This is a terrible idea. For one thing, the one shot mechanic already exists in the form of interrupts. There is no need or justification for this "terrorshock" idea.

got to make it easier for the bad killers to win fasert.

Yeah keep calling the rank1 killer bad, makes you look legit.

Any survivor with a brain can kite you for at least 1 minute if it's the beginning of the game and pallets are still there if you don't play killers that can circumvent loops. Done it myself

Lol, rank one is easy to get to on both sides. I don't get why people think it's a measure of anything. Literally play the game for more than 20 hours on each side and you're guaranteed rank one.

Jesus christ - theres a reason there are perks to counter things.

All these killers that think they shouldn't "need" to run certain perks because they think killers should be able to counter everything a survivor does in the base kit is ridiculous, get better at the game and stop whining ffs

I'm rank1 as a spirit/freddy main, I literally cannot get better, there's just tons of spots where as a killer you can't do anything, if you played killer then you'd know. esp maps like coldwind that are unmindgameable unless the survivor is completely sleeping are infamous for their loops. imo all those T-jungle-gyms should be completely walled off so the survivor has to guess where the killer is coming or abandon the loop.

Also no, we shouldn't have to run perks to counter what survivors do, perks should be optional and not a neccessity for certain things like stopping loops.

Yea man, im higher rank on my killer than surv but god no i dont play killer at all.

The ds drop must be fixed as well

Yep and in the Mid Patch will be fixed i think : )

Well - they’re not really fixing it, they’re changing the perk entirely. Another nerf for survivors.

    Gen tapping isn't a glitch, it's intentional.

    Please, cry somewhere else.

If you come that way, do not comment, I'm giving my reason. Okay?

Your reason is you want killers to be exploitable because a perk is avoidable, good fight mate, nice bias.

  • Gen tapping isn't a glitch, it's intentional.

    Please, cry somewhere else.

The bias is showing with everyone that is comparing a game breaking bug like giving clown insane speed to tapping a gen which doesn't exactly auto complete it.

Self-Care isn't even that much of a big deal, lol.

Self-Care is overpowered to the point that it's nearly mandatory as a solo survivor. Not only does it give you a large number of second chances, allow for hook diving against campers, and allow for more risky behavior, but it also directly counters one killer (Freddy), and directly counters a plethora of status effects.

It doesn't simply needs to be nerfed, it needs to be cratered and rebuilt.

Maybe don't lose injured survivors during chases?

They've already stated they plan to make Self-Care skill checks no affect Freddy.

Killers camping is THEIR choice, if they want to camp and have people heal and save, that's a KILLER issue not a PERK issue.

Self-Care is mandatory for solo survivors because people just simply don't care to heal others, you killers sure hate SWF but try and make in mandatory by nerfing literally every reason to even play solo. How about you learn to play the game and quit crying about everything you don't like.

I would only be livid if they did that before Dstrike nerf and gen tapping fix

There wont be a gen tapping fix as it's intentional.

How about, instead of adding "Terror Shock" specifically we just enable grabs regardless of whether or not survivors are injured?

You see, with "Terror Shock" killers could just lunge to get one hit downs which when coupled with peer to peer lag is just awful. Meanwhile letting killers punish people who get too close is fine with me as a grab requires timing and finesse.

I hope you can see my perspective. By the way, Freddy, if you're so hungry for instant-downs might I suggest No One Escapes Death, Make Your Choice, or Devour Hope?

You can already grab off of hooks, gens, windows and pallets though, are you saying just straight up snatch them up ? If so then that’s a terrible idea, not trying to knock on you or anything,  but what would be the point of even having a hit button if when you got close enough you could grab everytime? That’s my only argument to that

You can't grab an uninjured survivor from windows and pallets though. I agree with him, it should universally be implemented that way. This could be the buff Leatherface needs, since he can drop his chainsaw instantly

According to the new bann rules, usage of discord/ts is actually bannable even though if the devs have no tools to detect it.

Wait, what? Where can I see the source? I have fun SWF using discord. Yet I don't understand why that is considered cheating uh

I mean, the whole game changes completely if they implement a voice chat in game and I wouldn't enjoy listening babies raging or trolling. I had enough after 2 years in Overwatch,  thanks. But it's true I like to have fun in a calling with my friends while playing the game. Callouts are important but we are most of the time joking and laughing or just swearing while the killer is chasing us because we are new and bad lol

In the new report system we dont have a BHVR-whitelist anymore, the only whitelist we have now is the EAC one and it doesnt list discord/ts and that stuff.

I asked the support and they confirmed:

I specifically asked again regarding voice comms mlga etc and got this answer:

Not being on the whitelist is not the same as being on a blacklist. Claiming otherwise is misinformation at best and fear-mongering disinformation otherwise.

The whitelist is just an exception list, if the programs on there do something that might seem like a cheat then EAC won't just pounce on them and ban for it, as it's how they work and EAC decided it's not cheating. All it means that something isn't on the whitelist is that if the program in question does something EAC reacts to, it will actually act on it.

What's on the list? Mostly streaming/recording software, some manufacturer software, a single entry for post-processing software as far as I know (reshade / sweetFX) as well as Curse Voice.
Everything up to Curse Voice makes sense, as it's not unheard of to see stuff like that cause false positives with anti-cheats. Streaming and recording depends on method but it can seem like a cheat with the way they might "hook" onto a running process, and manufacturer software lets users change how the game looks or set up keyboard and mouse macros.

Curse Voice? It's not your average voice chat program, it has a function where within supported games it can automate the creation of temporary voice chat rooms. Get in a lobby in League of Legends and all your teammates have the program? Bam, the program automatically puts you all into a voice chat with no input from the users.
If a program that could turn every single game of DBD into a 4man SWF on comms if everyone downloaded it today is explicitly whitelisted (I have no idea if the automation function even works for DBD to be fair), that pretty much confirms that using third party programs to communicate is not cheating in the eyes of EAC.

You might ask why stuff like Discord, Skype, Teamspeak or anything else isn't on there? Because there's NO REASON for them to be there. They do not interact with the game in a way that could cause false positives, not to mention that using voice chat in multiplayer games is so accepted and expected nowadays that it'd just be redundant.

EDIT: Manufacturer software doesn't even inherently let people change how the game looks, but it can let them do stuff like monitor performance or force graphical settings that the options menu might not offer like alternative antialiasing methods and the like. SweetFX / reshade does let you change how it looks though.

There has never been a blacklist, even in the old system.

I challenge you to provide this actual "blacklist" you are talking about instead of spreading misinfformation

Theoretically you can get banned for usage of a non-allowed program even if EAC cant detect it. For example, if a streamer admits that he uses MLGA which cant be detected by EAC, thenm the devs can bann this guy.

Funny fact, but in the old system, voicecomms were actually included in the whitelist.

I bet you love making things up "voice comms were actually included in the whitelist". The whitelist has only every been changed when they removed MLGA, stop talking so much tosh.

So you cant provide this blacklist you are talking about.

    Why am I not surpised

Nowhere in this entire quote chain did anyone actually imply there is an actual blacklist.

Not being on the whitelist is not the same as being on a blacklist

Is this the line that you view as me saying there is a blacklist? Because it doesn't imply that at all. It's just saying that something being absent from the WHITELIST is not the same as there BEING a blacklist and the program in question being on it.

Of course there isn't actually a blacklist anyone can provide or reference, that would defeat the entire point of using a whitelist system in the first place.

So there doesnt exist an actual blacklist?
Yes this is exactly what im talking about, there only is a whitelist.

Do I need to put up the email from the support again?

ANY program NOT on the EAC-whitelist is considered "use at own risk".

If I understood the support wrong and there is an actual blacklist that lists the bannable programs, then please provide it. I am just a human, maybe I did a mistake, please correct me if that is the case and show me that blacklist thingy

You mentioned MLGA, Overlay Programs & Voicecomms in the same question, so they gave the generic "Use at your own risk" answer, it does not relate to voice comms at all, my god you people are so bad at this game you'll go to any lengths to have voice comms labelled as cheating or a violation of EULA, it's so pathetic.

The whitelist is there for programs that are common but hook into the Game, which is why they're white listed as being allowed BECAUSE THEY HOOK INTO THE GAME, what aren't you getting about that.

Its so emberassing and shows how little you understand about the game if you show us 4k match results with spirit. It's not hard to get a 4k. You can get it with a perkless Freddy eventually. It doesn't say anything about the spirit's balance because survviors can just be bad. Your screenshots are not "proof" at all. Your spirit is level 36 as well, so you don't have much experience with her either.

Sure, I 4k'ed a lot of times when she came out but now that survivors learn to counter her she is garbage. And I'd put her above Wraith and under Clown. So bottom mid tier. And, unlike you, I played her for 25 hours and P3'd her with all perks already with playing her exclusively at rank 1.

Now she is at lvl 50 xd
For me she's not really that bad

Play her more and you'll see if you face good survivors.

Maybe it's not the survivors that are bad but just you? Why is it that he can post pictures of him doing well but it's the survivors that are bad, not him being good?

This is actually hilarious, when ever someone says something people don't like it couldn't possibly be skill, it's just the survivors are bad, lmfao. No killer will satisfy "hardcore" killer mains that think they're good because they reach rank 1.

It also looks as if at least one of those matches is a 4-man swf, you know the super unbeatable squads that you killer mains always talk about, ruining yer' game and spoilin' all the fun yarrrrrrrrrrr

  • To be honest, what have killers had recently.

    Map Changes
    Pallets Removed
Hooks More Spaced Out + Hooks Around The Basement
    Vault + Break Speed Increases

and not a single change to bloodlust, it was about time, really.

Last news, they will remove the free escape but keep the stun duration. It will turn DS as a tactical perk to ease pallet/flashlight saves (and I like it more!)

It has to change for sure. What I don't like about this solution is that it makes the perk pretty useless unless you're in a coordinated team where it can be great. I play mostly solo, so I'll keep not using it. :'(

Honestly if the stun stays and you can still wiggle it'll be pretty useful if you're close to the hook and also close to wiggling free, stun the killer get more time, run away.

however this only works if they let you chose when to activate, we shall see though.

It's a multiplayer game with a party queue option, it's expected that voice chat will be used. How would they even "ban" voice comms? Detect if you're running programs that enable it and tell you to close them before it lets you play? Ban people for doing plays that made it seem like they were enabled by comms even if it's inherently impossible to prove 100% unless they streamed it for proof?

The ways to stop it range from what is basically unforgivably invasive to a modern audience to a hellscape of undeserved bans. Breaking up queues into solo queue/mixed queue or whatever is something I'm honestly not sure if the game's playercount could support either, especially in less populated regions.

Honestly if you're that bothered by SWF just dodge, as that's something that actually has even the slighest chance of doing something unlike telling the developers of a multiplayer game with a party queue option to prevent people from talking to the people they play with.

The easy-anti cheat page for DBD specifically whitelists "Curse Voice" as a third party application you can use.
    https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/dbd/guides/whitelist/

But again, obviously voice comms is cheating yet they've whitelisted this one, maybe you can only use sign language with Curse Voice therefore it is accepted?

A minor thing that may help is to make yourself the last one to ready up. A lot of SWF will pull a fast one and do something like all carry toolboxes and then ready so you cant tweak your build ect. If you are the last to ready you decide when it starts. Or neither of you do it and you lose anyway because there's a timer. But meh.

I gave up lobby dodging in red ranks. The queue takes too long and I only dodged 3 flashlights once because I played hag.
Usually quick switchers are just toxic idiots that follow you anyway and are far less from playing optimal. I can deal with these shitheads, but when the survivors pop gens in a few minutes, theres nothing I can do> @Well_Placed_HexTotem said:

The core of the game is still designed perfectly fine for high rank, what ruins it is SWF. Survivors are supposed to have 16 perks as a team, SWF gives you access to the effects many perks give you simply by being able to communicate with each other. You basically get free Bond, etc. One survivor sees your hex totem, you chase them off and engage, it’s guaranteed to be cleansed shortly after. And if you build end game strategies like Blood Warden or NOED, welp, too bad.

A majority of the ranks are fine because SWF is less of an issue.

SWF is a big part of the issue, but as marth prooved, the game is broken without voice comms too

Whats the difference then between four good Survivors with or without voice, I don't get it.

People play SWF at every Rank, not just R1.

Just another thing for killers to blame besides their lack of skill. They seem to forget all the matches they won to get to rank one but disregard losses as "mechanics being bad or SWF".

Watch some games of the depip squad series

Bore off with the depip squad. Marth left DBD so he could go and play Deathgarden the "balanced" game, dude got 100+ wins a row and thinks that's balanced.

People play solo and ruin killers days, people play swf and ruin killers days.

Not one team plays the same he does (entire team same perks, all constantly blocking every hook).

Stop pretending every match you play is equivalent to the "depip squad". As someone who plays killer I've never played two matches in a row that are absolute cancer. People play to have fun and win, he set up an entire system to intentionally try and make killers have a bad time, most people don't do that.

It was only yesterday when I faced a similar team, but yeah it never happens in the real game

I never said it never happens, but omg, you had ONE game like that yesterday? I tend to find most people inflate their problems to perpetuate their side.

Every game the de-pip squad had was a 4-man swf. If we look at it from the killers side it was probably one bad match out of hundreds.

But yes, you had a bad match yesterday, lets pretend every match before and after that one was a toxic four man match shall we? that'll make you feel better.

Shhhh, they're comparing cheats to Discord, I wanna see how this goes.

  • Except Blizzard classes these third party party programs as cheats, hacks or bots. So not at all similar with BHVRs stance on Discord. Nice try, looks like you'll just have to play better against those 2 man swf teams that absolutely dominate you.

  • Because the art team is incredibly unlikely to also be coding the game?

    Art Team =/= Development Team

    They're independant, just wait.

The answer is above, it's use at your own risk.

Regarding struggle/wiggles being just "hold this button" rather than mashing, that has also been asked on multiple dev streams in the past.

and it should happen, tbh. the left side of my space bar is absolutely knackered since I started playing this game.

Or neither of you do it and you lose anyway because there's a timer. But meh.

I gave up lobby dodging in red ranks. The queue takes too long and I only dodged 3 flashlights once because I played hag.

In all my history in dbd as a killer has showed me that most of the survivors try to hide instead of running towards you, and even pro death squads have at most 2 good loopers who try to taunt the killer while the others do the gens.
Being reckless as a survivor can lead into a death BUT can also lead into a win sometimes. That and the fact that some survivors rather try to save their teammates even if they die than escaping doesn't mean there are many safety nets, if there were, it would usually end up in a win, and it's quite the opposite.

In all my history in DbD playing both sides, 9 times out of 10 I'm followed to the hook, and they often unhook before I've had enough time to leave the area (or if I was the one hooked, before the Killer has had a chance to leave), then accuse me (or the Killer) of camping.

There are enough safety nets that they feel confident in being near the guy who's supposed to crush them 1v1. Just because they die afterward doesn't mean there isn't a problem. You need to look beyond success rates and think about the things people do and why they do those things.

Well yea - rank 17 survivors are still learning the game, what do you expect?

That's why the devs need to make Killers absolutely devastating. If they force Survivors to play better by punishing bad plays, then we won't have such wins handed to us.

Or killers could just play better and stop whining. It's so funny to me how it's "Survivors should play better" when in reality it's usually just poor killers that aren't that good and blame mechanics instead of themselves.

It needs a straight buff if anything, not a "you do gens slower" nerf.

Survivors dislike being slugged, but at the same time you want to buff sabotage.

Do you see a problem in this approach?

Survivors dislike anything that killers do because it prevents them from doing their objective, what's your point?

HybridPanda is the most nontoxic streamer of the Fog Whisperer bunch, IMO. He has a good attitude about the game and takes his losses gracefully. I think I’ve only seen him DC 3-4 times since I started watching him a year ago. And it’s usually because someone is lag switching or cheating and he wants no part of that.

    Agreed, and he's a cutie.

  • Half the vocal killer mains on this forum have admitted to intentionally deranking so they can have it easy, it's not just a streamer thing, and we should stop looking solely at streamers and instead look at the entire community the constantly derank and disconnect shouldn't be happening at all, you get to a rank, you play at that rank.

One of the excuses someone gave on here (someone who is constantly talking in anti-SWF chats and killer buff conversations) is that theres a new killer coming out and there is no way they're going to play against rank 1 with a new killer. Well, rank reset happened before she released so it was obvious this killer main just wanted to derank because they're having a hard time at rank one and just aren't very good.

Aren't you the guy who tried to judge my entire playstyle from one single trial? Maybe you should gather more data, or STFU. Either works.

You self incriminate by saying you've figured the timing out already, that's a lot of practice camping buddy.

I haven't had any problems with the i-frames after getting the timing right. Why are you lying?

So you admit you're still camping despite saying I judged you on one game? Lol, forever bad at gaming, poor Orion, lets all hold his hand. <3

I've had it happen twice that I can remember, so yes, I did think it was just a matter of latency. Excuse me if I'm not omniscient as you clearly believe yourself to be.

Obviously such an astute killer like yourself would ignore missed stuns and carry on with the game instead of thinking "oh, that should have totally stunned me".

Oohhh, this'll be fun - show me where I said they aren't broken.

By putting the blame on the Killer, you are implicitly saying that i-frames are fine. After all, it's the Killer's fault; not the i-frames'. Given that they're broken, one can only conclude that you support them being broken. Tons of people doing the same - putting all the blame on the Killer for "camping" or "tunneling" when the fact is, i-frames are broken.

oooh ooooh ohhh, even better - please show me where I put the blame on the killer, I would love to see where I said that.

How is this not putting the blame on the Killer? Or was it just trolling?

Supporting the idea that you should be protected when you can't control the character is fine.

If the iframes are too long, and it's a bug then it should be changed.

This is my chance, the invincibility frames are fine, but if they're lasting too long then it's a bug and unintentional behaviour so it should be fixed.

You saying that all survivors support this bug is the same as me saying all killers support the bug where they aren't being stunned in pallets. Both are bugs, both should be fixed.

but again - camping is gross and I never do it so the iframe thing would probably never ever affect me, I always go after the unhooker.

It's a bug? I thought it was just latency, maybe pallets were now client-side or something.

I'd prefer not to camp as well in the vast majority of situations, but Survivors just keep coming up to the hook asking me how I got to be so tall.

Prefer not to camp? Aren't you the guy that camped at rank 17 with a clown because you know, why not? You PREFER to camp, which is why you've had such an issue with this update.

and oh look "i thought it was just latency that's preventing pallet stuns in almost every match". I acknowledge that the Iframes are probably a bug, but something that helps killers was "just a latency" thing, lol.
