Pain Reliever did a video ranking most maps in a tier list, making them Killer sided, Survivor sided, or balanced, and found that most maps are Survivor sided. There were like 5 killer sided maps, 6-7 balanced maps, and like 15 survivor sided maps. Really hope Devs look into big offenders like Blood Lodge, Haddonfield, Disturbed Ward, and Mother's Dwelling.
Just don't forget that's an opinion, as I feel there's like minus 1-2 on both sides that belong in balanced. I do feel that maps are a huge issue in non meta killers having fun though. Half of those maps: get hit? you're now across the map + in a very safe near-infinite where 3 gens can now pop before you eat another one.

If you go round saying "let's nerf these 7 add-ons on a killer" that just indicates how much weaker you want Spirit to be without necessarily wanting a rework or tweak of her at base. In all you'll still end up complaining if these changes went ahead.
I personally think scratch marks should be delayed in phasing by 1 extra second then you would have plenty of opportunity to 'mind game' or make the killer anticipate your actions better to get you got.
The sweaty spirit players are annoying but if you waste their time they are not as good as many people make out. Running in the open is a dumb idea for any Killer.
That honestly would be nice to me. Scratch mark juking becomes even more useful (had a fixated use it against me last night for the first time). A lot of the changes people want will make it become "oh she's charging her phase, oh phase finished charging, oh she's there atm" if multiple of them go through at once.

I'm about 1/5 through the rift and it's only about 1/14 over...so all I can really reply to this is...Ok.

Anyone who bought him in December was robbed. A basically useless character. Legion mains are weird, but respectable.
...I'm even worse. I started in February and he wasn't my first unlock.

I know clown is the worst of the 3 but i want Adam and Jane so im thinking i might just buy the dlc. But with the battlepass and expensive cosmetics and the fact i have to buy Freddy and Pig idk maybe ill just start unlocking them slowly with shards too. Im scared to get Spirit either way because i don't want another Legion situation tho
She's safe for another few months at least...I also fell for the legion situation (as back then I didn't know about "fake chasing" and so on)

I don't have clown but was thinking about getting him soon since i got the shards (Its between him, Plague and spirit hit i kind of want Adam and Jane so i was thinking on waiting for them)
But everyone seems to agree hes trash which is weird because i never really see people talk about him when talking about the worst killers, Legion and Leatherface dominate that conversation. But i also still see people play Legion and leatherface....im not sure I've ever played verses a clown. Or plague either now that i think about it
I was looking forward to unlocking him before I did honestly, but I'd really choose either of your other 2 choices. Plague has got 2 great perks and a decent one to unlock as well.

Why do people still slug for the 4k when you can close the hatch now? I only do it if the 4th survivor was really annoying. Saves a ton of time and you get the 4k a lot anyways.
In this case it sounds like they'd really need it for even a safety pip, nevermind bbq stacks if they were running it...

Im pretty use to having games like THIS where I get instant DCes. Not sure if they should really be counting these as kills. I actually started putting these in a sidefolder on my PC...
Funniest part in that screenshot is one of them was equipped for the exact opposite

Scratch marks are delayed, remember? :D
By less than a second or two tops. Any loop that takes 3 seconds to go around normally is long enough for those to appear and a survivor to then react by quick vaulting thereby removing spirit's power from the equation altogether. I suppose the spirit could then use those scratch marks just to return, but then survivors would be able to then turn that around and not fast vault altogether and now she has a cooldown and on the wrong side of the pallet. Almost like the spirit becomes the guessing game with no bonuses to help out with it since she can't break pallets / vault in phasing...This sounds like a familiar situation

that would kill her, mainly the blue scratch mark idea
Yeah at that point might as well just remove her invisibility altogether. Just a few minutes of watching a survivor running away from you as a non spirit and you'll know how "scratch marks work"
-
Many black screens, totally.
-
I'm finding my killer queues faster than survivor honestly, and by a noticeable time
-
once again - that's how the bloodweb works. You get random perks from level 1-39 and then you get a teachable perk that unlocks for OTHER characters.

How does green medkit help? A green medkit with a Styptic will result in a useless medkit that can't heal.
I opened my game just to be sure (since wiki is still oudated) the styptic / syringe no longer reduce charges, so you can either heal or use the stypctic when needed.

Yeah but I got boil over from the shrine in summer but it randomly appeared for Jake, I don't understand this teachable thing
It's not jake's perk so he can get it at any level once you unlock it via kate or shrine
-
Teachables are assured only for the original character. After unlocking it for others, you have to hope to have it spawn as it would other perks.
-
All good. I fought against my first nurse since the nerf. I got hit once because a teammate led her directly into me, then kited her around preschool #5 75% of map, back into the preschool, then lost her in the boiler floor (not basement). After grabbing a medkit from the chest nearby she happened to hear me so I kited her around the outside twice, scratch marked downstairs and walked out door and along my jolly way. After that she basically gave up on me for the rest of the match. She ended up getting her first hook on final gen completion, someone saved that one and got downed, and that one gave up before we could even save them.

no idea, and Estimated Time (of) Arrival.

If you know 1 or more people are waiting for you to leave, it's perfectly fine to either hunt them down directly or let them do the save and down them quickly afterwards. The only camping most people hate is when you know everyone isn't nearby (or don't care) and just sit there waiting the 2 minutes for survivors to come.
-
I may be remembering wrong but I believe that 4% on each side actually only applied to mid-chase since it'll be harder to keep him centered while both of you are moving?

Yeah, that is what I did. Am I supposed to vault after them or something? I was in a chase with them before they ran up there, and I don't remember the chase ending at any point but I could be wrong.
Yep you have to go ring around the harvester to get a single hit after ~25 seconds. Hence why this "tech" is usually welcomed by most killers / survivors as if the killer is slow on the tech / misses the survivor can climb back over and jump to other side

I appreciate the suggestions, though it's not really an ongoing problem. It's just something I came across in a game recently, saw it mentioned here that there was a simple solution to it, and was wondering what the solution was, or what I should have done differently in that situation.
Could I ask for a bit more info? By your first comment it sounded like they had the opportunity to just safely slow vault over and over which meant where you weren't exactly chasing them which is why the windows won't close (it only starts doing so when they vault 3 times during a "chase"). IE it sounded like you ran between the "ramps" back and forth and they just climbed back and forth which won't lead to it as a survivor needs to sprint to have a chase start in most situations.

Still no reply on whether it's intended or not ><

Survivors are too used to being in total control at the majority of loops. Between 3rd person camera, most Killer's hight, and the red stain being seen through walls, Survivors are used to a plethora of information that keeps them from making mistakes. Spirit excels at loops and that's why Survivors hate her.
Honestly I feel like the complaint about spirit is the thing killers have to deal with when they normally do "mind games" they need to face away from the survivor ie denying themselves information on where the survivor is in order to hide their red light and hope the survivor isn't waiting in a perfectly safe spot that they can see it coming on either side.
Even the op mentions mind games as: one player is giving information that the other makes a mistake in using. What information do killers get when they're mind gaming? Footsteps (barely audible), grunts of pain if injured + running iron will (sound familiar?) and sight. If you're hiding your red light and chase music is loud enough that the killer's footsteps aren't audible: what information exactly are you giving besides "you're going either left or right in this jungle gym".
I feel mind gaming is using the LACK of information given to bring in a mistake which is exactly what spirit does by existing. Add in that many loops aren't even mind game-able for more normal killers and you get spirit 'overperforming'.

Yeah and we don't have the update either. I get that the switch is less powerful and needs more attention but it's still frustrating. I hope we do get the missing chapters for the next patch or their perks as common perks.
I was assuming the former and they're aiming to release those chapters once able. At least in bill's case it was only pc had him for a long while meanwhile here it's just switch that's behind (due to license issues I assume).
-
@CrowFoxy said:
Wait they didn't just make BBQ a general pool perk? Console survivors just could get Bill's perks til he released.
I assume they're aiming to get their last licensed killers licensed quickly so they can have you pay to unlock it :P
-
As far as I know the shrine only changed because of the update, which switch hasn't gotten. I know before the update ruin was on there because I was keeping an eye on the shrine for a friend.
-
Quite educational still to be honest - I always thought spine chill was basically the entire camera rofl.
-
"T2 is like a trapless trapper" is quite a funny comment - this situation can be created by a team of immersed saboteurs but michael has a faster vault in T2 over trapper so even in T2 he's a better than a trapless trapper
-
A killer whose 1/3 of his power could not be overcome besides "use your ears lul" vs trapper who has multiple perks to directly counter his power + an item / lower rarity item with addons.
hag also directly countered by multiple perks and items
And this is at all times for their powers

GF is a buggy killer? This is new to me. Why?
Most likely due to his reveal mechanics. He has to have 20% of his body in the middle of a survivor's camera to start being revealed. He can lean from cover so <20% is shown but he can still see survivors. If he ducks into cover for a split second it negates / restarts timer and there's a 'buffer' timer so if survivors see him for basically 1.2 seconds the remaining .3 causes him to be revealed (so that he can't use above to force exposes as easily)
-
@Peanits an unintended bug popping up again?

Guys calm down...
Spirit will probably just get a slightly longer time to charge her power, a fatigue similar to nurse after phasing, unable to see scratch marks anymore and borrow wraith’s bell to signal to survivors when she’s about to use her power. No biggie.
Wait a slightly longer charge time? sorry that's a game breaker
-
I thought it was because I was using spirit who walks a bit slower, as I've only tested it on 4.6s before that since the other 2 don't really do all out chasing
-
Meanwhile the things survivors like means killer has to put in more effort to get the same effect. Then when a killer want to do a relaxing match (using stronger addons/combos) it means the survivors would have to put more effort in than normal for the same effect...but then DC.
-
It's because it's the only downside of his power compared to the other 'stealth' killers. The addons can reduce it by nearly half if you stack the stronger ones together.
-
I believe it only counts the same generator as a single hit so you have to do 2 different generators / 3 pallets and so on.

They could never do nothing and profit, unless you vaulted into them. After the first week I never bought the fake phase, just run and force them to do the phase and chase at least then you have a shot.
Stand still and profit is right up there with, “if you have ears you can play spirit.”
Ill tell you survivor mains this, if it’s literally THAT EASY, let’s see you play games at rank 1 and get those easy 4 kills.
Yeah it's quite odd I got spirit a week ago and have a headset but many of my games aren't ending in 3 kills nevermind 4...

@humanbeing1704 said:
I've been getting alot of killers like that lately they don't put in any effort to actually try to stop me at loops or break the pallet and just try to bloodlust me
It's because it's more efficient than breaking the pallet: breaking the pallet gives you a window to move to the next loop or so on without taking a hit thereby doing nothing besides getting rid of a pallet. This means there's 0 pressure to the other 3 survivors still at this point and the chase is basically reset because now bloodlust timer is gone as well.
Basically it's become what's better: a chase that ends quickly with only 2-3 pallets dropped and maybe 1-2 gens popping soon or 3 gens have popped as you finally downed a survivor and have a small dead zone (for pallets).
Sadly the wiki doesn't have a time for pallet destruction but based on a guesstimate I'd say it's at least 2 seconds without fire up / brutal strength which gives you an overall 8 meter head start which takes even a fast killer (without any other bonuses) ~12 seconds to catch up again...more than enough for a new loop to restart
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
dear God what If the next tome is spirit
They answered on a stream that they won't do DLC killers too quickly and only the non-licensed so you still have at least 4 x 70 days more till we get a DLC killer
-
Therapy sessions for the clicking. The never ending clicking!
-
Yep - because she lunges for much longer time than normal.
-
@ASAPTurtle said:
Bloodlust needs to go it was necessary before the badham changes. Now it's not. With all these smaller loops, inconsistent windows, and no pallet vacuum, bloodlust isn't needed anymore. Not only that but badham is a lot more common now since there's 5 different variations. (And the first one is still the best)
Except there's still more than 5 of the first sets of maps: auto ones, corns, trappers which aren't reworked and often have multiple pallets in non-injured sprinting distance, or a safe long-distance loop (30 seconds+) they can reach with injured boost. BL is necessary to get more than 3 hits on these maps without going pallet dropped, destroy pallet, pallet dropped, destroy pallet, oh gens are done, adrenaline awayyyyyyy.
-
It is an important difference to make though - speed means their time spent lunging is shorter therefore reducing chase times.
-
@Hoodied said:
Lunges can be changed in length depending on how fast the killer is currently moving if I am correct, Feral Frenzy can show this really well
Just saying, I am aware about this weird "Freddy lunge hatred" fad that has started
And michael in tier 3, but those are specific increases in lunge time, not speed. IE nurse after a blink has a slightly shorter lunge time therefore shortening her distance. If a FF legion starts lunging from further away, they can hit because another killer's lunge would've ended by the time they got nearer to the survivor
-
@NinoV1 said:
Yeah sucks for a non trapping non teleporting killer.
One of the few maps trappers not bad on.
Last 2 times I happened to land on it as trapper I had a trap set at the top of the stairs. First person steps in it - no one else goes up there a second time assuming it's booby trapped altogether.
-
Because it costed/costs them more money to make / release than the original characters. (may actually be a stipulation of the licensing honestly) Alongside the normal 'creation/tuning' they have to pay license fees.

True, but it can still have the other situation, there's not only last-second switchers.
This'll remove the opportunity completely.
Yeah if anything I'd just want a cut in half lobby timer, 30s is more than enough time to do 6ish clicks based on survivors and wait for pings to show up and so on.
-
