They should just make a version of the firecrackers that's not an event item. That and give it some addons. When's the last time there was a new item added?
-
Make it work on not just basic attacks and the perk would be pretty good. Reduced recovery speed makes much more sense than slower crawling speed.

Pins are mediocre addons, and Frank's Mixtape and SWS are garbage and borderline useless, but the detection addons are actually REALLY good. Not as good as duration of course, but still pretty good. A big part of Legion's power is the information you gain from stabbing someone.
Frank's Mixtape is my favourite meme addon but Stab Wounds Study does basically nothing. 5 seconds of Deep Wound doesn't even cover one Mixtape stab. If it was 7.5 seconds it'd be so much better.
-
Overwhelming Presence
This perk is way too situational to be useful, and even when you can get it to proc, it doesn't do all that much.
It'd be cool to have a different type of anti-item perk, but it'd have to be made much stronger to compete with Franklin's Demise.

what perks did they say we’re getting buffed again? I know there buffing Gearhead, Blood echo, lucky break and Fixated
Iron Maiden, Gearhead, Fixated, Blood Echo, Lucky Break and Dead Hard were on the list. They'll be recieving an update soon™.

T1 Myers is barely faster than you, just running directly away from him will take up a huge chunk of his time. His lunge range is practically nothing as well. Don't try to hide at all as he can constantly see you when stalking. Keep checking every way he can come from while on a gen or healing so he doesn't get the drop on you.
-
I like some of the new addons, but the Overheat mechanic was 100% not needed. The fact that they removed the cooldown addons sucks as well.
-
There were a series of perk changes in the last mid-chapter update. The Devs have listed some perks that they'd like to address in the future, but no indication of when this will happen.

I am excited to see what changes we will face in the future: D I hope all your dreams come true <3 Some love to demogorgon would be also nice <3
Well good news, Demogorgon was confirmed to be the next killer to be getting tweaks after Clown in the latest Q+A stream.

This will not happen as some where very unhappy about playing that kind of Freddy.
The only way to resurrect that Power would be to rebalance it so its fun for survivors too.
BHVR thought it was better to replace the entire power.
Are you saying Freddy was unfun to play or unfun to play against? I can't tell.

Back in 2018 nobody predicted the alchemist to be released in later years as a killer.
So the Obersever becoming a playable killer in the future isn't impossible imo.
Yeah, that's what I thought. If they released the Alchemist then it's possible that the Observer might become a killer one day.

Can I also ask for a petition to bring Old Doctor back? He was weak as hell (arguably the weakest killer at the time) and 3 gens against him were terrible, but hitting good shocks with him was so much more satisfying than with current Doc. Now his skill ceilling dropped a lot because hitting shock therapies became really easy, especially if you just spam them.
Old Doctor was the first killer that I played and the one I made to rank 1 for the first time, I miss these days.
I personally don't wanna play old Doc, but the Static Field was cool. He feels a lot less clunky to play now though.

I was hoping old freddy would remain as an addon but alas. To be fair 98% of people would still stick with new Freddy. He's a free BP/win generator. They'd play one game as old freddy, get their asses handed to them and switch back.
Yeah, he wasn't a killer for everyone, I still have hope he'll come back one day though.

I do not.

Why do people simp for old freddy? He was so bad he had his own tier in tier lists. literally called "freddy tier"
Even when I tried him before he was changed he felt horrible. You couldn't hit people before you put them to sleep, allowing them time to make it to a loop. Even the slowdown given by sleeping survivors could be taken away by simply waking up.
Freddy had quite a few obvious downsides, but if you were able to micromanage and constantly keep the whole team asleep you'd have great tracking and slowdown. Plus his small Terror Radius allowed you to sneak up on people when you knew exactly where they were. The Dream Transition did have potential as not just a downside though, if you remembered what times you were visible and invisible, you could mindgame the survivors. That was an advanced technique though, and BHVR should've indicated your visibility instead of leaving players to have to remember it.
I loved how different his playstyle was personally. If you tried to play him like a regular killer, his downsides would really hurt you. If you played to his strengths, he was a pretty good killer.

I love this. At least let us play older versions of Killers in custom games
That'd be pretty neat. Unfortunately the Devs have said that custom games aren't really used that much, so changes to them aren't that high priority.

They'll never do this now or else it'll seem like they're bribable
I was once arrested for trying to avoid a tax fraud charge with half a pack of Ready Salted Crisps. I got let off with a warning after he tried one of them. It's a very effective strategy.
But for real, I don't think a packet of Cheese and Onion crisps from a random person on the internet is the same as a briefcase full of money from the Canadian Mafia.

I’m 90% sure that they’ll just rework the jump rope and swing chains add-ons to be useless. And probably change the default sleep timer from 60 seconds to 90 seconds.
Well, I can still hope they add Old Freddy back someday.
-
Yeah, I mainly agree with these points. Freddy has a bad early and late game due to his power not being at his full potential. He for sure needs an addon pass as well. I don't really struggle too much against a Freddy, he's a strong killer but I don't think he's overpowered. His easy to use basekit is probably what accounts for the high kill rate.
All that aside, I just wanna play the old Freddy again. Please BHVR bring him back :(

After Victor is attached to a survivor, possibly grant a 5 second haste status to charlotte? This way she can catch up to the attacked survivor better.
Instead of giving Charlotte extra movement speed, how about making it so Charlotte sees Killer Instinct or reveal the survivor's aura after have hit the survivor with Victor?
Yeah, that'd be great. If they reduced the stun upon waking up as well, I'd consider playing her again.
-
Maybe increase the duration slightly, other than that, I wouldn't really change it. It's a good perk as it is.

I have found that Orzdarva is a Survivor shill - He said the other day about how Mori's needed a nerf. Sure if you are a big time streamer with thousands of hours in the game. He has lost touch with new players and is just focusing on abusing and min/maxing. New killers needed Mori to stand a chance or to even the odds against redrank SWF. If I see someone with a key - I brought a mori. A group of flashlights? Mori. 4 toolboxes? you guessed it MORI. Now I have nothing.
I don't understand what you mean when you say that Otz is a "survivor shill", he plays mostly killer. Just because he said an overpowered offering was overpowered and needed nerfing doesn't mean he's "shilling".
In regards to what Firebrand said about killers starting out with bad perks, there's a really good perk on the Shrine of Secrets right now called "Pop Goes the Weasel", it's for sure worth the 2000 iri shards if you have them. Pop is really good for defending gens.
-
Allow the perk to gain tokens while in a chase and raise the token cap to 5, then it'd be somewhat decent.
-
Hmm, I'm not sure about falling asleep in the terror radius, that's the whole reason why Doc was changed.
How about we make it an active ability, being able to put a survivor to sleep after tagging them with a beam. It'd be even cooler if Freddy would phase in and out of being visible while they were falling asleep, and if they couldn't be hit while awake, just like in the movies. They shouldn't be able to see Freddy at all (or hear his terror radius) when they're awake, that'd make for a surprise when he appears behind you.
Outdoor Rope slowdown wouldn't be enough with this system though, how about 50% slowdown instead? You know, they'd be really tired, so that'd make repairing things harder.
Perhaps you'd be able to see asleep survivors outside of your terror radius, for extra tracking.
It'd also be cool if there was a cool effect when you tagged someone with Sleep, kinda like this:
It'd be cool if BHVR would make a killer like this, I'm sure this concept has never been tried before, and even if they'd somehow done this with a previous iteration of Freddy, I think they should bring it back.
Wouldn't that be cool?
Please? :(

Spirit is still great without Stridor. Even without hearing survivors in pain, you can still hear their footsteps and see them moving grass.
-
Shhhhhh, don't tell them!
-
Hex: Ruin is still really helpful, it doesn't provide any passive slowdown but it massively rewards killers for applying Map Pressure. If you have enough people occupied doing other things, all of the generators will regress back to zero really fast. Reworked Ruin is probably more consistent at applying slowdown at higher ranks than Old Ruin, as Old Ruin could be countered by hitting the skillchecks.
Besides, a lot has changed since Ruin was nerfed. A lot of the maps were shrunk. God Windows were removed pretty much entirely. There were changes to how safe maps were. Not to mention that toolboxes were (rightly) nerfed into the ground.
Don't get me wrong, I thought Ruin was a pretty neat perk as well, but the rework was overall healthier for the game in the end.
-
Number one would probably be the Twins for me. Their power feels so punishing to miss and it takes AGES to use. A 3 second stun when switching back to Charlotte (even after a successful hit) really hurts. Maybe after some tweaks they could be fun.
My second least favourite killer to play as is probably Myers. He takes way too long to get going and even then his Tier 3 power isn't that significant. If I wanted to one shot down for a minute I'd run Haunted.

Appraisal's loss of the changing of rarity on items found was a technical issue. The loot tables are buried deeply in a bunch of systems, and adding a new loot table below the current lowest caused problems elsewhere.
Whether this feature will return is under discussion, and is affected by the amount of work necessary to adjust the loot system to support it. We've seen the feedback and consider it "high on the community wish list".
Thanks for the insight, it's always good to hear the reasoning behind why a change was made.

Bringing back Old Freddy.
-
If they add a way to play as the pre-rework Freddy I'll be happy.
The BT bypass is kinda dumb with Freddy, but the teleport fakes I don't think need to be removed imo.
-
Balanced Landing, probably. That's the only balanced thing in the game I can think of.
-
I mean, Freddy's Z Block addon is a decent haemorrhage addon, it shouldn't be purple though.

This is a really cool concept, I'd love for BHVR to add a proper area denial killer like this. The secondary ability is really cool as well.
-
I'm just wondering when they're going to add a way to play as the Old Freddy for those of us who want to.

I'd definitely consider running the perk if it was changed this way. It really needs more than 5 uses.

I just hope they bring old Freddy back in some way
(yes this is the obligatory Old Freddy comment on every Freddy thread)

Thanks for the summary! I'm glad the devs answered my question :D

We have this discussion like once every week can you please just ######### stop?
Killer main. Old freddy main. I love the lad to death (not his personality, don't ######### children) and his gameplay was amazing fun for me. I reached rank 1, had a blast, etc.
But he was weak as #########.
The only reason I used to win as old Freddy is because of old Hex:Ruin. Without that every game was a loss; generators went too fast and you had nothing to help you in a chase.
Can we please lay old Freddy to rest and let him stay there? We don't need him back. We don't need an add-on to bring him back. He can just say where he is- in the grave- forever. Time has moved on. Devs have deleted code. End of. Goodbye Freddy.
No.

New player here, mostly a Freddy main, and I've seen some old videos of Freddy gameplay and I like the method of having to pull a survivor into the dream with you compared to passive map-wide sleeping. Why was he changed exactly?
People mainly complained about the Dream Transition period, which meant you had to wait 7 seconds before you could hit them (by default). However, you wouldn't be visible for the entire time, so good Freddy players would use this to mindgame the survivor by feeding them fake information when visible and going a different way when invisible.
Freddy had quite a different playstyle to the rest of the other killers, if you tried to play him like any other killer, his disadvantages were very obvious. However, good Freddy players that played to his strengths made him very capable.
-
You should be able to drag downed survivors to safety. Maybe you move them at a speed in-between walking and running and the survivor on the ground can recover at the same time.
This'd allow you to get your downed teammates to a safer place, be that for healing or pallet saving.
-
I think we should just add Old Freddy back.
