I found six of them so far, it's fun. I did find the Ash v. ED twice though and it was the same code, so since I've seen one of each I'm assuming they're all claimed now.

They already come with at least one new theme for the menu every chapter, so it's not like they don't already devote resources to music. Not to mention they don't need to make 14 new themes at once when they could simply add new music gradually.
This is apparently exactly what they're going to do.
Dev stream says The Doctor will be the first to get new chase music.

Its literally the only Challenge of Level 4 that is somewhat difficult.
Entity forbid there be a single challenge that's actually challenging.

Your smoking some funny #########, DBD on PC alone has 15K average players. Last year only has 500 peak times and its only for PC.
And last time i checked Last Year killers are OP AF no counterplay OP like Old Nurse. no one wants to play that.
It's peaked at over 1000, actually.
And you should check again. Killers stomp bad survivors, but coordinated Survivor teams will destroy killers more often than not (Hmm, why does that sound familiar...)
As for the OP... yeah, no. Just because LY has voice comms doesn't mean that has any place in DBD. DBD doesn't need to be copying an infant challenger in the arena it's dominated for three years.
Err, as far as game design, that is. Graphics and cosmetics-wise, they should definitely take notes.

Exactly, NO SURVIVOR IS SAFE!
Wow, you are a fast responder. I hadn't even left the thread before I got the notification that you replied.

You must not know of the legendary bald dwight than...
Or the Freddy copy-cat Dwight... or the dwight wit-
Basically if they have flashy clothes, they're bald, wear sunglasses, use flashlights, and love to t-bag or flashlight click in-game than it's a toxic Dwight.
Every Survivor has a toxic side, none have been spared from this curse.
Not to mentioned prestiged Dwights are notoriously toxic.
One way or another every survivor has a toxic rep.

I was active in that subreddit a while ago, it seemed pretty killer biased to me then, don't know if anything changed.
Probably not.
Hard not to notice OP didn't even bother mentioning what he said that got him laughed off the subreddit, but dw guys, I'm sure it was totally reasonable and those other guys are just boolis.

You don't need to have "an intent to dodge" to see a Lvl 1 Claudette in your lobby and immediately know to leave.

I think the reason people feel like he's weak now is because for someone who knows what they're doing, it seems pretty easy to loop him normally while he's using his power because he can apparently no longer flick around corners with Demon Strike. That said, his tracking ability and mobility is still intact and ought not to be disregarded entirely. He's not a terrible killer by any means, he's just not as good as he used to be.
It's also possible that part of his success rate so far is simply because most people haven't really learned how to counter him yet - the same problem we see all the time at grey ranks, where killers dominate because survivors don't know how to play against them. So it's a bit early to tell, practically speaking, just how effective a killer he is. As long as most people don't know how to counter him, the possibility remains that he's actually a lot weaker in his abilities than he seems currently.
He's been out for over two weeks now, and playable for nearly a month. We're well past the point of survivors simply not knowing how to play against him.
-
Funny, he looks exactly the same as P3-0...
-
It does seem really cool, actually. I had very low expectations for the relaunch, but it impressed me. A lot of the major issues seem to have been addressed. Although it still has a long way to go, with some time, it could have been something nice.
It's a shame the community is still unbelievably toxic and that so many just want the game to die out of spite. The kind of people that are the reason everyone makes fun of "gamers".
-
They've already nerfed it once, it's fine as is. The fields of corn are otherwise giant dead spaces, the obscured vision is supposed to compensate for that.
-
Surprisingly not that terrible, iirc? I was never really super-immersed and I pretty quickly figured out that gens were the entire game. I guess I threw down pallets like crazy, but that's what you were supposed to do in 2016.
The only really bad thing I remember doing is running Deja Vu, but I had virtually no other perks at the time so it's not like I had a choice.
-
Yeah, let's just have Billy drop his Chainsaw every stun.
-
People wanting it doesn't even mean it should be added back.
Naturally plenty of Survivors want to be able to dodge bad teammates more easily.
-
I completely forgot there used to be one.
-
New Survivors stopped having a recognizable personality since David.
All the recent survivor stereotypes, outside of maybe Toxic Steve, just boil down to 'bad'. Which isn't surprising since because most DBD players are bad. Dumb Blonde Kate, clueless Jane/Nancy, most of the Yui descriptions in this thread so far, all the same thing.
-
Well, it's better than anything I could have made.
(But trust me, that's not saying a lot.)
-
No way. This game gets stale enough as it is waiting 3 months for new content.
-
This forum happens to be the most convenient place for the loudest and most obnoxious members of the community to scream their frustrations.

To think that players don't make a decision to purchase a killer based off PTB gameplay is just lying.
Then it's a good thing no one ever said they didn't.

When they release a NEW CHAPTER version of the PTB, its not a TEST build but a showcase for the new content. They are just too lazy to come up with another Showcase Build server to they multiuse the one they have.
I bet you knew this, but wanted to white knight BHVR anyways.
Well that's a new one.
The Public Test Build is not a Public Test Build. Even though they constantly buff and nerf perks, addons, and powers in between testing and live, it's all just for show. Wow.
You people need to listen yourselves. You sound insane.

@Outland said:

Then how about you guys NOT release a PTB until known issues that are definitely going to change the game play of a character are addressed?
I'm sure a lot of people would rather the PTB be a representation of the final product, as far as base play-ability is concerned, otherwise, all you are really doing is a fun art show. "This is what it'll look like, but don't get used to any of the game play because we aren't actually done with it."
BHVR has been at this for 3 years now and you sure as heck should know your player base by now. Name once where you actually made changes like this (regardless of how well documented you made them) that didn't blow up in your face?
Then those people don't understand what the point of a TEST build is.

They didn't say this wasn't intended until just now. After people had purchased him.
That issue was posted the day of his release. Before anyone had purchased him.
-
@Ihatelife said:

Ok, then why it wasn't mentioned in PTB patch notes that it wasn't intented, but only now? Like seriously ONLY the nurse and spirit can still handle against the expierienced survivor while other killers can do ######### against them.
Now you're reaching. Logic says that it probably wasn't a known issue at the time of the PTB.
Not that it matters in the slightest since the problem was acknowledged BEFORE he was available for purchase. Anyone who plays a PTB is fully aware the killer could be changed between then and release, and BHVR put everyone on notice the Oni wasn't functioning as intended and would be changed. It's that simple.
-
@ThirdEyeGod said:
Yes, I completely agree. Everyone who enjoyed playing Oni because of the flick. The devs knew this and decided it was in their best financial interest to not publicly declare it as a bug, but to wait until they had made a certain amount of money to then nerf it.
I unfortunately spent real money on the Oni and no longer have any desire to play him. His perks aren't too spectacular either meaning I pretty much won't be using any of the content I purchased which feels terrible.
"Known Issues:
The Oni can rotate faster than intended with the keyboard or joystick during Demon Dash. "

@Ihatelife said:

But the flick was existing from the PTB though? Stop nerfing killers devs, the game is getting boring with every update, when it comes to play as the killer.
Bug fixes and nerfs are two completely different things. The release patch notes specifically mention Oni still being able to rotate faster than intended.
-
The stupidly long queue times have a lot more to do with the terrible DS matchmaking infrastructure than the killer:survivor ratio.
-
Yes, there was.
-
The Shrine needs a major overhaul. It's basic format hasn't changed since there were a fraction of the number of perks we have now.
-
The queues are definitely absurd at the moment.
But at that length of time, your game was probably glitched. Did you try reloading the game during that wait?

Dwight has a variety of outfits that are not pizza delivery themed. Date night outfits, mechanic cosmetic, hallowed blight etc.
Soon we are going to have Dwelf 😊

Dwight mechanic outfit.
Nea is just mainly stuck in the rebel stereotype
That's the point though. So does Meg.
Her Fortuneteller Outfit isn't athletic. Her upcoming outfit isn't athletic. Her Street Smart set and Grim Matsuri outfits aren't "athletic". And Camping isn't the same aesthetic as athletic no matter how had you try to stretch it.
The community really likes to exaggerate, but she has plenty of outfits that aren't sporty. She also has a lot that are, but that's just because she has more cosmetics than anyone. But Dwight/Nea/Feng absolutely fall into the same pattern.

Good lord. Having played the game since soon after release, I always wondered why people thought Meg looked terrible, cause I've always quite liked her design. Now I realise that it was because I had an image of her in my head from before she got goblified.
I literally went through the exact same thought process when I saw that post.
-
Okay, but terrible Survivors have always been running UE. Nothing new.

@Volfawott said:

It's weird that Meg is the only one locked into their stereotype
Feng Min is just a gamer but has more diverse outfits.
Kate is a singer but that's not the only stereotype of outfits she gets.
She isn't though. Meg does have other outfits.
And what about Dwight whose outfits are constantly pizza-related? Or Nea, whose outfits constantly make her look homeless?

Upvote?
It's 2019, we have polls.

sorry but no most maps are so bright it is like a circus let us have some dark maps
Like Ormond.
Totally dark and creepy in the concept art, blindingly bright in-game...
I like having a few legitimately dark maps again.
-
Gen Rushing isn't a thing, so I guess they're free to keep whining...
-
I don't know about that, I've played against a few Spirits since the nerf and I've been seeing a lot less uncounterable BS hits.
-
I couldn't disagree more, though it seems with every killer there's going to be at least someone who says it isn't scary to them.
But like Spaz and Boss said... how is the Huntress scary? Unless you have some special phobia of clowns, how is the Clown even remotely scary? I think Oni is just about objectively more intimidating than either of them.
If a giant Samurai in an Oni mask was charging toward you one night, that would be terrifying. The Clown is just a fat guy in makeup, the Huntress is just a tall lady with a rabbit mask.
-
It's a vicious cycle that's trapped Adam and Jeff. No one plays them because they're boring. Because no one plays them, they hardly get new cosmetics. Because they don't get new cosmetics, people think they're boring...
-
I'm almost scared to ask, but what are you doing with your time besides "gen rush" when you don't have a challenge to do? If I was your teammate it sounds like I'd be grateful that LMH is 'forcing' you to complete our only objective.
-
Imagine getting almost 20 free cosmetics and still whining about not getting 4 more.
-
I usually stop playing after an enjoyable game rather than an annoying one.
-
Aliens.

You could... you could try healing to dodge the exhaustion?
You have to be injured (which means you were likely in a chase with the killer), the killer has to find, chase, and down someone else, he has to pick that survivor up and hook him, and then he has to find you again. You're telling me that between all of this you have not found the opportunity to heal?
Right...
And what happens when it's a Plague game and healing is just suicidal? Or it's against any killer that punishes healing?
At any rate, I'm not sure how your point addresses the topic of whether or not the cooldown is necessary since the entire discussion assumes that there are Survivors injured in the first place. Otherwise it doesn't matter whether or not there is a cooldown at all.
-
It already failed once, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
Despite the negative PR, the real killer for it the first time was the lack of any type of progression, and there's no sign that they've addressed that.
-
I literally have only used this change to dodge low lvl players.
And sure, I love being able to do that, but it's not really healthy in general.
