  • I play on PS5:

Wraith is still pretty good. Hit and run is really working for him.

Legion works same as wraith. Hit and run. Mending. Slowdowns. Pretty easy to use.

Hag will take a little practice. More of a strategic killer. Like a spider build a web and take them down in the web. If they run outside your area of control let them.

Ghostface again pretty standard. Stealth hit and run killer. Catch them when they’re not paying attention. Really practice the marking from corners.

Wesker can apply a ton of pressure and is quite agile. Little tricky with the controller but I find once you realize where and how you can use your ability should start to enjoy him.

Demo. I just love hit utility and how “fast” his shred is. Once you learn the mind games demo is truly a monster.

  • This is happening to me as well. Playing killer and survivor. Nothing too crazy going on like as a killer I went to hook someone and it ended up freezing and disconnecting and as survivor I’d be cleansing a totem or be on the hook and bam I’ll get disconnected. I’ve called my internet company. I’ve checked the health of my router- it’s not on my end. I love how EU servers were having really bad lag issues with disconnects and as soon as they fix that now this is happening. I had a 6 hour ban because of this. @Mandy @Peanits I’m not the only person experiencing this, please bring it to someone’s attention.

  • @Mandy said:

The intention was to catch the players who'd levelled to 50 right up to the Prestige level, there's no further catch-up planned for those who levelled up to 40 I'm afraid.

Again… a ton of people myself included, just leveled to 40 to unlock the teachables. Why would we feel the need to level someone we didn’t intend to play all the way to 50? Also on top of this I did P3 Nancy and Steve and I hate that their “teachables” that I did unlock are always at level 1 for any new survivors just because the license was lost the system should still recognize who had those characters leveled (sorry I know this last part digressed from the actual topic).

Will there be a catch-up for the level 40+ characters?

Yeah this? I mainly leveled up my characters to 40 for their teachables and stopped. Focusing mainly on my “mains”. I think it’s odd they’re only doing level 50 or higher. @Mandy any way to bring this up with the developers? Because I have 17 survivors all at 40 before the 6.1.0 patch I unlocked their teachables.

  • I just hate that because a new killer is released and not many are used to his power that most - not all but most of my games have had camping and tunneling and slugging just because 1 survivor ran the killer and two gens popped. I was really looking forward to this Reassurance perk to punish these killers in this instance. I'm all for EGC camp to secure your one kill. I get it- but 3 gens left? Go patrol. Go and actually engage with the other members in the match instead of camping the hook and slugging everyone around it.

Yes it's working as intended. It states once per hooking. Not once per hook state.

I guess. Still feel like they should revert it to the 40's CD and allow us to reuse it. How else can we punish the facecamping? Thats just my opinion though.

  • I agree. This honestly should just be a permanent thing. It only activates if you’re the last one standing so it’s already very situational.

  • I still believe they should re-work breakdown to permanently destroy the first hook you’re unhooked from. Kind of like shattered hope for killers that would be breakdown for survivors.

  • Didn’t someone suggest once in the past that passive abilities for each survivor would make them more enjoyable?

Dwight: he’s a leader right? So maybe you can always see his aura when you play with a Dwight.

Meg: an athlete recovers faster from exhaustion? Or moves faster while running by like 2%?

Claudette: a botanist/ scientist passively has more efficiency at healing with medkits? Or just built-in passive healing efficiency.

Jake: he’s a lone wolf; a survivor. When near the killer 16m and not in a chase his survival instincts kick in. He’s quiet and leaves no blood trails. (Idk that could be a perk but maybe you guys will have better ideas).

thoughts? I think this would make survivors more relatable and fun

  • Is it running? Or a brisk jog? Exhaustion is just a word. Actual sprinters can sprint, and run on and off. (This is just examples not like the game is based on real life).

Old BNP's were in the game, old Anti-Hemorrhagic Syringe, old Moris, old DS, old Dying Light, old Legion, old Hatch, etc...

Just because it was in the game, doesn't mean it should be again

My suggestion is for a revert to an old mechanic since now chases are ended even faster unless you’re a veteran. New to casual players go down way too quickly and waste resources that a veteran player could reserve.

It’s not about knowing the layout. The east office has an infinite in there against most killers. Obviously Nurse and Blight can deal with it but a few can’t deal with it well.

Which is now kind of moot with the bloodlust buff. If you straight up juggernaut it you will catch and down then and get rid of the pallet in that room.

  • @ThatOneDemoPlayer said:

Sure, and Survivors spawn on Hooks with only a 1% to jump off

They had this exhaustion mechanic in the game before. No need for useless and facetious comments.

  • Garden of joy I’ll give you yes. That map needs a new look at. But RPD? I’ve never had an issue as survivor or killer on that map. Maybe it’s because I played too much RE2Remake before and I knew the layout. Maybe not. That map is not as bad as people always make it out to be. But again it’s still easier to end chases now far too easy. Coming from a 60% survivor 40% killer here.

  • @GannTM said:

That would be busted. There are other ways that are way healthier to balance solos.

How is that busted? It was a mechanic they initially had in the game for two years but became too strong with infinites. Most infinites have been removed.

  • I'm not going to pretend that I am a killer main but I do play killer pretty often. But honestly when playing killer as of late I will admit CoH can get out of hand at first. But then after I've downed a couple survivors I tend to watch where they keep running to during chases/ after they get away. If I hear the totem I snuff it immediately and deduce whose my culprit. I mostly main Hag so honestly I don't have to worry too much since survivors panic and forget about traps and I down them too quickly when I figure out what totems they're blessing non-stop.

If I were on the Series X or Series S, I would turn it on.

But I am at a massive disadvantage since I'm on the One X.

is it really that bad? I mean I had a PS4 pro when nemesis came out and yeah I remember it being pretty unplayable but after the patch I could play again. Then I got a ps5 but I don’t remember it being super terrible

  • You have cross play off which yeah I get it’s really annoying it takes that long to find a match. But with it on it would be instant. Double edge sword there my friend. Do you want a match instantly against PC players, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch? Or wait forever for your home station only to get potatoes that d/c to the slightest inconvenience?

  • I just want a RE2R Ada legendary for Jill and possibly another legendary for Leon maybe Wesker? A Birkin or Original legendary for nemesis would be pretty awesome too. But for sure I want Ada in the game.

  • Why do killers and survivors hate this map? I love it ! It’s a beautiful map and I love the layout. It’s not difficult to manipulate and I can only see it being hard to play as nurse, billy, or blight. I love it as survivor or killer. Just a beautiful map. Never understand why killers disconnect or survivors kill themselves on first hook.

  • I P3 both Jill and Leon during this event and got all perks unlocked and still only managed to get 100 cakes on both. I also P3 Nemesis and he has roughly 170 Cakes. P3 my hag and she’s sitting on 180 cakes. So killers were way easier to stack up on.

  • Does anyone know when the event will actually end on the 22nd? Like what time of day I’ll stop seeing cakes on the bloodweb and such?

  • I’ve been ok with Hag on the PS4 Pro. Getting 4Ks consistently and hardly notice any issues.

  • I am a survivor main. I admit that now. But I can understand where killers come from (specifically when I just want to do my killers tome challenges) and the choices they have to make. I think it’s just an endless cycle- survivors get sweaty killers so survivors play sweaty which in turn makes the killer play sweaty. I have been guilty of trying to have a calm killer game and the next thing I know all I see is red from the rage and the survivors are all dead.

  • I mean it literally just started around 17:00 Central Time. Queues were instant all day then bam 1700 rolls around and then I can’t get into a match at all. @Peanits

  • Anyone else today 7/7/21 experiencing really long queue times all of a sudden?

  • For survivors that loop I go with Spirit Fury, Enduring, Ruin, BBQC. Usually the combination of enduring and spirit fury ends the chases faster. Do you turn your power "on" while in a chase? Especially if you can LOS them. That way you can mess them up during their looping.

  • I always imagined a crow/ scarecrow killer. That could use the crows to get around the map kind of like the hag. You alert a crow and the killer can teleport to that location with no heartbeat for X amount of time. I like playing against jumpscare killers.

    :3

  • Maybe it would help if the 5th slot was more only the general perks that could go there. I.E. for Killers it would be, (Whispers, Bitter Mumur, Sloppy Butcher, etc...) and Survivors (Kindred, We'll Make It, Dark Sense, etc....) honesty as a solo survivor having kindred as a baseline would be so helpful. I'd probably always run it if I had a 5th slot open.

@Darkwraith13 "I want to punish this person for playing in that manner."

That's what you said. That's the kind of unhealthy attitude that divides this community. There's no way to give constructive criticism to that comment. All I can do is offer to let you have your wish and bleed out rather than be hooked.

I've gone up against killers that decided to slug all four survivors and let us bleed out. Why? As far as I know, the others didn't do anything to deserve it. I certainly didn't.

I'm tired of playing solo survivor and having killers attempt to punish me for the sins of other survivors. And I'm tired of playing nice as killer and having survivors attempt to punish me for the sins of other killers. It's not fun.

I don't run Ruin or any other gen slowing perks when I play killer. Slugging is how I can slow the game down without tunneling survivors out of the game. I don't like slugging, I know it's not fun for survivors, but that's the mechanic I have at my disposal.

For a while I ran DS, Unbreakable, Tenacity, and Flip Flop as survivor. That's how I countered slugging. IW is not meant to counter slugging, it's meant to counter constantly giving away your location with grunts of pain while you're injured, and it works great for that.

Thank you this was much more insightful.

  • @S_Panda if that is how you feel. Also I hardly see anyone other than myself and a few odd ducks run this perk. I see Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, and Adrenaline far more as the "meta". Your two comments "I suppose to counter slugging you could just not get downed I suppose too." & "Feedback and constructive criticism = wholeheartedly agreeing with buffing a meta perk." these offer nothing in regards to being helpful. They're glib and you sound like a dog barking just to make noise.

  • @TragicSolitude how is this comment helpful at all? I'm looking for feedback and constructive criticism. Save the books I feel like they're not helping anyways.

  • @Lufanati what right do you have to call my opinion pathetic? There are plenty of people on here that would agree that this play style is annoying. The killer is wasting my time and the other survivors time as well by playing this way. Especially when they're forcing me to die slowly to secure a 4 kill. I run Tenacity over Unbreakable that's just my preference. So please do not diminish my thoughts and feelings, and tell me what to use. All I am saying is IW should affect grunts of pain while in the dying state.

  • @Volfawott because I want to punish this person for playing in that manner. I want them to lose me. I want them to search desperately to find me before I die so they cannot get the points for the sacrifice on hook.

  • @PigNRun how is that a flaw in my reasoning? They found me not on skill but on a flawed system. "So I made sure to stay close so it would keep me safe from the aura reading. But no problem she just has to listen to find me. This is what I find annoying. This player is being rewarded for finding me and I can't do anything about it."

  • @Peanits said:

But then anyone who's not using BBQ or Deerstalker has no way to tell where you are unless they comb every single inch of the map looking for the pickup prompt. You can't expect everyone to run a perk for that just in case. I would say that in this instance, you'd be better off running Unbreakable to let you get back up.

Fair @Peanits. Hence why it would be a punishment. If you choose to leave me on the ground IRL I am crawling away. I will make no noise to spite you the satisfaction of not taking the opportunity to end me. I have always run Iron Will, Spine Chill, Tenacity, and Dead Hard. We can argue that so and so wasn't using Deerstalker or BBQ&C but that's just a childish way to think about it. The game has been out for a while. People are relatively intelligent enough to do the research on what perks are the best. 93% of killer games are with BBQ&C (in my experience on PS4) so they know the tricks of how to leave people on the ground and exploit using this aura reading to find their prey. Even if they can't find them where they thought they were all they have to do is rely on the grunts of pain. Again if this was IRL I would be silent. I would not want the killer to find me even if I was in pain. My "Iron Will" would suppress my pain and fear to stay quiet. So if we can't defend against that (aura reading) in the "dying state" then we really should be able to have a counter in another way via not making noise in the "dying-state." FlipFlop is impractical in the sense that what if the killer has Iron Grasp in combination with Agitation? Or better yet in my own experience there are just so many hooks too close together? I am a solo survivor. I don't play with anyone so I can't coordinate with my "team-mates" to sabotage hooks.

  • What I find annoying is that I like immersive but helpful gameplay and I hate when and here is an example, a nurse goes around attacking one after another until everyone is on the ground. This nurse is relying on BBQ&C to find me. But little does she know I was also running tenacity. So I made sure to stay close so it would keep me safe from the aura reading. But no problem she just has to listen to find me. This is what I find annoying. This player is being rewarded for finding me and I can't do anything about it. Not every person slugs. But most people will leave you on the ground to find the last survivor to deny them the hatch. IW should take away all noise what do you and the development team think @Peanits? I mean calm spirit has two functions you don't scream, and you don't alert crows. Why can't IW also do the same in the sense of you don't make grunts of pain at any time? Downed or running around.

  • It honestly doesn't need to be nerfed. You have Spine Chill which can tell you she's coming. You have OoO which is just a double edged sword there. You also have your own ears, honestly you can hear her foot-steps. Especially when's she's trying to align herself to grab you off a totem, or generator, etc. I had a spirit on PS4 tonight rage quit because I kept touching her totem on and off and I would hear her try and get up behind me and at the last second I'd get off an run away.

  • I mean.... they're at the area so.... you can't just ignore them.

  • Yep been happening to me as well. Only killer queue not survivor.

  • I only liked the first season. The rest were meh.

  • Could be the killer from the first season of Slasher.

  • This happens to me frequently on the PS4. Once I close the game and reset it I don't see it again for awhile.

  • Yeah played GF yesterday (PS4 here) and after this hot fix a Nea was hiding behind boxes ( I couldn't see or stalk her) revealed me no problem. It's a little too quick now. I play survivor and I play killer and I feel that its not in a balanced place at the moment from either side.

  • I lost progress once. Emailed the team and they just gave my account a ton of BP to catch up again.
