I'm not sure, I'll tell you soontm.
(Only if the reviews are good) -
They'd better fix their game not to allow that much toxicity, and put actual anti-bot system on their forums rather than putting bandaids like they do, and relying on "mods" to clean the mess everyday.
This game wouldn't need as many mods if it wasn't a complete mess to start with.
-
An add-on to "eventually" counter a perk is pretty fine.
-
It's not happening. 95% of cases it will simply get you hit because you cannot move efficiently while flashing and she will just use the opportunity to teleport and hit you.
-
Wow, people are DISCUSSING on a forum. What a shame.
Guess they should just "STFU", stop posting, play the game or leave, right ?
######### opinions and feedbacks after all, who needs that. -
Bloodlust shouldn't be hit as long as the maps are what they are.
The best thing that could happen would be, in the current state, is to have BL3 to get removed not to be able to cheese hits with it, but not to touch BL1/2, and evnetually slightly reduce to cooldown before reaching it. (like 12-13s, instead of 15) -
Body blocking is allright.
There's usually enough hooks to manage, it forces everyone to commit to usually get a save, which is a huge time investiment rather than doing gens, especially since it will force survivors to heal themselves.DS is way more problematic when it comes to this issue.

Killers predicted that it´s going to be the same as Howling Grounds and SURPRISE! It´s exactly as Howling Grounds!Survivors sabotaging and blocking the special hooks, which are surprisingly always at the other end of the map. Unless i equip Agitation and Iron Grip, most of the survivors will wiggle free, when i try to hook them a mile away from where i downed them.
I understand every killer who camps the event gens. I don´t camp neither the gens, nor the hooked survivors. I still get body blocked and sabotaged. Oh and 3-4 DS really bring a lot of joy for the killer!
Haven´t the devs learned from Howling Grounds? Do you really think this is an enjoyable experience for everyone?
Or is it (again) only about the survivors fun?Took me 2hours30mins to get the 50 hooks. (11 games total)
Only 1 claudette tried to Sabo, and failed miserably. -
The event is mostly full of suiciding survivors that rush into killers to try to farm, and usually get killed under 2mins in the game.
-
First off, as much as I despise the perk, it would totally break insidious's purpose.
Second, Thrill of the hunt is WAY inferior to Kindred, especially if you don't play with Hex Perks. -
@PigNRun said:
Well, and if the killer is hard camping, what is stopping survivors from doing both totems and generators? Plenty enough time for everything. You cannot do it if he catches someone early, especially if he has Ruin.
5 totems + 5 gens is just not doable within' 2mins as 3 players. -

As soon as you're fine with the game, it's good.
Here's my advice, on the long run :
Just consider every single survivor as an offender. If they don't do it, it's mostly because they do not have the skill level just yet to feel confident to do it.Basically, they're just cattle and you have no reasons to go easy on them if you don't feel like it, because even if you do, it will very likely go unnoticed and you'll get insulted/flamed whatever happens.
Just rekt them if you can, lose if you cannot, and throw a "gg wp" in the endgame chat and leave the lobby without trying to discuss. It will save you a lot of time, and brain cells.Well, that's not a very healthy way to look at things.
@ OP, as long as you had fun! It's a video game! Fun is what matters.
That's the healthiest way considering the game is designed to be toxic, and revolving around abuse rather than fairplay.

I still dont understand why people feel this way.. there was a post in a Facebook community a guy thought that the killer shouldn't be able to turn while lunging....... it blows my mind.It has been one of the nerfs for killers that have been tested back then.
Even devs themselves considered it to be too much.
(Yes, it nearly happened live lol) -
The point of NOED is to punish genrushing.
And yes, genrushing can happens even if you don't camp.
The main issue with NOED is, if a survivor gets caught early and hardcamped, the killer can easily earn 2 kills by usually grabbing another one with NOED as the gates are getting opened. This scenario is indeed, rather annoying and problematic, and should be looked.
About DS : it's bad in every single scenarios. It's just unfun and poorly designed.
-
The medium vault has been purposely introduced to handicap survivors.
It used not to even exist back then. They actually added objects and such in front of several vaults to force survivors to medium vault through it rather than fast vault (example Ironworks vault)It's, intended, and it's okay like that.
-
Would create a lot of collision issues, and it would simply allow people to walk through killers using perks such as Dead Hard and such. Would be extra annoying considering the FOV of killers, especially as Huntress/Billy and such.

Hey people of the fog!
I started playing killer since I got bored of survivor and I was thinking about perk combinations for the Hag.
Could you all give me some builds I could use?Ruin and Monitor&Abuse are the two mandatory perks on Hag.
Then, you can swap it up depending on your playstyle.
I used to play MYC. Now I dropped it, might get it again with Cicada, but I found it rather unreliant.
Nurse's calling is always great to have, especially with such a reduced terror radius.
NOED is super strong, especially since people tend to try to genrush to get out of sticky situations, and it can turn any well placed trap into an insta-down if triggered.
BBQ & Chili can have some uses, I suppose. I wouldn't use it tho.My personal build :
Ruin, M&A, NOED, Nurse's calling.
I get consistent 3 to 4k at rank 1, usually double pips. -

Half of my rounds were people throwing themselves at the killer, hoping he won't kill them.
Spoiler alert : he did. -
Seems like someone didn't understand that this game lives over abuse and toxicity.
Not sure how many signs you need. Even the damn game director is a ######### meme and troll.
"Go play ######### Civilization". -
I'll give a hint to whoever thinks the trap placement for hag players is random :
SPOILER ALERT : It's not.The camera flip is on PURPOSE and has very likely been tested in KYF, if you play against a proper Hag. It has NOTHING to do with LUCK.
Optimal trap placements have been researched and found. The whole point of playing Hag is to make ennemie to think it's random, so they don't understand you actually planned what was gonna happen, and from that, they don't manage to plan up a strategy/understand yours, and just keep running brainlessly to their death.
The usual way to put traps is either to force the camera away from the loop, to end up in a blocking situation, or in a disturbing enough situation to actually turn most of the trap triggering situations into a HIT.
It doesn't require that much skill, indeed, but it requires KNOWLEDGE, prediction, planning your moves in advance and other similar things most survivors lack :
STRATEGY
The best way to win as Hag, is them not to understand how and why they lost. Because survivors can actually gain control over you playing Hag if they play accordingly. Tho, if they just run around like they do against any other killers, they're bound to be hooked/camped in a basement and to kill themselves and their teammates in the process.
-
Hag has always been very powerful.
People just kept repeating she was weak for some reasons, even tho 99% of players didn't play more than 1 or 2 rounds of her since her release.Should have realized earlier what you asked for I guess, because it seems like it's gonna stay.

UPDATE: I have “a friend” that tried this setup (def not me, not one bit) and “he” said that it was devastating. “He” got a 4K in rank 1 on Xbox (still totally not me who did this). Still with 2 gens to spare, despite Ruin being exposed rapidly. “He” would reccomend A1 if it weren’t a bug, because abuse of bugs is wrong >:(
Discaimer: Once again this is totally not me who did this, it was totally a friend that I totally did not make up to mask the fact that I did this, because I didn’t do that, that would be unfair. You cannot prove that I did this in anyway and once again I will deny any accusations.
You know, bans can also be issued via common sense.
Whatever you claim, you clearly admitted using a bug there.Do'nt worry too much tho, doubt you'll get banned anyway, devs said they don't ban for it.

Can't wait for killers last second swapping.
-
I find it equally easy to pip for both roles.
And I'm a better at killer than survivor. -

Or they could make the shrine to have more perks and to be more affordable.
Especially since skins are now out and probably make way more money than DLCs. -

Yes, like 70% of killer perks. (And around the same for survivor perks)This. It almost seems like they wanted every Killer and Survivor to have at least one complete trash tier in the dumpster perk. Prove Thyself, Third Seal, No Mither (hardmode perk should at least give bloodpoints, imho), Beasts of Prey, Left Behind, etc.
Leatherface was lucky, three good perks.
Knock out could actually use a buff considering they want to give as many info as SWF to solo players. And KO is greatly diminished by the power of the mighty voice com.
Which is why KO ain't meta, and will probably never be. -

Happens quite oftenly. They just add DS + a flashlight and voice com on top of it, to make yourself a M1 machine. You can still work it up tho, if the survivor is terrible.

I just play "a last game with Billy", kill all of them mercilessly and switch game.
-
The toxicity is one of the pillar of that game.
Either embrace it, endure it, or find your way on Civilization that is undoubtedly a better game (especially on the toxic part) -
Could be decent, tho, as a matter of fact, the Third Seal is unnefficient, Blindness add-ons are usually short, and since they want to expand solo player's reading closer to SWF's ones, I doubt it's gonna happen.
Yet another interesting mecanic left for dead, along with a lot of them (RIP Sabo)
-
Would have prefered him to have a stronger base kit and a weaker ultra-rare add-ons, rather than the current state, honestly.

If only hex perks were viable tho.I can't even understand why hex perks still exist because they are pointless. They are too ineffective, as a survivor I still work through Ruin and pop the gens. I let the weak minded look for the totem.
Though, I think for the Third Seal and Devour Hope, they should work like NoED and only activate as a hex when the perks activates. Imagine how much of a buff to Devour that'd be?
As long as you make a hex perks that is meant to stay for more than a few seconds in the game, and to "get stacks over the time", it's just a bad idea anyway. Mostly because, at some point, you need to hook people in order to win. And when you hook people, you usually take more than 16s to just carry and get through the animation, which is enough for anyone to cleanse your totem even if you closely guard it, in most cases.
If NoED didn't exist, then they probably wouldn't have such a hard time coming up with a rework.
I doubt they're aware that much.
Recently (2 days ago), I've seen a dev saying that using Insidious to guard totems was a good option.
That's how clueless these guys are. -

Most people that reach rank 1 are just people using cheeses.
Aka survivors playing in squad with full SB/DS, and killers using nurse, or killers with ultra-rare add-ons + mori, and that just ultra camp once in game. It's mostly due to the fact that there's simply no reasons whatsoever not to use these specific perks/items if you get enough BP to sustain it.

Yet one more reason to allow the obsession to survive. I just dislike the whole system of "Hey, you're obsession, so you're allowed to live longer because reasons" on every obsession perks except for Dying Light.Dying Light :
Yet another "Hey, you're obsession, so you got to live", no thanks.because perks that encourage tunneling are awful for gameplay.
I'm not sure why you think these version will discourage tunneling.
This Dying Light will just make the killer to tunnel the obsession to hook it first, then camp it to death to full exploit the debuff. The limitations (having to hook obsession first) makes the perk even weaker and more situational, and not really worth using since the obsession has 90% chance to have DS, and chasing a DS user first usually mean an extended chase, which is very oftenly a game losing gamble.
This PWYF doesn't reduce tunneling either. Once the obsession is on the hook, it means you downed it and lost all of your stacks, and I doubt letting it to heal to hit it and get more stacks to be a viable option to win a round. You'd better simply kill it at this point, since having a kill is still superior to a "potential buff".
The gameplay itself encourage tunneling and eventually, camping, mostly due to the chase length compared to the generator repair speed.

Hell no.There are two kinds of Nurse mains in this world.
One that tries to be objective and another that reflects the majority of this forum just for fun?
I agree with OP, but I still think the devs need to adjust some other things first before their planned changes come to the live build.
PTBs not out.
The whole point of the PTB is to test, adjust, and make a conclusion of what to release to live and what not.
As a matter of fact tho :
People do not truly test on the PTB.
The PTB mostly goes down under a few days because it has no incencitive.
People just exploit the fact they don't lose items and add-ons to play full try hard on the PTB. (Example, full BNP in the clown PTB, or Nurse with Ebony Mori and full add-ons even tho none of these have been changed in the patch.)
Aaaaand finally, and not the least, most changes just go live as THEY wanted them, not as PEOPLE wanted them. Then why even have communication with the community if they just do whatever they want? I mostly agree with you but then you look at what happened with the Hatch in the last PTB and Survivor's bitched so much about it that the devs pussied out.
Mostly for people to test bugs, having some feedback on forums eventually to see if a riot is gonna come or not and such. It doesn't actually cost much to them to get that PTB on.

I've never seen it to happen even ONCE in 2 years. It only started coming up for me in this patch hence why I brought up the mandatory spin during the drop animation, I think the weird activation regions might have introduced a new bug. So there's a lot more delay from the survivor hitting the action and it ending. That or the infamous vacuum prevented us from seeing it before- good riddance lol. If you want a clip I can go look for it tonight, I think I have one or two saved. If not, my bad.
It doesn't matter much, I'm no dev anyway, and I doubt my opinion will matter that much in that regard since they tend to simply ignore feedbacks when it comes to small tweaks anyway. Don't stress it out about the clip.
Thanks for the discussion and feedback, in any case.
-
If you hit a survivor in a 2mins timeframe after they get unhooked, they'll call camping and tunneling, basically.
I just usually say "Yeah, so what ? You died, that's the purpose of this game. Want easier rounds ? rank down." -
@Panduh said:
The point being that there are moments where bad or just toxic survivors do it anyway, and when the hookee gets punished for it, it's very unfair and feels bad, especially considering the killer made the effort to not hit the farming rescuer when the rescuer would either get pulled off or not receive the speed burst due to being rooted in the unhook animation.Yup, it's pretty bad. Tho it's not quite the killer's fault if tunneling and punishing unsafe unhooks is one of the best way to win in this game, honestly. In that case, do you need to actually give more impact to the killer, or to the toxic rescuer ? Devs made their choice, seemingly. In any case, people will just adapt and slap the rescued as he starts moving, I guess, which won't change much.
My point about map discussion is I never see discussion about adding longer, more, or new LOS breakers, just the requests to make looping and pallets appear less, which is reasonable- but why stop there, instead of making maps and game play with more interesting with mind games and -actual- jukes, which we seem to be on the same page about. Maybe not never I suppose, but far less common. I did visit the steam forums often too.
It used to happen very often. But most people lost hope of a map rework, since all these devs can manage to do, honestly, is usually to move crates and eventually make them slightly taller (which still allow full vision for survivors and to be fairly visible for killers). THe only exception being the new shelter woods and some more tall rocks, added recently.
Considering I have asked every time about the teleporting back and forward, and every time has been answered back with "it happened on my screen too" it's more than just latency, even if latency is partially at fault. Donno what the video has to do with "my pallet stuns" considering I'm speaking of a bug, being hit through them while getting a stun. Kinda off topic if you ask me. I'm not opposed to advocating for no stun collision on the side survivors threw it down from, however. You act is if I enjoy bugs that effect killers. Lets get together, spam the Q&A videos, Bug reports, and emails about it! It's good that you have a video for it.
I've never seen it to happen even ONCE in 2 years.
When I read some people, I'm not even sure we play the same game, honestly.
I encounter a lot of bugs on a daily basis, but the survivor pallet bugs ? never ever. Sometimes, I just feel like I shouldn't have been hit by a killer. To make sure, I just use Nvidia Geforce experience replay feature and check, and I notice I just dropped it too late, everytime.
I've actually seen some weird posts and videos about people getting hit "through" pallets. Mostly looked like Latency in most cases. Whatever tho I guess, as long as the change ain't too visible. Pallets (and survivors) are strong enough in the current state. -
He's playable now. By playable, I mean less tedious.
Competitive at high ranks tho ? Meh, not that much.
