, I'm sorry if playing with people on the internet offends you so much.
Its ok if you want to play the game casually, noone will blame you for that.

I don't look at ranks, honestly.
And this is my issue, just because it forces us against lower ranked killers does not mean that I accept that, I'm perfectly happy for the devs to make it so SWF pits you against rank 1-5 killers. I really don't care.
But everyone jumps on like "urh muhr gurd swf" right, and I wish it wasn't that way but I also realise that without SWF I'm sure this game would be dead, so change match making to force high ranked killers.
Translation :
”I realize that grouping with low rank survivors lets me play against noob killers, will continue to do so, and blame the devs for allowing me to do this.”Yes - because it's my fault that people from all ranks want to play with me, lets just start excluding people. the moment I tuned in, one of her SWF complained that billy - one of the strongest killers - got buffed hitbox chainsaws now and that he got downed because of that. A minute later when the gates have been powered, he says that he goes down intentional now to make the game "spicier" .
Thanks to DS the billy didnt even get a single kill.
A classic example
https://clips.twitch.tv/UninterestedSleepyWaterOSsloth
Some killer hitboxes are absolutely wild at times (I didn't lag this match at all).
But again, survivors have weird pallet hitboxes, theres been times as a killer and survivor where I know I shouldn't have hit the killer with a pallet and times where I've been stunned and I'm a foot away from the pallet, hit boxes are janked af.
DS is getting nerfed at midchapter patch thankfully.

Well obviously, someone who hits rank one and deranks is bound to be "fine" at lower levels, just sad you can't compete at rank one so force lower levelled players to vs you.
Since devs support the idea of deranking even via DCing, I am fine to derank by giving survivor free wins in afk games.
I just dont like to compete in an unbalanced game, thats all. If I press ready, I want to have at least the possibility to do well. Can we go back to the thread pls

I think what you will actually find is that the cosmetics make the killers look more scary.
This extra 'scare' factor causes survivors to make more mistakes and you will find that with the right costumes all killers become viable at rank 1.Survivors don't even get scared of NOED, so let alone a piece of clothing
People aren't scared of anything after 50 - 100 hours. If you play enough of it you get numb to it. Survivors definitely hate NOED so it's in a good place, despite being a totem perk, once they make actual totems more stealthier then it'll be even better.

Good god, READ THE THREAD.
The comment that you quoted me in which started our conversation was a reply I MADE TO SOMEONE about the buff they wanted, which was to spawn the NOED totem at the end of the match even if all totems had been cleansed
Jesus, you’re so biased you completely ignored the first part of the conversation, saw a comment I made and instantly jumped on it, you’re absolutely embarrassing. -

Lets break down this mess shall we;
I´m not sure if you fail to see the irony, when you call me biased. BUT i´m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt.
Well, here I am, saying totems need changes, and here you are, saying
"buff buff buff buff buff buff buff"
"Why should NOED have a counter"Why shouldn't NOED have a counter, if the survs have done all gens and all totems why should the map crap out a free totem and let NOED spawn anyway.
Once again, no risk (in this scenario) you seem to have an issue understanding risk + reward.
NOED is a perkslot that´s useless for the whole match and only gets effective at the endgame.
Yes, and it's useful at end game when - majority of pallets are broken, people have been hooked, there's only two places survivors can go, and they're both timed gates.
Would survivors take SC if it had only 1 heal or when it would only work after all gens have been powered?
This is becoming a habit, talking about hexes and suddenly it's about survivor perks? Get real.
Would they take DS if it would only work after the gates have been powered? Be honest. Would YOU equip them?
Well, DS is getting nerfed, and I never run it anyway so not really sure what point you're making here? Again, back to talking about survivor perks which are a completely separate conversation.
I think you fail to understand a single thing; I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH NOED. However, the comment I was replying to wants NOED to spawn regardless, so even if all totems are cleansed he wants it to spawn anyway, LOL.

Why should it have a counter? There are no counters for survivor perks either.
Killer should be in the power role, not the survivors. Also, the match isn´t over until you see the point screen.Survivors taking time to cleanse totems is time spent not on generators. Hex Perks are supposed to have very powerful effects that can be disabled (which the whole point of this thread is that it's too easy to disable them). Only a few perks affect the cleansing speed for totems: Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, Leader, Prove Thyself, and Resilience. If they simply increased the time it takes to cleanse it, it will give TOTH the biggest buff, because it will in turn make cleansing them even longer.
Exactly. Hex Perks are SUPPOSED to have very powerful effects. But the don´t. They are simply not powerful enough to justify them being a hex perk.
Survivors rarely cleanse dull totems. That´s why most survivors think NOED is OP, since they didn´t take the time to search for those totems.
Nobody is saying NOED is OP in this thread.

I've seen normal NOED turn a 0K match into a 4K match. It absolutely should have a counter, it shouldn't be a "lets randomly spawn a totem in the map once all the generators are done" sounds absurd.
Why should it have a counter? There are no counters for survivor perks either.
Killer should be in the power role, not the survivors. Also, the match isn´t over until you see the point screen.Oh dear - every time you hook a survivor their perks aren't being used, every time you kill a survivor their perks are out of the game.
Literally the killers in this thread - "Why shouldn't I get free kills at the end of the game after the survivors have completed their objective".
It's a perk that instantly downs survivors at end game, after they've finished their objective, you shouldn't able to freely get a 4K at end game because a magical totem spawns out in the map, it's the same argument for DS, the killer has done the work, why should they be given a free get off the shoulder for free card, they shouldn't have it.
Simple.
What free killer? What are you talking about? Do all survivors suddenly fall to the ground once NOED activates? The killer still has to find, chase, hit and hook them. NOED only halfes the amount of hits the killer requires to down them. Nothing more.
If there are 4 survivors left, when the gates are powered, then it means 1 of 3 things:- the killer is terrible (in that case, the survivors shouldn´t have a problem)
- the survivors gen rushed (in this case they finally get some action, instead of boring "hold m1 untill you fall asleep")
- the killer prepared for the endgame and has a specific build (killer sacrificed perk slots, so he could be efficient at the endgame. Survivors had a chance to gain BPs during the rest of the match, they shouldn´t be salty for not getting the last 5000 points)
Do you read anything past the first couple of comments? He's literally talking about a RANDOM totem spawning AFTER the gens are done, so despite all totems being cleansed, NOED still activates.
This is absurd, the killer KNOWS he will get NOED regardless of what the survivors have done and simply needs to camp gates, as this totem spawns AFTER the gens are done this would require survivor to find out he has it, therefore he has his first down.
Like, i don't understand, you're clearly incredibly biased, I'm trying to have a discussion about buffing totems but all you can think about is how fun it would be to have an unavoidable noed spawn, utterly ridiculous.

I think it would be a great idea if the totem effect would spread evenly among all totems, meaning if all 6 totems are up the effect is most powerful and with each destroyed totem the effect lessens.
Ruin could slow down the repairing progress by 60% and have the ruin skill checks on.
As soon as a totem is destroyed it accelerates the repairing speed by 10% and stops the ruin skill checks.
In this case dull totems need the exact same amount of time to be cleansed as Hex totems.I don't know if this is better than the current Hex: Ruin but the perk was made to slow down the game and if it is found within the first few seconds it has absolutely no effect and on the other hand searching for the totem is just a dull labor nobody enjoys especially when it's hidden really well.
Theres only 5 totems, but this would essentially render NOED useless as survivors would cleanse all totems upon finding out that ruin was active (in this scenario) also, having multiple totems like huntress etc they'd all lost their power gradually at the same time as the totems being cleansed.
Just make a special totem spawn for NOED at the end in case all totems got destroyed earlier^^
So there's no counter to NOED anymore?

Survivors can effectively eliminate a killers perk. That SHOULD be hard. Killers can't just eliminate a survivor perk.
No, they can't - you are correct, they can however kill that survivor and stop them playing.
That's why it's Risk + Reward, like I've said - they need changing, I'm not disputing that.
Hex perks are supposed to be high risk, high reward. But most of them are high risk, low reward.
Due to the speed that they're found, make them stealthier, make them all look the same even if they're hexed/dull, make them shorter, make them grey.
My proposal was always to turn hex perks into normal perks. Since they are not powerful enough to justify being hex perks.
I really don't mind this but again, risk + reward, if you get something out of the risk, it's still being rewarded.
But it doesn't look like the devs want to reverse a bad mechanic.
They are clearly working on things one by one, you can still win a match with bad totem placements, it's not too bad.
If we are going to keep the hex perks, make them more powerful and punish the survivor with a debuff. Maybe let him lose a random perk too.
Again, this defeats the whole "risk + reward" system, it's rewarding the risk.
-

This was their hint, a cup with "Adam" written on it, lol.
-
Not all survivors take in items, which means if that happens - you'd have to drudge through ruin the entire match because you can't cleanse it, also killers would just run NOED if they see people ready up withot the required item knowing that RNG is the only way to cleanse it - this is a bad idea.
As for the "doubling" cleanse time - I don't mine them being a little longer, however double the time + TOTH would make cleansing a totem absolutely impossible, and with something like Devour Hope + Ruin it would be impossible to do.
Totems need changing, but these changes seem incredibly strong for perks that are supposed to be risk & reward. It makes it almost all reward with the right build.
-
God no - it's bad enough having Killers dc because theres something in the lobby they don't like, let alone having pleb survivors dcing until they get anything less than rank one.
-
Hexes will be changed - I'm sure.
I'm just worried about the people that say "Don't spawn near gens or people" if you exclude too many places, that leaves not many places to look for where the totems will be.
I like the idea that they're all "blank" so you don't know which on, they should also be shorter too, so when they are in grass they're stealthier.

I've had some weird rankings too, usually end up getting 2 purples a red and a green rank, very weird. While you yourself are at rank number...
4 or 5 I can't remember currently at work.

When did I do that?
When you jumped on this guys comment and was like "yea dude totally same dude bro".

I really like them both, the ability is unique and it's always fun when you whoosh around and accidentally bump into an invisible survivor.
Adam is cool, disliked his original outfit but think the full denim is really sweet, also incredibly disappointed with his "alternate" outfit.
I miss the days before the cosmetic shop where alternate costumes were completely different clothig and not a minor recolour.
Edit : I love the person who follows all my comments around and adds a "lol" to it

More arguing about things that were never said. Lol You've become your own meme. I specifically put the blame for Huntress and autodidact on the devs. It's almost like when someone accuses you of "lying and being drunk on the forum and trolling" and everyone jumps on the bandwagon to later find out that person actually mistook you for someone else.

It'll get fixed soon i'm sure.
apparently the devour hope thing is still broken too despite being "fixed" we shall see. -

My comments were made specifically to the comments directly above them about ge balancing. Then you stagger in going HIT BOXES HUR HUR HUR and sobbing about how everyone picks on you. I used the Huntress and autodidact as examples not as a talking point Everything you've done is random. And I keep getting sucked in. Seriously I'm done. Once again ######### is derailed Good jobtalks about huntress hitboxes
has someone reply about hitboxes
explains that talking about something doesnt mean they want to talk about itOk big boy, nice.
How about you tag/quote the thing you want to talk about instead of splurging a load of nonsense and then complain when people try to discuss things you talk about.
again - lets blame survivors for the huntress hit box change. Devs did that all by them selves and quickly rectified it because people don't want to relearn her.

but hey, ######### me for trying to continue a conversation with you about what you clearly wanted to talk about.

You haven't given an opposing opinion. You're just arguing, quibbling over semantics with nerf or balance. You are just trying to pick fights, as usual, and once again I'm done with youSaying that stun hit boxes and killer hit boxes both need adjusting so each side doesn't get unnecessarily hit? Oh yea dude, look at my bias. You completely ignore that fact im arguing for changes on both side and say im biased. That, is actually what bias is.

The hit box was big, they made it small. That's a nerf. Once again you're arguing to hear your own voice. I never said her hit box didn't require a nerf, I said the nerf they went with was too great. I don't even know why I'm replying to you, once again you're just proving you don't care about what is actually posted and just want to derail a thread with pointless garbage. Good job, success once again. It was a killer main that derailed this thread, this is a thread about the spirit getting buffed, but of course, killer mains have to come in here moaning about other stuff like the "huntress" nerf that not a single survivor or killer asked for, but might as well blame survivors for it.
Hit boxes are crap all around the board on both sides, which I've clearly argued for both sides but I'm "biased" despite giving reasons why both hit boxes need changing. I directly talk about her "nerf" (more accurate hitboxes) yet me talking about the huntress is me derailing the thread that actually had nothing to do wih her anyway?
Majority of killers are absolutely clueless on this forum because they see my name, ignore the text I put and reply something like
"OH MUR GURD BIASED SURVIVOR MAIYN".
When i argue for things for both sides, equally. It's just theres more moaning killer thread on this forum than anything else, so of course you see me telling killers to get better more often.
Giche, literally made up stuff about me because he had me mistaken for someone else and you all jumped on board with his comments, despite them being not true, thats the real bias, can't handle an opposing opinion.

The Devs need to nerf/buff based on what is best for the game, not what any particular group cries loudest about. And, don't get it twisted, the loudest group is survivors. The devs have never bent over backward to do anything for killers.I think before other survivor perks get buffed the holy trinity need to be balanced so that survivors stop comparing every perk to them. Right now if a perk doesn't compare to SC/DS/SB then it's trash and the devs don't care about survivors(despite all evidence to the contrary). The problem is they live in quaking fear of survivors who have shown that if you dare threaten them with any sort of a nerf they'll attack your game directly through review bombs(it was, what, 500 negative reviews a day for 4 or 5 days earlier this summer?)
The other problem is that I don't trust the Devs to balance anything. They made two significant nerfs this last patch; one to the Huntress and one to Autodidact. Both of them were over the top rendering both unplayable. Why did they have to hit both so hard? At least they've rolled back the Huntress nerf. Here's hoping they get their act together for autodidact, which could be an amazing perk if they remove any negative healing attached to it.
Anyway, regardless the devs need to nut up and do what's best for the game. And maybe hire an outside company to let them know what would be best for the game.
I like how you refer to it as "a huntress nerf" no, it tightened up her hitboxes, which i a change you're supposed to get used too. Now I'm back to hitting survivors around corners with the hatchets.
There's so many messed up hit boxes in this game and that is where i think they should start. Some killers get stunned in some places where others do not, it should be consistent, they should either all get stunned at this one spot, or none of them should.
Same goes for messed up hit boxes on survivors, some get hit some don't get hit, it should be consistent.
Too many players think they're good because they pallet stun that shouldn't or that they've damaged a survivor from a meter away around a corner.
