So what there aren't many god nurses. YOU WON'T BEAT A GOD NURSE OR A GOD BLIGHT... DEAL WITH IT. You got 100 other garbage killers to deal with. Nurse is at the top 1% for a reason... She controls the match. Survivors cry any time they don't control everything. Nurse gets stomped in comp which still shows she's not scary.
Maybe i will lose to a god blight, but he would still have to go through the mechanics that survs have in chase like PALLETS, or WINDOWS or FLOOR DIFFERENCE.
And Even if there were 100 or 10000 or a million killers that are garbage it does not change the problems with nurse. I was never against in buffing weak killers like trappers.
"She controls the match"
EXACTLY, she has so little counterplay compared to anyone else because her power literally bypass anything the surv can use in a normal chase situation, plus the blink attack proc'ing perks like starstruck, jolt, sloppy, NOED makes it even worse. That leaves you with 99% of the duration of chases being defined by how well she uses her blinks rather than anything a surv can hope to do.
"Nurses gets stomped in comp"
That is not true, there are several players with high kill streak that have clearly faced comps and won anyway. And even if what you said was true, it should not be a REQUIREMENT for me to have 3 COMP SWAT SQUAD with me anytime i play because one killer is clearly stronger than the rest.
And if i should, then bhvr should create 'SWF MODE' and lock nurse behind it so she stops murdering soloQ players when she clearly is not balanced around them.

Starstruck Nurse is only effective in low and mid MMR. If you find yourself decimated in 3 minutes with no come back consider yourself average and focus on improving your playstyle. I am nothing better than that as a survivor myself.
When I play as a Nurse I can assure starstruck is not the way to go at high MMR. Because people are gonna split on the farest gens and rescue last minute. You won't make the same value. At least not the build you described.
To be fair, since it may become very oppressive it is worth having concerns about it being "too strong" but my point is: it shouldn't become insufferable.
I am average yes, but understand that low MMR, mid MMR, or high mmr means nothing in soloQ.
I made a thread some time ago, where i was constantly matched against 6k, 8k nurses even if i am losing constantly against them.
Even if i can up my playstyle, i really depend on the other 3 to still be able to last against her in chase. And i cant really blame them if they dont last 20sec, as the main counterplays to nurse are laughable (the "be unpredictable" and "break LOS").

I believe you are describing a cool killer to play with (and against).
I personally always had fun playing against nurses. When I got bullied I appreciated how good was the other person and the match ended rather quickly.
We need to be able to call on us when things don't work.
When I play as a Nurse I am able to get some people that would loop me for a while with other killers, but that's just because they are bad at looping the Nurse. I never started a match thinking I would win 100% or even close to that. People should stop giving up calling nerfs and so on. Most of the reason why you loose its you (your team).
Maybe you could have fun with nurse, my fun in nurse games disappears when in 3 min everyone is downed because we are on a small map and the nurse brings agi-starstruck.
Truth is, even in the matches where my teammates dont DC or kill themselves on hook, almost everytime it still is a 4k for nurse. I have escaped once a few days ago after a four month losing streak.

It would be great to trade with friends, imagine:
Me: I have this anniversary flashlight, what can you give me
Friend: 5 brown toolboxes
Me: wait what, NO
Friend: 5 brown toolboxes + 2 instructions addon
Me: say no more

I don't know about that as I m farely average ahah I just would like people to chill with these nerfs calls...
The problem is that nurse plays so different to any other killer, and denies most mechanics surv have while looping. Combined with her blink attack proc ing starstruck, jolt, sloppy, and the terrible, horrendous MMR that matches you with god nurse after god nurse, it is hard not to hate this killer.

In this instance that would be a bug. Being healthy while broken should not be possible.
If broken status makes you unable to heal and you can't heal a healthy survivor
You could say that being healthy makes you 'broken'
dont ban me

That last great skill you made, you should just have settled with a good one :P
But in all seriousness: this is why we should have a life update on our tome challenges and emblem points in the hud.
Especially in those "Hide for 45sec close to the killer without being caught, all in the same trial" type of challenges
-
Prove gives you 15% repair boost per surv working on the gen.
Only one prove can be active at the same gen.

I feel your pain, I feel bad for the person that is slugged which is why I almost always hook them anyway - at my own expense. But that's bullshit. I played well, why should I be punished? People in this thread are talking as if I'm the one who is wasting peoples time. THE GAME is wasting your time, that's why I'M trying to change it.
Whenever you slug for the 4k, you are purposely delaying the game because you dont want to give the 4th surv the slight chance of escaping through hatch.
It is not as if it was an accident that you happen to slug or you were forced to.
If you slug for the 4k, then you are on the same ground as those surv hiding you are ranting upon.

Nice. Looks like it was an intense game lol
It was, the agi-starstruck covered most of the map so we were exposed everytime someone was picked.
I escaped injured with 2 hooks.
-
yeah, it sucks how even if you know the gen you are working has been eruption-kicked you cant do anything.
The only counter i can think of is if you happen to run empathy with your build so you can try to guess by the aura movements of the injured surv the moment he is going to get downed. But even so is not consistent at all.
-
i think i have seen the bonus on killers two times only, and it was 25%.

You can do it I promise! Its definitely tricky to learn but possible, iv been a solo survivor for so many years now but you can run nurse for a decent amount of time when you learn.
Obviously you cant do it easily or every chase and if you could itd be to easy and shed be so very weak, shes just a killer that is most different to counter so it's much harder to adept.
And I'm not sure, I'll wait to hear from a dev before I believe that just because it's such a impactful thing
But I believe in you getting better and kicking nurse behind from one solo to another!
Today i finally escaped and won against nurse after four months.
I am happy🙂

But hit boxes go both ways, ones that should hit don't because a bush is suddenly a giant square, or that car bonnet i can't actually put my arm over and throw, or that one that did land but lag worked for you. Or pre "fix" dead hard when the hatchet would hit you in the back but dead hard saved you.
So don't complain about hatchet's sometimes you eat sometimes you're eaten.
Wow, you actually carry with you a whole essay in case someone questions huntress ' hatchets hitbox

Nurse is a great killer, fun to play and play against. I wish I was better with her than I am but I'm too lazy to really put the time in anymore so a couple of mediocre Nurse games is usually all I can muster.
I get it... you don't like Nurse and that means she has to be ruined for everyone because you don't like it.
Sadly this topic is the same kind of mentality that leads to review bombing and other such egregious ways of manipulating what appears to be public opinion but is just personal opinion gone mad.
Fun to play against? No, truly no.
Maybe you are some extremely skilled survivor who can actually last more than 25-30 sec against her, but the average soloQ player gets destroyed by her and this difference grows more and more with the horrible MMR that can match you with people with 10x your hours.
She literally should wear a tag saying "Play against only if you are a strong swf"
(Not asking for her to be ruined though)
-
The devs would probably buff her.

What is lag switching?

Yesterday i died to a reverse trap.
It is the worst when you got three attempts wrong and the pig is waiting for you at the remaining two stations.
-
In your wildest dream a survivor has 50% escape rate
-
For a perk that:
- Only works once
- Deactivates in end game
- Requires you to be unhooked and grabbed in a specific time period
- Is cancelled by everything
All this restrictions just for 3 sec stun? I dont think is fine.

I would not say someone aims a gun at me, missing a shoot and then I say "Im so good at dodging". Nope, its because the gunner isnt skilled enough.
This is the same case when vs Nurse. You dont dodge her, she misses you.
You know, i was thinking the exact same analogy. Imagine if i am asking someone what to do if someone points a gun on me and the other says:
"Easy, you can look at the barrel of the gun and start dodging bullets" or
"Well, why dont you try to catch the bullets mid-air?"

Unpredictable pathing
LOS blockers
Gen rush
Unpredictable pathing and LOS break means nothing to a good nurse. Relies more on the nurse being bad at blinking than you being unpredictable/puttig walls against them.
Gen rush should not be considered counter, as you cant expect every game to be matched with a gen rushing focused team. And thats without considering the nurse having pain res, deadlock, eruption, etc
-
This game doesnt need stronger gen regressing perks
-
In the same way i am constantly being matched against 4kh, 6.2kh and 8.2kh nurses even though i have 800h and my teammates usually are from 500-1500h
-
Yeah, we should totally ban all survivors in the playerbase.

Well the stats are awful anyway, no doubt if it was hooks shed be higher up in them even if you include all mmrs. But the fact is, and this goes for alot of killers especially in solo Q there are just teammates that hinder you.
You'll be surprised how often people arent doing gens, don't understand counters or perks and will often give up. No doubt nurse is strong but she is beatable it just requires your team to play and have an understanding and it's pretty smooth sailing as not all nurses are gods.
You're more likely to run into a swf you could never beat than a nurse especially the higher mmr you go.
As for the DCs I'm pretty sure a DC doesnt make the whole game void. As far as I know only the DC player is void, so they dont count while the other 3 will. Obviously cant be 100% but every time I ask a dev I dont get a reply and the only reply I do get is "DCs are void and dont count as a kill" which isnt really helpful understanding the other players
If it were any other killer, i may agree that it could be my teammates fault, but the truth is i also cant loop nurse for more than 20sec. It is not a situation of me looping for a certain amount time and my team doing nothing.
The problem is, i play alone dbd, most my friends left with 6.1.0 so i cant form a coordinated swf to be prepared against a possible nurse match up so my games are usually a gamble. Should i get a killer i can loop and have a chance of winning, or i get nurse.
From what i heard about DCs, i think the whole match does not count in terms of stats, because if one DCs early in any games the other three are likely to die almost certainly.

@Marc_123 said:
She is fine as you see in the stats. So no problem there.
For all of my games - when she is new or bad - and you get good teammates there is a chance.
Half decent Nurses mostly get us.
I sometimes manage some good jukes, but again, then it is not a very good Nurse.
A good Nurse slaughters us in most games often at 4-5 gens left.
Do you actually get new or bad nurses?
Lucky you
-
i dont know, i truly hate getting matched against nurse, but i would still play the game normally unhooking and everything.
I still have hope that someone of my random teammates can actually loop her for more than 15-20 sec because i cant.
@EntitySpawn said:
Damn can you imagine being your friend...
I'd hate to choose to play with someone and they act so childish and entitled and when I'm actually playing the game you decide to not even try...
Like if I'm getting camped do gens...
It's funny though, so many people give up verse nurse and dont try yet she still has a low kill rate, imagine if we PLAYED THE GAME
i dont know how nurse can possibly have that 52% kill rate, every single game i have played against nurse in the past 4-5 month have always ended with 4k (Mainly because i play SoloQ only and for some reason every single nurse player i get has like 3k-4k hours minimum and plays like they were in dbd World Cup).
The only explanation i can think of that low of kill rate if because people can get so frustrated playing against her that they DC and make that matches not count in the total stats.

this was today, another day another nurse

@Saitamfed said:
Nurse does have counterplays... double walls, breaking LOS. And before anything, rocks and trees do exist, don't think in breaking LOS means only a structure... the second blink is for correction, yes, but it's also way shorter than the first one and you don't really have a lot of time to aim...
Yes, Nurse's is kind of map dependant BUT all killers are somehow capable of doing that, a skilled killer who knows how to hide the red stain will catch you off-guard in a loop... every killer has its counters, Nurse is one of the hardest killers to counter but if you are willing, you can know how to do it, I mean, I've countered nurse back when she had five blinks...
But these "counterplays" you say are the most unreliable and niche plays you could possibly get. Maybe you dodge her once in a LOS break, she will inmediately know what you will do next.
And even if you could consistently find LOS break and double walls, that is an extremely restricting way of countering a killer, and even so it will still relies on the nurse being bad than the surv being skilled.
The other strongest killers out there, like blight, artist with their respective strong powers still how to respect pallets and windows. It makes no sense that nurse can bypass all these mechanics.
She should have a sign over her head saying "play with a strong swf or die".
-
Let me tell you something, all these counterplay tips that people are writing are truly nonsense.
Break Los? If she is decent with one blink she will pass through the wall and the 2nd will hit you.
Mindgame? Even if you could dodge one or two times, you are probably not going to get more than 30 sec in chase.
The truth is the only REAL counterplay is the nurse being bad with their blink, it's the same as having no counterplay at all.
There is no skill from the survivor side that help you against her, you just hope the one using nurse is not good and will testing and screwing their blink over.

You can't get better on a game that is designed for you to lose 100%. If you watched the video you would understand how it feels Killer High MMR.
"You cant get better on a game that is designed for you to lose 100%".
I couldnt agree more with you.
This is what happens to me every time i get matched against a +3k nurse and get stomped effortesly.
But you know how it is.
You flip a coin, you get a normal game with chance of escaping/4k.
You flip again, you get nurse/SWF.
-
I would like for challenges like this that are somewhat situational to be at the side of tome, not blocking like half the challenges if you do it as surv
-
I did it against a nurse, pallet stun her twice.
Yes, i cant believe it either
-
Nerf pig!

Now really, i will always say to wait until base unbreakable actually gets to live servers. For me, it is going to be nerfed, tweaked a lot before we are able to see it in play.

Please buff killers.
1) Make gen 100 sec
2) Nerf MedKits and Boons ( make that you can apply boon only once per tottem )
3) Give us old corrupt intervention basekit
No, please no.
Imagine playing the game with 100sec gens.
Imagine killers with call of brine, overcharge, eruption, pain res, deadlock, gift of pain, pentimento playing with 100sec gens.
I would die of old age before i get a single gen done.
