So I'm a killer main and after talking to survivors in red ranks about why they dont like spirit a lot of people say the same thing they do about nurse.

Even if you can juke nurse and spirit and evade them momentarily, its almost impossible to fully escape them as you can other killers, and thats what makes them ufnun to go against.

Of course these are skilled nurses and spirits not brown - green.

I mean this can be said about any killer - except if the killer gives up because they realize they're about to waste 2-3 minutes getting looped around safe pallets

The build is decent on Lerys, but your screwed if a survivor ALSO uses a map offering and puts you on Ormond or something, lol. As far as the counter goes, often times its just down to keeping an eye on the closest doorways while fixing a gen and be ready to run as soon as you see movement. Chasing anyone as T1 myers is pretty much impossible, so while you might get a hit...If they werent injured already, they'll get away at that point. They then need to find a spot where they can keep LOS to heal up before working on another gen.

I personally don't bring map choices as survivor since I like the random, and as killer would rather have a points one or a mori when I'm about to prestige so I suppose you could spam offerings every match in anticipation you may face a mirror myers. And letting a survivor go to heal is part of his meta: 30 seconds to heal is more than enough time to get a good angle where they're either trapped or can't get to a safe point in time anyway

  • Yep just keep in mind that it's coming... Soon™

  • I mean honestly I didn't know how it truly worked until I looked up a video.

  • @TAG said:

I'm for buffing his movement speed a bit in Tier 1. I'd also be okay with making Scratched Mirror grant him his immunities to all detection tools again.

I'd prefer the opposite personally. scratched mirror already gives benefits in t1 for the fact he's stuck in it. If he gets the benefit of no detection and infinite aura reading in the smaller maps in the game (cause you know he'll be using the offering to do so), survivors have nothing besides "listen for his breathing" which while I haven't played against him enough yet but usually it's too late to evade a hit 3 seconds from generator (never gen grabbed against it at least)

  • I 100% prefer killer since you'll get 6k worth of shards of perks from it + more variety for fun.

  • I just unlocked spirit earlier this week and I'm loving playing her w/o any addons, but I finally unlocked rank 1 bbq so at least my deviousness offerings will help out further.

  • I could assume the best use of traps would be setting chokepoints in the 'main' hallway. The one leading from the lab towards the third floor, along with the big room that's balanced landing's lover so as to play against their plans. otherwise hawkins isn't that chase unfriendly that you have to shut down 6 safe pallets with a trap beforehand

Sabo is good how it is you just need to be smart with it. Having a bunch of hooks 99% and ready for when a killer picks up a downed survivor is a good use of sabo. Not many people use sabo now but also so many people will cry about NOED but tell you using small game to find totems is a waste of time.

The main way I see it used is someone using unbreakable will sit at a corner gen with their nearest hooks broken

You were hit just before you dropped the Pallet.

I've had many times where I hit an invisible 'wall' (complete with clack noise) in front of a Survivor because the game decided the pallet dropped first, and I was still pallet stunned afterwards.

I enjoy that one often...tends to happen when the pallet is resting on the side the loop is happening (and therefore the survivor is on) so instead of aiming at the survivor it aims for the incoming dropping pallet

  • @bomb1720 said:

can someone tell me what is best to be used with the scratched mirror? when i saw this post i thought you were gonna be talking about me, thankfuly not. i used faster stalking speed and not realizing how pethetic my lunge would be. he literally waves the knife just past his chest, like he has arms of a t-rex, lol

I believe it's the common "tier 1 lunge" increase slightly one.

  • What gordon says: fix the greed of one more loop. The only time you get hit when you 'dropped the pallet' is if the killer is already lunging and would hit the location you stand as the pallet is being dropped. They get sent to the wrong side of the pallet as their body was closer to it still.

  • Is that 80% disconnects a random number chosen an exaggeration or their actual percentage?...

Ds. The best mind game perk in the game

It really is. At first it was "lul I'll locker myself" to force / avoid slug. Now it's only 1-2 people are bringing it in my games so there's an obsession and me ignoring people that got unhooked recently that "play bold" end up not having it at all rofl

  • I completely agree with this and turn it back: If there's a mori don't assume they're just a tunnel express so don't dc when you get downed.

  • If they were thinking of implementing something like this I'd say they would have to at least double the time if we're excluding other objectives from this timer. 2 minutes may not be enough to do a little tap on a regressing generator but 4 is more than enough if you aren't focusing on never being found.

From what I've heard from better killers than me fire up does speed up picking up a survivor, but even a 20% faster pickup on a maybe what...1.5 second action is only .30 seconds shorter.

  • I honestly didn't know this was a thing until now, but have seen it sometimes on my friend's ps4. It's when a survivor disconnects on their final hook?

    @ChainsawCharlie said:

Why do you care if he gets to keep his stuff or not? It doesn't effect you. When people DC I laugh because it tells me I'm doing my job well. Getting Rank 1 is easy for me so I don't care if his DC hurts my pipping either, cause Red ranks are very stressful to play killer anyway...

You have get into the competitive spirit of things. If you get this sort of reaction, that means you pissed them off. So don't ALSO get angry. Take joy in the domination!!! Don't feel bad about it and stop trying to control other peoples' actions. All you can do is be the best killer you can be, and that will ALWAYS get DCs.

I mean there's a reason the bloodweb / items disappearing on death exists...Survivors dcs wasting a killer's addons AND don't lose any of their spent BP on the match assuming they didn't use an offering?

Imagine the worst-case scenario: multiple survivors bring in very strong toolboxes and rush gens, but if they're going to die they save their toolbox for the next match so they never have to worry about losing it - but since they have a near 20% boost on generators the chance they're dying is quite low so they don't have to worry about hitting the supposed DC threshold.

Sad part is it’s true, especially during slow queue times. I play spirit, no OP addons and not an annoying slowdown build. But as soon as I down the first survivor they DC, another teammate DCs and I have to decide if I wanna “sweat” a 2-1 game and make the other survivors suffer or do a lame semi farm to make use of the pudding I used

Like I agree people using moris on first unhook is extremely annoying - but they have that situation once then dc on first down from now on. Only time I ever do that is when I have a mori daily as a killer I'm terrible at and want to get the daily done since I used the offering. Otherwise I want a death hook fatality...which may avoid decisive strike sometimes but that's a minor loss compared to them having made it to a locker.

Killer addons though: They had to spend at least what, 50k? in a bloodweb to maybe get one of their items and they want to have a (for them) fun match where they don't have to try hard to hook 5 people before gens finish getting not-rushed.

  • As survivor: plague as I'm still at the immersed level

    Killer: disconnects

  • @johnmwarner said:

Here’s my question, if you’re going to quit against certain killers, addons, perks or maps why are you playing this game with so much RNG? Play a single player game with fixed objectives and enemies.

"Because that'll teach those killers not to play what I don't want them to!" Literally said by some survivors

My mindset was that Spirit is FAR better, but if they miss the phasing swing, all spirit's need to deal with is a missed attack cooldown

She also has to deal with 5% slower speed than normal killers. If a player already had distance from a mis-prediction, that's basically waiting for her cooldown to come back.

Works for me! I shall take care of that!

@GunDemNoobs I'll do my best to help them see it!

@S_Panda could you explain more what you mean exactly?

From what I'm reading: the only loss from missing frenzy would be a missed attack cooldown. If you're moving at +50% a player's movement speed you can cutoff + body block on a more open map (thinking of things like rotten fields / crotus asylum). This would mean you can no longer escape unless you're already near a structure of safety.

  • The no stun from missing feral frenzy would be horribly misused with this 'fix'...purposely miss attack while chasing now injured survivor hit wall now caught up for a near free hit if they didn't run right away to a safe area

Congrats! I unlocked her last night and did a joke match w/ only her perks / no addons last night and only got my rancor kill at the end (he also popped my haunted grounds early on, and lockered. I only found him thanks to a gen popping with rancor rofl). Tonight I got it thanks to it being a mixed group of SWF

  • I can't really imagine it...I'll assume hatchet hits don't give/remove tokens so they hit their obsession only with hatchets while doing the 1-2 whomp on nons... That's still only 6 or so tokens near the end game at best.

  • I'd say no. If it were true then you'd see all claudettes running anti-tunneling perks / chase extensions...which they don't. As a killer I honestly don't aim to tunnel a survivor, just aim for one who's literally in my sights / in a bad position before worrying about who they are. The only outlier to this is "hey I just got unhooked totally don't go after me" survivor *dashes into locker*

  • It's not fully common, but even into the purple ranks you'll find one or two imo.

  • 1 Tip I heard elsewhere is a pretty good one: be patient before throwing. Unless you're so far the survivor can dodge your hatchet either wise (in which case why are you not closing distance first), you'll get a faster throw and the survivor will start zig zagging to make you miss which slows them down as well. soon as they're about to enter your throwing spot, release.

  • I just unlocked her last night and I'm testing out whether I can pull off a "barely in terror radius" gen grab...sadly I'm not good at distances yet in this game.

  • I had an immersed laurie standing against the outside of one of the jungle gym walls on blood lodge against spirit. I pretended I didn't see her got close spun and whack.

  • Well after 2 matches of not getting 4k / 0 gens done I don't think spirit is 'wear headphones lul' level of easy, though I'm only using her initial perks / no addons for now.

  • @SnyprLife said:

If you're healthy and your within around 4m to an injured survivor and take a hit that is a protection hit. Taking a hit if you're healthy while the killer is carrying a survivor also counts. Getting a safe hook save (15 seconds after unhook) also gets you a stack. Also there are two types of protection hits, one that gives you 200 bloodpoints and another that gives you 100 bloodpoints, the 200 bloodpoint kind is the one that gives you stacks towards WLGF. I hope this helped

Thanks for this in depth explanation. I had stopped using it as I tend to only unhook maybe twice in a match sadly (due to others being much closer / killer finding me first)...and if I want a perk just for extra points I go bbq on killers :D

Why does it work like that. It shouldn't even exists.

Because that's how his power works? What would you suggest is replaced in existence because it's "not fun"?

  • @ASAPTurtle said:

The 60 second sleep timer that survivors go into should get removed. I'm getting penalized for nothing. And it starts randomly too which makes no sense.

It starts right as you're woken up/unhooked or 30 seconds after you alarm clock yourself.

  • I'm pretty sure it's still there. What you're getting is another change to matchmaking so you aren't waiting 10 minutes for a match. You can match with people +/- 6 ranks of your own so if you're purple that means you're at the highest 8 I believe?

  • I'll be unlocking her via shards soon so expect an announcement in a week. /s

The main thing that agitates me with DC'ing killers is the loss of offerings. Same when a player decides to DC in loading and again, lost offering. It sucks, especially when it's a rare offering that isn't the easiest thing to obtain. There needs to be fixes in place to give players points for a Killer DC, since killers get a quitter bonus. So why do survivors get nothing?

If it's in loading I believe you don't actually lose your offering (and killer their addons) they're just removed from the pane so it looks like you used it.

Survivors are getting some points in the next update I believe...something like 600 altruism?

  • What'd be a nice addition is if they refund the killer's addons/offering if enough rage quit early on.

Sure punishing survivors who do this often would be nice, but how often do they realistically do this?

Meanwhile any time a killer uses an "OP" build loses their items and gets much less points out of the match since it's less survivors.

It was the tall reeds in backwater swamp to the right of one of the exit doors

I'm about 80/20 that those work the same as corn but would need confirmation on that. The other 'sight' blockers I'm thinking of that wouldn't directly block are yamaoka estate's short-bamboo stalks

This is not the way to approach a discussion, I'm not trying to sell anything. I have my idea and I expressed my reasoning behind it.

You don't agree with that? Fine, you're entitled to have your opinion, wrong or right it doesn't really matter, but still, try to be respectful.

You are directly trying to sell something: add nerfs to ghostface via sound cues ala ptr pre-nerf, a stun ala light-burn when his stealth has nothing to do with the other realm or a further nerf to his stealth altogether that requires him to be stealthy while not having a stealth ability.

  • @Auron471 said:

Its not going to a Halloween event anymore. Its gonna be the Nightmare Before Christmas event.

That's honestly a good twist on it that I'm still smiling about.

  • As the others have already answered it quite well enough imo I'm going to go a bit off-tangent:

Blessing: Divine Sight - Whenever an aura is revealed to a survivor (either through a map or another perk), and the survivor is within 48m of the blessing, any other survivors also within 48m of the blessing will also be shown the aura (for example is the survivor sees the killer's aura with Alert and that survivor is within the blessing's area of effect, all survivors within the area of effect will also see the killer's aura). Every time you take a protection hit, the area of effect is increased by 16m.

This could honestly be a neat thing to buff solo players with a bit of tweaking. Say for any survivor within an x meter distance - say 8ish, they share their aura readings with each other...Excluding maybe an object of obsession since that'd require A having no downside for sharing or B giveaway the fact there's 2 people in one spot now.

  • You're right that those 4 are definitely meta perks, but all 4 survivors don't need to have borrowed time. Iron Will is especially used by say someone trying to be the chased and therefore is a direct replacement to borrowed time in that build. It's usable against every killer and strong against spirit/nurse. To call it not meta would be calling those 4 not meta. If a perk is being used by half the survivors in a match I would hardly call it not meta.

You are directly asking for a buff to said meta perk to "punish" killers who slug so that you can sit there for 4 minutes effectively holding the game hostage by sitting in a patch of grass.

Do go on about "feedback" when you aren't asking for something positive for the game itself.

  • @kone19 said:

I’ve looked up the timing and saved the video to count. I was looking at him easily long enough to drop his shroud, but it didn’t drop even if I accounted for add ons extending it.

What type of tall grass might I ask? Corn fields block stalking (and by relation breaking him out of it). The same happens with mikey's stalking in corn fields. They're considered line of sight blockers even if you're directly on the survivor's path.

  • Feedback and constructive criticism = wholeheartedly agreeing with buffing a meta perk

  • Michael can hit tier 3 and down all 4 survivors in one go, wraith can body block survivors while cloaked, pig has her traps as a slow down on the side and can use it for mind-gaming that no other killer can do on short debris loops, nurse is nurse.

Ghostface can not do anything besides M1 which all of these can also do alongside their powers. Against a stalking-focused ghostface breaking him out of stealth means a +~20 seconds timer on the chase that will ensue at minimum as he won't want to give up his stalk meter on you. Against the other ghostfaces it's a slowdown to an M1 based chase.

I just think all fog related oferings are useless...

    Can they just stop existing?

They're great for when I'm survivor alting as I'm still quite immersed :P. That being said yes only a slight lessen/thicken isn't that strong but if a survivor uses a stronger one it becomes quite hard to find them without scratch marks aiding you. Once had a legion match where I incidentally tunneled one guy because very thick mist + unhookers didn't sprint while he did...no idea why he kept being found every time.

  • @Darkwraith13 said:

@PigNRun how is that a flaw in my reasoning? They found me not on skill but on a flawed system. "So I made sure to stay close so it would keep me safe from the aura reading. But no problem she just has to listen to find me. This is what I find annoying. This player is being rewarded for finding me and I can't do anything about it."

Because if they changed it your way they wouldn't be able to find you not on skill but on a flawed system. Upgrading a meta perk that already has multiple uses to then counter 2 more killer perks would break the game further.

  • Besides the basement it's risking putting the portals in a future unusable area though. It's like how strong freddy can be at camping if he hooks you just past a generator that isn't complete or a hillbilly in an easy to straight line area.
