What do the numbers you post prove? That it takes 32 seconds for someone to heal and 16 seconds for someone to heal another?
16 seconds of someone healing another they can both then be on a gen together for 16 seconds = 32 seconds of a gen at a faster rate, I don't get what point you're trying to make loooool.
And we are at that point again. Math 101 failed. I'm done again.
Clearly not, you keep stating that if one person heals themselves they're off the gen for 1x32 seconds
If someone heals another person they're off the gen for for 2x16 = 32 seconds, but they also get to be on the gen for 2x16 seconds.
Again, you're completely missing the point, whether you lose someone, and they manage to lose you for THIRTY TWO SECONDS they deserve a heal.
Like, you're not finding that person again lmao.
I've never lost a match because of self care, you just need more excuses for not doing very well.
Self care, shake my head

all in all, I'd rather everyone be self caring instead of getting super quick 16 second heals. Imagine losing survivors so often you think self care is your issue.

So? Party streamers affect bloodpoints only, just like WGLF, except WGLF uses a perk slot and thus is way more detrimental to someone to use, if we compare it to a survivor cake, (which only one survivor can use) does that make the game more unbalanced, does that player have some kind of extra benefit in the match? No, it has nothing to do with balance.
BBQ is the easiest to use bloodpoint perk in the game, it comes with an added benefit & killers earn more points than survivors if they do well anyway, I guess we better nerf BBQ because all those bloodpoints are clearly impacting the game.
-
@ShrimpTwiggs said:
I think the difference on that front has to do with the fact that both sides can get BPS but the survivor version of a bloodpoint perk is inferior to the killer version. I wouldn't mind a bit of a buff to WGLF. It would help with the queue times during bloodhunt events.Except killers have the most used BP sided perk in the game, BBQ.
But no one here is going to argue to make it weaker -
@ShrimpTwiggs said:
Why do discussions on this forum always end up like this?
Because people get upset when you ask questions that invalidate their silly points.
"Bloodpoints cause unbalance."
So remove BPS because they only affect bloodpoints

Wow... the concept of "balance" seems to be to hard to grasp for some people.Of course bloodpoints affect ingame balance.
More BP = better stuff... better items/add ons/offerings.
Greedy people will farm stacks and queue times will skyrocket.
Survivor need less BPs anyway, that's why their BP gain perk should generate less. But like @Tsulan said, go on, buff it.
I like insta lobbies for killer, so I can dodge all day and cherrypick my lobbies.^^
But survivor will complain again and ask for more punishments for dodging killer and that the Devs should hide them at the campfire.
Maybe they get all that, like they usually do.^^I guess we should remove Bloody Party streamers then because they're clearly the cause of everyones woes, right? lmfao, miss me with this clutching at straws business.

WGLF Released 27th July
Complaint posts on 2nd, 5th & 6th of September
WGLF Nerfed on the 14th of Sept.I search "Long queues" in steam forums and see posts made every day about long queue times, but sure, it must be WGLF related because it happened in the same month.

Yea man, they saw 3 posts about lobbies being slow and decided "heck maybe it's that 200% more bloodpoints perk we added in a month ago.
You never prove anything, remember when you said you'd prove the developers lied about stats and then didn't provide any proof what so ever?
Yea, you have a track record of lying, and when you finally get something right maybe I'll reward you with that gold star you think you deserve.
Lets not pretend this game hasn't always had lobby issues as well, and pretend it's only down to perks

Just like when a new killer comes out people go and play that for a bit and go back, lets not pretend if this buff were to create lobby issues (hint: it wont) that it wouldn't be fixed after a couple of days when people go back to playing normally
Edit: https://steamcommunity.com/app/381210/discussions/search/?q=Queue+Time&sort=time
Woooow, it's almost as if people are always complaining about queue time, I guess they must have recently buffed WGLF or something.

I never had queue issues when they released it, I think you just make up problems.
"It's unbalanced" LOOOOOOOOOOL
Yea, buffing a bloodpoint only perk is unbalanced. You can't make this stuff up.

"Just watch all the farming"
but but but mr killers... i thought only swf people played the game? i..i...i thought only 4man tactical swf swat teams who only run meta perks play the game, farming would be kept to a minimum because only 4man swfs play tho.

Nothing mental behind this.Ehhh, while it's unsportsmanlike it isn't unbalanced, it just shows you don't actually know what balance/unbalance actually means tbh.
But please, go ahead and buff We gonna farm forever to it's old bonus.
I'll just relax and watch how people complain about getting farmed all the time.As opposed to all the complaining people do anyway? Regardless of if people run WGLF or not the person will farm for the points anyway

Again - implying ever SWF is 4man.This impacts solo players in that match too 🤦🏻♂️
that's why the actual best fix for SWF is to limit it to 2 people. While a 2 person team can do some really organized stuff, there is still an air of mystery to the game.
Unless the 2 rando's have kindred, they wont know what the others are doing when the rando's are hooked. THIS IS A MAJOR THING. On of the best game slowers is when more then 1 survivor goes for the unhook, and you don't have people gen rushing.
Knockout and Hex: Third Seal would be worth using. 3+ person groups make these killer perks useless.
I have no issue making it Duos only, but again, it takes away the fun for those that do like 3/4man.
HOWEVER, while I don't have an issue with any amount of SWF when I play killer if people want to moan about it thats up to them but I PERSONALLY don't struggle or don't finish a match and think "I only lost that because SWF". -

An easier fix to SWF is just making that the only thing you can gain when playing SWF is bloodpoints. No player XP, no shards, no seasonal event items, no rank points.Whoa, whoa, whoa....too much.
It's funny because that in no way "solves" the problem, it's just killers wanting to punish survivors despite killers being buffed every patch, it's getting boring now, all the incessant "buff this", "nerf that". How about they buff their skills as killer/survivor and play the game some more instead of spending every waking hour here.

YEA because most players don't need to think about whether turning killers invisible is good or bad for the game.
I play killer, I play survivor. I don't dodge lobbies and I don't do comms, what's my biggest complaint about this game? That half the players that voice their opinion are spending more hours on this than actually getting better at the game, which is what they need too, PRACTICE.

This would make it so your location is a mystery to all survivors until you strike.
Or just play wraith or freddy?
Now that you mention it, I don't believe invisibility will work.
If it did, Freddy wouldn't be so looked down on, and Wraith would be listed as powerful as Billy, or Nurse.Wraith even gets movement speed buffs.
I 4k almost every game I play with Wraith and Freddy. I'm Rank 1 with 1,019 hours.
if you 4k almost every game with not even the strongest killers in the game mind you then why would you suggest such a major buff? im confused

Would you rather survivors heal for 32 seconds or 16 seconds? Easy question you keep dodging.
Because I already answered it in length and you ignore it and keep calling me out for nothing.
But ok, just for peace sake:
If you GET healed, it takes 16 seconds and occupies TWO survivor.
If you heal YOURSELF it takes 32 seconds, but only occupies ONE survivor.
2x16 = 32 sec gain for the killer
or
1x32 = 32 sec gain for the killer
But using SC eliminates the need to spent time finding another survivor (and running around moaning and leaving a bloodtrail and risking to bring the killer to someoneelse, etc.) and the other survivor can just keep doing gens.
Me and several other in the forum tried to explain that to you in 3 different threads, but you still don't get it and keep repeating the meme that self care benefits the killer.2 Survivors self caring next to each other would take double the amount of time it would if they selfcared each other.
By this I mean that combined they're both off the generator until they're both healed.
If two people get off the generator to self care, that's two people off one generator. That means combined they're off the generator for 64 seconds. (if they weren't injured they would both be on the generator for a combined time for 64 seconds)
If they heal each other, it means they're each off the generator for 32 seconds combined, which means in the same time frame (64 seconds) they'd heal for 32 seconds and both be on the gen for 32 seconds.
In the same scenario where it is one person injured.
While one person can stay on the gen for 32 seconds while they self care, the other person does indeed get to SOLO a gen for 32 seconds, however, if they get off for 16 seconds to heal the other person 1. Someone is healed, and secondly they both get to be on a gen TOGETHER for 16 seconds, totaling 32 seconds + a heal.
In both scenarios, getting off the generator to help heal is far more beneficial for survivors and less beneficial for killers, I'd rather they self cared. and once again, if you keep losing injured survivors that's on the killer.
I'll just post this comment again because you know, you love your "two survivors self caring next to each other scenario"
And again, if you're losing survivors this often you're just a bad killer, there is no question about it, if your survivor is far enough away from you that you can't hear their moaning, see their blood, or hear their self caring sound it's unlikely you're going to find them again and it wont matter whether they heal themselves or get healed by someone else, you've already lost that time as a killer by losing them lol.
Also offers more of an opportunity for certain perks which would make it even easier for killer.
STOP LOSING INJURED SURVIVORS. If you lose them I'll reiterate, they will probably heal up before you see them again anyway.

Yea but from my standpoint I love playing as freddy, but I hate playing against him, it just isn't a fun mechanic, and I hope it is slightly changed for the benefit of survivors while still keeping it fun for both sides.
I actually like playing against him except I tend to get potatoes who literally can't see that they're in dream transition and get downed in 2 seconds. If he's chasing me, usually he gives up or spends the whole game and we win. There are those occasions where I'm the second person chased and the first person got hooked after using 50 pallets and I get screwed which is why I'd rather he just chase me from the start.
The bad thing about when I play Freddy is I seem to get those overly altruistic teams and I'm basically forced to tunnel as I'm not even like 10 feet away before they unhook.
I do have to say one of the better perks of using Freddy is they cannot body block which a lot of people ignore. And you can't get flashlighted as easily(or at all if they aren't in dream? Not sure).
It could be nice to have a hook condition when playing freddy wherein they wouldn't spawn too close to gates.

Wanna talk about the % use of Ruin or Noed? Lol
I don't even get the issue with Selfcare, 90% of killers use BBQ, does that mean I should come onto the forums and moan about it too? No, because it really isn't an issue, and neither is SC.

Oh my god, another goal post change! Of course a perk creates for survivors isn’t beneficial for survivor but more time is wasted when self caring than healing each other. But you can go ahead and blame survivors for losing the killer. In all the scenarios you give the killer is losing injured players left and right.

Nope i just know how to read a graph
The graph isn’t really that accurate for five reasons:
- Suicide (Survivors farming during Hallowed Blight definitely inflated these numbers)
- Rage quits
- Legitimate DCs
- Matchmaking (red rank Survivors will have an easier time escaping yellow or green rank Killers and vice versa, this happens a lot when you find SWF groups that have Survivors at various ranks)
- Non-altruistic Survivors
For all we know, only 20% of Survivors could actually die to being sacrificed with Survivors that are altruistic. The other 80% could be made up of suicides, rage quits, legit DCs, and bad MM.
I love that everyone counts bad survivors and dcs as reason the graph us wrong but never killer dcs, killer farming or giving the hatch. That's a lot of free escapes.
My fav is trying to discount altruistic deaths like ######### that mean, that person was willing to die to try and save someone, how does that mean it shouldn't count in the statistic.
Despite all those crappy reasons anyway, why do they keep talking about "deaths" the statistic is "Which survivors escape" not "which survivors didn't get killed". It's probably not even looking at disconnects and only survivors that leave via hatch or gate. they want the stat so badly to represent their "survivors are unkillable" mantra they spread on the forums.
-
@Peanits said:
If you just remove the hatch, you'll end up with that last survivor hiding for the next half an hour because touching generators is a death sentence. The killer will hear that they've progressed on a generator, know they're close, and then check the surrounding area. It's not a great mechanic currently, but removing it isn't going to make it any better.
Agreed, removing the hatch creates an even bigger & more annoying problem.
The devs have said they're working on it (you probably know more, if there is more to know) hopefully in the next PTB we will see something, -
@Whateverthefuck said:
@Peanits said:
The one massive flaw in that idea: People will just do what the did in the beta. You'd just notice a lot of survivors joining lobbies, backing out and re-queuing until they get into a lobby with their friends to circumvent the penalty, since the game would then be unable to detect if they're a group or not. And all the while, you would have killers sitting their watching the Musical Chairs World Championship, as one solo survivor sits there in their lobby legitimately playing the game as one four man squad after another joins, notices there's someone else in the lobby, and leaves.
This is why I feel it's better to bring solo survivors up to a SWF level and then balance around that.
Tbh I don't think people ever will do this since humans are naturally lazy but if they make the effort to rejoin lobbies just to have a slight advantage instead of just playing SWF I think they deserve it.
But at the same time you have killers dodging solo survivors who are in outfits the killer doesn't like (especially legacy) and bringing items in.
You'll never stop lobby dodging from either side and making updates that encourage the behaviour is bad.

Jesus, I can't even handle you, you LITERALLY typed the quote wrong in the first place, for the love of god if you're going to try and act smart be consistent, don't misquote something and then try and make me look stupid. LOL
Yeah I noticed that you usually don't know what people are talking about. But still comment on it. Maybe it's a attention thing.
Again, still completely avoiding the whole reason this conversation is happening and trying to make it seem like I'm in the wrong.
All i asked you is to prove that they lied about stats, which you were 100% they had, and were 100% you could prove, which you have not done, but you constantly change the subject of this conversation in some way to avoid the embarrassment.
Yeah, that "fix" is taking more than a year. Talk about priorities.
Yea, they haven't made killers as a whole even stronger and survivors even weaker, it's the same thing with self care whiners.
They nerfed the entirety of healing instead of just one perk, they've nerfed the entirety of surviving and made all killers stronger in the process. Again, no proof the devs lied about anything which is the reason this conversation even started.
As others pointed out, ranks don't mean anything, because people derank or play with lower ranks on their stream.
Thank God I'm not a killer main and never derank or play swf with low ranks...
Yes, I play SWF with low ranks, I also play SWF with high ranks, I also play SWF without any comms what so ever. I've played rank one killers and had a team of rank 14s. What is your point Tsulan, oh yea, your point is that you can't prove what you've said so you're constantly talking about nothing, like you always do.
Could you please stop making this personal? Let's talk like mature people.
Btw, I don't know if my answers got listed correctly. Since I'm answering from my phone.I can assure you this isn't personal, every topic I'm in, you're in. I asked you one simple question, which was to prove that the devs lied about statistics. All you've done is lie and post some links to some streams that proved you wrong because you were too lazy to watch them yourself.
Stop spreading lies because you have issues with the devs because they don't pander to your every whim, it's embarrassing.
Let's move on from this conversation because once again Tsulan, you have proved nothing.

Surprise, surprise! You acted exactly as I predicted. Calling the information null, void and outdated. And @powerbats wondered why I didn't gave you the timestamps to begin with.Well yea, what's the point in providing old statistics? Your point would be valid if they were still saying Freddy is too strong, which they aren't.
This data is PRE NERF, so like I said, while it is very likely the DATA was true when it was released it certainly isn't true now. I really don't understand how you can even argue this.
I asked you to provide proof that they lie, you've provided proof of them saying he was strong and people DC against him, which they DID NOT provide data on in that stream.
It's like if you brought up data about plague deaths now and said that they lied and misrepresented data if they showed you a chart of deaths from the 1300s
As I said before, they either don't know how to read their own stats or do it on purpose. There's a saying: never trust a chart you haven't manipulated yourself.

Literally nobody says this, not a single page on google has this "saying". You're making up even more things.
Devs called Freddy OP. When the only thing that was op, was the amount of new players. Because he was released on a free weekend which also had double bloodpoints. Pre nerf Freddy was weak to begin with, but that's a whole different story.
I don't even know what you're talking about here, they said he was strong, they nerfed him. They're now redoing him. There was no misrepresentation of data, like you claim.
Devs also admitted in a different stream that they made a mistake regarding Freddy. But over 1 year passed and they didn't revoke that mistake. Half the time the game existed...
So? You're literally the definition of what I always get called, A Strawman. Why are you talking to me about Freddy Buffs & Dev Mistakes. Your whole basis for your argument was that devs lie about facts, no one, especially the Devs are saying Freddy is strong right now, everyone agrees he is less efficient at killing than other killers.
As others pointed out, ranks don't mean anything, because people derank or play with lower ranks on their stream.
Oh dear "on their stream" another whiny little moaner that blames streamers for everything, and again another topic that has NOTHING to do with devs lying about stats, WHY can't you get it into your head that YOU started an argument accusing the devs of LYING about stats and saying theres "proof" of it and you haven't provided A SINGLE BIT.
I think almost every "killer" main I've actually conversed on this forum with have openly admitted to deranking, lmfao, some of them even DC depending on map, I don't get the fixation with attaching streamers to this, yet another strawman argument.
Until they rework the whole rank system and give out rewards for staying on high ranks, this situation won't change.
Yes, this is also about how devs lie about stats, you just can't stay on topic. Absolute facepalm.
Good job Tsulan, proving nothing, again.

I'm not saying the stats aren't true, they do seem really legitimate but can I say one thing without sparking an argument @SenzuDuck?Whenever a survivor DC's or doesn't load into the game, you'll get 25% bonus points to the Devout emblem for every survivor who DC'd. Obviously you know this but here's the scary part, whenever you check your Devout emblem post-trial, you'll see survivors who DC'd be marked as mori'd such as "25% Survivor Moris" So, knowing how the system tracks DCs as Survivor Moris, could this have skewed the statistics? Knowing this and how survivors were killing themselves during the Hollowed Blight event to get more nectar faster. I think the statistics are misleading slightly in my opinion and should be around the 50% area, however I do agree with you, killer is getting less stressful.
I'm not entirely sure how they're tracking it but I'd wager a bet the statistic only matters if they either 1. Exit through a gate, or 2. Leave via hatch.
I honestly can't see them tracking "Survivor Escape Rate" by seeing who the killer does and doesn't kill, that would be a real odd way of tracking it, imo.
But hey, they might and that would make the statics BS, but as you can see in this thread, a lot of people are just saying the stats aren't true "because bhvr" pretty much.
-
I'm sorry but survivors cannot hold the game "indefinitely" if they're in the exit gates, you can just walk towards them.
That being said it can be annoying, I haven't had survivors do this to me for a long time so I often forget how frustrating it could be, my advice is to walk into the exit gates, if they aren't there and holding the game hostage I suggest setting up a program to record your issue, after a certain time limit it would be considered "taking the game hostage" and you'll be able to report them.
You can supple evidence here - https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, and selecting the "Additional Player Report Information", and after uploading the video somewhere you can then paste the link to them which would then be reviewed.
-
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
From the drop down hit "Additional Player Report Information".
Although I can't see much being down about lag switching as they mentioned on their stream yesterday that lag switching is dealt with via EAC if caught, which is independent of the Devs.
Good luck.

You really watched the whole video and this comments from Matt didn't ring a bell?
If you always pay as little attention while watching streams, it explains why you got so many things wrong. I mean it's in the first 5 minutes... like really?Timestamps 3:45 and 4:14
I even took my time to search you the previous stream with the graphics.
Timestamp 22:44
But I'm sure you'll find an excuse to claim that's not true or something.
Bro, your argument was started because you said devs LIE about stats, WHAT STATS do they lie about in the two time stamps your posted?
The two things are the two things i POINTED out in my first reply to you. They don't state that "we can't differentiate between DC & Kills" and they don't tie that in with any stats either.
You DIDNT prove they lied about stats which is what I ASKED you for.
Your own time stamps prove you wrong.and THEN you move the goalpost and say "hey, here's another video btw"
Like come on Tsulan, what even.

Your proof of them giving us false stats is them saying "Freddy is tough" & "People DC against Freddy"
And just to bring it up, the SECOND video you post is about pre nerf freddy so
WHILE THOSE STATS WERE PROBABLY TRUE AT THE TIME
after his NERF it is likely they would have changed.Good job Tsulan, proving nothing, again.

Here we go again.^^I know, you have issues with math and if that is any kind of illness, I apologize, but if not...a) 2 survivor, survivor A is injured, survivor B is doing a gen. A heals himself while B keeps doing gens.
b) 2 survivor, survivor A is injured, survivor B is doing a gen. A goes to B and get healed. During that time 2 survivor are busy, but it only takes half the time.
BOTH versions will result in the same amount of total time spent healing and doing gens combine by the survivor.
But SC is negating the need to go and find someone.
Stop spreading these false memes.Yes, lets change the original thing you said which was
"a) each himself with SC at the same time"
"b) heal up each other one after the other"Your whole argument is based on two survivors being injured, but in this one only one of them needs to be healed?
implying that neither of them would be on a generator, but sure, we can change the scenarios half way through. You are aware that it doesn't chance anything about the MATHEMATICS (timemanagement), right?
If not, I am done debating with you anymore, but all other reading this will most likely "audibly laugh", cheers man.wow.
2 Survivors self caring next to each other would take double the amount of time it would if they selfcared each other.
Edit - made the numbers actually match healing because I had them wrong, duhhhh.
