Blood Echo absolutely needs the cooldown, taking away all Exhaustion perks more than once a minute would be utterly obnoxious. It's hilariously short for a cooldown as is. If you're actually in a position where that cooldown is even coming into play, you're doing fine anyway.
As far as AMN, it's "nice" to see people still don't understand what an unsafe pallet is. That perk is also strong and deserves its cooldown.

I agree that GF is fundamentally broken because his power is literally broken. You can look at him and nothing happens. You can also cancel his power through walls.
As far as being overpowered...not at all.
I hate that you're not even kidding with this, but it never fails.
Not even on your screen? Behind a bunch of clutter and you don't even actually know he's there? Revealed!
Right in front of you? Literally in the middle of your screen? Nothing.

Those killer ones are super easy? (OP had two listed when I started writing)
LMH just takes time. The only remotely hard part about it is that everyone is after it at once. But if you play the game normally, hook swapping during EGC happens a lot. That one will obviously take more than one or even more than a few games, but it's not going to take weeks, which is the amount time you have to do it.
-
In their defense, most of the Survivors are intentionally one-dimensional, in line with the various Final Girls they're all (and yes, I mean the men too) based on.
-
6 at P3 50 w/ all perks, one at P0 P50.
-
Again, there's no rush to complete the challenges, so throwing a match as soon as you've done part of an objective is silly and irrational, not "optimal". You're not getting a medal because you completed them before everyone else. Congrats on getting your ~15k BPs slightly faster and losing out on a whole lot more you could have gotten by just playing all those games you threw. And for what? Yeah, let's not play the game so you can hurry and complete this challenge so you can... play the same game...
-
I never imagined they were going to do the Archives with the new characters.
For instance, the current Claudette one is just a story about one time in her childhood. It's nice, but there's no reason they can't tell another story about her in the future. After their done with the free characters I figured they would just circle back around. Even that will take over a year, so they aren't exactly pressed here.

If they had to do custom chase music for all killers it would be a ton of work, and unless they somehow make it purchasable it would be work for free, and that would be very unlikely.
They already come with at least one new theme for the menu every chapter, so it's not like they don't already devote resources to music. Not to mention they don't need to make 14 new themes at once when they could simply add new music gradually.

Not exactly. Haddonfield IS the most broken when you consider balanced landing. Just not in general. Not everyone uses balanced landing.
Still, even WITH BL in its current state and even though BL is, for now, the best Exhaustion perk, the map is only #3 in terms of favoring Survivors. With BL getting its well-deserved nerf, and considering the massive effect that perk had on that map, I doubt it will still be #3 in the long run. Which tends to go against the current suggestion that it's so slanted that it needs to be reworked.

There's a chart specifically for the Nurse on PC before and after the change, both for red ranks and all ranks.
Ah, thanks for correcting me then. I had missed the "on PC" specification for that one.
-
You make a good point OP. Lack of separation between console and PC definitely undermines, for instance, the Nurse data. Since we all know they might as well be two completely separate categories.
-
Yep, no surprise that The Game is STILL near the top of the list of most deadly maps.
Edit: NVM on Haddonfield, I misread the stats.
Edit 2: Wait, no I didn't. Yeah, Haddonfield is still behind 2 other maps.
-
Many of the Onis I've played against, probably not very experienced ones, seem to consistently make the mistake of slugging in order to preserve their power. In the process, they often end up finding nobody else or downing only one other person, by which time the other person has already recovered and escaped.
That makes it really hard for me to judge, without playing, whether or nor the power drain is effective because many Onis themselves aren't dealing with it properly. That said, by the time the power activates the first time, the Oni usually isn't going to have any trouble getting it off the second time. I don't think the loss on pick-up is a big deal because of that. The first time's the hardest.

A blown totem makes such an explosion it should also afflict injured state on the survivor.
Why not skip the BS and have it just kill the Survivor on the spot?

The Maps were BL is a problem will not be good for Killers, even after the change.
You dont want to play in Haddonfield, even without Balanced Landing. Grim Pantry still has insane Loops. Crotus Prenn Main Buildung still has multiple windows and 4 safe Pallets.
Neither of those Maps where the "balance of certain maps" was "shifted only because of BL" will be good for Killers after the change.
And? Did BL make those maps those maps much easier for Survivors or did it not?
Some maps may favor Survivors but they're far from one-sided w/o BL. And those aren't the only maps where BL completely changes the game, for instance... The Game.
-
Same old, same old in this thread.
Adrenaline rewards the Survivors for completing their objective. NOED rewards the Killer for failing to do theirs. And how is 'Just knock out all the totems' any more "counterplay" than 'Don't let the Survivors complete 5 gens'?
Totems aren't a 'secondary objective. Beyond hexes, the only reason to ever do them is to avoid NOED, where missing a single one means you wasted your time. But GL knocking them all out when solo survivors have no way of knowing if all the totems are gone except by personally checking for all five, wasting so much time in the process that they would have been better off ignoring it completely.
-
I don't. It's not that I consider it 'toxic' by itself, but I rarely have a reason to since I almost never bring in items.
-
Because it received an insane buff in between those nerfs, one that completely shifts the balance of certain maps all by itself? That seems like a good enough reason.
-
Unlike every other Exhaustion perk, the player can't control when Adrenaline activates, so it shouldn't be cut off if you're already exhausted. Don't forget that the fact that it even causes Exhaustion and prevents you from using SB/DH/etc. afterwards was a nerf all itself.
-
I really hope not.
We get, BHVR, you like bikers. But you don't need to make every character into one, enough already.

Ikr, we only have ONE survivor who has blonde hair by default (Laurie) and it's see through half the time
Kate? Kimura? Both blonde.
Dwight is pretty skinny, too.
-
Not sure what history you're referring to since nearly every single killer has been buffed between PTB to live, not nerfed.

well let's not forget killers coming from the comics universe.
Imagine... Carnage

...and considering that the next Venom movie will actually star Carnage, who knows?
I'm personally not interested in the slightest, but I wouldn't be too surprised if one day one of the edgier villains from a comic was added to the game. I imagine there are a few big names that would appeal to a lot of players.
-
Yes, it was changed quite a bit. Many of the hedges have been replaced with much uglier patches of grass. The windows were adjusted as well.
-
AMN is a great perk. Pallets are a finite resource, being able to reuse ANY of them is huge.
I almost feel like people are pretending its bad so they can beg for buffs. The perk is fine as is.
-
Lighting has changed, usually for the worse, pretty often. Oddly enough, in the new PTB several maps are quite a bit darker.
-
Not sure if the posters above me are aware of this, but the map was reworked for the PTB.
(Personally, I don't like the changes either. I liked the original aesthetic and I still say BL was the real problem.)
-
Both of them knew what they were in for when they chose to main that goblin.
(You forgot Kimura btw.)
-
Survivor perks have a very, very low standard, I was actually relieved these ones weren't a total disappointment.
-
He's wrong, anyway. The idea that the community 'forced' SWF into the game is just a myth. The devs always planned to have an SWF feature at some point; which is common sense, because no one could possibly not expect friends to want to play together, or that people wouldn't try to find a way to play together without a dedicated feature.
And to the OP, no, the devs take any community feedback with a grain of salt. As you can see after every patch goes live and this forum generally erupts in a chorus of whining "You didn't listen to us!!!"
-
It's incredibly inconsistent. The "first time on the shrine" rule doesn't always hold true. Some perks that took multiple chapters to first show up on the Shrine have only cost 2000.
-
As long as the Plague exists, Blood Echo will never be the same level as Mindbreaker.
-
There might as well not be one. They are related only in name, really.
-
As Medic said, you can't block the killer, because they can still break the pallet.
But you can shut out other Survivors. A bit of an unhealthy interaction, imo. It's a little too easy to grief someone when this essentially allows you to block a vault. You can even throw down a pallet in front of Survivor being chased and then block them from vaulting it. I like this perk, but I hope they adjust that part of it before the chapter goes live.
-
Well, going off the files in the PTB, I've got some bad news...
-
It's a baby killer perk. Helps you learn maps, but fairly useless once you know what you're doing.
-
Breakup not stacking means it's safely a "Good but not OP" perk. I'm pleasantly surprised, Breakout and Any Means Necessary are both good. After Nancy finally brought more useful perks I thought we'd seed the last of any good Survivor perks for a while.
As for the killer's, Zanshin is basically WoO for killers and is just as newbie-oriented. The others have potential. Although, Nemesis just sounds comedic. Obsession whiplash.
-
The trailer is out, which means the name has been officially revealed. This time we have quite a few winners! In fact, a record 11 winners!
Congratulations most of all to @NoShinyPony for being the very first to guess the correct answer, The Oni!
Winners:
πποΈπ @NoShinyPony
ποΈ@MedicSpirit7
ποΈ@Cussock
ποΈποΈ@PhantomMask20763 (Double Trophies, because this is his second time with a right answer! They also correctly guessed in last Fall's competition.)
ποΈ@Science_Guy
ποΈ@MegaWaffle
πποΈ@Okapi (See? It's shiny.)
ποΈ@SpookyJeff
ποΈ@TheLastGreatStar
ποΈ@UsagiDoll
ποΈ@Karltastisk
And I also said I'd give credit to people who were close enough, and Oni/Demon are close enough. Picking Demon over Oni was probably just an assumption they wouldn't use the local language in the name of the killer.
So credit also goes to 4 more people, bringing the total number of correct guesses to a whopping 15:
ποΈ@Andreyu44
ποΈ@BBQnDemogorgon
ποΈ@Mc_Harty
ποΈ@Mikeadatrix
Pretty good job, everyone. I think it's about time there was a round where a lot of people got the correct answer.

Science_Guy is definitely wholesome, theyβre the most wholesome member and we should start a cult. :D
T_T
Not true at all though, lol.
-
With the killer name (probably) having been leaked, I think it's time to close submissions. But, I shall wait for a final confirmation before handing out any ποΈs. With any luck, the PTB will drop tomorrow.
-
I swear that "wholesome" thing is getting creepy.
People always seem to bring it up in relation to one particular streamer. They say that word over and over again. "He's just so wholesome!" They sound like a cult.
-
So, going off of all of that..
I'm going to co-sign off on a few obvious ones: The Oni, Samurai, Ancestor all seem possible.
Reading over the lore, I have two of my own guesses: The Mask, The Guardian.
BTW, usually names are pretty simple, but if this one turns out to be some obscure Japanese word, I think "close enough" guesses should/will count.
-
Adding some more hints...
https://twitter.com/DeadByBHVR/status/1195672968564760576I also think it might be important to remember the lore from the original Chapter 9, much of which might be explained again with this upcoming update:
"The estate was bought by the first of the Yamaoka, a shipwreck survivor, who came from a distant ashy island. He washed ashore just as political tensions sparked the flames of war.
Yamaoka joined the battlefield and unleashed hell on his foes. No one could match the raw fury of his Katana, which elevated him to a legend. They say his devilish mask haunted the dreams of all men.
His fame grew as he spilled blood on both sides of the conflict. With power came wealth, which he used to buy the estate and begin his legacy.
The land was passed down from one generation to the next, each one leaving its mark on the landscape. The garden grew and expended through the ages. Now only an old maple tree remains untouched from Yamaoka's era, representing the whole family."
"While the Yamaoka Estate displayed a glorious past, the Family Residence was falling apart. The house needed numerous renovations to remain habitable.
The last generation of the Yamaoka family were facing troubled times. Their finances were dire and the situation worsened when the daughter started university, just a few months before the mother became ill. Shouldering both university fees and hospital bills, the father worked past exhaustion.
To keep a roof over their heads, he profaned their legacy. The walls of their ancestral home were sealed with mouldy materials for a cheap fix.
As the house was stripped of its integrity, an old anger was awakened."
-
This happened all of twice, right? Yeah, it's a shame they stopped.

There's a reason most people with Legacy don't wear them all the time, myself included, and it's not just because they don't want to be tunneled.

Not true tho. Legacy is a real nice looking cosmetic
They're recolors of base game cosmetics. A few of them look alright, but every character has much better things to work with especially after the Store.
