Dude, you're playing killer. Thus, like the rest of us killer players, you're a masochist!

Why would we see changes after talking to survivors?
Force? Coerce? Persuade? Whatever term needs to be applied. The issue is that DS, DH, Adren, BT, and Unbreakable are meta. You will find at least two or three of those perks on nearly every build. I do, when it comes to purple/red rank survivors. There's no real exploration of other builds in high ranks. Killers build around it with gen slowdown and aura reading, and we're stuck in the limbo we've been in for months.
Maybe builds will change with the new map adjustments? Personally, I'd love to go against more survivors with stealth builds. Or even usage of the almighty pebble? Always get a chuckle when that's used on me.
-
Tell survivors to stop running the same meta build every time and try something new, like killers had to with the loss of Ruin. Maybe then we'll see some changes.
-
So. . . you think god loops and massive maps are 'balanced?'

Except that there are no true ways to counter a mori, keys have responses that don't even demand a mori.
How you counter it doesn't matter, at least in this area. Keys and moris are both meant to end the game sooner than it would have. I know from my own experience how titled I can get if I'm actually in a good match, a lot of back and forth, when somebody pops a key and I black pip. It's annoying.
Again, this is just about the intention of the item, not any sort of balancing for it.
-
Keys are meant to end the match sooner than it should/may have. If you go in with one, then chances are, you expect to be able to use it. Usually with a coordinated SWF. While I won't face camp you, I will tunnel you to ensure that key isn't used.
It's similar to a mori in that regard. Both are meant to end the game sooner than anticipated. Different ways of going about it, but the end effect remains the same.
-
@Aven_Fallen Let him start with two, then put the rest into either chests or lockers, so he can reload.
-
I share with you. . . perfection!!!
But no, first actual perfect game I've ever done with Plague. Wasn't easy, but it can be done.
I agree, though, the emblem system needs to either change or adapt to her.
-
An earlier match. My matches range from this to some red and purples, to even browns and yellows when somebody is in a swf.
Chat was just for salty flavor, if you need the iodine in your diet.
My last match was rank 5 - 6, so not 'as' bad.
-
What's stopping? Common courtesy.
-
I like how you blame dead zones, which the devs have said they're looking into, as killers fault.
-
It's just as you said. Don't let it pair with extra hatchet addons. Problem solved. People that keep trying to add conditions to her only iri addons tend to forget that it's a one shot, then she plays as an M1 killer with no power, or has to give up chase to reload.
-
You forget to have Dweet here teabag at their first panicked pallet drop, you mind game them, down them, THEN the DC. Followed by them spectating the entire match, just to bm you for ~Insert broken survivor rule here~.
-
If you bring Iron Will, you're practically invisible in that corn. . . god, I hate the corn. Can't really say anything else about it, haven't gotten the map yet.

People have just to keep complain until they remove the AA and they allow us to modify some things in the .ini so bad pc can still play the game .
BHVR has a track record of being incredibly slow making changes. How long have god loops been a thing, for example?
-
Wait. . . tin foil hat time.
Maybe, just maybe, the devs have planned nerfs for him, but know the outrage it would cause. So instead, they make him a walking bug simulator right now, and when they get around to making the fixes, the 'keep' some, modified of course so as not to look buggy, claiming they like it better that way.
-
My only real issue is EGC, where it can give an easy escape.
-
From personal experience, TTV usually means a bully squad. They do things with their buddies to get views, and the best way to do that is make a joke out of the killer, or even the solo on their team.
That's not always the case. I'm sure there are solo streamers out there looking to make a name for themselves, but I've gone against enough toxic streamers to not risk it. If I see a TTV, I've got a silent bell Wraith and mori with your TTV name on it.

Only if you care. What would you suggest instead if he runs into one of those teams? Disconnect?
The best and only solution is to not care if they try to bully or not and simply try to give its best.
I wasn't referring to the toxic portion itself, such as teabagging, I was referring to the playstyle in general. Where they will all attempt to bait you into chases, weaponize head on, vault spam when they don't have your attention, and so on. Learning to play against that as a baby Nurse, vs normal gameplay, is something else entirely. Though a good Nurse can mop the floor with that, actually getting to that point is the challenge.
-
@xEa said:
Why do you give a f if it is a bully fest or not? You want to practice the Nurse, so just dont care if you win or loose. Play your game, learn the blinks and expect that you will loose.
On top of that, the best way to practice is to verse people who know how to play against Nurse. Getting stomped as a Nurse beginner is totally normal.
Because there's a difference in learning against a normal team, and a team out to make your life miserable.

It only increases the vertical FOV, you can only see more from the top and bottom of the screen. You can't see more from the sides. Which is what's important really.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1234708#Comment_1234708
Exploit? It's literally just changing your resolution.
I don't need to see the pictures, I also play with stretched res. Yes, it does give a bit of an advantage on certain loops but it's really not that big of a deal. You can run the killer around just as well with the regular res.
And seriously, where do you draw the line with this? Increasing your brightness and sharpness through Nvidia Freestyle or Reshade also give you an advantage, should those not be allowed as well then?
'It does give a bit of an advantage on certain loops.'
I ran one red light, it wasn't that big a deal. Really, a 'bit of an advantage' is still an advantage.
-
Which is why the first thing you need to do on the map is knock down at least two walls in the saloon. Usually on your way to the furthest gen.
-
What do you have against Vommy Mommy?
Then you have Daddy Myers, of course.
-
I hate it when I go and play my Plague when survivors use the Ormond map offering, it's no fair or fun.

its not cherry picking, THEY WONT NERF SWF in any way that would satisfy killers which are asking for swf nerf (i dont want swf nerf i want soloQ buff so more ppl would play solo), they wont nerf swf at all because thats their main way to get more players
imagine if strong swf nerf would happen, ppl that were playing swf just wont play game xd so you will have much less survs, and not only those swf will stop playing, those players that played half solo half swf will stop because their swf friends stopped
most killers that are asking for swf nerfs are those that in PBE patch notes saw prove thyself buff but they didnt saw 2/3 men gen nerf
It's cherry picking when you only take half a statement, and ignore the other half. I did not mention nerfs. I understand you can't nerf SWF in a meaningful way. That doesn't mean you can't buff solos, and then killers, however. Kindred was a good show of that. Unfortunately, the devs ran out of steam with the one buff. Just goes to show what little foresight they had when implementing SWF.
At the very least, they could simply bump up BP rewards when a SWF is involved, which is increased by each member, so that the solos and killer get something out of it. AND slap a SWF icon on the members in the post game lobby screen, so I know who really was a SWF, and who was just really good solos.
-
@Galklife said:
fixing swf? nah
banning ppl for toxic comments in post game chat - i would love to see that
why im telling there is no "fixing swf" because there is nothing to fix?
1st they wont remove or nerf it
2nd they wont buff soloQ (i know they are talking about it) because:
a) when there was bug that made survs see ranks of your teammates they fixed it because they didnt want you to know before game youre gonna play with rank 15 teammate when youre in red ranks
b) on soloQ on mobile you can see your future teammates perks (unless que is instant) (i know i know you can tell we dont have locked build before game but whats the problem to lock build and in the same time be able to lvl up other character or just dont touch anything) most ppl would love to see that, but we wont get it
c) remember when ppl were asking to make kindred basekit for soloQ? devs told no
soloQ is too weak, 4men swf is too strong, but noone is willing to even slightly buff soloQ, soo amount of swf will only go up, because soloQ is miserable
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1235019#Comment_1235019
"devs should never have allowed swf to be a thing" so in your opinion "devs should let their game die" because without swf their game will die, (party game without being able to play in party) xd
Thank you for cherry picking. Wonderful way to continue a discussion. Let me repeat what I said.
'Devs should never have allowed SWF to be a thing, at least without serious consideration into how to balance it.'
You have an asymmetrical game based around the lack of information. The player needs to gather that information during the match, from interacting and experience. That is the nature of the game. To give survivors the power to negate that via comms, without first implementing some form of balancing to equalize all parties involved, was extremely short sighted in terms of balance.
I'm not against SWF, at least the idea. I'm against how little they've done to make adequate balance changes.
-
@Chaosbeing said:
SWF doesn't mean "toxic". But you're more likely to be toxic when you're with your friends and they can save you in a reliable way. What should be fixed with SWF is all the informations they can get. Informations in this game is ALL. I play both sides, and it's just broken, how many information i get when we're SWF.
But mate, not every SWF is toxic. Some guys just want have fun.
In a game like this? They have fun at the killers expense. Toxic or no, that's just how it is.
Devs should never have allowed SWF to be a thing, at least without serious consideration into how to balance it. Not really sure how you can even balance it in the first place. Devs have shown they don't really know either. At the very least, they could just bump up the bp gained by killer and solos, depending on how many members are in the swf. If I'm going to be bullied, I'd at least like to be paid for it.
-
'Keys aren’t even commonly ran by survivors.' Neither are mori's, unless you're in the low ranks, because they're cool. When in high ranks, they destroy your score, so they aren't a common sight.
They are comparable, because they both end the game quicker than it would have. It doesn't matter how it's accomplished, both are meant for easier wins on both sides.
-
Does it get under your skin? Then they succeeded. It'll never stop.
-
You do realize that face camping is Bubba's god given right, correct? It's the reason the Almighty created and thus placed Bubba on this Earth. His sole purpose in this existence is to face camp. The fact that you were chosen to be apart of his life is a blessing. Embrace it!
The devs have already said camping is a strategy. Not a particularly good one, but it's a tool. Do gens. If you don't want to, then die on hook and move on. Bubba is trash tier. Some people can make him work, but for the most part, he's just there to camp.
Just out of curiosity, you yourself just said 'facecamping and camping itself is not bannable or punishable.' If that's the case, why would doing it to one, two, three, or four survivors change any of that?
-
I know I like to use NOED on my Plague, as an insurance for EGC cleansing. Yet on chainsaw killers? Couldn't hazard to guess.

And there it is. Can't have a normal conversation without these people.
Because the answer is just so incredibly easy to understand. What more than 'cleanse totems' is there to be said? That's all that needs to be done. No complicated bits or bobs about it. Stop making mountains out of mole hills, here.
-
Not as it is now. Seeing as the primary focus is running around junk, you'd have to rebuild the game from the bottom up.
Now, they could bring back some of the more horror-esque bits. Watching old vids, I actually feel the old graphics gave more of a horror vibe than the new, brighter graphics.

It shouldn't be a Hex Perk.
There should be a way to make it fair for both sides without making it a Hex Perk.
Maybe make it work like Pop and Blood Echo when you hook someone is automatically does it to all gens for like...30 seconds or something.
Just drop it to 150% effectiveness, instead of 200%.
-
Not one time, just the latest. This one simply stood out more because I was actually enjoying the match, at least when I could keep them away from the god loop. And no, wasn't slugged for that 4k. They were simply hitting the god loop over and over by that point. Finally had them both together, so only one could get through the window. Which is when the second dc'ed.
-
I remember mine. Was on Old Lerrys, maybe eight or nine months ago. Was playing Nurse, had two survivors left. Couldn't find them, as they weren't doing gens. Match went on for 45 minutes. Finally found one getting into a locker too slowly. Grabbed, hooked. In post game chat, apparently both wanted the hatch, but wasn't willing to let the other have it. So, I sympathize.

Seems like a lot of work to lose all stacks. You have to find your obsession three times to get the full benefit, only to lose it on one down?
-
If you want to enjoy Clown, then you have to accept you're going to lose most every game. He simply does not have the map pressure to be viable. As said, if you're hooking people, than Surge and PoP are your best bet, but other than that, it comes down to the skill of the survivors.
-
He announces to the map what he's doing. He can't recycle portals, so if there's one in a dead zone, it's almost worthless. His Shred, arguably his strongest ability, is used to bait most of the time. He's not bad, just not great.
-
I am annoyed that this list is neither in alphabetical or numerical order. . .
With that said, i'm surprised Doc isn't higher up there.
-
It's harder to rank, and maintain that rank, as a killer. Survivors become more skilled, and with the current map sizes, it's a real challenge juggling everything with killers that have low mobility.I know I constantly move between red and purple, simply because it's exhausting putting 110% into every match.
-
Fix her bugs. You'd think, when she was being handled, that would be the time to do it, but I suppose it wasn't a priority for the devs. Makes me think the bugs are intentional.
Her addon rework seemed to be half baked. Like they weren't even trying. Much like Demo's addons. Half are useless, a quarter are memes, and the final quarter are what you need to make her work. I agree that omega blink should never have been a thing, but come on. Gutting the majority? Lazy.
Then her cooldown, which is just a cooldown on top of a cooldown. How is that not a lazy cop out?
Some rework ideas. Keep her cooldown, but remove her fatigue. Honestly, a stun simulator isn't very fun to play. I'd be more agreeable if I wasn't looking at the ground half the match, either from a bad blink or her bugs forcing me into it.
Apply the cooldown, but only after a successful blink attack. That way, she maintains her movement based style withought having being hamstrung by a double cooldown, but also giving survivors a chance to escape after they've been hit.
Give her only one blink, no cooldown, and 110% movement.

Close to mine. Spirit fury / enduring / corrupt / monitor. Can't use slowdown perks if you don't get downs.
Why use M&A when you can hear him coming from half the map away?

theres no drawback to being able to instantly down survivors at range
If she can hit you at range, then she isn't an 'average' killer player.
-
Depends on the survivor setup. Two or more health kits? Plague. TTV? Wraith with Coxcombed Clapper and a mori. Two or more toolboxes? Doc. A full on sweaty SWF build? Dodge, as I don't want that toxicity.
Usually, though, it's just Plague. I love her.
-
Why would you nerf Huntress. . . Iri head is fine as it is, just don't let it stack with Infantry Belt. Then she sticks with her one shot potential.
-
It can feel that way when it's used to bully, especially on newer/inexperienced killers. Overpowered, it is not, but still. There are survivors who think BBQ is op, so it exists on both sides.
-
Devs can't. They either A) Don't know how, B) Don't care too, or C) Know how, but won't put in the time/effort/money/imagination to do so.

Talking to friends to communicate = cheating?
Someone tell those running CSGO, Siege, Overwatch, DOTA, League, Valorant, and every other game ever made
In a game based around lack of communication, of gathering knowledge as the match progresses, and working off that? Yes, Comms breaks that.
