  • A lot of the killer playerbase left due to poor balancing on the devs part that they let sit for years on end.

  • Can you blame the killer if you're unhooked in front of them?

  • Let them win chases, pallet stun, never hook, never slug, and watch them teabag out the gate, then lambaste yourself for being a terrible human being, and how amazing they are at survivor. Rinse and repeat.

  • System is faulty, plus a sizable amount of killer players leaving over the last few months. Matchmaking throws whomever it can together. Though the second pic looks like a SWF.

  • What, exactly, are you complaining about when it comes to the update? That you can't use your god loops anymore?

  • Clear bones. The fact that survivors dictate if it activates or not is the very definition of balance.

With that said, why only affect unhooked survivors? That Urban Evasion Blendette that was hiding all game would be the target, vs the Nea that popped two gens herself and is on her last hook is safe?

With a change like that, it shouldn't be a Hex anymore. If you managed to hook everybody, then what would be the point?

  • I don't think I'd ever see the day when Pig is considered 'brain dead' and 'broken.' Next, somebody will come along and say Clown is OP.

  • And I'm always gen rushed by the most sweatiest of sweaty survivors. It's a cursed item that brings out the absolute worst in people.

So you're trying to say that you dont see it at all to get some egoboosting points I see. No dude, we're animals with patternseeking brains. There is literally a whole field of science dedicated to trying to find out how our brain exactly works. Once you see a pattern, your brain instantly links it with your memory where you've seen that pattern before. Since I'm european, the only real swastikas in history, are ww2 SS swastika's.

So no, im not seeing what I want to see. Perhaps im seeing it easier than others, but that's to blame to mild ppdnos that increases pattern seeking. In fact, did you know that people with ppdnos are hired by police and fbi due to them noticing patterns faster?

So yeah, if you show up on a forum with an ignorant comment, you better sit back to get some straight facts poured in your face.

By your logic, when my little sister ran around in a sheet last year for Halloween, I should have connected the dots and said, 'O my god, KKK.'

We might be 'animals,' but we're also intelligent. We may see similarities in things, but we, 'usually,' can see what is and isn't. In this case, you chose to see a bunch of lines as a swastika, when obviously, it clearly isn't.

I'm of German descent as well. Go figure I didn't see a swastika until you came along and said 'hey look, these bunch of lines here make a swastika!'

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/143445/bad-map-preschool-infinite

You guys gotta quit complaining about infinite’s. Just lay off the chase then. Why is it survivors aren’t allowed to win chases and stay alive? Why must they go down every chase? Just protect your gens and go for ez downs. Killers are built to end chases quickly. You just need improvement

This isn't about winning or losing chases. This is about inbalanced loops. There are three, sometimes four gens that can pop near that loop. This goes for any god loop. Why must the killer ignore a good portion of a map, just because a god loop is present?

  • So, the OoO user gets chased, throws down every pallet they have, then another SWF buddy comes along and rebuilds them. Gotcha.

  • No. Just cut the timer when they are doing an objective, such as gens or healing. If they can do that, then they aren't being tunneled.

  • Ah, good man. Doing what god put Bubba on this Earth to do. Keep the faith!

  • They won't, because 'lobby dodging.' They know how broken SWF is, but god forbid the killer doesn't want to play against them.

Now, what I want is what you showed, but in the post game screen. I want to know for sure who was SWF, and who was just a really good player. Shouldn't be too difficult, and you can't lobby dodge if it's at the end of the match.

  • I'd like to know this as well. They said that the changes were 'too many' for the dev post, so really, they should release them in a separate post.

  • That's like telling survivors not to run certain perks because it gives them a leg up in the situation.

  • Iri Head is not broken. It's OP when paired with Infantry Belt, and should't be allowed to stack, but Iri Head alone isn't. You only get one shot, then have to reload. During that time, Huntress is a 110% killer with no ability. How is that broken?

Facecampering is when your right infront of a survivor and not leaving until they die and facecampers try to knock down anyone that is trying to get them but while still standing by the survivor on the hook

No no, I know what the literal meaning of face camping is, but again, I've been told I face camp when i'm not.

An example. The other night I just hooked a Meg. I walk away from the hook, only to see scratch marks nearby, so I follow. They disappear, but I know somebody is in the area, so I start hunting. I find the David maybe fifteen seconds later near the hook. Hit him, give chase, only to hear the unhook. Turn around, find the Nancy who just saved the Meg. Go to chase her, the Meg body blocks. Hit her, BT activates, but I chase after the Nancy. In the post game chat, I'm bm'ed as a face camper. Their 'proof' was BT.

There's a lot of variations to this. Survivors will throw themselves in front of me for the save, yet I'm face camping. Survivors will run around or near hooks instead of elsewhere, yet I'm face camping. A survivor will run across the map while I'm chasing them, back to a hook for the save, yet I'm face camping. It goes on.

My point is, terms like face camping and tunneling have been watered down over the years to include the broadest of strokes. Go look at the Steam forums, and just about every other thread is on face camping. Players will take terms and stretch them as far as possible. So, when I see one about such things, I'm not convinced. It doesn't mean actual face camping doesn't happen, and maybe more than I witness, but not every case means face camping.

  • I take 'face camping' posts with a grain of salt. Mainly because I get labeled as a face camping when I'm doing everything except that. When I play survivor, I've seen two, three face camping players in the last week? I honestly don't know where all these posts about camping come from. Can I have some? I'm tired of doing two to three gens solo per match.

What about the Wraith bug where it takes him a second or so longer to come out of cloak now? Several people have reported on it however hasn't been acknowledged as of yet. Gives survivors more of a chance to make it to a pallet/loop and to flashlight stun him too.

I'm not sure it takes longer, though. I think it's the animation that's slowed down, giving the appearance that it takes longer. Take it with a grain of salt, I haven't tried it myself, just seen streamers.

  • Was watching Tru3's Wraith vid earlier. I thought it looked slower. Was bugging the heck out of me.

  • Wifi. Hardline would have costed more to install.

  • Too complicated. It either registers as a hit or it doesn't. A lot of missed or bs hits aren't due to the hitbox, though, it's latency.

  • Now we know why Ruin was, well, ruined. . .

  • Yamaoka is a badly designed map for both sides and requires a rework, while the Sanctum of Wrath variant is too dark and should be brightened.

  • Mmm, pineapple pizza. With extra salty ham and a spicy tomato sauce. That's God's gift right there.

  • I don't get it. Why are players thinking that the 'nerf' to gen speed is adding a massive amount of time? It's not. It's a few seconds with multiple people, not half a minute. Gens are still going to pop quickly, just not so quickly at the start of a match.

  • Personally, I 'may' do this if they have similar names, or I know for a fact they're SWF. Mainly because I have experiences where they do this, wait till the last possible second, and throw in a bunch of items all at once.

Normally, though. nah. It's only a minute wait. I've been in survivor lobbies, though, where they blast each other for not readying up. Fun times.

  • Out of curiosity, why do you consider yourself a killer main with only fifteen hours? That's like enjoying a pineapple pizza once and declaring it your favorite topping (which I would applaud you for. Pineapple and ham is the best topping).

But really, it's a FB group. Who cares. Much like some streamers with the NOED war. Doesn't really effect things on the whole.

  • Imagine complaining about a perk that the survivors can dictate whether it activates or not. . .

  • @Spannungsstoß Nurse was already a high skill ceiling killer. It took hundreds of hours to actually become really good with her. It was her addons that made her simple. And she already had a cooldown. Her fatigue. Instead of reworking that, they simply slapped a cooldown on her cooldown and called it a day. She doesn't need two.

  • It's a killer problem, as stated. Look how long the sound bug was in game for. It's simply not important to them to respond an a speedy matter.

  • Nah. Since I've been playing a lot of Trapper recently, I just set a trap at the locker and giggle.

But really, it depends how far along the match is. One or two gens pop, I'll pull them out and eat the DS. If they have a key, I'll give chase and put them in the ground if possible.

  • Seriously? I've been told many times Devour is trash, ESPECIALLY when it gets to 5 and I start to mori survivors.

All survivors need to do is cleanse five totems. That's it. Somehow, that's too difficult?

O wait, Ruin was nerfed because survivors couldn't hit skill checks. I forgot. Carry on.

  • If a bug occurs that we can all laugh at. Other than that, none. Not for a game like this.

  • Because survivors couldn't hit skill checks.

Listen, if a killer chases a survivor and they start to use the "God loops", then that's on the killer. They should go find an easier target. Just because things don't go your way as a killer, it should be taken away. Why don't the devs just make a wide open space map and let you killers slug everybody so you can stop whining and shut up. The game offers environments that are taken advantage of by both survivor and killer and in the games I play, I win and I lose. If you're constantly losing as killer, either get better or play survivor. Enough of the whining because you can't adjust to make your skill better.

It's the killers fault that the survivor runs for the completely safe loop? Right. . .

  • Just had an Ash DC against my Wraith not five minutes in. Then the survivors bm me in post game chat for being 'boring.'

  • Nurse, I hope. So they can get around to fixing her.

  • I'd rather have BT and DS reworked before DH, but I have had a few cases where I've had a chase down, only for a DH into a pallet. Can be annoying, and sometimes down right frustrating, but there are other perks that need attention before DH.

  • God, yes, PLEASE! Or at least lower the volume on the standard tracks. Doc's new theme is okay. I don't like it, but at least it's lower. Not a fan of how loud ambient sounds are, such as Lerrys.

  • Poised. Leaving no scratch marks in the end game is pretty powerful. You would need to slap a duration on it, say, five seconds or so.

  • Claudette, so I don't have to rip my hair out looking for that Blendette.

Spirit, because she didn't deserve what happened to her.

  • Plague, with her Vile Emetic and Black Incense. Absolutely delicious.

  • Personally, I wouldn't even try. Stand by the gate, let them do gens, open it for them, and go sit in the basement or something.

How is it acceptable on Trapper? He relies on his traps just as much as she does.

  • How are you 'red ranks' if Ruin is your complaint? That's like a red ranked killer complaining about fire crackers.

  • @Shocktober said:

    "Boosted killers don't exist"

Tell that to all the freddy, spirit, and hag mains lol. Huntress is pretty bad with the hitboxes nailing you around corners too.

I hit a rank 1 facecamping NOED nurse today who gets run for 4 gens by one guy, then gets to facecamp out like 3+ hooks (because nobody wants to let the guy who did all the work die) and still gets 2 kills even though we actually got to key out the hatch. Probably would have been a 3-4k had they gotten to use the NOED.

So I disagree, pretty much all you have to do as killer is stand in front of the hook with a 1 shot and you are guaranteed 2-3 kills if you combine it with NOED and literally every survivor isn't running BT/DS.

Playing viable killers makes them boosted. What a load of crock. For every corner hit from Huntress, there's an equal amount of hatchets that simply stop at one pixel's worth of splintered wood.

If four gens are done within one chase, why is that a bad thing? You could have simply buckled down, finished the last, and left. Or broke bones. The fact that four gens were done doesn't even ring 'face camping' to me. They probably assumed the last gen would be done in three seconds. Or they knew one of you had the key, and were trying to be heroes. That's on you.

A killer is only 'guaranteed' kills if survivors allow it, IF they're face camping. Do your gens, leave. Dude being face camped is doing his part by keeping the killers attention. Why this is such a big deal is beyond me.

Again, with NOED. Here's a news flash. If the killer is face camping, they are leaving the map alone. You know what you can do in that time?

    Break. Bones.

    Woah. . .

If he didn't depip in that match, then he was doing something right. I'm guessing you lot were hanging around, waiting for the save so you could use the key, and they knew it. Instead of doing the smart thing, either doing the gen or using the hatch, you stuck around.

Then you go and say a killer is overpowered. Uh huh.

I like object the way it is. It doesn’t need a rework not a change. It’s not OP.

I play both roles equally and as killer this perk doesn’t bother me. OoO isn’t powerful it’s just simply just gives information just like any other aura perk. And it does work both ways. As killer you know where a survivor is and survivor you know where killer is.

Except it's a hard counter to Trapper and Hag. Since OoO is mainly a SWF tool, it's not 'just' and aura info perk. No, it doesn't work both ways. The survivor can hide their aura pretty easily. 'IF' they removed that, so that the killer can see them at any time, much like survivor can killer, then we would be talking.
