Out of curiosity. Did anyone from your team give up? I mean, there are videos of nurse players where people disconnected the moment they hear her teleport. Perk and addon less nurse players btw.
Is nurse strong in the right hands? Yes
Is she the unstoppable killing machine everyone seems to claim? No
Is it possible to win against a good nurse? Absolutely. Even more for SWF players which undoubtly have a significantly higher escape rate than solos.
Some matches i had dc, some suicide on hook and some were played normally, but i won none in a while.
The only time i can remember i escaped in a nurse game was like four month ago, that a played in the 13th of the month were the ranks were reset so the nurse was new.
Said that, for me she do is an unstoppable killing machine in any decent hands.
The only thing i can consider it can counter a good nurse is a 4-Swf with full gen-rushing build and commodius-wire spool-scraps. The kind of swf that can still repair gens even if any chases last 20 sec.

I always see the bonus on surv 100%, except in some very specific opportunities.
The sign has never dissapeared for me at least.

Because the community had a problem with the old matchmaking. So they widened the pool of people you possible could get matched with
extremely simplified:
you start with 1000 MMR points
you gain andaverage of 20 MMR per game so you need at least 30 games to be at 1600 MAX MMR (for matchmaking)
It's not that much right? But lets go further
Lets take some numebrs bc I can't remember the exact ones they shared with us.
You have 1600 MX matchmaking-mmr: The game also matches you with people with 1450 mmr. This widens over a few seconds because the community wants instand games and don't wait for even a minute. So if it takes 1 minute for you to find a game the MMR says: okay I'll also match you with people with lets say 1200 MMR.
1200 MMR when the starting value is 1000.
it doesn't matter what the exact numbers are because that's literally how it works. There is a little newbie-bubble and that's it. The Community hates "long" qtimes and they love slapping noobs. It's not a MMR. It kinda? was? for a while. But yea, have fun. Stats say it's fine.
That means the matchmaking barely works at all, if you can reach that softcap where everyone can be matched with everyone within 30 matches. It's the same as not having any mmr at all

I was just about to say the same thing. In matches where I get curbstomped by Nurse, hardly anyone breaks 10k. I'd love to have scores like that as my norm against Nurse.
In my case, it was because of the dowsing rods and prove thyself that i've got my score that high, I died second after the nea
-
@dugman said:
First, how do you know they're not close to your MMR?
Second is even if they're very high MMR the system has to put them against somebody and if there's nobody in their bracket they'll go against whoever happens to be available. No MMR system is going to get around that.
because he was very good with nurse?
because he barely missed any blinks?
because i barely lasted 25sec in any chase?
I understand that there must not be many survivors in these hours, but it is frustrating as hell to be playing normally and suddenly you are matched up with these beasts that stomps you effortless

How many actual god nurses that down everyone within 60 seconds are out there?
People claim to face god nurses all the time. Despite the fact that her kill rate is no where exceptional. If there were really so many out there, then it would show on the stats.
Now on regard of the SWF teams with tens of thousands of hours under their belt. No one has an actual number, BUT there are enough out there that their escape rate is reflected in the stats. The 15% higher escape rate might not sound like a lot. But that percentage more than the difference between a top 5% nurse kill rate and a normal nurse kill rate.
Every single nurse game for me is against a good nurse. Maybe she dont down us in 60 sec but it is the same is she does at 120 sec with 4-5 gens remaining.
I truly dont know of that 'magic region' where nurses actually play bad and survivors can hope to make a gate escape.
My Last nurse game was yersterday, a four solo q team (playtime was aprox 1000h, 800h, 200h and 600h) against a 4500h nurse. Needles to say she effortesly stomp us.

Yeah i won't play my spirit girl without these addons. Everytime i play with yellow addons i get send to crappy maps or i get super good survivors.
Why shouldnt killers be allowed to wear their best when survivors will most likely bring their best as well + medkits
If you want to nerf her then nerf survivors iron will as well. Even though its not 100% its still really hard to hear non injured survivors with all the ambiance noises + everything else thats going on in the map. I hate that i have to crank my sounds to 100 to hear anyone.
Also just saying...you shouldn't call killers that use their best addons anything while survivors are seriously running around with 4 purple medkits + good addons or purple toolboxes + brand new parts. I really don't like how people have these double standards.
Nerf iron will? Really?
The perk that no longer gives 100% sound red(75%), but also is countered by using a exhaustion perk?
Who even uses iron will post 6.1.0, let alone think is broken?

NEW MOD?
I couldn't figure it out myself since there is no update on the community team page... Who is it?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/9/the-community-team-introduction
But well, it is a bit sad to see users who were discussing just a few minutes ago suddenly disappear. I can understand users who are clearly in violation of the rules, but sometimes I am surprised to hear "This person is banned!?" I am sometimes surprised.
It's the same in the English forum.
i dont know, but sth must have changed because i started seeing a lot more bans in the last two month
-
Never play in the morning, no weak killer is gonna get up early to greet you.
-
I believe there must be a new mod that came fairly recent that must be tasked exclusively with banning.
From what i have seen, there have been a lot of bans of forum users in september-october period.

A possible reason for this is because of the 4v1 dynamic and what it means for player engagement.
I've played games where the killer got a 2k, but they really struggled the entire game and mostly just got the kills due to endgame shenanigans. In some of those, one or two people just get chased for the entire match. For the other 2-3 people, the match is kind of... boring? You're just on gen duty the entire game and escape easily with no effort.
The game is more than just an end result but mostly how you got there. Killers might have been getting an average of 2k, but maybe it was happening in an unhealthy way. It's generally more fun for killers to get 8 hooks and kill nobody than to get 1 hook the entire game and then camp that hook out because the 5th generator already popped.
But that is a very inconsistent way of justification. I mean, i agree some games the killer would get the kills on endgame, but that is one type of outcome out of many.
Some killers get gen rushed and get 0k.
Some killers stomp the surv and get 4k at 5 gens.
Some killer struggle to get 1k.
Some killer camp to get 3k and the last surv got hatch.
Some killers get their kills on endgame because their perk build was made for that stage.
I dont think it's fair to say the 52-3% was done in a unhealthy way, nor i think that bhvr can accurately gather percentage data on "healthy" matches and "unhealthy" matches.

Friend, I'm happy to discuss things further, but the snarkiness is not necessary.
The changes we made in 6.1.0 were not solely based on stats. When looking at gameplay, it was clear that Killers were having a rough time doing what they need to do - killing, and this was in no small part due to things like generator repair times. Each of the changes we made were related to issues that many people have brought up. I would encourage you to read through the Developer Updates we posted around that time where we explained our reasoning behind each of the changes.
Beyond that, the data we have access to is far more details than averages, which allows us to do deeper dives and reveal more than just a kill rate.
Again, stats can show you where a problem might be, but they do not paint a full picture.
But from what i read, pre 6.1.0 killers would still have an average rate of 52-53% killrate which means they would still kill more on average than survivors would escape. I dont truly believe they were having such a "rough time".

Yes, every other multiplayer game does this. League, Cs go, siege, ow to name a few. What do all of these have in common? A dc puts the side with a dc at a severe disadvantage. The only thing that should be added is the ability to join back if your internet cuts out. But internet is not an excuse for repeated dc's.
@SunsetSherbet said:

If you ban people for cheating then you will lose a % of the playerbase.
No one wants to play with DCers besides other DCers. Bans should be handed out for repeated DCs. If your connection is so unstable that you get banned due to it, then you shouldn't be playing anyway.
Let me clarify this.
First, i dont agree with DC, i dont like DCers, i have only ever DC'd purposely in a very specific situation against one specific killer that i truly dislike and i am constantly playing against.
Second, i OBVIOUSLY agree that some kind of penalty must be given to repeated and constant DCers, but the OP which i made a comment before says "BAN PEOPLE FOR DCING" regardless of how many times, or situation in which that DC was made, and in that i dont agree.
Third, Dead by Daylight can have an excessively precise connection checks, as sometimes a mere 2-3 sec of internet loss is enough to get me kicked out of a game with no chance to reconnect, something that games like Lol or Cs:Go allow.
Fourth, League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter Strike, are Free to play games which dbd is not. Dead by Daylight is a PAID GAME with PAID DLCs so if you are telling me that a 2-3 sec of internet loss or a DC because of an electrical problem in my house justifies me getting permabanned, then i would have never bought this game.

The same reason that literally every other online game does it, it ruins the game for everyone else. Let's count them shall we?
- Overwatch
- DotA 2
- League of Legends
- Counterstrike
- Rainbow Six
- Street Fighter (actually show your DC percent to people so they can just not play with you)
- Quake Champions
- FIFA
- Valorant
- Call of Duty
- NBA 2k
- Madden
- World of Tanks
I could probably keep going?
I did not say that DC does not ruin the game, but your solution is banning everyone?
In a month, you would have 10 min queues.
-
If you ban people for DCing you will lose a % of the playerbase.
Plus you dont always know why people Dc, would you ban someone whose internet was down for 2 sec and were kicked out?
-

While every other killer gets s*** on because of second chances, comms, flawed map design and size.
Not every killer is weak except for nurse, you have killers like blight, artist, and spirit that are strong.
Not everyone plays on comms.
Not every map is flawed, and some maps even favor killers.
I agree with second chance perks being used, but it is like arguing with killers spamming slowdown perks.

I wish the hatch allowed multiple escapes like before, but removing blueprints completely.
-
At least you wouldnt get wrecked in 2 min by a killer that ignores pallets, windows, floors. Her power is just too broken for the way dbd is designed.
-
You need to hope that the one being tunneled can hold their own long enough for at least 3 gens to be completed

But that is the problem. Is our world full of tolerant and mature people ? Big no would be the answer. Which is why I think that folks should take an extra step and reduce toxicity by being a bit more clear.
Being the bigger man is the point. Most people cant be helped. But they can be kept chill with an extra word or two if needed. Then this forum whirlpools would happen less often.
If you need to adjust what to say is because you believe is wrong.
At least for me, "GG WP" stands for "Good Game, Well Played" and if my english is not wrong this is not an insult.
So If this is enough to offend someone, then the problem is not really on my end.
It would be a nightmare if people were forced to do an internal mental analysis of whatever word they use to find hidden meanings to whatever person it might reach.
-
What about if i dont want my build to be reliant on my teammates dying?
-
You could fill a library with the words banned by the chat filter.

It doesn't. But a third of the commenters in this thread not being able to understand the message of the post does.
I'll help you understand it better :
"Saying ggwp after a stomp will be often missunderstood and give you toxic replies no matter what you think you meant ".
People need to be tolerant or mature enough to take a "gg wp" for what it is and dont overthink an ulterior evil mastermind motive behind it.
And if you truly cannot muster any tolerance at all, then for your own mental sanity you should avoid reading the endgame chat
-
@FreddyVoorhees said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3218854#Comment_3218854
It depends on what people consider "well/good play". On situations and norms too. One must not be self centered and oblivious on how their message will be understood. People have died in real life because of this.
What do you think would happen most of time if I got downed 3 times within first 2m of the match and got sacrficed only to later post that i played well in the chat.
I may think that I did some nicer loop tricks , killer might think that too. But the teammates will hurl slurs for ruining their chances and being s****t in this game.
Its not about paranoia. Nor bruised ego. Its about making sure your message is "well understood". To avoid missunderstanding. A common plague amongst human kind.
What if after the 2014 world cup (germany 7:1 brazil) you went to the brazil ultras and told them that brazil played well ? You would be surprised after looking at your medical bill. You may ask yourself "But why, I was being polite?".
The reality is that they misunderstood your words as sarcasm and mockery.
If you want to be nice to a team that just got destroyed AND make sure they actually understand what you are trying to say , be a bit more specific. Many have suggested above , mention a player that did someting good , wish them luck etc.
gwwp is for not meant for domination matches. It will be missunderstood most of the time. Use it when they have done at least a few gens looped you decently enough.
Wow, i think you should really not read the endgame chat if something like "wp" gives you this much thought.
-
Why would you get mad for someone saying "wp"?
Many players put "gg wp" as courtesy after a match, regardless who won or lost.
You are also not forced in any way to answer or even read the end game chat.
-
I truly dont get the point in this. You ok?
-
I have not been in these so called "games where the survs pop 3/4 gens in the first chase" not even once in my entire dbd playtime.
The only times i can remember of a similar situation are when killers were purposely AFK or the killer was very new to the game and could not use their character properly.
Do you know why i havent been in these situations?
Because that kind of play are usually reserved to high MMR matches where you cant possibly reach unless you play a good swf team.
As current MMR works, it is way easier to up your mmr as killer than soloq survs. So expect constant SWF teams as you must have passed the point where you could get matched with normal soloQ players like me.
-
My problem with soloQ are the poor looping skills my soloQ teammates have.
I am not a good looper, but i try to last at least 30sec in chase against any killer, yet most my teammates last 10-15sec in chase, so its common for me to have a second surv hooked by the time i am unhooking the first.
And i am not refering to matches against the strongest killers, i cant blame a teammate for being downed quickly against a nurse or a blight, but against a trapper? A ghostface?
-
Because it is meant to cover the surv 1 hit.
If you could bypass endurance with the many perks, addons and killer powers that cause exposed, who would even bother using endurance effects?
Every killer would be spamming exposed to guarantee downs.

Are you in EU servers? Because that’s completely false.
You can’t expect everyone to speak English. Plenty of players in my lobbies do not speak English.
So me someone who mains Solo Q would have to turn a big buff off and still have a miserable experience because of the place I live irl?
@Halloulle said:
VC on EU Servers would be a complete ######### fest - mainly because there seem to be two big languages: English and Russian. There are also a number of people who speak neither. Knowing that immature people are present in every game and that they will use VC to put their immaturity on display .... no thanks.
In my region, half of the playerbase speaks spanish while the other half speaks portuguese. Even if i can understand english, i will never be able to understand a full speed portuguese speaker.
So in my case VC would probably lead to a hilarious shouting fest of people trying to say location and events and the others doing the exact opposite.

They would not. This feature only grants prestige levels to characters that could have been prestiged, but weren't (e.g. If you were taking a break from the game at the time and didn't log in to prestige them before the update). Since you can't prestige at level 40, they are not eligible.
Sadness

It's less about how they are now and more about how they were at the time of the update.
If at the time of the update, your character was level 50 and either P0, P1 or P2, then it gets bonus prestige levels.
I know for one that I had left my Legion and Hag on Prestige 0 level 50 because I didn't want them to lose their anniversary flans.
I have most my killers in P0 lv 40 because i barely play them, would they receive the 2 prestiges?
