His lunge can be buggy sometimes, but his Frenzy speed is fine I think.

Well I would play Old Freddy over New Freddy in a heartbeat :P
-
I'd love it if Old Freddy came back, I'd play him all the time. He didn't need a full rework, just some tweaks.
Everyone wrote Freddy off as a bad killer due to not being able to stop actions happening in front of your face, but he had some big advantages to compensate. The Dream Transition was a great tool to be able to mindgame survivors, but this mindgame was really inaccessable due to the game not giving you any indication of if you were visible or not. Giving him a 16m terror radius would've also improved his ability to sneak up on people while they were out of position. Being able to keep everyone asleep as long as possible let you know where everyone was at all times. Even just giving him a way to interact with survivors that were holding M1 as they fell asleep would've made him so much better.
Freddy as he stands now is just a generic meta killer. It's a massive shame BHVR threw out everything that made him an original and unique killer to make him as efficient as possible. If BHVR's changes to Freddy consist of slowing him down when he places a snare or something, I'm going to be so mad. I hope they bring the Old Freddy back in some way when they come around to changing him.

I’m totally going to run this add on, hide in the basement, and when the survivors get curious enough to wonder where I am and find me, we’re gonna “party in the basement”
Oh my god, I have to do this if they release the addon as it is.

Clown’s perks would be the hardest to transfer into add ons.
An instant 25% gen regression for throwing a bottle at a gen would be out if the question.
He already has Sulphuric Vial for Mangled, so again, an add on that reduces healing speed by half like Coulrophobia would be out of the question, especially if that again was stacked with actual Coulrophobia and Sloppy or Sulphuric Vial.
Blocking a vault by throwing a bottle at it could be interesting, but again there would need to be strict limitations so it can’t be spammed, thus giving survivors no chance of escape at all.
I'm looking forward to the party bottles. They actually made a meme addon that wasn't just "your power is terrible now", they made one which is "your power is terrible now, but you have confetti to show for it".

My guess is that there will be 2 additional gas effects. One that is switched out from his standard tonic, and one that’s only produced when he mixes the 2 gas clouds together.
Yeah, that adds up with what they showed in the Q&A. One of the addons mentioned something about an "Afterpiece Antidote" as well. Seems interesting.
-
Yeah, I can't wait for the PTB. I wonder what they're gonna do with him.

They will probably buff some Clown's perks, Bamboozle will hopefully get one QoL change. (one of the effects the same at all tiers, 15 % or 16 seconds)
PGTW already got changed, so it will probably stay the same.
Coulrophobia will probably finally get buffed somehow.
inb4 they somehow make Bamboozle only proc on Basic Attacks.

Most of these ideas will be taken from the Old Freddy, as he was my favourite iteration of the killer.
Alright, here we go:
Dream Mechanics
- Restore the old method of pulling survivors into the dream
Survivors will no longer passively fall asleep. Instead, Freddy will pull them into the Dream with an active ability. Freddy will no longer be able to interact with survivors who are awake.
- Restore the Dream's Aura Reading and Action Speed Penalty
For those of you who don't know, asleep survivors had a 50% action speed penalty and could be seen by Freddy while being outside of his terror radius.
- Give Freddy a way to interact with survivors during the Dream Transition
The biggest issue with Freddy pre-rework was his inability to immediately stop survivors from performing an action if they were awake. Giving him some way to stop these actions would make him so much better.
- Add an indication of Freddy's current visibility during the Dream Transition
Freddy would periodically turn invisible while the survivor was falling asleep. Advanced Freddy players would memorize the times of when he was invisible and use this to mindgame survivors. Adding some indication of when you are invisible would remove the hurdle of having to remember these times and allow you to pull off the tricks that good Freddy mains were able to do.
- Remove the ability to wake up during the Dream Transition
Having a survivor self-care in your face and wake up before you could hit them was annoying.
Dream Powers
Dream Projection
Honestly, keep this one. Survivors who are awake shouldn't recieve any indication that he's teleporting or where he's teleporting to, however.
Dream Snares
I'm kinda undecided on this one. These might have to go simply due to the fact that we're running out of buttons to give abilities to. However, if they were to stay, they should be less effective.
Addons
These, like most other ideas, are taken from the Old Freddy. A comparison between his Old and New addons can be found here. Addons that I wouldn't change aren't listed.
Red Paint Brush
Remove the Movement Speed penalty and remove the Dream Transition reduction time. The 8m terror radius is good by itself.
Black Box
A terrible addon pre-rework (unless you were running Dying Light and an Ivory Mori), I think the newer iteration of this addon is better. However, having a 50% decrease to every action for the entire game is really unfun. Here's my idea with this addon:
- You become Obsessed with one survivor
- The obsession starts the trial in the Dream World
- Tremendously Reduces the Dream Transition for the Obsession. Time to fall asleep reduced by 4 seconds.
- Does not stack
The Dress Series
The effects of these addons didn't match up over the tiers. The Green Dress had a greater decrease in skill check chance, but an increased Dream Transition time. Just swap the effects of the Green and Blue dress, while removing the Dream Transition penalty to normalize the scaling.
The Rope Addons
Maybe make these do something else? I'm undecided on this though. These could affect the generator teleportation instead.

Meh...
I do perfectly fine 95% of the time with Clown or Doc in reds by running Coulrophobia, Sloppy, Overwhelming Presence (or Forced Penance), and Unnerving Presence.
Just wondering, why would you take Overwhelming Presence over Franklin's Demise as an anti-item perk?
-
I don't notice any difference, I still get hit by things that shouldn't really connect when I'm playing survivor, especially around pallets and windows.
-
God no, postgame chat is already bad enough.
-
Idk why but people just generally hate Freddy. He's not that annoying imo.
That aside if they don't add in a way to play Old Freddy when they change him I'm going to go feral.

Here's a cool idea I had the other day:

Don't forget about Fire Up, that'll make kicking pallets and vaulting even faster.

Old Legion is extremely horrifying and lethality is what made him OP and unfun in the first place.
Personally since his power's lethality has been completely removed, I'd say remove the dumb things that causes him to lose his power like picking up survivors and missing attacks. Being an all-seeing annoyance isn't exactly amazing so I don't see how letting Legion keep his power gauge full is gonna make him broken.
The thing that made Legion unfun was the terrible design around the Deep Wound mechanic, enabling the moonwalking exploit (which was thankfully removed). The fact that Legion can't see Blood trails in Frenzy anymore and is actually punished for missing their attack would be good changes if they readded lethality.
-
Restore Deep Wound damage on Legion and then the status effect will become a lot more dangerous.
-
Nurse is absolutely insane and only balanced by the fact that you have to dedicate 100s of hours before you can stomp people. Probably not the best thing to balance a killer around to be honest.
Spirit basekit is very strong in chase and has pretty much no counterplay when run with certain perks. That's not even getting into some of the insane addons (Mother-Daughter Ring, Yakuyoke Amulet etc.).
I honestly don't think Freddy is overpowered, if you stay awake he loses his chase power and has his teleport severely reduced. However, this does require coordination. He's a very strong killer with an easy to use, versatile kit, but I wouldn't say he's overpowered. I still want Old Freddy back though, BHVR pls :(
There's some killers with very problematic addons. Mint Rag, Iri Head+Infantry Belt, Redhead's Pinky Finger, Alchemist's Ring, Tampered Timer + Jigsaw Sketch. However, these are not used in every game with the respective killers.

Underperformed would definitely be like an anti-resilience, where everything the survivor does is done slower. Everything meaning vaulting repairs sabo healing etc. Everything.
Detention would need a bit of thought but honestly I could see it working like PH's cages. You can send them to a place of "Detention" which would be like a hook state etc etc. As for something else it'd do, I don't know.
I like the idea of the anti-resilience. Having a perk that decreased vaulting speeds would be a first.

Dragon's Grip. It's an absolute monster on Hag and Freddy.
Yeah, Dragon's Grip is nuts on Freddy, I can consistantly get at least 1 insta-down per match with it, if not more.
-
A pretty cool idea. I'd either remove the Hex or the activation conditions though, having both seems a bit too excessive. If it's a Hex it should always be up and if it has an activation condition like that it shouldn't be a Hex.

I... y'know you are one of the only people I've seen who likes Frank's Mix Tape. Just curious, what about it do you like? Because I look at it and I just... can't see it working. You need to Frenzy stab someone with deep wounds 4 times with a 24s cool down (ignoring rulers) each time for just one down. Just... how is that useful?
I like downing people in Frenzy. That's about it really. It's absolutely not useful, and needs a buff to the damage it causes, but it's so fun to use.
I know I'm not alone in my appreciation of Frank's Mix Tape, just ask @Tatariu

@FFirebrandd said:
In all honesty, I very much enjoy how Legion currently plays. I might be in the minority there, but yeah.
In my opinion, they only need a handful of base kit buffs and an add on pass.
For Base Kit, they need to not lose half their power on a successful M1, or lose their whole power on picking someone up in Frenzy. Maybe lower the charge time some? Like I legit don't know why Frenzy has a 20 second recharge time. It isn't strong enough for that slow of a charge.
For Add Ons, Franks Mix Tape and Stab Wound Study need to do something else completely. Fuming Mix Tape at the very least needs to keep Gens visible after stabbing someone with Frenzy. Pins (other than iri) need a buff... maybe don't require Killer Instinct? Also I'd maybe like to see the detection range add ons buffed slightly so the brown is 8m, yellow is 12m, and green is 16 instead of the current 4/8/16.
Don't touch my Frank's Mix Tape D:< (unless it's to buff the damage >:D)
Stab Wound Study sucks though, if it reduced the time by 7.5 seconds instead of 5 then it'd actually be worth running with Frank's Mix Tape.
The base kit changes I agree with, losing half your power on an m1 sucks. It made sense for old Legion, but not when you can't even down anybody in Frenzy. 20 second charge time is stupid as well, that's worse than Spirit.
-
Here's what I would do:
- Restore the ability to cause Deep Wound damage when hitting a survivor in Feral Frenzy (-7.5 seconds)
- Restore the ability to use your power when it is 25% charged
The main issue with Legion's power was the exploits related to Deep Wound and chase mechanics. Anyone who moonwalked with Legion is an #########, but you can't do that anymore since Deep Wound doesn't go down unless the survivor stops running. Plus, you can actually juke a Legion into missing their swing, unlike the stabfest before. Legion also cannot see scratch marks OR blood pools while in Frenzy, giving you the ability to lose them easily unless highlighted with killer instinct, which you wouldn't be if you were suffering from Deep Wound.
- Increased Feral Frenzy cooldown when missing an attack (by around 0.5-1.0 seconds)
- Decreased Feral Frenzy cooldown when manually cancelling it or hitting a survivor (back to 3 seconds)
This is to provide more counterplay against Feral Frenzy. If a Legion misses a swing, you will get a significant amount of distance on them. However, the decreased cooldown on successful hits would reward the Legion for using their power well.

Dwight is 10/10 locker twink tbh
They haven't announced anything about it yet. They've said they want to make sure they do it right and not just make a token character.

That would be sick, I'd love to make a basement temple with Leatherface and guard it with my life.

I have honestly received worse. Play a basement Trapper against a flashlight/sabo swf and the chat would be so toxic your monitor would start to corrode.
Yeah, I can imagine. It's just the first time some dude has pre-typed a paragraph to insult me in the chat, he was ready to smash that enter button the second the game ended. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

@Huge_Bush said:
I hope you reported them, they deserve a ban, even if its only temporary. Something wrong with survivors in this game, the entitlement is extremely strong, and if things don't go their way, they just go crazy. I assumed this was a Mature rated game, but I think the majority of players are between 12-17.
I have over 2k hours in this game, and maybe 85% of it as solo survivor. I have never once had a killer wish for harm upon me and my family. The worst I have had was maybe 2-3 killers talk down to me for being a blendette. Survivors, on the other hand, have been the most toxic gamers I have ever played with. Doesn't matter which role I play, there is almost always someone toxic. These days, I have been getting lots of people who run the killer to me at the start of the match just to reveal where I am. I have had them block me in corners just to make crows appear.
If this game dies, it will be because of 3 things- Toxic Survivors, Terrible Matchmaking, and the Devs inability to make the game more fun and engaging.
Yeah, I reported them in game, don't worry. Hopefully they get banned. This is probably the worst post-game chat in terms of toxicity in all of my 1000 hours of playing.
-
Buff Frank's Mix Tape or make deep wound damage basekit again
-
Replace her with Old Freddy
For real though, some indication of when she's phasing and (roughly) where she is sometimes would be nice.

Azarov's Resting Place is probably the best map if you can hold a 3 gen.

yup.....but have in count that Legion's lunge it's pretty buggy right now.......
WHILE IN FRENZY:
-After vaulting a pallet or window ur lunge becomes rlly and i mean ReaLLY SHORT untill u start sprinting for 1.5 seconds after vaulting....
-Also when u are falling ur lunge becomes short untill u reach the ground and then start sprinting.....soo yeah ...be aware of the perk "balance landing" and dont try to hit the survivor early
-If u decide to stop and then start the lunge....congratulations ur lunge becomes short also....:/
Well that explains why my Frenzy lunges have been nonexistent sometimes lol
-
I'll list a few of my personal favourites:
Agitation
This perk saves you so much time you didn't even know you were wasting. Hooking someone is a really time-consuming action and this perk makes it so much faster. Plus you can get some hits on survivors who get too cocky and think they can outrun you.
Fire Up
This perk kinda sucks, but what redeems it is that it can stack with other perks. Want to obliterate pallets? Run it with Brutal Strength. Want to vault faster than you've ever vaulted before? Run it with Bamboozle (bonus points if you're Myers). Plus the extra pick up speed is so nice, I feel like I'm picking survivors up in slow motion at the beginning of the game.
Hex: The Third Seal
This perk has the reputation of being one of the worst Hex perks in the game. However, that doesn't mean that it still can't do some major damage. Once you get everyone blind, you can slug like mad, and the general sense of confusion people have is quite funny (I once had someone kill themselves on hook when someone was just coming for a rescue). However, this perk kinda sucks against SWF and gets it's tokens stripped when respawned by Undying. Not a great perk, but it's a fun one.
Blood Warden
It's very unreliable, but if you can get it to activate it can turn a losing match into a 4k. The definition of an Ace up the sleeve. One of my favourite perks in the game.
Slippery Meat
Are you a gambling man? Are you the first person to be hooked every time you run Deliverance? Do you fancy challenging death to a game of dice? Run Slippery Meat. You're gambling a hook stage with a 60% chance of losing, but boy is it fun when you yeet yourself off the hook. Absolutely terrible perk, loads of fun to run (but only when it works).
Windows of Opportunity
An amazing perk to run if you're solo. Having the knowledge of what resources have been used up by your team is a must have for me personally.
Mettle of Man
Groovy.
I could go on for ages, there are so many underappreciated perks out there that are overshadowed by the meta.
-
Unnerving Presence: Pretty good buff, but it'd still be kinda niche (If you wanna make it meta cause good skillchecks to have a small regression :P). The great skill check part is a nice touch.
Brutal Strength: Already a pretty good perk, but I don't see why an extra 5% would hurt.
Agitation: This'd be a great change. The pick up speed is my favourite part of Fire Up and I'd love it if another perk actually changed it. I'd make it a 20% increase personally. I'd run Agitation so much more often, it's already a really good time-saving perk and these changes would make it even better.
