I mean it's my obsession. Why would I need to start someone chasing and then go "Oh I forgot you are my obsession, sorry dude!" because the only indicator is the symbol on the bottom left wiggling when you chase your obsession. This doesn't make any sense. I, as a killer, should instantly know when I spot someone if he/she is my obsession.

I shouldn't even have to think about names and character models. It's not my hidden crush, it's my obsession!

I mean you can press pause look at which survivor is your obsession like say it’s Jake out of a Jake Claud Nea and Jane you know who not to go for

  • For me most of mine are 4/5 5/5 some like a few defaults are 3/5 my nurse skill is probably a 1-2/5 I’m not great on her and to make it worse I play on console but I can get a good match every now and then

I've not long got up to the point I get teamed with red rank players, from about rank 8 I've been getting put with 4's and above.

Never have I seen so many DC's from survivors and killers the whole time I've played this game which is since just after release, I think the current penalties aren't enough for people who DC as it usually happens within the first few mins and ruins the game.

Can we have like 24 hour bans for repeat offenders please? What do you guys and gals think?

I had one yesterday dc because this happened

Steve gets downed I look at wall pick him up hook him she fails her flashlight

She then unhooks him I hook him again she fails

Now I have a Jane down next to basement and what happens when she tries to flashlight she fails lets me hit her twice then I hook Jane then right as she is about to be hooked quits

After that I look at her rank was rank 1 went to rank 2

And that’s not the end of the entitlement cuz I was told I was the issue cuz I “tunneled” and wouldn’t farm with them

During my first game on the PTB, I got hit with an M1 and magically my Cheryl got bloody clothing that stayed like that the rest of the match even when I was healed. To me, this appears to be a bug that is showing the new prestige cosmetics because if its a new feature it makes the prestige bloody cosmetics kind of pointless.

This is probably part of the Prestige rework mentioned in the Anniversary stream. Bloody cosmetics for every skin not just the defaults. Personally, I've been wanting this for a while and it makes so much sense now that there are locked outfits because it means you can still show off your prestige even though you can't mix and match clothing.

That’s just part of the graphics overhaul to make the game more realistic has nothing to do with prestige

it seems rather balanced to me but is it really worth a perk slot?

I mean in itself it’s fine but survivors be having too big of an ego when they run it and end up getting theirselves rehooked

Hello fellow fog runners. I've come to a conclusion that makes me sad.. people just don't get it. Or maybe its ME that doesn't get it.. I'll explain..

I play survivor and killer mostly equally, but prefer killer. I am a huge fan of the original Texas chainsaw massacre for over 20 years so obviously main Leatherface.

After 3 years of playing, I've come to a point where literally 90 percent of my matches I find myself finding a corner to stand in so survivors can get some points so the match feels worthwhile to them.

In response to the hate mssgs I received when the game was new to me, I've learned what not to do (tunnel, camp, plank ppl for no reason, etc.) Playing survivor helped me also as I never do as killer what I hate being done to me as survivor.

This is my point I guess, I can come out of a match with 60-100k on average without actually killing anyone (I run BBQ, discordance, gearhead, and beast of prey.) And I feel good that everyone got a lot of points and had fun. I like playing games w survivors to make it interesting and have got nothing but good feedback from matches in the last couple years..

So question.. am I the only one that gets it? Cuz I'm sick to my stomach with the way killers play/act. It's attrocious the things ppl do "because they can"

Wake up killers, your not only hurting your own score by playing with no concience, keep in mind that NOBODY likes getting 3k points a match. It doesn't make you good friend, and karma will get you.

    See you in the fog.

    EmptyBore76

It ain’t nobody fault when survivors want to act all cute with their keys teabagging and crutch perks then turn around and cry cuz killers camp tunnel and bring moris

  • That adds 2 more issues then 1 killer can camp even harder now if survivors are too altruistic and your fix would do nothing or 2 survivors will refuse to save their team cuz they can just wait till the hooked survivor comes to them

  • @hanibel said:

Pyramid heads nerf on cages could be the answer to solve camping killers permanently when pyramid head camps a cage for more the 10 seconds the cage teleports away furthest away from the pyramid head and he can't see were they went that sounds like the perfect way to decentivize all killer from camping that should be applied base to all hooks and effect every killer in the game

Problem is survivors will abuse it by looping a hook causing it to teleport away then someone across map gets the free save cuz you know “shouldn’t have camped”

  • @Komodo16 said:

So Franklin's chanhe is too strong. I have personally ran a killer around all game, my friend azame is the BEST console player I know as a survivor and constantly runs killers while injured for longer than 90 seconds now I have not stocked up my items to lose it to a trash killer who cant end chases and I understand if its pallet lodge or whatever but if I actually do GOOD I deserve to keep my item so if we lose any help we get as survivors killers need to lose their help. That simple killers can mindgame and vault and break pallets we can drop pallets mindgame and vault so we have items and add-ons and we lose addons but keep our item if we escape killers get to keep their powers regardless and lose add ons so items are basically survs powers and to rid us of that by tunneling or us being good at the game or getting lucky is not fair and needs balance and if you disagree PLEASE give me actual good points to explain how this is fair

Would you rather get tunnel moried off hook with old franklins cuz you brought a key?

  • My favorite is Demogordon Ramsey

  • @MongolPSR said:

So after thinking a bit about how much I have been advocating for killer support and buffs, I felt like I needed to give survivors a fair shake in return. Tis only fair as I think there is definetley stuff that is unfair for survivors and their fun shouldnt be ignored in favor of the other side. So with that in mind lets talk about slugging :D

It has become very clear in that the devs are trying to minimize ways for people to camp and tunnel. loss of emblem points for hook proximity. The creation of DS, Borrowed Time, MoM even if it does suck, and maybe a few other Im failing of thinking of right now all combat a ultimatley lame way of playing that purposley ruins the fun of others just to win.

This also applies with slugging, a lot of perks have been made to combat slugging. Unbreakable, No Mither, that new cheryl perk. All of these perks make you be able to pick yourself up off the ground if you fully recover. However, these were bandaid solutions for wounds that have been prevalent since DBD started. We see it with the new chainsaw changes that they are trying to hurt those who camp.

With this in mind I think it would be a decent quality of life change for survivors if base kit for survivors allowed them to res themselves once per match. you could make it take longer and have that final little bit that you ussually need others to heal you for take twice as long to get through or whatever to balance it a bit better. However I just think that survivors do need a bit of power to stop themselves from laying on the floor for most of the match, it's not fair to them. This really is a second chance that they deserve. Can this be abused of course, but im not thinkiing about the 4 man monster bully squads im thinking about the average solo player.

    Sabo squad would destroy lmao

  • @darwinsbrain said:

According to the last available dev stats. Does that seem balanced to anyone? Red ranks that are supposedly all coordinated SWF btw. 15 threads a day calling to nerf DS that gives 60 seconds that a survivor can take a third hit but the ability to one hit down with speed Billy all match is "perfectly balanced". This is a relatively minor nerf that has long been needed.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/106566/

Reminder the last time they gave us stats was Pre hex ruin is ruined update so most of those numbers don’t mean anything anymore but this doesn’t mean I don’t agree the nerf made sense

Well micro transactions are non refundable and the billy nerf we knew about when doc got reworked so it wasn’t out of the blue

  • @OmegaXII said:

So i heard that the chainsaw will be 25% overheat just from 1 full revving.

So if the killer decide to cancel his chainsaw where it's almost charged, the overheat is still going up, and lead to another 25% overheat.

So let's say his overheat is 50% now for distance travelling. Once he starts his chainsaw, he either feather it, rev it for less than whole charge bar and cancel it, or commit it. Or else your chainsaw will be 100% overheat. Even if you commit it, if you miss, you'll have essentially no power for a duration because your chainsaw is 75%.

So either way, once he starts a chainsaw at 50% power bar, unless he feathers it, he can't use his chainsaw at all for a duration. I don't think this is a "minimal change" at all, since good survivors will definitely take advantage of this. Unless, let's say the overheat cools down totally in 10 secs without 100% overheat, this is essentially a huge, massive nerf to billy.

(This is just my opinion, please don't be rude when responding)

I’ll admit at first it looked minor but looking at the numbers unless I’m misreading this does not look minor but im gonna wait till tomorrow to really post any criticism

(Controversial sounding title! We baitin' in here, boys.)

We hear about matchmaking a lot here, I know. Still, I figured I'd throw out an anecdote about a recent experience I witnessed.

I play mostly killer, my wife plays strictly only survivor. 100% survivor main, through and through. She didn't even try killer, because it's just not interesting to her. However, she was presented with a "Chase survivors for 180 seconds" daily and figured that'd be no hassle to do, so she'd just knock it out.

Now, bearing in mind that this is literally a new player as far as killer is concerned. Rank 20. Level 1 Billy. 1 perk slot. No addons. No offerings. No nothing. Asking me what button to press to break a pallet. You get the picture.

It took two games to do the daily. (176 seconds worth in the first game, so close.)

First game matchmaking wasn't TOO bad, though there was a rank 10.

Second game was a study in exactly what's wrong with the system. 4-man SWF. Rank 1, two purple ranks, and a super low rank.

This cannot be the experience that's intended for as-new-as-new-gets players, unless the developers simply want to give the middle finger to killers. It cannot be acceptable for groups of high rank players to trick the matchmaking into letting them face new players.

No other game I've ever played works like this. They generally match against the highest rank in a group, because it's on the group to deal with their choices, not on their opponents. I can't just get all my Global friends in CS:GO to lobby with me as a silver and stomp new players.

If you want one thing, one example of a deliberate choice on the part of BHVR that makes killers - especially new ones - feel like developers don't care about that role, this is it.

Tbh they need to revert back to the highest player gets killer idky that got changed to cater the low ranks in groups as they just shouldn’t be there if they face higher ranks then them it’s on them for doing it

  • I’m wondering if it was intentional or a bug it’s happened accidentally before if not a bug in it being turned off maybe a bug occurred and they had to turn it off since they were all for the addition I doubt they would remove it without good reason

  • @White_Owl said:

You can say anything about that map, except that the Exit Gates are badly designed. They are at a reasonable distance for the killer to patrol them, they have LoS blockers to help survivors sneak around them, and to top it all they are fixed. All this make the end game feel more balanced and engaging for both sides. The more I play that map the more I think that every map should have Exit Gates with those characteristics.

I can literally walk back and forth between the gates and prevent escapes that’s not balanced

  • @caz_ said:

ok imagine.. you get chased by the killer get the first hit -> item drops. from now on you have 90 seconds to pick it up back. a chase is in average lets say 30 seconds.

now the killer needs to pick you up, get to a hook and hook you. lets say 10 seconds.

now survivor need to get you from the other side of the map that will probably take again around 20-30 seconds.

now we have around 70 seconds in the worst case. the survivor has now 20 seconds to run to the item and pick it up, depending now where the chase began if is in the other side of the map well.. say goodbye to your item.

the only way to get your item somehow back is someone is hook bombing with borrowed time and you run immideately to the item IF the killers isnt following you. otherwise goodybe item.

    its just to much.

the only item i bring in games are medkits now devs pretty much say : f you, go and use selfcare for 40 seconds? that cant be real. i really dont understand what devs trying to do?

a lot of maps got changed, with these changes maps are full with deadzones. now they want people to lose their items. what next? obviously you want to make the game easier for killers, sure thing. but you just nerf everything to hell and killers are again wondering why so many people play in a group.

Devs.. do you try to kill Solo players? i mean.. slowly i really have that feeling you just wanna punish people for playing solo.. and enough is enough i guess? if you keep doing this i will stop playing both sides and just become a killer main.

Would you rather killers keep running current franklins with an ivory or ebony Mori and tunnel the key user?

  • @BBQ_n_Chillout said:

All the hate towards spirit really gets old. People complain about her having no counter play but that's just a popular myth. I have no trouble playing against your average spirit. Most likely the ones that complain the most are just bad players or are solo queuing and get bad teams. At the end of the day she's just an M1 killer with a ability not unlike any other killer. Is she strong? Sure. A lot of killers are. I think playing as optimally as possible on both sides that oni, billy, nurse and maybe hag and freddy are all stronger killers. People act like every spirit is god tier but i've seen some pretty mediocre ones.

Please stop blaming the spirit for your shortcomings. If she's a menace to you run iron will, it helps trust me. I cannot fathom what a nerf to her would even look like. If what the community wants gets done she would be useless. I think she's very fun to play and challenging to play against, but that's ok. I don't want to be spoon fed escapes i'd rather earn them.

Almost every player with a multitude of hours on either side will tell you there is no interaction or counter with her power she doesn’t move her hand in any special way make any sound inside terror radius to tell you this is happening etc

  • Yeah I know what flicking is and you have no idea if it’s removed which I’m gonna say most likely not since this is a minor nerf while yes we didn’t need this nerf right now as there are more important fixes this was a matter of time the game is in a new age and billy did not fit that now he does it’s a pvp video game everything is subject to nerfs and buffs just get use to it and stop whining if it doesn’t go your way please

  • @Angel_di_Soufre said:

I mean, it’s being nice reading threads about Billy and how they are making it more annoying to use overall and how you can almost justify being annoying because one shot+map traversal, ignoring the fact the everyone needs map traversal ASAP and getting one-shots require hard reads and survivor mistakes

(it overheats too quickly when revving, thing you often do while looping to mindgame, zone and curve)

but my boi, Leatherface, does he need a cooldown tho?

look, I get it, he needed a rework, going faster, charges on chainsaw are nice, having control over your chainsaw run and making him go into tantrum after revving for too much is a neat detail (that will not stop face camping, mind you)

3 charges, 1 charge every 4 seconds, it’s not like it’s crippling but it’s the principle of the thing, why even bother?

Imagine how legion feels tho to have their power stolen again but now one that insta downs everyone lol

  • @Triforcer said:

Like DS, this will change the game even in lobbies where it isn't being run.

Think about what DS does. If you are a killer, and you enter a lobby where there is an obsession, you have to start off assuming all four players have DS. That affects who you chase, who you pick up, etc. It may be that 0 people out of 4 have it, but you still need to play around it.

Lightborn will be the same thing. The survivors will know that the killers know who is bringing a flashlight (unless it is the 6 second equip trick, but a seasoned killer should see that coming anyway and have their finger on lightborn). Therefore, the survivors will assume that the killer will equip lightborn if they see a flashlight. Therefore, the survivor will not equip a flashlight at all. The killer gets the benefit of lightborn without using it!

This is not gonna work how you think it will cuz no one really runs lightborn cuz you can with most killers look at a wall or with hag demo and trapper fake place a trap on the downed survivor facing the open see if anyone comes and get a free hit or down on another survivor or heck bring infectious now you know if someone is near with a flashlight that perk will be more assumed then lightborn

Baseline you will be able to rev for ~8 seconds before overheating i guess. This essentially kills flick billy.

Well you have no idea how long you can still back rev for as there is no ptb until tomorrow so I wouldn’t assume things cuz you know what they say about assuming and any ways your not suppose to rev forever get close rev the saw until it’s fully charged and down them done and done if you are somewhere you can’t do that zone them to where you can or whack them

  • @MysterTal said:

    "Well, their Perks have coo--"

    I'm not talking about Perks.

How about we add cooldowns to the Survivors' base kit? It's only fair, seeing as how BHVR is absolutely in love with slapping Killers with cooldowns to their base kits.

How about we make it so Survivors can only hold M1 on a gen for so long before becoming "Fatigued" and having to take a breather before they can keep repairing? Don't worry, it won't be long! Just 15-20 seconds, like Killer power cooldowns! Yeah! Survivors always complain that holding M1 at gens is boring, so here you go! Forced breaks!

Oooh! Let's make it a token-based system as well, since BHVR loves that too! You have 5 tokens (one for each gen) and once you start M1'ining a gen a token is spent. Once you run out of tokens, you can't work on gens at all until you replenish the tokens by wasting some time inside lockers or something.

Oooh, oooh, ooh! Let's also make it so that vaulting windows and dropping pallets is token-based and you get a cooldown! Dropping pallets makes you "Fatigued" and vaulting makes you "Out of Breath" and there's a 15 second cooldown before you can vault/drop pallets again.

Sounds absolutely insane and detached from any basic understanding of how Survivor works, how the game works, the relative strength of characters, how maps are designed and what fun is? That's a joke, right?

Yes it is, and that's exactly how Billy Mains feel :)

Someone’s mad lol the billy is barely a nerf and doesn’t change how you play if you don’t backrev for 30 seconds

So I'm new to playing the game but I've been watching videos for years. I have less than 10 games under my belt, lastnight I was playing as the new killer and had just unlocked noed, I had fun even though I was getting juked like crazy lol. by the end I got two kills and the other two got away, they instantly rushed the doors open and didnt 99% them. One guy said good job but people are gonna report you and be mad at you for being toxic using Noed.. I didnt camp at all and I dont think I was being toxic in any way, so just curious if having noed is a looked at badly or was this dude just salty he got killed by a new player?

P.S. I've been loving how awesome this community has been since I started playing.

People will be salty about it but don’t listen to them Noed is a great perk for the current gen rush and adrenaline meta if they choose gens over totems that is all on them

The devs love to nerf any halfway-decent killer and killer perks, but it’s okay for survivors to have: Adrenaline, DS, BT, Soul Guard, Unbreakable, and the most op perk of all... SWF. Killers get called toxic for camping and tunneling But there is nothing you can do about getting he gen rushes, or not be able to catch and hook not a single survivor. The devs won’t increase gen time, the won’t touch SWF, they keep nerfing killers that are actually viable, they nerf killer perks. Like old ruin, even if they didn’t nerf it, how that compare to the survivor perks they got now. The killer meta is very weak compared to the survivor meta. What can killers do when they get gen rushed? What can killers do against SWF. What can killers do with very lackluster perks. Devs, Do you truly play your game. Can you say that the Killer is an actual Killer, or is he trying to survive against the 4 killers. I mean look at Pyramid Head’s perks compared to Cheryl’s perks. Devs, PLEASE PLAY YOUR GAME!!!

The game is not catered to any side it’s catered to balance and I find while I have that one bad game every so often I get a 4K by the end and don’t have to resort to camping or overly tunneling the reason they won’t touch the perks you mentioned is cuz they can go games without ever being used if the killer doesn’t camp tunnel or slug ruin change was good for both sides in red ranks it didn’t have much use if they gen tap or hit skill checks swf doesn’t need a real touch or nerf why nerf people for having friends?

  • @Dvl said:

Hey so I just really wanna know what’s up with so many killers sweating for 4k’s, and tunneling survivors who find crowns. Killers just have to find it and can just go do nothing and still get it if they really want so what’s the point in ruining the event for survivors? Running specific perks to ensure you get the 4K, tunneling anyone with the glow, camping hooks and crown spawns like I seriously don’t get it.

Well because the event makes survivors go try hard sweatlord 3000 a lot more so don’t killers have to compensate for that even harder if they want points and pips?

You shouldve read what my post was about, a person stated a big part why they added overheat is facecamping ability of billy, but that ability is not that good because you can snatch the survivor from a pleb billy. Doc on the other hand can completely prevent any unhooking by spamming m2. You will not get the unhook end of story that was my point, if it is about facecamping they should change doc as well. The more you know as a rank 20.

I mean I’ve saved plenty of times against face camping docs but again that was not the point of any of this go make a new thread if that’s what you want to whine about the reason any of this change is happening is

1 to cancel chainsaw camping as best they can

2 to force players to actually use the skill gap of him

3 to give him the same style add ons as everyone else

4 to give him the same kind of cd as all the newer and reworked killers

we are in a new age of dbd where cd are gonna be a thing for almost everyone if that’s not your cup of tea then don’t play but don’t try to ruin other players gameplay especially new players like this guy wants to do

BHVR, can the dead end room in Dead Dog Saloon please be fixed. The upstairs that has 1 point of access (a vault point) and 3 breakable doors.

The poor layout of the area leaves it open to abuse by Killers and punishes Survivors for the wrong reason.

It’s as bad as pre-3.7.0 Thompson House, where the upstairs area had only 1 access point.

I recommend making the door that faces the balcony open. That way, Killers can’t abuse the area but aren’t penalised either. It simply leaves a sensible opportunity for Survivors to react to their surroundings.

Point of it was so survivors can’t abuse the saloon anymore it made walls a survivor sided thing instead of a killers way to cut them off as they would run an infinite around which took 3 or more walls to stop and meant you lost all distance on the survivor

Dude, not cool to assert your opinion as fact like that. I don't tell you how to play Hillbilly to have fun.

that’s not an opinion it’s a fact but ok? And you just gave reference to a killer who does have to m1 on certain loops if hatchets can’t hit or you are out and one that is a basic attack killer all about timing when to do it

  • @Kind_Lemon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1412309#Comment_1412309

Yes, I'm aware. I'm talking about revving around pallets to try to get curves or revving just to make survivors not go in a direction. Additionally, that was only a little under ten seconds of use and the chainsaw was overheated by 50%. The revving took up 25% in 2 seconds and the sprinting took up a little under 25% in seven seconds.

I mean, for Billies who just like zooming around the map for fun with double turning add-ons and don't necessarily manage to kill people effectively, this removes their ability to do so.

It's the same direction as the Nurse rework, whether this Billy change is impactful or not. It's a "**** the players who play this for fun while we don't touch the aspects of the killer than super effective killers use to kill survivors easily and rapidly".

The thing is powers are meant to be situational not an all the time thing so yes certain loops if you can’t zone them out you will have to use a basic attack if you will overheat

  • @Flarefire_Xx said:

I think the reason for this unjustified billy nerf(even more unjustified than nurse) is because they cater and balance around the potatoes, they don’t listen to the people who have played for a while and know the game, they know that the potatoes will be cash cows so they will cater to them.

They would probably also say they added this new “feature” to his saw to make more addon diversity

Its about time they start balancing around high rank survivors/killers because we will all be there one day and treat all survivors like SWF so balancing can be easier

This is a high rank balance what do you mean? It means if you already know how to play billy it won’t effect you if you don’t it gives more incentive to learn how to

The billy in that video uses a purple and yellow add-ons. And we don't even know what they do. Those might change how the overheat works.

It was in words not just the video about how overheat works it works exactly as in the video

I don't like this "if you're a good _____ it won't affect you" mentality. People are not good with the character when they start, so if you make him miserable to play, no one will learn. Look at nurse, she's so incredibly difficult and punishing to learn that no one plays her.

If you keep adding these ridiculous things, you're going to see nothing but Freddy, trapper, and doctor.

It is a minor nerf it won’t effect people at all most likely but what it does is add incentive to learn the killer not just play back rev easy mode with no real mind game

But it doesn't affect Billies who just back rev... they're not the ones using their chainsaws all match. It affects Billies who don't instantly down people when beginning a chainsaw, which is the majority of better players.

None of this makes sense in terms of proper balance.

P.S. Even though I like this meme, I think it's cool that English hasn't dominated all name pronunciations.

Please go back and watch the video it only overheats quickly if you back rev too much otherwise it barely goes up when you are sprinting it is a very minor nerf while yes one we don’t need rn since sound is messed up no color blind options and spirit has no counter but it’s something that at a point would need to be done anyways wait until the ptb you will see it isn’t that bad

Looking at the new cosmetic for Nea that dropped today and it was released as a set, meaning no ability to isolate the head, body, and leg portions of the cosmetics to apply them with other previous/future cosmetics. I was afraid of this AND not sure if it means the total death of this option or if its just for event/anniversary cosmetics. If the former, it is highly unfortunate as one of my favorite aspects of this game is the ability to free range outfits the way you wanted them. I was hoping that the set-lock cosmetics was only going to be for licensed releases due to copyright/licensing limitations.

There will still be separate cosmetics the ones that are a set tho can have a lot more detail due to no clipping issues like the nea one is a great example cuz it has so much detail to it and the Alessa one is like that cuz skirts and dresses always have clipping issues don’t worry we will still see a lot of non set cosmetics they just won’t be the most detailed ones if that makes sense

I think every killer is happy that he can use franklins and camp the key until it is gone...

So the devs decide to do something against keys. But now is the question:

CAN WE EXPECT A „BIG“ CHANGE FOR MORIS TOO????????

    For example

    • killer can start mori only, if all four survivors were hooked?
    • if a killer couldn’t hook a survivor during the first 2 min of the match, mori will be removed for the match
    • mori can only be used on deadhooks

    We will see...

Well here is the problem with that franklins is hidden behind a paywall and an unreliable shrine of secrets (while yes it’s there I think right now or was the last time it’s unpredictable) while keys are just there and free and even spawn in the game no bp required while also a Mori and franklins both would require bp to obtain

I posted a topic a few days back asking if anyone had ever seen any response from the devs to feedback and suggestions.

Within an hour of posting the topic two devs showed up to post sarcastic replies.

I pointed out that I had posted that topic to bait some Devs into responding. They took the bait and responded.

This contradicts the excuse that they are too busy with other things to respond to feedback or suggestions.

Yes, they are very busy but not too busy to post sarcastic, snarky comments back to their player base.

Now the Topic has been deleted. I think maybe I touched a nerve regarding the engagement levels of the Devs in the community.

Poor show lads. Don't agree... Censor it!

Probably cuz you were acting like a child in it maybe???

You realize this Billy nerf, will affect Curving greatly, or in fact even destroy it. This Billy nerf isn't minimal, and a good amount of people can tell.

It will make curving better by the looks of things since the brown gives a moderate increase to curving we could easily see a purple with tremendous increase all in all this change itself won’t effect curving as all that changes is a Cooldown that again only effects you if you can’t hit your chainsaw effectively in the first place you have to know when and when not to use it you can’t spam the back rev until you eventually can get a hit

When ruin got nerf i decide to learn billy now 7 month later i realise i learn billy for nothing.

Honestly if you can’t be good with new billy you weren’t good no offense cuz the whole change is to force people to learn billy rather then camp or back rev for free hits

Then you can't just slap the same cooldown to billy when he's already in balanced state without compensating him.

They did compensate tho with better add ons I don’t know why anyone is surprised by the change we knew about this I think around when Oni came out if not before then that billy was gonna be getting a Cooldown in the future to make them on par with all the other insta downs

  • @OmegaXII said:

The first paragraph of the dev update explains how fair it is to play as and against billy, BY DEVS YOURSELF.

So.. why nerf him? Doesn't that skew the already balanced state of him? Why touch the already balanced killer? There are so many low tier killers that need help (Clown, legion, trapper, etc..), and you guys are touching the one you believe that's the most fair for both sides? WHY?

Or you guys just decide to put a red bar to his power because you can't come out with add-ons idea? Seriously, why?

They did it cuz every other insta down killer has a Cooldown and this Cooldown won’t effect you if you are good with billy and don’t have to back rev too much it’s also to remove the annoying chainsaw face camping

  • @FootMan2893 said:

Face it, we already know from the past that once those Hillbilly changes hit PTB it's a done deal. They've never listened to any valid criticism from anyone in the community before and it'll probably stay like that until this game inevitably dies out later down the road. So instead of wasting your time typing out useless posts that won't move them at all do what you can do by hitting them where it hurts. Go on a camping spree.

Derank to green ranks and start facecamping harder than you've ever facecamped before. Ruin the game for every new player or casual friend group that you come across.

The vast majority of killers could quit and they won't care. Hell, even some of their largest content creators consistently complain about their terrible management of the game and they don't even listen to them.

Players like Scottjund and Zubatlel constantly complain about the state of the game on stream. Scott even quit for 2 weeks because of how frustratingly terrible the new map is with an Object of Obsession on it. Zubat posted a video showing just how fun that situation is by playing nascar against a Pyramid head. And just a few days ago AngryPug made a direct tweet to the devs twitter account about the state of the game which sparked a large thread of other content creators backing him up. The next day he then spent several hours of the start of his stream discussing the replies and talking about just how much of a garbage fire the current DBD is. Even players like Tru3talent and Otzdarva will let their thoughts slip when they get frustrated enough, which seems to be happened more often as of late. I wonder why?

One Of the main reasons behind the change was to stop facecamping with chainsaws plus doing this won’t solve anything but get another nerf brought to all killers so good luck with your salt just take some skill over spamming backrev cuz that’s all that changed

I'm a garbage Billy player, it takes more skill than you think.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1408993#Comment_1408993

Ruin is trash. People don't even care enough to cleanse it any more, which is sad for a hex perk.

Trust me I know how hard billy can be in the current state I’m rank 1 yet have not mastered him at all but if I spam back rev I can get free hits I don’t need skill this change is just fixing that and on ruin note for someone like billy it would be good it’s best on snowball killers that can force survivors off gens and totems

  • @Cheers said:

How about we go back to memory lane when they changed toolboxes and balanced infinites.

People are complaining a bit early though.

Honestly those were blown out of proportion as well cuz most window loops are insanely good anyways and the Alex is good for sabo while the as I like to call it communist toolbox is great for gens still But yeah it hasn’t even hit ptb and they whine wait until atleast then then go ahead and cry you have no skill and need easy mode turned back on 😂😂😂

  • @Victor_hensley said:

Wait, I forgot, this community does not like to "try" to learn, and want everything positive handed to them.

don't get me wrong, i'm a killer main, but I also use my brain.

You shouldn't only be using your chainsaw anyway, some times it can be very inefficient at chases at certain loops, and it's better to not feather every single loop. You may have forgotten, but you also have a sledgehammer, use it sometimes maybe?

(Do you want survivors to start the match on death hook too?)

Ignore them only ones crying are rank 20s and campers anyways
